The State Department is Playing Hide the Evidence

President Trump has been out to have the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas and UNWRA* and other related Palestinian groups stand responsible for their actions, especially when those actions stand in direct opposition to their words spoken in English, especially when spoken to the United States authorities. The paying of salaries to terrorists in Israeli prisons and pensions to the families of terrorists who have died in the commission of their attacks, all these payments have been based on the numbers of Israelis murdered, has become one of the items which President Trump has insisted, under pain of forgoing funding, must be terminated by Palestinian governance. When the Palestinian Authority transferred these payments to be paid by the PLO which the Palestinian Authority would provide the funds for their making these payments and then told the State Department that these payments were no longer made by the Palestinian Authority, the State Department informed the Congress and the White House that these payments had stopped. The State department knew of the new arrangement for paying these terrorist rewards and that it was simply transferred to be paid through the PLO with the Palestinian Authority providing the funds, a hide the payment through a subsidiary of the government subterfuge. The White House and the Congress both were already aware of the conniving and underhanded scheming Mahmoud Abbas and the half-truth the Palestinian Authority was attempting to pass by President Trump to allow the continued full funding of the Palestinian Authority.

Now we have a new State Department attempt to protect the Palestinian Authority and UNRWA from even more trouble as the GAO** completes their investigation of the Palestinian Authority school books now used by UNRWA. As the GAO readies to present their results of their study of the Palestinian Authority schoolbooks now used by UNRWA, they are required to allow the State Department to consider how the report will be rated. And what did the ever Palestinian Arab loving State Department rate this report? The State Department indicated the report will need to be classified and cannot be released publicly. The public and the rest of the world will not be permitted to know the contents of these textbooks reviewed by the GAO because the State Department finds that they might pose a threat to their beloved Palestinians. One can only wonder why the State Department feels that this information needs to be classified such that nobody from the public, the media or anybody lacking a security clearance, which can include members of Congress and the White House who have yet to be cleared for Classified information. Actually, one does not need to wonder as they can read UNRWA’s Anti-Peace Curriculum Violates UN Charter and learn that there still exist problems with the curricula replete with links to the pertinent information and sources. Further, Near East Policy Research Director David Bedein briefed Senator James Risch (R-Idaho), chairman of the United States Senate Near East Subcommittee of the United States Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 where he reported on the reality on the presumably new textbooks provided UNRWA by the Palestinian Authority. In addition to the article, there are plentiful links to the files which served to provide the background for David Bedein’s presentation to Senator James Risch (R-Idaho) and his legislative director, Chris Socha, and are listed at the bottom of this article. Let the State Department try and protect their precious little friends at the expense of Israel, but it does not have to be at the expense of the public or President Trump or anybody who desires to know the truth and not have the time, resources or valid reason for receiving a security clearance to be able to read the GAO report.

But all of this is just the tip of the iceberg that describes the lengths the State Department has gone to in order to aid not only the Palestinian Authority and the PLO and other terror entities surrounding Israel but in aiding the enemies of the United States over the years. During World War II it has been reported that the Government officials from the State Department to the FBI to President Franklin Roosevelt himself argued that refugees posed a serious threat to national security. Further in this same article it states, “As the historian Deborah Lipstadt points out in her book Beyond Belief, The New Republic portrayed the government’s attitude as ‘persecuting the refugee.’ The Nation didn’t believe that the State Department could ‘cite a single instance of forced espionage.’ But these voices were drowned out in the name of national security.” To read more about the actions by the State Department as reported in a Treasury Department investigation into the State Department actions intentionally applied to prevent news of the Holocaust from surfacing and preventing allowing Jews to escape that genocide by refusing entry and dragging out refugee investigations and perpetrating any delaying tactic available in preventing the Jews escaping to the United States in this article. Obviously, the State Department has not altered their policies regarding interests which have any favorable relationship with the Jewish People. This is perfectly inline with the State Department recommendation to President Truman not to recognize Israel when she declared her independence and coming into the world as a nation. But then, things have not changed even the slightest as the State Department continues to refuse to allow documents for Jews from Jerusalem to state that they are from within Israel as reported here. There are some things which will never change and the State Department distaste for Jewish People and the Jewish State is likely amongst them. Their actions have always been bent towards the Arabs as their fear of the oil weapon from the Arabs might strike again. Of course, that does not explain their preventing Jews from escaping the Holocaust and their attempts to prevent the entire truth of what was being done to the Jews of Europe by the Nazis and cannot be explained by oil. Maybe it is not as much the Arab oil as it is the Jewish People that the State Department has problems with and why they so consistently work for the enemies of the Jews. We will leave that for our readers to decide.

Trump Warning to Palestinian Authority Much ado About Nothing

The end of last week President Trump gave official warning to the Palestinian Authority (PA) that they had violated the terms under which they operate offices in Washington D.C. demanding that they enter talks with the Israelis in order to prevent their being shuttered. Some news termed these as the PLO offices which are simply further proof that there is no difference between the PLO and the PA thus they are either both patriotic peace seeking entities or terrorist entities to be shunned and shut down. This has been hailed by supporters of President Trump as an unprecedented move. Sorry folks, this has been part of the threat and promise operations since President William Jefferson Clinton had their office permitted, breaking numerous regulations and initiating something new and giving the State Department responsibility for seeing to it that the move resulted on a positive peace. Nobody ever actually defined positive but the State department saw positive as meaning giving the Arabs everything they desired and forcing Israel to commit suicide in the process. One need remember that it was the State Department which was so over the top opposed to permitting Israel to be recognized under President Truman. Fortunately, President Truman put more faith in what his strongly Christian mother taught him about the Bible including the Old Testament and especially Hashem’s promise to Avraham and repeated to Isaac and repeated again to Moses, that the lands between the Jordan River and the Great Sea were the Holy Land belonging to Hashem and for the Chosen People, the Jews being the remnant which remained, and that they would one day return and build a nation which would give man blessings and wonders. President Truman ignored the State Department and the Pentagon and virtually every advisor in his Administration and listened to his heart and the teaching of his childhood and recognized Israel despite the swarm of naysayers surrounding him screaming, “NO!” Mankind has not completely realized yet the great good President Truman committed on that day but anywhere on the globe willing to allow Israel to help has been thankful ever since. Israel has often reached a disaster area and set up before even the United States and is invariably the last nation to leave and they always leave the place better for their having been there.

But this threat to the PA is a meaningless gesture made to coerce, not intended to be carried out. This threat is in addition to the gifts Israel will be forced to turn over just so President Trump, Secretary of State Tillerson, if he is fortunate, the Middle East team members and Prime Minister Netanyahu and chief terrorist and President of the PA Mahmoud Abbas of the Munich Olympics terror attack fame, can all stand on the White House lawns on a sunny day with just the right number and size of puffy white nonthreatening clouds and have a thousand pictures per minute snapped by an overly eager media to eat up the momentous occasion of yet another handshake which will have the President centered watching and nodding approvingly. President Obama weaseled a handshake for the historic photo to put somewhere in his Presidential Library. President George W. Bush did not get his handshake mostly because he did not try and left well enough alone until Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice whispered in his ear the sweet nothings about the Palestinians deserving an opportunity to prove their great and wondrous ability to form an excellent and industrious state capable of great things. That was the start of the Gaza debacle which is responsible for the rocket attacks and terror tunnels in the Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other various undesirables’ war of attrition against Israel. Hamas took Gaza from the PA in a fairly quick and violent coup where the PA turned tail and fled. The one honest item which came from this disaster was the facts were made obvious that the Palestinian Arabs do not desire their own lands as much as they desire the destruction of everything Jewish. Hamas is honest enough in their charter to claim their goal is the destruction of the Zionist entity, Israel, and then the death of every Jew on the planet and world conquest. In all honesty, it is part of the Islamic religion as it is currently taught and interpreted by their leading Imams, that they are entitled to rule the world and must take it through violence and any means necessary as Allah has promised them victory in all things.

Moving back to the present, President Trump has one of his trusted and top team manned by such people of importance as his son-in-law and chief Middle East adviser Jared Kushner; Jason Dov Greenblatt who is the executive vice president and chief legal officer to Donald Trump and The Trump Organization as well as a top advisor on Israel; the United States Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, who is a renowned Zionist and friend of Israel, which is something almost an oddity with all things considered; and lastly some State Department officers and personnel which includes Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategy Dina Powell. It is truly an all-star team and is in pursuit of what President Trump calls “The Ultimate Deal.” The team has spent the last ten months educating themselves on the world’s most intractable dispute and its various complexities. Jason D. Greenblatt was quoted speaking for the entire team presenting the facts as, “We have spent a lot of time listening to and engaging with the Israelis, Palestinians and key regional leaders over the past few months to help reach an enduring peace deal. We are not going to put an artificial timeline on the development or presentation of any specific ideas and will also never impose a deal. Our goal is to facilitate, not dictate, a lasting peace agreement to improve the lives of Israelis and Palestinians and security across the region.” We have a really short and single piece of information which we bet the dream team might have overlooked when discussing what Mahmoud Abbas, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, the Arab League and just about every other entity which pretends to care about the Palestinian Arabs insist as part of any final solution, the complete, total and permanent eradication of the country known as Israel. Anything short of this makes the deal null and void and of little interest other than keeping the United States, United Nations, Europeans and any other fools in the world sending their millions of dollars and euros.

President Trump probably honestly believes that there is a deal he can reach which protects and preserves the country of Israel, makes some arrangement for the Arabs to govern themselves without posing any further threat to Israel and the other Arab interests will be ready to cooperate on finding some solutions to problems such as Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran and anything else that pops up or they forgot such as Libya. Fortunately for President Trump, there will be no miracle peace plan which Mahmoud Abbas will accept no matter how much the Saudi Royal Family threatens him. That is the secret which has preserved Israel even when the most gullible of political parties were elected and were willing to give away the farm, or almost if not all of Judea and Samaria in the name of peace and cooperation. Even the most presumably enticing offers have been turned down by Yasser Arafat and, after his death, then Mahmoud Abbas. There will be no peace deal now, next month, next year or ever as long as any deal allows Israel to remain. Oh, remain what, you ask? Simply remain as in exist; occupy any area on a map. The Ayatollahs of Iran made the only acceptable solution when they permitted then President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to state, “Israel, a small country of less than eight million people, looks out at a world where leaders of much larger nations threaten to wipe it off of the map.” There has been contention that the actual translation should have been that Israel would collapse. According to the Washington Post, “in the 1980’s Khomeini gave a speech in which he said in Persian ‘Een rezhim-i eshghalgar-i Quds bayad az sahneh-i ruzgar mahv shaved.’ This means, ‘This occupation regime over Jerusalem must vanish from the arena of time.’ But then anonymous wire service translators rendered Khomeini as saying that Israel ‘must be wiped off the face of the map,’ which Cole and Nourouzi say is inaccurate.”

All of the efforts will prove to be in vain. This is a case where the best plan is absolutely leave it all alone. Look at the world and ask yourself a simply question, is the Arab-Israeli conflict honestly the biggest problem facing humankind? Is this problem worse than Syria, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, China, Russian collusion or, wait, it might be a bigger problem than Russian collusion except that problem suffers from the same problem as the Arab-Israeli problem, the media have blown both way out of proportion. If the media and the rest of the world would ignore the Arab-Israeli problem for say six weeks, is that possible? Well, if it were ignored for six weeks, it is probable that it would be forgotten and would eventually solve on its own or simply melt like ice cream on a summer afternoon. Some day soon, we will discuss what makes the Arab-Israeli problem into a vital and central issue that the world cannot ignore or else. They never explain or else what because there is no actual or else. But that too is a secret.

In Israel America is Still That Gleaming Land of Greatness

The statements in this article are formed from the Israelis I have met and is hopefully something which continues to hold truthful as my experiences broaden. The vast majority of Israelis, particularly young Israelis, have an idealized view of the United States. They believe that in the United States opportunities exist like nowhere else on Earth. They see the United States as being capable of achieving just about anything they decide to put the efforts towards. This is not to say that they approve of everything the United States does or does not do that concerns the Israelis. Despite their love affair with the United States, that love affair sours rather rapidly when one takes stock in how Israeli feel about the United States governance. There many Israelis have more difficulty understanding as they see the United States as capable of doing unbelievable good if only the government would allow the people to take care of things themselves. You see, where one’s initial observation would be that the average Israeli has a view of the United States which is unrealistic, as you delve deeper you realize that they are not seeing the United States as perfect or they believe that things in the United States are perfect. What one sees is that the average Israeli loves Americans and their forms of governance and have just as jaundiced a view of the government as the most conservative Tea Party individual. Rumor says that this belief does not extend to much of one large city where their views match closer to Boston, New York, Los Angeles or most other large cities in the United States. Thus far I have avoided visiting this one city as I like the idealized view of the United States, well, more so the views of the average American citizen.

This view of America, as that is the real love, is that ideal America that went to the moon in less than a decade after deciding they were to meet that challenge. They love the concepts of full equality of opportunity and the spirit which made America great and is still there as a creative spark which is inside every human being but stifled more everywhere else outside America. The America most Israelis have experienced has been through the eyes of those who have visited the United States and seen the great potential which exists in the United States and these people have not stayed in the United States sufficiently long enough for the bad shortcomings to become just as easily witnessed thus bringing even the most devoted Israeli to see that there are places where the United States falls well short of the mark. Ask the average Israeli what they think of the United States and you get the feeling they believe that America can do no wrong. Dig a little deeper and you see a people whose idealized view is of the average American and their can do attitude becomes more of a could have been attitude which is more in line with reality.

One looks a little deeper and one begins to understand where the average Israeli gets their views on the United States and things begin to make sense. The average Israeli forms their views of the United States on the relatively small number of Americans they meet. Here in Israel most of the people get a small sample size and have only met Americans who have afforded not only trips to Israel but many have also an apartment that they own and plan on retiring and living in said apartment, so obviously the Americans they have met are the more wealthy and additionally their sampling consists solely of American Jews who are also Zionist and tend to be more conservative. Many of these Americans have completed college and are by and large physicians with many also being surgeons. So, their sample size is rather small and more indicative of the wealthier Americans and often include other than those in the medical fields, Americans who have some form of engineering or other scientific degrees and again often post graduate work with many having gotten their doctoral degree. So, again their sampling is skewed to successful Zionists which mean that they have again met mostly conservative people who have often also formed their own companies and many also hold a MBA degree to go along with their doctoral degree. To point out these are highly motivated people who would have succeeded in almost every nation in the Western world would be an understatement. If one speaks with the Americans who reside now in Israel after holding a successful career in the United States, many also fulfilled their required service in Israel as well. The sample size keeps being refined down to a very motivated and brilliant people who are driven and who meet very high criteria in education and accomplishments to their credit. These people tend to be conservative but still often voted as a good social liberal though they often had a very simple and basic filter which was dependent on one issue. Would their preferred candidate support Israel with almost a blind zeal bordering on fanaticism.

If one would make a list answering the question, ‘What is right about America?’ you would probably get a definition of the attitude of many of the Americans one meets in Israel. Giving even more validity to the assessment of the average American Jew who at some point after quite an impressive career decided to live in Israel and sufficient numbers of these people also gave half of their career time to working in Israel, there is an overwhelming number of the American Jews residing or regularly visiting Israel that have a less than admirable view of the current holder of the White House. As many of these people have what is called dual citizenship and are eligible to vote in the State they last resided in and do cast absentee ballots, their choices are easily researched and the story is quite telling; where in the United States President Obama won over seventy percent of the Jewish vote in both of his election victories, the Israeli Americans voted in the opposite direction with the 2008 votes exceeded three-quarters voting against President Obama and in 2012 an even higher percentage voted against his return to the White House. The consensus amongst the Americans here was obviously that President Obama was bad for Israel and the overt actions during the last Gaza war on Hamas and Islamic Jihad. They viewed President Obama directly for the closing off of Ben Gurion International Airport due to the terror threat which could have resulted in downed aircraft, something the United States had not done in Syria during the five year war continuing to rage nor have done in Lebanon, Libya or any of the nations struck by violence as a result of the Arab Spring turned into an Arab Winter despite some of the most vicious threats to flights in or out of their countries. In some of these cases the airlines themselves refused to provide service to these nations. Then there was the channeling the resupply of arms which the United States was obliged to automatically approve with the military itself charged with authorizing and supplying replacements keeping Israel provided with the means for her defense through the State Department with their withholding approval until Israel had presumably buckled to the demand to cease their hostilities in Gaza and returned control of Gaza to its ‘duly elected government’ which is the same as saying Hamas as it is their people who rule in Gaza. The White House was fully aware of this situation and the obligation of the United States which they modified so as to make their obligation into a wanted dead or dead poster on Israel, and that is not a Freudian slip, dead or dead was exactly what the White House was aiming to produce by withholding the resupply which was an agreement included in a defense treaty making it the law to make such resupply in a timely manner.

Stronger Together Enforcing Similar Ethos

Israel and America Stronger Together Enforcing Similar Ethos

This treaty was entered into for the Nixon Administration doing exactly the same withholding of the resupply to force Israel to comply with their demands that they simply cease fighting in defense against the invading forces of Syria and Egypt during the Yom Kippur War which caught Israel at her most vulnerable time with three-quarters of her military personnel in synagogues across Israel and not carrying any electronics and thus forcing the IDF to send personnel to as many Synagogues as possible and to send vehicles announcing the emergency call-up using loudspeakers and driving through one city after another. This withholding of resupply was advised by then Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, a Jew but apparently only by birth. The reasoning Secretary Kissinger gave for refusing to meet the Israeli request for resupply was that by refusing to send the arms Israel would be more vulnerable and thus far more easily forced to meet the demands which the State Department was pushing for President Nixon to demand of the Israelis. Fortunately the resupply was held a dangerous two to three days and Israel had begun to run low on some vital armaments which would have threatened their ability to defend their country had resupply not reached them in time. This was the reason a treaty was signed by the Nixon Administration after the Senate overwhelmingly approved the agreement. If one has seen a potential viewpoint against all things Israel coming from the State Department, please allow us to also point out that the State Department very strenuously objected to the decision by President Truman to recognize Israel as a new nation in May of 1948, May 15th to be exact. The State Department has been more stridently anti-Israel and anti-Zionist from their objection to the aims of forming the British Mandate in order to form a homeland for the Jews after World War I as part of the San Remo Conference which set up the French and British Mandates.

Fortunately most young Israelis know very little about the dastardly designs of the State Department which by their actions have proven to desire the death of the Jewish State by any and all means available. Fortunate for Israel that this is beyond the ability for the State Department to pull-off but they will apparently continue to try. The love affair which Israelis appear to have with the United States is actually more with America and the American People and independent of the government of the United States. What makes this all the more rewarding a relationship is the fact that large majorities of Americans love the Israelis as well, as has been proven in poll after poll. This is likely due to a love of freedom and a shared morality in many ways. The Israeli government often appears to take their cues from the Constitution of the United States or at least the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments required by a number of the signatory states as a condition for their signing onto the Constitution. That is most likely the glue holding these two peoples in mutual support and admiration and it would be wonderful if their relationship continues and those values prove to be the perfect glue which both societies use as their moral guide throughout their histories. It would be quite sad should they not remain as the constant rock mooring both ships of state.
