Jews Who Are Counter-Productive on Israel

The extreme leftist Jews love to protest their self-proclaimed Israeli occupation of Judea and Samaria. You talk to any of them and they will proudly claim that Israel has no desire to pursue peace. They will tell you all about how Israel is illegally occupying Judea and Samaria under International Law. They will go on about how the area of Judea and Samaria are the Palestinians homeland and that Israel must return the lands immediately and stop stalling. They will claim that it is Netanyahu who refuses to meet with Mahmoud Abbas despite any and all evidence to the contrary. And their favorite pastime is protesting Israel loudly and proudly claiming that their Jewishness safeguards them from any charges of anti-Semitism. With their sanctimoniousness, it is difficult to have to deflate their confidence in the complete faultlessness of their arguments. The one thing that is even better is most of the claims in the rest of this article could mostly be applied to virtually all the students protesting Israel with the exception of those instigators and inciters used by NGO’s to lead so many students to protest Israel using pseudo-information that they know are pure propaganda mixed with unadulterated lies with an occasional statistic or fact mixed in for the sake of making everything else credible.

One of their points is that Israel took the land in the 1967 war. This they actually have correct. They claim they stole it from the Palestinians who were not even combatants in the war. This is tricky because if there were actually any people by the name of Palestinians at that time, they were not combatants. The problem is there were no Palestinians and the closest thing was the PLO which had no claims to Judea and Samaria but did claim all of Israel within the Green Line and was sworn to defeat the Jews driving them into the Sea to drown or killing them where they stood. The area of Judea and Samaria at the time between 1948 and the Six Day War was occupied; let us get this straight, that is occupied illegally, by Jordan. Jordan took control of this land during the War to Annihilate the Jews fought by over a half dozen Arab Armies against Israel starting on the morning of her birth. Jordan held half of Jerusalem and the areas of Judea and Samaria which was part of the guaranteed areas west of the Jordan River which were to be the State of Israel after an agreement reached with the British upon allowing the formation of the Arab State of Jordan. Jordan illegally annexed the land and their action was recognized by only two nations, Britain and Pakistan. After the attempt at destroying Israel by the judgement of the Peel Commission, Britain trying to help destroy Israel at every turn is quite believable (see map below). Fortunately, the Peel Commission was rejected, as was the annexation by Jordan. Even the Arab and Muslim world outside of Pakistan rejected their annexation. Also, in the War to Annihilate Israel which raged on and off through 1948-9, Egypt gained control over Gaza though they never attempted to annex the land. Jordan and Egypt both threw all the Jews from their homes and lands and Jordan went further and gifted land to many Jordanians of presumed merit though most never utilized these lands. This was a means of removing all Jewish claims to the lands. The Jordanians also illegally forced numerous Jordanian citizens to relocate onto the lands they illegally held against International Law and gave Jordanian citizenship to all Arabs living in the area. These are truths that these protesters ignore likely because they were never educated in history and were never curious enough to seek the truth themselves.

These wonderful and wide-eyed leftists right out or still incubated in college or university take on complete faith their professors tales of the crimes committed by Israeli Defense Force (IDF) soldiers which are just as big of lies as was Mahmoud Abbas trying to pass the Palestinian incitement of which he personally has taken the lead as educating their children in peace to President Trump, a lie which has been revealed using Abbas and his own words. What their professors never taught their young charges was Jewish history and the Twelve Tribes of Israel and that Israel held both sides of the Jordan River and for her northern border she had the Litani River which is inside Lebanon today and holds the Hezballah terrorist army between the Litany River and the Blue Line, the Israeli northern border with Lebanon (see map below). The Tribes of Israel included the best snow skiing in the Middle East on Mount Hermon and the medicinal waters of the Dead Sea. The Golan Heights and the Kinneret were all within her borders. What do these snowflakes from University know of this history? Probably little or nothing.

Eretz Yisroel from back in the time immediately after Exodus and before the additional conquest by King David and King Solomon with the original division of the lands between the Tribes covering both sides of the Jordan River. The Israelis and Jews in general could attempt to demand that Eretz Yisroel, the Land of Israel be made whole as was First Apportioned by Hashem.

Israel is not reluctant to make peace. Israel offered to give Judea and Samaria back to their illegal occupiers, Jordan, when the two nations reached their peace just as she had offered to return Gaza to Egypt and both refused, as there was an Arab plan to hatch. That plan was to invent a new Arab people called the Palestinians who were going to claim that they had a history in the lands. Inspect their claims and then read the Jewish history and you do not have to take modern Israelis view, read the Old Testament, the Torah (Five Books of Moses) as well as the rest of the Bible which includes Kings and Prophets and Judges. Read the entirety of the Jewish history written in the time in which it was made by those who lived and saw it in real time. The Israelite, the Jews, beginning in these lands came when Joshua crossed the Jordan and sacked Jericho, defeated five armies at Ai and then conquered the south and began the conquest of the north which had to be left for those who followed to complete, but the promise was kept and Hashem laid the land open before the Jewish People and they swelled within. Saul was anointed King and then David ruled and then Solomon who built the First Temple and the lands flourished. But it all started when they crossed the Jordan River and Joshua led the Army into the lands and began the defeat of the Canaanites, not the Arabs by any name and especially not any Palestinian Arabs who Abbas or another official once claimed lived in the lands nine thousand years ago. Well, then the Canaanites must have driven them out as they were not present for Joshua to conquer when he entered the lands just over three-thousand-five-hundred years ago, that is around 1489 BCE, in case you were wondering. (His route to the conquest of the holy Lands and the start of the nation in the Promised Lands can be seen in the map below.) The history is quite remarkable and probably a far easier and more interesting read than your chemistry books and mathematics books, at least as I remember them from my days back in the stone age.

The realty is quite a bit different, as the area known as Judea and Samaria belonged to Israel under International Law and was illegally occupied by Jordan from 1948 up until the Six Day War; Israel did not conquer the area as Israel liberated lands that belong to Israel from Jordanian occupation. The Arabs residing in the area were holding Jordanian passports and identifications and were citizens of Jordan which meant that by International Law Israel could have made them relocate back into their country which had forced many to move into these lands; they legally could, and maybe should, have sent them back into Jordan. Having sent them all into Jordan immediately and reclaiming what was legally Israel would have saved Israel all the headaches they have faced ever since. The reason that Israel did not relocate the Arabs was simple; Israel is not a normal nation but a nation of people who are supposed to lead by showing the world a better face for humanity, a better way of treating one another, simply to be a light unto the nations. Unfortunately, Israel is located in an area where civility is seen as weakness and mercy as a form of surrender. Israel’s enemies know that the Jews are not a cruel people and use this against Israel. The professors in the universities know the youngsters in their charge are neophytes as far as historical knowledge and that their words are unquestioned by their students and thus they use them as their personal weapon against what they believe is the greatest evil in the world today, their own nation. As leftists, they cannot help but find that religious people are inherently evil and unthinking and all the things they despise most. This is why they tell lies about Israel and the Jewish People, their own people. Their little charges will grow as they enter the world and meet people with different perspectives and more knowledge which was not provided back in all their years of schooling, which is why it is known as the College of Hard Knocks in which I am working on my doctorate and that takes a lifetime. Learn whose land it was under International Law before you decide that someone is breaking International Law because when it comes to Israel, the world is attempting to coop and break International Law day in and day out, and they are doing so against their favorite people to blame for all their own ills, the Jewish People. Again, read history throughout the ages and remember the admonition we received from the All Knowing, in every generation there will be one to rise up against you. The one was not a person as much as an enemy, and this time the one is everyone and they have used you. Learn history, learn International Law, learn from the sages through the ages, and learn about the Jewish People and when you have learned a lifetime of learning, then we can talk. Learn, most important of all, on your own and trust very few, just the few who have proven that they will not lie to you and are not going to candy coat the truth even if that truth is difficult to swallow and goes against everything you think you know. First, test what everyone says by seeking out those who hold the opposite opinion and then check each one’s sources. The first we would recommend is the Bible as it holds a few thousand years of knowledge in a single book with some tremendous stories which will amaze you.

Israelis Rally at Kotel with Answer for Kerry

Secretary of State Kerry floated the idea of proposing his framework agreement to the Israeli people in a speech in the hopes that they could be swayed into accepting the plan and pressuring the government to accept the entire plan. Israelis decided to provide an answer without the need for any speech with a protest against the proposed framework that is being pushed by Secretary of State Kerry. The theme for the assembly was presented more as a call for the rights of the Jewish People in their ancestral homeland to be permitted to remain whole throughout the lands promised by numerous treaties and historic accords from well before the start of World War II and included in numerous treaties which were ratified by the allied powers at the end of World War I. These treaties and mandates were also accepted to be enforced by the United Nations under Article 80 of the United Nations Charter which recognized the guarantees of the Churchill White Paper, the San Remo Conference, the Peel Commission and the Mandates established to manage the breakup of the Ottoman Empire. The main provision of all these treaties, mandates, committees, and commissions set borders which gave the Palestinian Arabs the British Mandate Lands east of the Jordan River and guaranteed the Zionists the lands west of the Jordan River and by permitting the division of the lands and surrendering 78% of the Mandate lands they were guaranteed that these lands west of the Jordan River were to be inviolate never to be divided or molested in any way into the future. It was due to these guarantees and promises that the world refused to accept the annexation attempt by Jordan of Judea and Samaria after they occupied them as a result of the 1948-9 Arab War against the newly founded Israel (with the exception of Britain and Pakistan who did recognize Jordanian annexation).

The gathering at the Kotel was held under the title “prayer for the redemption of the people of Israel and their portion.” Rabbi Chaim Druckman, head of the Bnei Akiva yeshivas, Chief Rabbi of Kiryat Arba Rabbi Dov Lior and Chief Rabbi of Tzfat Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu led the prayers and were joined by the thousands of attendees who filled the entirety of the plaza and beyond at the Western Wall. The prayers beseeched G0d to “give strength, courage, truth and faith to our leaders. Give them fear and great awe of You, that they will fear greatly to harm our holy land.” Rabbi Ben-Dahan was quoted commenting, “We came here to strengthen the Prime Minister in guarding the land of Israel.” He further pointed to the fact that should the proposal’s plans match the rumors heard surrounding them, they will not be accepted by his Jewish Home Party. He concluded stating that, “Most residents of the country aren’t ready to divide Jerusalem, as is said to be proposed in the plan.” Polls taken in recent days have backed up Rabbi Ben-Dahan’s statements with significant majorities rejecting any proposals which divide Jerusalem or demand that Israel retreat to the 1949 Armistice Lines surrendering settlements and removing Jewish families from their homes and businesses.

There should also be a cautionary note that once Secretary Kerry makes his plans for a framework agreement known to the public, there will be a concerted all-out push made by leftist NGOs both foreign and domestic, both of which depend heavily on funding from outside Israel with much of the funding coming from the European Union, numerous European national governments and international foundations which back far leftist ideologies and are critical of Israel referring to her as an apartheid state with a horrific human rights record quoting the UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Commission) regular denunciations as all the proof they require. They will mobilize not only leftists from within Israel, where they make up less than one quarter of the population, but also will import possibly tens of thousands of protesters from Europe and around the world to march in solidarity with whatever demands Secretary Kerry’s framework places on Israel. These very same demonstrations will not make any demands that the Palestinians sign or even state they accept the framework but will demand that Israel make good on every demand made on her without any reciprocal concessions from the Palestinians. These demonstrations wherever they may be held, as it is possible that arranging to bring such numbers of demonstrators into Israel may prove logistically difficult, will receive great emphasis and lengthy coverage from the mainstream media, especially throughout Europe and the United States. Great pains will be taken to single out Israel as rejecting taking the necessary steps and make the needed sacrifices demanded by Secretary Kerry and his framework agreement. There will be little if any mention of whether or not the Palestinians have accepted the framework as they have already denounced any deal Secretary Kerry may bring. Mahmoud Abbas and the rest of the Palestinian Leadership have remained insistent that any agreement must include a return to the pre-1967 Armistice Lines as a border, the removal of every last Jews from the Palestinian lands, East Jerusalem as their capital city, complete surrender of all of the Old City of Jerusalem including the Temple Mount and the Western Wall, complete and total removal of all IDF forces within three months or immediately (depending on which Palestinian you are quoting), the release of every last terrorist imprisoned by Israel for terrorist charges including multiple murders by many of those imprisoned, total refusal to recognize Israel as the home for the Jewish people or as a Jewish State, refusal to agree to an end of their resistance claiming that they will continue to resist by all and any means until all of Palestine has been liberated from the (Jordan) River to the (Mediterranean) Sea and lastly, the resettlement of the five-million plus Palestinian refugees within Israel being given their original homes or equivalent replacement and compensation for their hardships and losses. There have been comments made by Palestinian spokespersons that they received a letter from Secretary of State Kerry guaranteeing that every last Palestinian demand will be realized and included in any framework or final agreement. Fortunately, nobody has produced such a letter presenting it to the press and thus remains a skeptical claim at best.

The idea that Secretary Kerry will present his framework and have it accepted by both sides is a ridiculous idea as no matter what is included it will contain nonnegotiable demands for both sides. What is truly frightening is that there are those within the Israeli government and some leaders of political parties who have taken the side that no matter what is included in Secretary of State Kerry’s framework, the Israeli government must accept it lock, stock and barrel without any complaints or modifications. This includes many in the media as well but the most frightening has been the appearance of cracks forming within the governing coalition with some entertaining the idea that Israel should accept the framework agreement as it will simply be a guiding set of conditions and not be an actual settled policy and any demands not to Israel’s liking could be debated and eventually rejected going forward. It is necessary to ask these people whether or not they have been paying even the slightest attention to the history of the negotiations from even before the Oslo Accords and most definitely since. Have they failed to note that every single plan which has been presented since the initial significant compromises which were made and included in the Oslo Accords that Israel’s position has been walked back a number of steps by each round of negotiations. Have they missed that wherever the current negotiations end off when the Palestinians finally just walk away refusing to talk further that at that point the next round of negotiations will use that as the starting point and add to it as many as a dozen more preconditions and concessions from Israel just in order to bring the Palestinians to the table again. Have they completely missed or are they simply ignoring the fact that the Palestinians have never made a single concession and have still yet to amend the PLO Charter removing the call for the complete annihilation of Israel which was one of the initial requirements of the Oslo Accords and the refusal of the Palestinians to do so actually nullifies the Oslo Accords. Israel should simply refuse to have any further negotiations or contact with the Palestinians until they, at a minimum, meet their requirements stemming from the Oslo Accords. Furthermore, if the Palestinians refuse to accept and meet those obligations within a reasonable time of six weeks, then Israel will simply consider the Oslo Accords null and void and take appropriate steps to return to the pre-Oslo conditions and no longer recognize the Palestinian Authority or other Palestinian presumptive governance. Israel must stand firm at some point or the negotiations will eventually reach the point where the debate will be which nation will accept the entirety of the Israeli population who will have become refugees without a country. That is something that must never be, period.

Troubling Clouds on the Israeli Horizon

Troubling Clouds on the Israeli Horizon

While there are some who will look upon the recent statements by a small but sufficient sized group from the party of Prime Minister Netanyahu, Likud, that they are prepared to resign from the coalition should Netanyahu make land concessions to the Palestinian Authority. Their position has also been adopted by the leadership of the Jewish Home Party and has been stated by Naftali Bennett numerous times as the peace negotiations continue under increasing pressure from United States Secretary of State Kerry and his team. Normally such threats would be sufficient to put an end to any chance of surrendering lands to the Palestinians except in the case where a final agreement had been reached and a formal treaty which also meets the requirements for Israeli security are addressed and included. Should a final agreement be reached which includes Israeli retention of the Jordan Valley; Israeli control of Jerusalem with emphasis on the Old City, Temple Mount, Kotel and other Jewish Holy Sites; requirements for the Palestinian state to be demilitarized with the IDF responsible for security; recognition of Israel as the Jewish State; and land swaps which permit Israeli retention of the majority of the mislabeled settlements. Of course it has been made extremely evident that these conditions are considered to be deal breakers by the Palestinians as their leadership, especially Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Chief Negotiators Saeb Erekat and Abed Rabbo, have made statements when each of these Israeli positions were first made public insisting that each is now a primary red line which the Palestinians cannot and will not permit thus adding the rejection of these central positions of the Palestinian Authority. None of their protestations are surprising as the real truth of the negotiations is that under the actual Oslo Accords the Palestinians were required to remove the statement calling for the eradication of Israel as the Jewish State from the Palestinian Charter and this initial and crucial demand which stands as one of the required steps for the implementation of the Oslo Accords and validation of intentions allowing for an open and balanced start to the peace process has never been implemented by the Palestinian leadership. There was the one time when there were Western witnesses at a Palestinian Parliament session who were present to assure that the Palestinian Charter would be amended as required where the Parliament voted to discuss the establishment of a committee to research a proper and acceptable rewording of that section of the Palestinian Charter at their next meeting. The next meeting and every one since have not been attended by Western representatives and no such vote has ever been taken nor any such committee established of course meaning the Charter has never been amended to remove the offensive calls for the eradication of Israel.

Obviously the peace process has continued despite the complete lack of good faith from the very beginning by the Palestinian representatives and leaders. The talks have had as much success as has the demand for an amended charter. The most evident change since the Oslo Accords has been the successful propaganda campaign maligning Israel and convincing much of the world that it has been Israel’s lack of efforts to cooperate and meet the Palestinians half way that has prevented a lasting peace providing security for both sides and ending the conflict. This view which has produced the recent calls from Europe to boycott Israel should the peace talks end without a peace agreement. The European threat simply assumes that should no peace be attained through these negotiations that it has to be an Israeli shortcoming and fault and the Palestinians are automatically not held responsible. With such a threat one might ask why there is no similar demand that the Palestinians also be required to reach an agreement with Israel. Obviously the European Union believes that the Palestinians are only capable of being in agreement with an evenhanded peace and that Israel, and only Israel, is capable of rejecting an agreement. This completely ignores the history of the Israeli/Arab state of war. The European Union is completely ignoring the Arab side which was worded very succinctly in Khartoum shortly after the Six Day War with the approval of the “Three No’s”; no peace with Israel, no negotiations with Israel, no recognition of Israel. The invention of an Arab peoples who were indigenous to the area including Israel and had been present in these lands for many thousands of years and predating any claim which the Israelis have made, despite the Arab insistence that there is no record or evidence that the Jewish people had ever resided in Jerusalem or the surrounding lands throughout all of history, was contrived in order to invalidate any Israeli or Jewish claims to the lands, predate and subsume Jewish history replacing the Jews including Abraham and Moses with Muslim versions of Abraham and Moses (and Jesus as they once again did this past Christmas) in an attempt to void any Jewish validity in claiming the area as their ancient homelands.

There was a second reason for the invention of a Palestinian Arab people and that was to use them as a replacement for the whole of the Arab world thus making Israel into the invincible armed presence against the weak and defenseless Palestinians rather than little Israel pitted against the entirety of the Arab and much of the Muslim world. This invention was further enhanced by claiming a history which if inspected bears a suspicious similarity to the history of the Jews with one major exception, the Jews were forced from the lands in the first two centuries of the Gregorian Calendar by the Romans and the Palestinians were supposedly dispossessed by the colonizing Jews who invaded their lands and forced them out in 1948. In order for the claims of the Palestinians to be accepted at face value one has to ignore almost four thousand years of history and many of the agreements, treaties, commission and declarations, especially numerous ones convened at the close of World War I. But there is an easier way to find the truth behind the entire argument being wages against Israel using deceit, lies, subterfuge and a reliance on anti-Semitism. Take the time and research recent history of the last century of Judea and Samaria, renamed the West Bank by Jordon in order to strip the lands of their obvious ties to the Jewish people. The lands were original ruled by the Ottoman Empire which left the area almost devoid of population. For a description of the lands in 1867 one simply needs to read Mark Twain accounting of his visiting Israel where he wrote his impressions in “Innocents Abroad” recounting his trip to Europe and the Holy Land. A short excerpt will give on a general idea of what he found as he wrote this description, “….. A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds… a silent mournful expanse…. a desolation…. we never saw a human being on the whole route…. hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.” Mark Twain described Jerusalem writing, “A fast walker could go outside the walls of Jerusalem and walk entirely around the city in an hour. I do not know how else to make one understand how small it is.” The modern state of Israel came into being in 1948 and was immediately set upon by as many as half a dozen Arab nations’ armies. The ensuing war continued in various stages of activity until peace was declared in 1949 and the Armistice Lines were drawn. At the insistence of the Arab leaders these Armistice Lines, today referred to as the Green Line, were never to be considered to signify borders as if this were to be permitted then Israel would have official borders and thus be a recognized nation state among the nations of the world. The Armistice Lines left with Egypt possessing Gaza, Syria possessing the Golan Heights and Jordan possessing Judea and Samaria. Egypt never annexed the Gaza Strip and refused to take them while accepting the return of the entirety of the Sinai Peninsula when Egypt and Israel reached a peace accord ending their state of war which began in 1948 and finally ended on March 26, 1979. The treaty was arranged by Egyptian President Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Begin and was signed in Washington DC. After the armistice in 1949, Jordan did annex Judea and Samaria and renamed them the West Bank in order to solidify their claims and in the hope of erasing the historic names which were considered to be Jewish. Israel and Jordan also reached a peace agreement on October 26, 1994. This treaty was arranged and signed by Jordanian King Hussein and Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. Jordan refused to take back Judea and Samaria ceding them to Israel only to renege on that claiming to have instead given the Jordanian claim to the area to the Palestinian people. The main problem with this presentation of the lands by Jordan is that Jordan illegally held the lands and while Jordan did claim they had annexed them, only two nations, Britain and Pakistan, ever recognized the Jordanian claim. Even the rest of the Arab League never recognized the Jordanian claim on Judea and Samaria. Since Jordan was an occupying power when they claimed rule over Judea and Samaria, the West Bank, to who did the lands actually belong? The answer refers back to the Churchill White Papers and the Peel Commission. These agreements along with the Balfour Declaration, the San Remo Conference and in the Treaty of Sevres are the major documents concerning the British Mandate and the applicable divisions and uses for these lands and are all recognized officially to this day as they were ratified subsequently with the formation of the United Nations under Article 80 of the United Nations Charter. The only problem is that nobody appears to care about their promises and treaties and prefer to abide by fanciful falsities which they find more convenient than actually enforcing international treaties and accords.
