President Trump and Middle East Peace

Seemingly forever, we have listened to what we are going to call Middle East poker. They have been playing five-card stud where you are dealt one card face-down and two face-up then bet, another face-up then bet and a final card face-up followed by final bets. This has been one of the slowest games of poker having started with the initial deal at the onset of the Oslo Accords. Apparently, according to Mahmoud Abbas, he has made his final bet and may be retiring from the table. For the sake of brevity, allow us to quickly review the dealt cards before discussing the final deal which apparently came recently. There are five hands at the table, the Palestinian Authority (PA), Hamas, United Nations (UN), European Union (EU) and Israel with the United States dealing the cards. We know very little about the down-card, as it is face-down, but the three face-up cards are as follows; the PA has two 2’s and a J; Hamas has an A, 7 and 5; the UN has three clubs with a 2, 5 and 10; the EU has three hearts with a 4, 9 and an A; and Israel has two K’s and a 10. As is obvious, it appears that it is anybody’s game to win all depending upon that last card. What we know but the others do not is that Israel has a K as their down-card giving them two pair and thus they can only possibly lose to the PA, UN or EU with Hamas holding the weak hand where a pair of A’s is their best possible hand. So, just as in reality, it comes down to the last card to be dealt except for Hamas who will likely fold taking their remainder of their chips, Gaza, and heading off to play their terror war a while longer.

Now would be a good time to also define some of the other realities surrounding this game. The EU and UN are playing such that should it appear that the Palestinians and the Arabs are not going to defeat Israel on their own, and they get the right last card, they will extend the game demanding a new hand. They can only extend the game to a new deal, they cannot actually dictate a solution as only the United States actually has that power along with Russia, but both the United States and Russia would need to agree for that to work and that is highly unlikely with a few choice exceptions which depend on the last card being dealt. The Oslo Accords were supposed to last only five years and bring a settlement or the effort was to be abandoned. That changed when the United States under President Clinton made a deal with Ehud Barak to extend the Oslo Accords framework indefinitely, or at least until all the cards have been dealt. Technically, if Israel were to demand that it is game over, the game would end right there, the final cards dealt and everybody would show their hands. Not even the United States could get away with that without Russian agreement. The game has been drawn out by the EU and the UN raising the pot by one chip when it was their bet so as to slow everything down at the request of the PA and Hamas. This is why without any real gains or change in the board there has been an unbelievable time between any significant changes as the only strong bets would come when a new card has been dealt, which appears to be once every three to four years which also tends to correspond with new talks.

What changed, you ask. President Trump entered as the new dealer when he was elected. He first took a walk around the casino and talked with the others assembled in the Muddle East Casino and gathered them all together in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a big dinner where they spoke frankly. The Donald, as he likes to be known, asked each at the table, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the others from the various Gulf States and across Northern Africa and around the Middle East what was the biggest problem for them, the Palestinian statehood or the Iranian threat. Well, Egypt and Saudi Arabia pretty much spoke for the majority and stated that Iran was the big deal and the Palestinians had long outlived any usefulness and were now a sideshow which they enjoyed as it sometimes made Israel squirm, but even that had lost its appeal as Israel could be of more assistance having the same worries about Iran. So the Arab leaders threw in the towel and said let the last card be played and we will live with the results. That was when The Donald informed them that it was up to them to inform Mahmoud Abbas that the last card was being dealt and that he would need to show his hand. At the same time The Donald with assistance from his staff informed the EU and UN that the final card was being played and that the smallest bet permitted would be either all-in or fold, one bet and that was it. Then, The Donald settled into the dealer’s chair and has dealt the final cards to the players.

The PA got their second J giving them a pair of 2’s and a pair of J’s. The UN got a diamond to go with their three clubs and folded while the EU also got a diamond to go with their three hearts and also folded. Hamas folded before receiving a final card realizing they should simply forget unity with the PA and keep what they had already won on a side bet with the PA, that being Gaza. Israel got a second 10 giving them two pair of K’s over 10’s. So that leaves the PA and Israel to bet with the PA to lead the betting. This was where Mahmoud Abbas started to sweat before stomping around the table screaming and throwing the EU’s and UN’s now empty chairs as they have retreated to the bar to watch. Israel’s Bibi Netanyahu sat quietly not even glancing one last time at his hold-card confident he remembers what it was. Some of what Mahmoud Abbas screamed is worth repeating as it has an aroma of total defeat and his knowing that, but it could be a rouse to draw Bibi in, there is that down-card and the PA might just have a full-house filling in their two pair. But first, some of the rant needs be told.

Among his openers was his reference to the White House peace ‘deal of the century’ as the “slap of the century,” promising to slap the United States back. This came about the same time as this outburst, “I am saying that Oslo, there is no Oslo.” He added for insult, “Israel ended Oslo.” He screamed about, “Jerusalem is Mecca. Jerusalem is Mecca,” comparing Jerusalem to Islam’s holiest site elevating Jerusalem from third holiest behind Mecca and Medina, definitely a sign of apparent desperation in an attempt to make the result of the deal void by such a declaration. Many will dismiss this as pure rhetoric and unimportant except that it does depict a reality about the importance of Jerusalem in Islam, a completely false exclamation as anybody serious about the truth knows. Abbas slammed two outspoken US officials, Ambassador to Israel David Friedman and Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, referring to them as, “These two personalities are an insult for a self-respecting administration.” The Donald raised one eyebrow giving Abbas a sideways glaring glance.

Point Made and Point Rejected

Point Made and Point Rejected

These were but a few of the outbursts scattered between the other temper tantrums and then he kind of trailed off mumbling where only some of what he muttered was discernible. One such phrase was, “We are an authority without any power and under an occupation without any cost. We will not accept it remaining like this.” That was soon followed by the middle of a sentence being just slightly louder so we hear, “popular and peaceful resistance,” pause “resistance,” which he called “stronger and more effective than any other,” some heavy huffing and puffing and then he said, “is our path to force out the occupation from our land.” Then referring to Ramallah’s policy of paying salaries to Palestinian security prisoners, he let out loudly that he, “completely rejects,” any attempt to change the policy as it is rightful to pay these holy fighters, by which he refers to what most of the world recognize as terrorists. Of the United States’ offer to the Palestinians of the Jerusalem suburb of Abu Dis as the capital of a future Palestinian state he fumed and cursed and stated the most significant but likely overlooked declaration pointing directly at The Donald yelling, “May God demolish your house.”

What became obvious during the ranting by Mahmoud Abbas was that when he was ordered to meet with the Saudi Royal Family in Riyadh, the message sent from Saudi Arabia about the “deal of the century” being drawn up by the Trump administration and that he need accept the deal or resign as they would no longer support the Palestinians. President Trump had likely reached a deal which the Saudis agreed to back completely and that they would convey that message to Abbas. He may actually have heeded that and this may be the end of his tenure as he also told the assembled that this may be the final time they see him speaking as their leader. Some have commented this sounded like a summation and a resignation speech. This was also a declaration of war as we pointed out yesterday with his insistence on continued peaceful resistance, code words for terrorist attacks.

Perhaps now for the explanation of the meaning of the Arab curse delivered by Abbas on President Donald Trump of, “May God demolish your house.” Perhaps it would be easiest to simply quote Dr. Mordechai Kedar from his article “The speech in which Abbas Dug His Own Grave.” Here is what he told us about this curse.

This imprecation does not merely relate to someone’s present home, but to all the members of his family being thrown into the street to lead lives of destitution, humiliation and shame.

His entire article is really well worth reading as it spends time covering some of the history and other events which we did not cover here having done so over the years. Now back to the card game.

We already know that even should the PA have their full-house, their best hand would be three J’s over a pair of 2’s and Israel has a full-house of three K’s over a pair of 10’s thus Israel holds the winning hand and Bibi likely knows this. This means that the PA’s bet only matters if they fold and try to salvage some position and a way to deal with President Trump who is determined to end this charade. He stated in his campaign that he would recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the embassy, which has now been done and is in motion and he also stated he intended to make the deal of the century in the Middle East and bring the Arab Israeli conflict to a close, and it looks like he meant every word of that as well. He stated he would give it his best deal-making ability and if that did not work then there was likely no solution. By that, he obviously meant that he would have the United States wash their hands of the whole thing and leave it to the PA and Israel to hash out alone. He has ended the idea of Jerusalem being up for grabs, granted Israel, and he terminated UNRWA’s funding which will likely not be picked up by Saudi Arabia, as we would bet that was also discussed and if they desire assistance with Iran, then they will toe the line they had drawn for them. The EU and UN cannot afford to take up the slack as the EU is almost broke and the UN would be risking all United States funding if they did so as President Trump has intimated. So, UNWRA is all but finished as President Trump may even instruct the UN to close it down or face a complete lack of funding from the United States which would be the death knell for the UN and they know this. Apparently, the people holding all the cards are Israel in the Middle East and The Donald worldwide.

In the end, he started to trail off a bit murmuring, “We do not take instructions from anyone, and say ‘no’ to anyone if it is about our destiny, our cause, our country and our people… 1,000 times no,” In one true statement there he unknowingly summed up the entirety of the Palestinian position since the beginning when he had stated, “No, a thousand times no!” We hope he either eventually sits and makes his bet or folds and walks away, either way; Israel will win. Apparently, this game is over, deals made and the only thing left is for the shouting, and Abbas is definitely doing much of that.

Advice for Netanyahu When Visiting Trump

Most of what Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu needs to remember is that there should be a whole list of words which he should never speak and immediately interrupt and correct President Trump about should he bring up these subjects. The first is “Two State Solution.” Those words should never even enter your mind Prime Minister Netanyahu. Even should such phrase even begin to light up in your mind, extinguish that fire before it burns you and every true Zionist. Should President Trump mention that unthinkable concept simply reply quickly asking for clarification and make sure he is speaking of Jordan and Israel with Jordan as the Arab section and nation made from the British Mandate and Israel in the lands west of the Jordan River reserved for the Jewish homelands. That is far from the only phrase which must not be uttered but must be interrupted if stated. The phrase “Land for Peace” must not pass through your lips, Prime Minister and should such an accusational statement emanate from President Trump ask him immediately how much of the southwest of the United States would he be willing to grant to Mexico in return for their promising to end illegal immigration as long as you provide all services to these states such as electricity, water, sewage treatment, gas and other upkeep as required including expanding these utilities. Then explain how Israel gave up Gaza as a test case and explain how well this worked out for the neighborhoods bordering Gaza. Tell him about the ever increasing range of rockets that Israel has needed to prepare to protect itself from and how there are not sufficient Iron Dome systems and interceptors to cover the entire nation as is currently within the range of the largest Hamas rockets. Tell President Trump how Iran sometimes provides whatever aid, money, rocket engines, guidance systems, guns, mortars and tunnel technologies to Hamas and provides much of this all the time to Islamic Jihad both of which share the terrorist functions out of Gaza and have spread into the Sinai Peninsula and have become a threat for Egyptian President al-Sisi as well as attacking Israel and working with Islamic State in the Sinai. These are problems which President Trump will understand and will depict the realities that Israel faces and how they are near to identical to those faced by the United States, just far more local for Israel as the United States is the fine wine in the bottle while Israel is the cork in that bottle safeguarding the fine wine from the spoilage trying to contaminate the wine.

President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu

President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu

At such a point, Mr. Prime Minister, continue to explain how Israel is an intelligence bonanza for the United States and how Israel is the test laboratory for security and vetting systems and techniques. Tell President Trump about some of the advancements made in security vetting which can be performed by software and some simple cameras and sensors taking a mere matter of minutes to screen people almost always with under a dozen questions. Bring some information on the Shabtai Shoval’s SDS (Suspect Detection Systems) Cogito System and check out review for your basic information please read our review in this article. Explain how El Al uses layered informal interviewing to check and assure that terrorists do not get onto their flights and how the Shin Bet and Mossad interview and deal with terrorists and gain information in order to prevent as many terrorist attacks as possible and tell him that you understand the why’s and wherefores’ about not revealing information about terrorists intercepted and other means for preventing terrorist attacks as all such information is of such an extremely sensitive nature. Explain how the United States and Israel are facing similar threats and that you understand the difficulty of having to deal with political opposition who second guess your every move and how they will sometimes, all too often, undercut efforts intended to protect the people simply to gain political points. Press on how Israel will offer any and all cooperation in the fight against Islamic Radical Terrorism and related threats.

One area you should feel free to talk about to your heart’s content is the Jewish and Israelite history from Jericho to the present and how Jews have remained in this land for the past three thousand years. Feel free to tell him how the PLO was a KGB cooperative effort with the Arab League and how the idea of the Palestinian People was invented in 1964 in Moscow between Yasser Arafat and the KGB with Mahmoud Abbas right there at Arafat’s side as his second in command from day one. Feel free to tell President Trump how Abbas is simply Arafat in a suit and how the PLO has broken every last agreement they have ever signed including the changing of their Charter to remove the insistence that they destroy Israel through violent jihad. Explain that there has been a constant effort to kill the Jews since the very beginning of the coming of Zionism and explain how the first Jews came to these lands and built the water systems for irrigation and shared these improvements with the few Arab farmers. Explain how new Arabs then came and while the Jews were building the water system digging the ditches the women had to sit atop the trucks with rifles to shoot back at Arab snipers shooting the men as they worked. Explain how Syria used to have their snipers practice by shooting farmers in their fields from atop the Golan Heights before 1967. Remind President Trump of how the Arabs would riot using the exact same claim that the Jews were out to destroy the al-Aqsa Mosque back in the 1920’s before there was even an Israel. Inform him about the Khartoum Conference and the Three No’s; no peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel. Explain that Mahmoud Abbas speaking in Arabic calls for the genocide of the Jews in Israel and promises that the Arabs will destroy Israel in stages. Explain that Abbas regularly states that any peace made with Israel is simply another step towards Israel being destroyed. Tell that Abbas refuses to agree that any peace even if it gives him everything they claim to want will not bring an end to the peaceful resistance which is their euphemism for terror attacks and murdering Israelis.

Review the battles of the Maccabees, of Deborah, Bar Kokhba, David, Abraham and all the other Israelite battles which mostly happened in the Judean hills and Samaria. Explain how Judea and Samaria are the heartland of Israel and Jerusalem the beating heart of Israel and Judaism and how the death of Israel will all but guarantee the death of Judaism as a viable and recognized religion as the numbers of Jews will wilt away. Explain the destruction of Israel would be a second and final holocaust that the Jews cannot endure. Tell him with all the warmth and emotion of our love for our lands and remind him that the only place that Christians have been permitted complete freedom to practice their religion and even build churches or repair their existing churches. Explain how many Christian leaders are afraid to speak out about Islam because they worry what will happen to their threatened fellow Christians across the Middle East, North Africa (MENA) and the rest of the Muslim world. Bring up that the largest and most violent anti-Christianity comes from the lands of MENA and how 2016 was the worst year for Christian persecution and how Israel has been a safe haven for these Christians and the Baha’I who have some of their largest congregations within Israel. Explain how Muslims too have freedom of religion and free practice within Israel and how nearly a million Jews were expelled from the Arab nations of MENA and how Israel welcomed the vast majority of them as the rest of the world turned their backs and that Israel immediately incorporated these refugees into the society despite the difficulties this posed. Explain how the Arab world had victimized so many of their brothers and sisters forcing them into refugee camps with the hope they would someday be permitted to overwhelm Israel with millions of indoctrinated and radicalized Arabs from these camps. Explain how there are two large Palestinian Arab refugee camps, one outside Gaza City and the other outside Nablus, where they are located within Palestinian governed areas and ask how can Palestinians be refugees when within the Palestinian Authority or Gaza?

Bring up the Palestinian movements in Jordan and how they wish to take in the Palestinian Arabs from Judea and Samaria but they too are persecuted and refused basic rights by the Hashemite King of Jordan placed over them by the British. Explain how the United States could assist freeing all of the Jordanian Palestinian Arabs from the British Mandate era and empower them to assist their brothers and sisters as all that is required would be for the Jordanian King to permit self-rule for his people and how President Trump could assist in arranging for the position of King of Jordan to be made ceremonial with a comfortable salary as he seldom visits his nation preferring to spend his time abroad mostly in Europe and other places where he feels safer. Explain that Mahmoud Abbas and his cronies have stolen billions upon billions of aid dollars and that were the Palestinian Arabs permitted a vote he and his cronies would be sent packing and that their removal would be the first best step to a solution. Explain how now an Arab selling their property to anybody not approved by Abbas and his cronies will be charged of a capital crime and very likely tried by street justice which always finds them guilty and will execute justice with their hanging from a crane. Explain that the Arabs residing under the Palestinian Authority have little real freedoms and if they desire to leave and reside elsewhere that they often must leave everything behind and escape as if they were escaping a prison. Tell President Trump how Abbas is serving the eleventh year of a four year term in office which he started back in 2005 and how he refuses to allow elections all while blaming Israel for Palestinians not being permitted to vote.

Abbas Statement Excerpts and Their Intended Result

Abbas Statement Excerpts and Their Intended Result

It is not that President Donald Trump is unaware of these truths or the millions of other truths, he does understand. He does not require reminding that he promised to move the United States embassy to Jerusalem but it never hurts to thank him for soon making the commitment into action and choosing a site. Invite him to Jerusalem so the two of you can scout out some choice locations and you can show him some of the great Jewish historic sites in all of Jerusalem including some of the historic refurbished synagogues in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City. Explain that Israel would gladly allow the Arabs to remain within Israel as legal resident aliens and would work with Jordan to arrange for their gaining rights to vote for Jordanian legislature once their nation becomes truly free. Give President Trump all the information possible about the Jordan Opposition Coalition (JOC) (الائتلاف الاردني للمعارضة) and bring a copy of Ted Belman’s article titled “The Ultimate Alternate Israel-Palestine Solution” as an introduction to an all Palestinian Arab solution to the problems over Judea and Samaria and a real return to the original two state solution where 78% of the British Mandate Lands were granted to the Arabs and the remaining 22% of the lands which lie west of the Jordan River were set aside for the Jewish homeland. Jordan had occupied illegally parts of Judea and Samaria as well as half of Jerusalem and by every treaty and document before 1967 stated that these lands which Jordan had stolen were illegally held. In 1967 Israel did not conquer Judea and Samaria, we liberated these lands and we intend to keep them as our natural rights under International Law. Just do not mention anything which would not comfortably have ever been uttered by the likes of Ze’ev Jabotinsky, please.

One More Time Into the Breach

One of the previous times we went through this scenario we titled our article “Once More Down the Rabbit Hole”, thus the slightly different title though there may be some similarities and potentially even identical phrasing. We are looking at another attempt to force some form of meeting between high level Israeli officials and Palestinian Authority (PA) high level officials. The initial intent is to have President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Netanyahu meet under the auspices of the Russians in Moscow possibly with Russian President Putin moderating. With only initial commentary and reporting the media is likely to report that everything looks promising that President Putin using the weight and international presence of the Russian Federation to possibly lead to their making headway which President Obama and the United States Presidents preceding him inability to make any measurable gains towards the mythical “two states for two peoples living in peace and security” supposed oasis in a dessert of missed opportunities. But the same old problems are already peeking from between the lines and even the letters of initial reports. Of course these reports are all puppy dogs and cuddly kittens snuggling together promising that there will this time be some headway made in finding solutions for the Arab-Israeli peace process. Please do not be sucked in by these Pollyannish reports reporting lollipops and ice cream for all. We are willing with minimal actual reports or additional information other than one small mention in a single quote to predict there will either be no meeting or Mahmoud Abbas will depart any meetings within the first eighteen hours blaming Israel for refusing to make the necessary sacrifices for peace.

What wording in what quote by whom, you ask. The person was President Mahmoud Abbas but we may need to provide you with some other statements and quotes before we go to President Abbas. Netanyahu’s office said in a statement, “The prime minister presented Israel’s position that he is always ready to meet with president Abbas directly and without preconditions. He is therefore reviewing the Russian president’s proposal and the timing of a possible meeting.” This does not sound all that horrific as it sets only one single condition, that there be no conditions, just a meeting as equals and proceeding from that point as equals. Somehow, in the coming weeks this statement will be transformed by those on the extreme left and right as well as some mainstream progressives into some nefarious evil set of denials of perfectly obvious dodges by the Israelis of their obvious obligations to make obvious and logical measures in order to reach a lasting peace. Further it was posted that, Netanyahu has said he is open to such a meeting together with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Further added in reports was this from PA officials who stated, “Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas has agreed on a Russian proposal for him to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as part of a new peace push.” Abed al-Hafeez Nofal, the PA Ambassador to Moscow stated, “We told the Russian side today that president Abbas accepted the Russian initiative about the meeting of Abbas and Netanyahu with President Putin in Moscow,” So far, so good, but wait, there’s more.

Netanyahu, Putin, Abbas

Netanyahu, Putin, Abbas

Netanyahu had the audacity to claim that he is actually open to such a meeting with PA President Mahmoud Abbas with the meeting being together with Russian President Vladimir Putin who can assure that both sides are true to the expectations and necessary steps to make a lasting and enforceable and appreciative peace setting and secure borders which would promise peace for the foreseeable future. How absolutely sneaky of Netanyahu to agree to meet stating his desire for the meet to be without preconditions and to seek an equitable peace respecting the rights of both peoples setting secure and enforceable borders for a lasting peace. Have you caught the series of demands couched in Netanyahu’s statement? Let us list them for you, not necessarily in order, secure borders which is code for a viable Jewish State, enforceable borders which implies safety from terrorist attacks, lasting peace which implied an end to violence, appreciative which implies mutual acceptance and both sides taking steps which demands cooperation and compromise from the PA and not solely Israel surrendering everything just to meet for a few seconds so the media can take pictures. Such demands, surely Netanyahu realizes that the PA and especially Abbas can never accept such equanimity.

And right on cue, President Abbas ordered the usual comeback with the singular accusation against Israel, one Israel has absolutely no defense against, as Abed al-Hafeez Nofal stated, “But it is clear for us that the Israelis are evading the requirements of the meeting.” Keeping in step with the usual modus operandi, Abbas and company insisted that the meeting be scheduled for Friday of this week, September 9, 2016 while insisting Israel meet the required but unspecified known requirements to facilitate the meeting as they had already accused Israel of refusing to meet said but unspecified requirements thus placing all blame with Israel. Israel refused to meet on such short notice as they refused to make the required sacrifices for peace so how could any thinking human being fault the PA or Abbas who was willing to accept meeting with Netanyahu immediately after Israel met the preconditions known to all who follow the peace process. What were these obvious required preconditions Israel refused to meet? Well, there are numerous different such requirements which have been used in the past to make Israel the party unwilling to meet reasonable conditions for peace. One has to note that all PA demands are reasonable conditions which are well known and agreed upon and they are Israeli obligations. Why, one who is erudite might inquire. Well, because at the meetings of the Arab League, the United Nations General Assembly and other such confabs the Palestinian demands are echoed and set down as if they were the law of the universe and denying them would be tantamount to the worst sins humankind has ever committed, which of course is untrue.

This reference was an unobtrusive and subtle reference of the presumed “that the Israelis are evading the requirements of the meeting.” This statement was not followed up upon and there has been no formalization of exactly what Israeli requirements have been left unfulfilled. We can hazard a guess if you would like. One favorite is for Israel to remove all the settlements in order to prepare the lands for the Palestinian state. There is one trio of words which require defining before this “requirement” can be discussed, and those are “all the settlements” which most of the world believes are the Israeli towns, cities, factories, businesses, universities, schools and hospital clinics from beyond the Green Line. Even such as that definition goes well beyond International Law and also beyond any stipulations of the Oslo Accords but that is not the end of this little set of words. One need understand that the PA and much of the Arab World and Muslim World define not only Jews residing beyond the Green Line, the 1949 Armistice Lines as settlements but also all of Jerusalem, Netanya, Haifa, Tel Aviv, Ashdod, Beer Sheva, Eilat, Tiberius, Ma’alot and Nahariya. Basically they believe any Jews residing, as their chanted slogan states, “from the River to the Sea” meaning all the lands from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea should be vacated and turned over to them before any meeting and then there can be a discussion on whether the Jews will be sent to the United States or annihilated. The complete surrender of Israel is the only acceptable end for negotiations and the PA sees no reason to actually argue over details as they prefer to simply demand the final result in some vagaries and then claim Israel is not meeting their obligations.

The hidden secret which has been reported but always gets lost somewhere between the written page and the memories of those reading the articles is that the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction (BDS) Movement was initially the Arab World boycott of Israel plus the “Three No’s” decided upon in the Khartoum Resolution of 1967. These were; no peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel and no negotiations with Israel. Subsequently the PA with the assistance financially of the United Nations, the European Union, United States, European governments and NGOs expanded these concepts folding theme into a package they called the BDS Movement. This went hand in hand with their claims of Apartheid Israel and that Israel was blocking any hope of peace by refusing to meet their obligations. Mahmoud Abbas also declared, with the assistance of an Imam, that all the lands of the British Mandate were WAQF lands, holy Islamic lands which can never be passed on to non-Muslims and that Muslims under Islamic law and Sharia are required to regain the territory and eradicate the nonbelievers who stole this Islamic Waqf. According to this ruling by Abbas and accepted by the Arab World if a Jew were to take a bag of sand from the beach near Akko and return with the sand to the United States then a squad of terrorists would need be dispatched to retrieve this sand in order to make the land whole once more. This is the fanaticism Israel faces where the PA and much of the leftist progressive political world are perfectly content with granting the PA everything they demand including the end of Israel and her people.

Much of Europe is starting their long walk down the primrose path paved with good intentions which includes making the new refugees feel secure and in a familiar surroundings. It matters not that the indigenous population is facing attacks especially against women and girls including young girls as young as nine and ten. There are rape gangs and even rape clubs where they force non-Islamic, and even those Muslims who refuse to wear the protection clothing (Burkas), women into sex through many and varied means which once any one of them gets their way with the young girl she is soon thereafter gang raped and after that any Islamic man can use her for their own pleasure. The sole reason such has not become a common practice in Israel is because of the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) whose members likely include a brother or a cousin or even a parent or uncle or aunt who is able to take their firearm with them, some are encouraged in doing so, and would probably end this horrific situation. Zero tolerance for raping young girls or other such crimes has to be the order of the day every day and such molestations and indignities cannot be permitted to stand. Just because it is a part of Islamic culture being practiced by the thousands of young Islamic men who have been infiltrating Europe as well as the United States and Canada does not mean that their host nations need to permit such barbarity. The enforcement of rape and molestation charges would be an excellent first step in teaching the Muslims what their initial steps towards assimilation will be. If assimilation is not in their repertoire, then either they need an object lesson placing this desire at the head of their “to do list” or repatriating them with wherever they migrated from would be in order. This is not an impossible task and would solve a number of problems all at once.

The same need go for the PA and its population. They need be absorbed as part of Israel and the Israelis should run their schools which must include learning the Hebrew language, learning Jewish and Israelite history, the basic concepts and commandments from within Torah. The younger Arabs as they reached adulthood would need to join their parents in taking the Assimilation testing before being placed on the route for becoming an Israeli citizen with full political rights as well as the other human rights. Those who are incapable of or do not desire learning such history and Hebrew could instead remain in Israel living as a registered alien. This would permit their having voting rights only in Areas A and B but not in national elections. As is required by International Law they would be granted full human rights, the religious right to worship as they pleased but not proselytize or other subversive anti-Semitic or anti-Israeli actions. They would have no voting rights outside Areas A and B as, by Mandate laws which the United Nations accepted in Article 80 of the United Nations Charter, while they are to be granted all civil and human rights, Israel is not required to provide them with political rights or actual citizenship unless the Israeli government so chooses. Any action of terrorism would result in the immediate deportation of any individual convicted of such an act after they served their prison terms. Those committing terrorist acts would forfeit their non-resident alien status and become persona non grata never permitted to return within Israeli borders for the indeterminate future. As Abbas and the rest of the PA and Hamas have all stated they would continue the fight to eradicate the Jews even if Israel surrendered everything but the Tel Aviv metropolitan area then those choosing active terrorism would be returned to their nation of origin or if none could be discerned, they would be unceremoniously dumped across the Syria border and never permitted to return to Israel. But as far as the Russian peace plan, if any meetings do actually come to fruition, it will likely be the shortest peace on record, Hashem willing. When one side will only accept a total and complete surrender of one nation, that nations cannot agree to such terms and the world should not expect Israel to accept such terms. There has been anything but progress towards peace since May 15, 1948, and there is nothing in our current situation which implies that progress is at all possible that might offer even the slightest glimmer of hope. That is exactly what will result from the incidents we have witnessed and we can have little else, especially not hope, but such is the situation which has been exactly as we now see. The future will be promising should a miracle from Hashem strike the entirety of the PA leadership as they open. Anything less and only a miracle will provide and fulfill the needed hopes.
