The Gaza Proof on Palestinian Problem

People who have for years heard about the plight of the poor Palestinian Arabs under the harsh yoke of Israeli (Jew) oppression in propaganda paid for by leftists and Arab nations and groups. Billions upon billions of dollar and Euros have been spent on these campaigns. There have been further investments in the Palestinian Arabs with billion of dollars from the United States and billion of Euros from the European Union (EU) and its member nations a well as a good amount of funding from Arab nations and non EU European nations. Much, if not most of the money has gone for terrorism. Of the remaining funds, the vast majority of these presumably go for public works projects of which Mahmoud Abbas’s sons own the companies who supposedly do the work. Often the work is signed off as completed when in reality nothing was performed. The remainder is used for actual benefit of the Arabs. The Palestinian Authority (PA) uses their heavy financing for bribing cooperation from Hamas who are less well financed as the United States and the EU recognize their terrorist agenda. Still, the Hamas terrorist ruling dictatorial regime has found ways of regularly playing hard to get followed by relaxing their demands once the “desperate to unify with Gaza” Palestinian Authority offers sufficient support. We recently witnessed another fake reunion brokered by Egypt which, as expected by many who follow these events, has already began to crumble and will be dust blown into the crevasses of history soon to be forgotten. Now that Hamas has received the cash, they could stop the pretenses and soon what had appeared to be mended splits in their relationship returned to tearing the two apart. Unfortunately, all of the Hamas outstanding bills are paid and there is a terror organization on the Israeli border flush with cash and this means rockets returning to the border areas aimed at Israeli civilians. And there is the lesson of Gaza and the proof of what another Palestinian Arab state would be like.

Polls taken in Judea and Samaria (West Bank) of the PA Arabs on what governance they would desire and overwhelmingly they choose Hamas over the Mahmoud Abbas Kleptocracy. This was the exact situation when Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and President George W. Bush came up with the perfect way to prove exactly how civilized and ready to have a normative democratic state under the rule of law willing to live peacefully side-by-side with Israel. They pressed Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon until he gave in and allowed the PA to rule Gaza so they could prove their competence and desire to coexist peacefully, possibly even cooperatively. The Arabs of Gaza proved what many Israelis knew, they do not want a state, they want Israel destroyed and the Jews murdered. Within two and a half years, Hamas had stirred a popular uprising and taken control of Gaza throwing most of the PA officers and near all their security officers from Gaza and, as happens with every coup, more than a few PA officials and supporters were purged from our Earth. The periodic wars with Israel initiated by Hamas rocket fire into Israel reaching levels unacceptable and the terror tunnels and everything else that goes along with a governance set very few things, terrorism, destroying the state of Israel, murdering every Jew on the planet and self-enrichment. Much of this is included in the Hamas Charter and as such is not a secret. The Arabs living under PA rule poll similarly to the polls taken in Gaza around 2002. Should Mahmoud Abbas and the PA be granted their own state it would result in the same result with one exception, Israel could not survive an intense rocket barrage from the Judean heights which overlook Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Netanya, Ariel and the bulk of Israeli population and industrial and power production. Israel is merely nine miles wide at these points.

Nine Mile Wide Israeli Waist

Nine Mile Wide Israeli Waist

Let us discuss the eleven-year history between Israel and Hamas in Gaza and the actual reasons the media gave insufficient and inadequate coverage and where they concentrated their animus every action taken by Israel. Let us play a game called what if you lived there, what would your nation do. The there we are asking about could be south of the Falafel Restaurant on Hertzl St, in Hofit, Israel a short distance west of the northwestern end of Gaza. Let us take the first two months which eventually lead to an Israeli incursion and then we will discuss the after incursion events and why they could make Israeli leaders in a democracy wary of resorting to an intervention. The first week of this two-month period was not too abnormal for you and your friends in your neighborhood as the usual one rocket a month struck just south of town. The difference was that near every community was hit with a rocket, or at least another twenty or so. The next week is much the same, except that this has doubled the number of rockets you receive each month, but this week there were thirty other rockets. When a rocket lands in the center of town the next week, no fatalities and only a few people treated for shock and damage to a parking lot; you are too busy thanking Hashem that nobody was actually hurt. This time, escaping your knowledge as you were avoiding the news, over one-hundred rockets were fired into communities surrounding Gaza, mostly the northern half. By this time, many mayors and town councils are petitioning the government in writing and even in person from the larger communities such as Sderot where there was a concentration of rockets fired this week, a full one fourth landed within their area. So, with such a provocation your country would have responded with more than simple words. Thusfar, the only reaction from then Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu has been to address the media that his office is handling this as best is possible considering the situation. This was supposed to calm the population and it does, at least where the rockets are not falling.

Week three is much as was week two and the same for week four except there were twice as many total rockets. The new month, a five-week month even, and now two hundred rockets fall each day resulting in protestations from the government and finally direct contact and demands from Jerusalem to the Hamas Gaza government. The result, Hamas took the warnings well and again doubled the numbers of rockets and now over a half-dozen are falling in your general area. Week six and another doubling then week seven it doubles again then week eight and there are over two-hundred rockets fired from Gaza into Israel with a couple of dozen longer range rockets hitting Ashkelon and Ashdod. The warnings coming from Jerusalem have become terse and border threatening. Week nine and there are over a thousand rockets a day and some are striking the southern parts of Tel Aviv and the entire Tel Aviv population is up in arms. Tel Aviv can mean all the difference in an election and when they scream the government listens. Finally, the IDF is given orders to end the rocket fire from out of Gaza. This let loose the hounds on both sides and the number of rockets coming out of Gaza seem to multiple as they use up their entire stockpile of short-range rockets which means your town is next to uncountable and much of the population has left to live with relatives and citizens in northern Israel are opening their homes to any from around Gaza or wherever the rockets strike so they can both be and feel safe.

How many rockets would other nations tolerate before retaliating and ending the danger to its citizens? Let us see what we might guess might be the response. Mongolia fires five rockets into Russia and we would guess half of Mongolia would be wastelands under Russian military rule and the Mongolian government and military leadership stood against walls and shot. Mongolia decided it is time to target China as it has been a few centuries and the end result would be much the same as Russia except more violent. What if in a foolish rage, Mexico fired seven rockets into Texas? This might be one time that the country would not have an opportunity to act; Texas might take care of Mexico all by themselves. Pick a nation and the story would be much the same. Even South Korea acts against North Korea when fired upon unless the United States intervenes. What happened when the Iranian backed Houthis fired one missile at Riyadh, the Saudis launched a full-on air assault on the missile’s launch location immediately afterwards. There is not a single nation with military capabilities which would not respond when hundreds of missiles are launched into their territory daily with the singular exception of Israel. This is due to the singular fact that the Israelis know that one of Hamas’s main tactics is to launch from heavily populated areas, hide behind civilians and do all they can to maximize civilian casualties. Israel actually takes the civilian casualties of the civilians in Gaza into account as well as the Israelis. For the sake of the people of Gaza that the Israelis do not simply attack at the first rocket as Hamas fires at least one and sometimes as many as five to ten each month when they have sufficient stores.

So, now that we imagined that possibility and you realize that Israel takes weeks of provocation, let us discuss what the media sells the world, even some of the Israeli media as we have extreme left leaning reporters and editorialists here just as left as the NYT. When the first sortie is flown by the Israeli Air Force (AIF) the media lights up with headlines about Israel bombs Gaza and not until the, most often, next to the last or there abouts paragraph do you read that it was in response to Hamas rocket fire into Israel. They always say Hamas rocket fire so that it sounds like Hamas fired one rocket and Israel bombed twenty locations. Eventually, in the reporting over the next few days, once the average reader is tired of reading the same story day-in and day-out, the media will finally tell that Israel faced two months of ever increasing rockets fired into their civilian areas and once they hit Tel Aviv Israel reacted. Afterwards, when reporting on such events the media returns to the singular use of rocket and always second so it sounds as if Hamas fired in defense, not Israel. These incursions are as short as feasible as Israel tries not to maximize the damage done. The bombings by the IAF are military types of targets. When you read that Israel bombed a blacksmith shop and the owner cries, “about why did they bomb my store, now I and my family will go hunger,” know that he was making rocket parts for Hamas. This even goes for when Israel attacks schools, something done with IDF ground forces so as to minimize damage, it is because it is also being used as a weapons storage as the UNWRA supervisor admitted. Israel attempts to minimize civilian casualties but Hamas desires maximizing civilian casualties even to the point of disarming terrorists who died in battle and then taking pictures of what is claimed to be a slaughtered civilian as their fighters wear exactly the same clothing as the civilians. Hamas leaders take pride that their children, women and elderly are used as human shields openly declaring, as in the video below, “Saying to the Zionist enemy: ‘We desire death like you desire life.’” Their children are taught this in their schools and in the UNWRA schools as well as being taught a poisonous hatred for Jews particularly and all those who do not follow Islam.

The Middle East is the most anti-Semitic region on earth; further 93% of Palestinians are holding anti-Semitic beliefs, most a pure and unadulterated hatred. As stated above, the anti-Semitic propaganda is taught as curriculum in their schools, preached in their Mosques and ubiquitous in their society with those unwilling to die when called for immediately murdered in front of everyone else as an example. This teaching of hatred and genocide against the Jews is not limited to Gaza, the Arabs residing in the PA ruled lands hear the same from their teachers and Imams as witnessed in the video below. Should the Arabs currently residing in the areas ruled by the PA be granted the state Mahmoud claims they desire, they will assist Hamas in a coup taking over these lands as well. Once Hamas has taken over their area, then Tel Aviv and the surrounding region will be under the range of even the smallest rockets with a ten mile range as Israel is a mere nine miles wide at her waist.

This is the problem Israel would face within a few years, if not months or days, after Hamas replaced the PA and proceeded to continue their war just as they have in Gaza except now Tel Aviv can be fired at directly. Europe is fully behind allowing for Palestinian Arab takeover of the entirety of Judea and Samaria all the way to the Green Line. Such a state would result in rockets fired along line of sight into downtown Tel Aviv and place aircraft taking off from Ben Gurion International Airport also within direct line of sight as they taxi along the runways and taxiways. Israel would be cut in half with a huge swath across the middle before Israel could react. Hamas taking control of these areas would result in the Hamas dream, the depopulation of the State of Israel and an end to the Zionist dreams. That is why there was an article titled An appeal to Alan Dershowitz – Renounce two-statism! Alan Dershowitz had been a great voice for Israel but his continuing to push the dead and buried two-state solution. One can only hope that Mr. Dershowitz at least read one if not both of these articles and learns the error of his ways. One can only hope he learns as his voice is written into the NYT as the near sole voice backing Israel in that publication. Change need come and the reality of today is required and not repeating an old story even rejected by the PA even before the Oslo Accords were signed in September 1993. Actually, as we have pointed out repeatedly, Yasser Arafat, and after him Mahmoud Abbas, have rejected every last offer no matter how generous even those which included half of Jerusalem, acceptance of refugees and lands in 90% or more of the area within the Green Line saving Israel in the process. Please tell us we do not need post this picture yet again to prove the point.

But It Has a Happy Ending

Unfortunately, the beginnings are an intentional affront and a threat to Israel’s existence completely financed by Europe and numerous clandestine groups and Arab nations who prefer not to be identified. It all started quite a number of years ago when Israel had yet to be formed. The British were holding the Mandate to form the Jewish State. Their first step towards making that concept disappear was to take 78% of that area and make an Arab Palestinian State called Transjordan, today known as Jordan. This was insufficient, so while the Jews in Europe really could have used a place in which to run, the British held the number permitted in to theoretically 75,000 Jews per year. They let in only a fraction of this number throughout World War II while bringing in around 100,000 Arabs each year even if they had to be paid. The British knew that as long as there were more Arabs than Jews that Israel, the Jewish State, could never be formed. Eventually Israel was formed largely made possible by Jews running the British blockade after World War II ended. The really disgusting thing was after the war many Jews when returning to their homes found their home lived in by another family, always Christians, their business run by some Christians, and their neighbors just as likely to run them out of town roughly as they were to murdering them. Jews learned they no longer had a place in Europe. This was made perfectly clear in this incident which is one of many similar incidents most of which were covered up and never made it into written history as there were no Jewish survivors to tell the story, but they became known as warnings to Jews that returning home was not necessarily a good idea after surviving the Concentrations Camps or hiding out the entire ordeal.

The next bold statement of Jews refusing to allow their own defeat came in the form of the miracle of their surviving the six national armies attack on the morning of Israel’s birth. This was after the Arab League had turned down the United Nations partition offered in General Assembly Resolution 181. Once the Arab League refused the division, the entire resolution became null and void and could not be used as a binding document at any future time. General Assembly Resolutions are suggestive in nature and unless both sides agree, they have no further weight. The Zionist Congress and Israelis government agreed to the division, as anything was preferable to a war in which they would begin with no formal armed forces. They patched their groups which had fought the British occupation into a fighting force which only by the grace of Hashem managed to retain any land. Israel lost lands as Gaza and Judea and Samaria (West Bank) were lost to Egypt and Jordan respectively (see maps below).

Resolution 181 Division,

The next act of audacity was for Israel to win the Six Day War , liberating Gaza and the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) while gaining the Golan Heights and Sinai Peninsula and then to follow that by surviving the initial attacks and then proving victorious in the Yom Kippur War and even threaten Cairo. That was until the United States, under the auspices of the Department of State, threatened Israel with military forces under United States command and the backing of the United Nations and the world at large if Israel did not halt all advances towards Cairo, Alexandria and Damascus and return to the armistice lines remaining from the Six Day War which were the starting point of that war. When Israel made peace with Egypt they offered to return all of the Sinai Peninsula as well as Gaza but Egypt declined to reapply their occupation of Gaza and returned these lands to Israel along with the large Arab Muslim population. Later when Israel made her peace with Jordan, they declined to reoccupy Judea and Samaria and returned them to Israel but left their citizens they had forced to move into the area while they occupied it giving their poorest citizens the Jews former homes and properties. Jordan also had destroyed Synagogues and desecrated Jewish cemeteries.

Israel having offered to return the occupied lands which Egypt and Jordan had occupied and returned to Israeli control was probably the beginning of another plan to dissolve Israel in a sea of Arabs who would take over the nation democratically, but Israel did not simply grant these Arabs left from Egypt and Jordan into her citizenry thus were not overrun by Arab voters. This likely led to the concept which was the real beginnings which came in September of 1993 and had a large amount of assistance from European nations, the United States State Department (again), and some rose colored glasses wearing extreme leftists who believed that if Yasser Arafat were granted respectability, then he could be given a Palestinian Arab nation, then a peace could be made which would assist in ending the stand-off between the Israelis and the Arab World, this was called the Oslo Accords. The Europeans and State Department saw this agreement slightly differently as they were targeting Israel for extermination, the nation and if that included the Jews living there, well, they could live with that as well. Now we get to go through a number of ill-thought-out choices by the leadership of Israel, more often than not under duress or leftist leadership which may have you doubting the intelligence of those who desired the path we have taken.

After the idea that Yasser Arafat was willing and desired to make peace should have been completely demolished after the Paris accords where he agreed that should Israel meet a set of terms which were far beyond anything Israel had ever even approached conceding which included East Jerusalem and borders based strongly with the 1949 Armistice Lines, the Green Line and President Clinton felt good about taking this to Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. Arafat was secure in the thought that there would be absolutely no way on earth that Israel would accept borders along most of the Green Line as well as giving back the Old City, Temple Mount and all of East Jerusalem. President William Jefferson Clinton must have felt wonderful as he went to sleep that night knowing he had just settled the Israel-Palestinian Arab conflict as both sides had agreed to the deal. Yasser Arafat went to bed very nervous as President Clinton had not come back with any counter proposal which Arafat could turn down, repeat his demands safe in the knowledge that the Israelis would never give away Jerusalem, let alone the borders resembling the Green Line with over ninety percent of the Green Line being the future border and even the Jordan Valley along the west side of the Jordan River, a natural defensive position. Rumor has it that Arafat ordered his driver to be ready from 6:00 AM on and his plane to be ready for immediate takeoff along the same timeline. He suspected and feared the worst thing possible, that the Israelis had agreed to his demands. Well, President Clinton showed up for the meetings that morning confident that peace was at hand, Prime Minister Barak showed up for the meetings that morning confident that peace was at hand and Yasser Arafat showed up for that morning’s meetings with his bags in the limousine and the driver ready and when he heard Secretary of State Madeline Albright ask who was to sign the agreement, which she was holding copies of in her hands, first, Arafat bolted from his chair for the exit. Secretary of State Albright tried as best she could to catch the fleeing Arafat but simply resulted in her standing at the top of the steps waving papers as Yasser Arafat drove off towards the airport. Later, it was revealed that the Second Intifada had been planned before the negotiations had even commenced and Yasser Arafat never intended to negotiate in good faith but was instead ready to launch yet another offensive intended to drive the Israelis from their lands fleeing in stark terror before the waves of suicide bombings.

But the surrender by Israel really began at the end of the Six Day War when Minister of Defense suggested that the Jordanian Waqf be permitted to return and be left to take over running the Temple Mount just as they had done before the war as a sign of good faith. Initially, the Temple Mount was open for visitors who could use any entrance to visit the holy site. That was the initial status-quo but did not remain that way as slowly the Waqf moved to prevent all people other than Muslims to be all but banned from entering the Temple Mount except for limited times each day at the whim of the Waqf who can close the site whenever they choose. They also provide guards who will order any person suspected of prayer or anything which might be deemed unacceptable to Muslim supremacy be removed and possibly arrested for such acts of offense. The entire situation has followed along a parallel path as well. Within half a dozen years of the Arafat debacle in Paris a new idea cropped up coming from Secretary of State (it had to be the State Department again) Condoleezza Rice, who was reported to have privately pointed out the obvious parallels with the black experience in the Antebellum South and the treatment of the Palestinian Arabs, and backed by George W. Bush, who was presumed to be one of Israel’s greatest allies to hold the office of President, that Israel turn complete control and allow the formation of an Arab state in Gaza as an opportunity for the Palestinian Authority to prove their ability to live peacefully and run an actual political entity. In August of 2005 Israel, with great emotional angst and a divided population tearing the nation apart, pulled all of their people, military and all institutions out of Gaza and an American Jewish group paid to leave the greenhouses in Gaza and in working order so as to allow for a basic economy to exist. The greenhouses were torn apart and used to make rockets and launchers and within two years, Hamas had taken complete control over Gaza evicting the Palestinian authority in a coup. Since then Israel has been forced into three wars to end rockets raining down on Israeli civilians with each round Hamas and Islamic Jihad proving to have rockets of greater and greater range with their latest capable of reaching Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and closing in on reaching Haifa. There has been proof that Iran had assisted Hamas off and on giving them greater rocket engine technology and also assisting Islamic Jihad and there have been rumors of IRGC advisors smuggled into Gaza with even greater technologies and training. Needless to point out, the Gaza experiment was nothing short of a complete and unmitigated disaster.

Over the years whenever the Western nations, read the Europeans and the Americans, particularly the State Department, have demanded that Israel, as a sign of good faith and proof that they really desire peace, give a concession of some sort, usually conceding control of lands in Judea and Samaria, to the Palestinian Authority just to have a photo opportunity for the President with the leader of the Palestinian Authority, either Yasser Arafat or Mahmoud Abbas, as they proved interchangeable, shake hands with the Israeli Prime Minister and that was often the actual only accomplishment. Should there have been actual meetings after that it was always the same picture, Israel giving up control of more territory until the Arabs broke off negotiations pocketing the territories gained and giving up nothing. The negotiations always broke off the instant that it became necessary for the Palestinian Arabs to give up even recognition that Israel is a Jewish State. The reason this cannot and must not be granted by the Palestinian Authority leadership is simply because their desire is to erase Israel from the map or change it into an Arab state, nothing less will suffice as far as they are concerned and everything they do is towards that end. The secret is that this is also the desired result being sought by the Europeans and the United States Department of State. Oh, they will never admit that this is their desired result, but they along with the United Nations and most of the Arab and Muslim worlds all target Israel with the intent of her destruction. The result of all these concessions and negotiations and promises from so many “well-meaning” souls has been that Israel has all but given away all of Areas A and B.

But there have been other developments since 2012 as a result of a concerted effort, replete with European Union makings of at least five-hundred illegal buildings, which they claim are for Palestinian Arabs when the final peace comes. They do not believe for a moment that there is any peace deal ever going to come. The European Union was intentionally building facts on the ground to assist the Arab claim that all the land belongs to them. They know that should they manage to force the Israelis out of Judea and Samaria that this will lead to the bombardment of Tel Aviv and the entire coastal region along with Jerusalem and that this, in their estimation, will force the Jews to surrender the entirety of Israel. Once the schemers get their wildest desires, and they will not surrender trying until the day that Jerusalem and the greater Tel Aviv metropolitan area and suburbs are left as a smoldering heap of massive damage from massive rocket attacks of tens of thousands launched as rapidly as the Arabs are able, the final conflict will have been initiated. This will be when the full force of the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) will be felt. There will be no measured response and everything short of nuclear weapons will be unleashed on the Arabs who launched the attack as well as those who failed to prevent that action. They will all be driven across the Jordan River if they are fortunate, the remainder will be killed in the onslaught. The anger from the Israelis and their fighting force will be unleashed on whoever stands in opposition. Should Hezballah in Lebanon think this a good time to strike at Israel in conjunction with the Palestinian Arabs of the PA and Hamas, then Israel will also strike at Lebanon with equal ferocity as Hezballah and Lebanon have become one and the same thing as was proven in the Hezballah victory parade in Syria where they displayed their Abrams Tanks they procured from the Lebanese Army when the two forces merged. Simply stated, whoever pops their heads up and claims they want their piece of the war will find those heads removed in as rapid a fashion as feasible. Will Israel face destruction, probably quite a bit, especially along the Tel Aviv coast from Ashkelon to Haifa as well as around Jerusalem but buildings can be replaced, Israel must remain.

Depicting the Combined Rocket Capability
of Palestinian Arabs from West Bank and Gaza
if Europe and the United States Force a Green Line Border

When that day these Europeans and select Americans envision comes and the Arabs are able to rain missiles onto the Israeli cities, there will be a surprise. If such comes from the Palestinian Authority areas; then the leadership, at the least, and the entire population, if required, will be driven from lands which were promised Israel and the Jews under the San Remo Conference, Treaty of Severs and the British Crown. Israel will take the lands to the Jordan River and that will be the end of the entire farce the world has been perpetrating with the intent to drive Israel into the ground. Israel and the Jews are home again and we are not leaving no matter what the world may try. The Arabs will not drive us from our homelands and neither will the European Union. We do not want anything more than what was promised and the world knows exactly what was promised. They may lie and attempt to steal the land from under our feet but that is not going to happen, not now, not ever. That is the promise that every Israeli child who loves this land makes when they enlist in the IDF.

Definitive Map of Israel

The map above is the promise reached with the British Crown when they repurposed 78% of the Mandate to fulfill two promises, to give the Arab Palestinians (those two words order are interchangeable) and to give a nation to the second Hashemite son of King Faisal, Abdullah I bin al-Hussein, the first king of Jordan. They took all the land east of the Jordan River to the border of Iraq where King Abdullah I’s brother ruled as the other half of the promise. That left the remaining paltry 22% of the land for the Jewish State and this was to be considered inviolate protected by the British Crown. Well, we have now seen that the worth and weight, not to mention veracity of promises from the British Crown have become. Still, this was what was promised. We gave away Gaza but should Hamas be a part of this fight, that too can change. The only promise I would hope could be given is we will stop at these borders and if everybody else accepts that the war is done, then that will be the end and peace will come with these borders. Anything beyond them, which include all of Judea, Samaria and the Golan Heights, but not Gaza on the map as we gave that away of our own accords, our own insanity of the moment while greatly pressured. And the lesson we learned should pay us dividends going forward. The result of Gaza should be fair warning. Does Israel have other problems? Yes, we have our internal difficulties, as we are a democracy and what nation does not have difficulties except, if you believe their propaganda, North Korea and Iran. Oh yes, Venezuela and Syria used to make that claim but making it today would be a ridiculous joke. In Israel the potential threats, which come from near and far with the far being the more troublesome, are simply part of everyday life and the ones from Europe and the United States State Department are some of the most feared with Iran a distant second. The Arabs in our neighborhood should remember that they have never witnessed the full brunt of what Israel today is capable of unleashing and we pray nobody ever requires such horrors from us; we prefer life even if our enemies worship death. Perhaps many do not remember Israeli history when we fought people who worshiped Ba’al which is another means of worshiping death as such belief included human sacrifice including the sacrifice of infants. We fought such back in the beginning and are amazed how little the barbarians have changed as they still sacrifice humans and even children in their craze to murder Israelis. If you listen to them, they are not targeting Israelis, they want to kill Jews which can be seen in their own words in videos captured and translated by Palestinian Media Watch, Middle East Media Research Institute and Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America. For the record, should Israel receive her due and have the Jordan River and Golan Heights as her eastern border and peace finally achieved, that would be an extremely happy ending and then we could write about just Israel’s internal needs instead of watching the world so closely. We can wish and hope but Hashem will provide what we need when we need, and that is happiness too.

The Israeli Netanyahu Complex

Israel, Israelis and Prime Minister Netanyahu have a serious love-hate relationship. Despite this, Benyamin Netanyahu has managed the atmosphere, publicity, situations, levels of apprehension and threat analyses in such a manner such that he appears to be the sole leader who can manage the situation without serious consequences and maintain a lower level of violence than anybody else. This has led to his retaining the position of Prime Minister for twelve of the last twenty-one years and for the past ten years straight and still in office. Currently, there does not appear to be anyone who could seriously challenge Prime Minister Netanyahu for the office. None of the current leaders of the other parties with the possible exception of Naftali Benet from Jewish Home and, in an effort for reality, there are those claiming that the one man to defeat him before, Ehud Barak of the Labor Party if they would run him also might be capable of defeating him. The honest hope for Ehud Barak is mostly a pipe dream but if he were to run he could count on having some very experienced campaign advisors as the United States Democrat Party campaign specialists would probably be dispatched to assist as they have in every effort to unseat Netanyahu and place a left leaning, or preferably a leftist, Prime Minister. A recent article we read spoke of some Israeli politicians who might be capable of replacing Netanyahu so we decided to talk about what we see as their chances and why they might have difficulty.

The first is Yisrael Katz who is the current Minister of Transportation and Minister of Intelligence and Atomic Energy and belongs to the Likud Party. Another was Gilad Erdan who currently holds the positions of Minister of Public Security, Strategic Affairs Minister and Minister of Information and is also a member of the Likud Party. Their next choice was Yariv Levin who currently serves as Minister of Internal Security and Minister of Tourism plus also is a member of Likud. Their final choice was Ze’ev Elkin who is the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Minister of Environmental Protection and also is a member of Likud and had joined Kadima under Prime Minister Sharon. These men all share the same weakness, they are members of the Likud Party, the same party lead and totally owned by Prime Minister Netanyahu. This means that as long as they behave themselves and do not rock the boat and especially do not challenge the boss and behave themselves, then the arch-leader of Likud will dole out prestigious positions which will give them notoriety but nothing so impressive or important that it would allow them to actually believe they have any real hope to replace Bibi Netanyahu at the top of the Likud Party lists and thus allow them to run for Prime Minister. Historically, those who have attempted to challenge Netanyahu have soon found themselves placed below position thirty-six and even possibly past forty-five on the ministerial list all but guaranteeing that you will not be in the Knesset, if you somehow do manage to make it because Likud actually realized more than thirty-five or forty-five or even over sixty positions, the fact you are so far down on the list there is no hope no matter your qualifications of being assigned any Cabinet Ministership. Simply, should you challenge Bibi Netanyahu for leadership of the Likud Party you will only be in a position to do so once and after that you may as well leave Likud and make your way to another party and pray that you gain notoriety in that manner. Remaining in Likud will have you perform penitence for a period until your name is barely remembered before being permitted to see the light of day politically. These men were accurately described as being possibly not charismatic like Bibi Netanyahu is, but they are more trustworthy, have experience, and are honest. This is a valid assessment but still meaningless for as long as they are in Likud and Netanyahu still desires to be the Party head and their candidate for Prime Minister, and that does not appear as if it will change any time in the foreseeable future.

Bottom row Yariv Levin and Ze’ev Elkin

This means that anyone who truly has any opportunity and an actual viable hope to replace Benyamin Netanyahu as Prime Minister, they will need to come from another party. This leaves three avenues by which one might steer their party into surpassing Likud in Ministerial Knesset postings and thus make it to becoming the next Prime Minister of Israel. The traditional means of accomplishing this was to be from a diametrically opposite party. This would mean that one would need to come from one of two parties, Labor Party which is currently led by Isaac Herzog or Meretz currently led by Zehava Gal-On. There is also the off chance that the Labor Party might be taken over by Ehud Barak who would be promising that he could unseat Netanyahu just as he had done in the July 1999 elections when President Bill Clinton sent a team of his best political operatives to run Barak’s campaign. With the current political climate, these left leaning to strongly left parties would have little if any chance of winning as the Israeli public has been moving to the conservative, nationalist and Zionist ends of the political spectrum and away from the left, liberal and progressive end. So this route is not currently viable if one is to be completely honest. To give an example from memory, there was a poll taken for the left leaning parties which listed different possible candidates who might challenge Netanyahu and none of those listed, which included all of the above mentioned, managed to clear thirty-three percent in polling of the Israeli public. The next groups would be the centrist parties which include Yesh Atid led by it founder Yair Lapid and Kulanu whose leader is Moshe Kahlon. Of the two parties, Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid is the only one which might have a chance of defeating Netanyahu though such is unlikely unless one of the Zionist or conservative parties splits the right wing voters almost dead evenly with Likud, something which may be more likely than many might think. In such a race, the parties having the best chance to knock off Likud other than their fellow travelers on the right include Yair Lapid and also Yisrael Beiteinu, and representing the Russian Israelis and some centrist to conservative leaning and their leader Avigdor Lieberman. This would only come into play should probably Jewish Home whose leader is Naftali Bennett ran almost dead even with Netanyahu and Likud in the election, and even then, the combination of Likud and Jewish Home votes would probably run really close to needing only a few additional seats to reach sixty-one Ministers. This would lead to both Yair Lapid and Avigdor Lieberman likely maneuvering for the best Ministerial spots they could garner as the two Zionist, conservative, right wing parties, Likud and Jewish Home, go head-to-head contending for control, ending up placing their leader into the Prime Minister spot or if they would end up sharing the position due to a tie.

Attempting to garner a shared spot as Prime Minister might be the best hope for any party fortunate enough to approach the positions taken by Likud and/or Jewish Home. So, reality claims that Naftali Bennett might have the best chance of pressing his party to the fore and becoming Prime Minister. The difficulty which Naftali Bennett would have to overcome was his statement in the last weeks in the run up to the election was that he did not believe he was sufficiently experienced to become Prime Minister. This statement would come back to bite him and he would be required to explain what had changed making him now confident he was competent enough to be the Israeli Prime Minister, one position which calls for a steady hand and resolute actions. What might be required might be new leadership in Jewish Home before they could challenge Netanyahu. The number two in the party currently is a very popular young woman, Ayelet Shaked, the current Justice Minister. Justice Minister Shaked has stated in an interview that the day may come when she would consider running for the office of Prime Minister. Her qualifier was that it might be some time, as she desires to raise her children before taking on such a stressful and time-consuming position. There is one pressing question we would like to put to Ms. Shaked, what kind of Israel would you like for your precious children to grow up and live in, serve in the IDF within and face what kind of future? If your answer sounds anything like what you stand for, then you might wish to reconsider your time scale as currently with the leadership we see the future you desire presumably for your children will never happen. Israel needs to progress to that vision we heard you express and you might be the sole person who can get Israel to that place. In order to get there, Prime Minister Netanyahu must be replaced by a person with vision and the internal fortitude to challenge the world and move to the future Israel will be permitted to survive, and you understand these challenges all too well, so please think about altering your time scales for your children and Israel’s sake.

What we have observed is that Prime Minister Netanyahu is far more concerned with remaining as Prime Minister than he is the future of Israel. He preaches about the threats and gives reason after reason why building cannot proceed at this time and has been claiming this for close to a decade. He is always willing to side with and arrange through promises, threats and enticements for the immediate destruction or a timed destruction in a few months after the people have had the opportunity to move and then almost always destroys their homes as soon as he is able. Then the replacement homes never materialize as to do so would upset the United States President, or would cause more terrorism or would set things in the peace process in danger or whatever excuse even to include the stars are not in a positive alignment. Prime Minister Netanyahu refuses to remove Hamas, despite their ever-growing menace and may soon launch a serious and immense rocket and missile barrage timed to have coinciding terrorists pouring out of infiltration tunnels all timed to include cooperation with Muslim Brotherhood or Islamic State rocket launches from the Sinai Peninsula which Israel is unable to respond to should they be launched from deeper within the Sinai Peninsula, as doing so could place Egyptian forces in danger and thus would require making arrangements with President Sisi of Egypt before striking. This assault could result in thousands of Israelis murdered before the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) could respond with sufficient troops to counter any large-scale attack. During the last Gaza war IDF forces who investigated the infiltration tunnels found motorcycles, stolen IDF uniforms or good copies, cashes of weapons, large quantities of ammunition, hand grenades, mortars to be fired from within Israel and maps showing the IDF bases and position, Israeli towns and Kibbutzim with the children’s schools and preschools and daycare locations marked, maps of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and other Israeli population centers, diagrams of the Dimona Nuclear facility, locations marked of the shelters where Israelis would ride out the rocket attacks and other intelligence which would aid Hamas terrorists in causing the greatest damage and taking of life possible. This somehow did not enter into the post-war analysis which is a devastating oversight, or more likely an intentional attempt to keep the people feeling quasi-safe.

The one item Prime Minister Netanyahu has gotten correct is that Mahmoud Abbas and the entirety of the Palestinian Authority are not true peace partners. Despite knowing this, nothing has been done to alter the leadership and find leaders who would pursue peace and work against continued terrorism. Independent polling has proven one thing about the Palestinian Arabs residing in both Gaza and Judea and Samaria (Palestinian authority Areas) has shown that given an opportunity to immigrate to somewhere other than the areas where they are currently stuck and refused permission or the freedom to leave, sell their home or practice any normalcy, even without any monetary assistance, a sizable majority would flee the instant doing so was not life threatening. Their lives and opportunities for a normal life and a future for their children is so impossible and their lives oppressed with much of their wealth stolen by the governance, Arab governance, not Israeli, that they simply want out from under their kleptocratic governance. Another item that Prime Minister Netanyahu has avoided pursuing has been pressing the world with the truth that in Gaza, the Arabs are ruled by Hamas and Islamic Jihad and the Arabs in Judea and Samaria are ruled by the Palestinian Authority and neither group is permitted free or open elections with Abbas not allowing elections since 2005. Israel has no control, as these are semiautonomous regions making them self-ruled. Netanyahu has allowed the world to blame Israel for the conditions in places where Israel has no influence and allowed the concept that Israel stole land from a nation of Palestine, a nation which has never existed in all of history. Under the governments of Prime Minister Netanyahu, the world has taken steps which could result in the loss of all of Jerusalem including Western Jerusalem. Israel should have been speaking loudly and often about our undividable capital city, which King David established three thousand plus years ago. We should be pressing the fact that the world promised us the lands from the River to the Sea and that Judea and Samaria were occupied illegally by Jordan who placed their own citizens in the lands by force, a crime against humanity and a war crime and that Egypt illegally held Gaza and that in 1967 these lands were liberated by the IDF and returned to Israel by right and the world knew that at the time and still worked to steal these lands away. There should have been a constant drumbeat of how Israel desires peace and the reality is that the Arabs do not desire peace or a state for the Arab Palestinians, they just want to destroy Israel and Israel will not allow such. Finally, Israel should take back Judea and Samaria, allow the Arabs to leave if they desire with their lands bought by the Israeli government or they could sell them to anyone wishing to purchase them if they feel that would get them a better price. They might even be offered a one-time departure benefit to assist their relocating to make it more enticing. Such an offer would be put forth for one year and only one year. As far as Gaza, if there should be provocations by Hamas or other terrorists from within Gaza then Israel will take back the Gaza and remove any terrorist infrastructure and give the same freedoms to immigrate to another nation with a one time bonus and the same buyout offer as given the Arabs from the Palestinian Authority once their lives were liberated from their oppressive rulers. As far as Abbas and his henchmen, they would be sent out paying their own way and given seventy-two hours to clear out and they would be permitted to find a place which would accept them and they can live off their hundreds of millions of stolen Euros and Dollars. They should also be warned that should they ever be caught within the boundaries of Israel in the future they would be put to death immediately. Now where can we find a Prime Minister who is at least willing to build in Area C which by the Oslo Accords belongs to Israel and then Area B and then Area A because according to the United Nations Charter Article 80 all of the lands of Judea and Samaria belong to Israel, period? We would permit the Arabs remaining all the religious freedoms, land ownership, the right to work as they please and social rights but no political rights within Israeli elections. They would be treated as resident aliens and any alteration in that status would be a possibility down the road at some later date, but they should consider relocating as that day of becoming citizens of Israel would be quite a while coming, if ever. Israelis should and are getting tired of the same excuses and they are wearing thin. President Trump wishes to be our friend but his ignorance makes him a danger to our health and future. If he could believe Abbas about educating their children for peace and then after being shown the reality and then turn right around and believe Abbas claiming he will no longer pay terrorists or their families, well we need to show him the proof again but can such an uniformed person be trusted to ever catch up with the lies, unlikely. Time has come for Israel to do what Israel must do, period. Can somebody please step up and take control and walk the walk and not just talk?
