Time to Cement a Permanent Peace

Israel has never been in a more advantageous position since they wasted their victories of the 1967 Six Day War and then again after the 1973 Yom Kippur War when the Arab world was sent reeling and vulnerable with absolute no means of opposing any Israeli demands. After both of these Arab initiated wars, Israel had proven their ability to defeat the combined militaries of the Arab nations on all borders and had expanded the regions she controlled to not only include both the liberated, that is liberated from illegal Arab occupation, Shomron, renamed West Bank by Jordan, and Gaza, which was held by Egypt, but also the entirety of the Sinai Peninsula and the eastern banks of the Suez Canal. That was a different time when Israel was seen as the underdog overcoming outrageous odds through grit and determination and deserving of respect. Arab financed and leftist supported anti-Semitic, anti-Zionist and anti-Israel propaganda has moved the entire argument from the Arab world against tiny Israel to the military state of Israel which is run by the Mossad and the IDF has conquered the nation of Palestine and victimized the destitute population ever since. When did Israel conquer this nation called Palestine? Well, do not try and confuse the debate, everybody knows they did and that solves it. But there has never been a nation of Palestine, let alone an Arab nation of Palestine. Nonsense, you are simply copying the Zionist lies, they have used their control of the media to tell their lies. These are the conversations which happen when one bothers to actually challenge the Arab propaganda, especially trying to get to the truth at any of the various campuses ‘Hate Israel Weeks or Months” which are held annually on so many major college campuses. How do we know this, guess.

The story has been altered such that Israel has been cast as the bully and plain evil. This has found fertile ground with those who are prone to anti-Jewish suspicions. These exist throughout the extreme edges of the political spectrum both left and right, which under the current slide to the far left, this has started to become a situation which has posed a problem for Israel. The fact is, that there is a relatively conservative, who ten to fifteen years ago would have been considered slightly left of center, as President in the White House. He has initiated some actions concerning the Middle East which have been considered to be very pro-Israel, but this is not entirely accurate as every one of these acts have been to normalize the situation with a context of the realities under which any decision in any of the international courts would be forced to reach because of the actual and honest standings of the Israeli claims over the propaganda everyone is being fed. For a small peek behind the curtain, please take our kind invitation to read for yourself a copy of the Court Ruling from the decision made by the Third Chamber of the Court of Appeal of Versailles in a case brought by the PA against the French companies Alstom and Veolia for building Jerusalem’s light rail system. Their final decision was also a warning to the PA that Israel has the sole claim to all of Judea and Samaria and that they would do best not to take this into any court of law. Furthermore, in an earlier case brought before Egyptian Judge, Justice El Araby, and the International Court of Justice (ICJ), who sat in judgement as part of the panel which heard the case where the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) sought an advisory opinion in 2003 from the ICJ on the legality of the security barrier erected by Israel; the Honorable Justice El Araby warned the UNGA and others, including Mahmoud Abbas and the whole of the PA, that filing further ran some risks, as he stated,

“The international legal status of the Palestinian Territory (paras. 70-71 of the Advisory Opinion), in my view, merits more comprehensive treatment. A historical survey is relevant to the question posed by the General Assembly, for it serves as the background to understanding the legal status of the Palestinian Territory on the one hand and underlines the special and continuing responsibility of the General Assembly on the other. This may appear as academic, without relevance to the present events. The present is however determined by the accumulation of past events and no reasonable and fair concern for the future can possibly disregard a firm grasp of past events. In particular, when on more than one occasion, the rule of law was consistently side-stepped. The point of departure, or one can say in legal jargon, the critical date, is the League of Nations Mandate which was entrusted to Great Britain.”

We hope that taste was a sufficient piece of reality to chew upon. The International Law is based on treaties, not on popular opinions or propagandas or feelings but on that which is written and accepted as law. In the case of Israel, the law has to do with the British Mandate which promised all, that is every last square millimeter, of the land between the Jordan River west to the Mediterranean Sea belongs to the Jewish State, Israel. This is all written in very specific language in the Mandate System under the League of Nations and adopted by the United Nations as enforceable under Article 80 of the United Nations Charter. These are the truths under which courts are forced to use for their rulings which are not aligned with what is portrayed as the popular opinion. This is the way it is conveyed despite polling of the American people shows a comfortable majority support Israel. The reason for some nervousness within Israel is that Israel has become a polarized and partisan subject where the Republican Party, by overwhelming numbers, support Israel while the Democrat Party splits far closer to an even split and sliding away from their former position as friends of Israel. This is a direct result of the Democrat Party slide to the far left such that many are finding that the Democrat Party has left them and gone into some place which they see as dark and ominous. The problem is that the American population is still split fairly evenly between the two parties and the entire political spectrum has shifted considerably to the left, that is both parties such that true conservatives have found that they are standing without any party which supports their beliefs.

What does any of this really have to do with Israel and the potential realities, if any, of a coming “Deal of the Century” from the Administration of President Trump? The reality is that these are adjustments where the United States has all but terminated funding for the Palestinian Authority and completely abandoned UNWRA and removed all recognition for the Palestinian Arab “refugees” who were born after 1948 and in specific cases 1967 as President Trump has stated that the Palestinian Arab refugees are not a special breed of refugee where their status is hereditary and passes from parents to offspring to their offspring to their offspring and presumably on-and-on into perpetuity. President Trump ended this claim and defunded UNRWA who gave the support structure for this ruse. These decisions are of a Presidential nature which means that they have a shelf-life. Just like the JCPOA, the Iran Nuclear Deal, which as a Presidential agreement, it only was valid as long as whoever is the President agreed to honor it. This is also true for these decisions made by President Trump and should he lose to a Democrat Party candidate in 2020, then these decisions could be immediately overturned, and likely would be so overturned immediately after the inauguration. We can likely be assured that Hillary Clinton was the last Democrat Party candidate for President of the United States who could even be cast as potentially pro-Israel, and we have our doubts about her. Even should President Trump be reelected, after the 2024 election on January 20, 2025 (or there abouts) there will be a new President and they might decide that these decisions were far too controversial whether they be Democrat or Republican. So, the Israeli government, specifically those in leadership positions, need realize that the situation facing them is about as favorable as it is probably ever going to get. This means that any ideas which they might have to take advantage of these events have a sell-by date and that might be coming sooner rather than later.

Israel has not been in a position where most of the power was in her hands since the early 1980’s if not even earlier. Just as then, this will not be a permanent situation and waiting can only waste yet one more golden opportunity. Waiting for President Trump to come forward with his “Deal of the Century” may actually work against Israeli interests. This is doubtful, but President Trump will be forced simply by political realities to provide something for the Arab side which could eventually become yet another threat to Israeli security and continued peace. Israel needs to remember all the promises she had received through the years from Presidents claiming to have their back. For every one of those promises, it seems that there are a couple of knives in their back right about where they were patted when promised that they had the Israeli leader’s back and that of the nation and her people. It is well past time that Israel simply acted in her own behalf, on her own behalf, and using the fact that she is the real power in the region as the backing for her decision. This does not mean that Israel should act with complete disregard for the Palestinian Arabs who were merely Arabs until 1964 and the great idea forged by the KGB to adopt the name of Palestinian as they realized that there was a long history of Palestinians in the region, who were the Jews as this is how the Jews were called during the British Mandate period which began in 1922 after World War I. What were the Arabs referred to as during this time? Well, they were called Syrians, Iraqis, Egyptians, Jordanians or simply Arabs and the Jews were Palestinians because it was only the Jews who had a presence in Jerusalem and the surrounding regions since almost pre-historic times. The Jews were the people who resided in the region when the Romans changed its name from Judea to Syria Palaestina to remove any reference to the Jews as they were attempting to destroy the Jewish People, something often tried but never with any success thankfully. The Romans changing the area’s name Judea to Syria Palaestina was exactly the same as when Jordan in occupying the Shomron which is made up of Judea and Samaria was renamed West Bank to remove the historic Hebrew names. They chose to adopt the name of Palestinians was such that they could claim the entire history of the Jewish People in the Holy Land which they have done with a well funded propaganda campaign. The entire story of Palestinian Arabs is largely a phantasm, wisps of smoke entwined with mirrors, something which vanishes with even the slightest introduction of actual history and facts. The demonizing of Israel, though, is a political position which has gained much validity largely due to the great amounts of funding behind these positions.

This is the reason why Israel needs to act while they have an upper position and the support from the White House. Should the “Blue Wave” become a reality in the upcoming midterms, any attempts by the White House to act will be severely crippled as the Congress will immediately start investigations, beyond the Mueller farce, and possibly bring charges under Articles of Impeachment. All of this would take over the attention of the White House and especially the man in the Oval Office and Israel could rapidly be placed on the back burner which could allow the Congress to undo much of the funding changes which have altered the situation. Things could change rapidly and any change would more likely be against the Israelis best interest and even return everything to the situation faced before President Trump moved the deckchairs. Israel needs to move in her own interests and remember that any deal brought forth by outside interests will very likely demand that Israel make a compromise which could, according to promises, be undone by Israel if things went awry. Israel was given this exact promise when she agreed to the Gaza pullout which made over eight-thousand Israelis instantly homeless and jobless thrown from their communities and placed around the country in temporary housing where some still languish. Their entire life’s work was torn to shreds by the Arabs and within two years Gaza was taken over by Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Iranian proxies who have provoked three wars and are currently attempting to press another war. Gaza has been rioting regularly at least every Friday and sometimes straight through some weeks. The current threat, as much of the world media has stopped reporting, have been breaches of the border with the IDF being attacked with Molotov cocktails, grenades and other weapons. Yes, the Gazan Arabs are throwing grenades at the IDF, real grenades and homemade grenades. The question is, does it really matter whether the grenades were made in Gaza workshops or supplied by Iran when, as happened just a day or two ago, a soldier is injured requiring hospitalization? If I were the unfortunate young IDF soldier who woke on a stretcher heading for a hospital to be treated, where the explosive devise, the grenade, was constructed really is not much of a concern, will the soldiers lose a limb, as had happened to others before, or will they leave the hospital whole. This IDF soldier will recover and return to their unit whole, thank Hashem.

Israel cannot afford another Gaza which is a definite probability should the Arabs, whether it is Abbas, Jordan, or some new person chosen by President Trump and the Arab states presumably aiding this process, be placed governing an area within the region which international law has reserved presumably for Israel, one has to ask how long before Hamas or other Jihadist entity takes over through a coup or other violent revolt? The answer is if not almost immediately or it might take a year, two years, or five years, does when really matter? Should such an entity get control in the Shomron where some Arab towns and regions overlook Tel Aviv and sit close to major Israeli roadways (see images below), these are the graphic realities which after any compromise could become a frightening reality. The farm sitting overlooking a major Israel thoroughfare could cause that stretch of road to become too dangerous to be used simply by teens using slings to hurl rocks striking vehicles in their windshields for an hour or for fifteen minutes and then fleeing before security police arrive one or twice a week, that is all it would take. Simple rockets, Katyusha which are easily made in any metal shop, are depicted in the next picture and central Tel Aviv is within the range of these simple rockets. Further, these rockets do fly fairly straight when constructed well and as they could be fired from places with line-of-sight, they can adjust fire until they strike their desired target. Even the beaches are within the range of these simple rockets, and should the Arab region also have any lands bordering the Jordan River, then any and every form of weaponry and missiles could be provided to allies of Iran even if such required tunneling beneath the Jordan River itself. The reality is that should Israel not have complete security control over the entirety of the Shomron, then whatever area, no matter how small, which is relegated for autonomous Arab control, Israel would be facing a threat centered in the heart of the country in the identically same lands from which the Israelis thrice chased the Romans from within the entirety of Israel, no matter however briefly, they defeated Rome from these very hills.

Israel, Prime Minister Netanyahu in particular, needs to take all required steps to assure the permanence and defensibility of Israel, her people and her future for perpetuity. There is no reason for the Israeli leadership not to act because there will never be a better friend who will have the back of Israel in the future, not even if Vice President Pence, a true and longtime friend of Israel, could be as strong as President Trump has been with his actions. Another thing is that President Trump is not a political individual who is stuck within the normative parameters as any politically driven President would end up being, and this allows him to act completely outside the otherwise normal manners. His actions thusfar have proven this in absolutely positive manner and these gains require being reinforced and made into a permanent situation through reciprocal Israeli actions. Only if there have been explicit further actions described as well as a believable and feasible final situation which is completely and totally adequate in providing for all future Israeli security, can patience be the preferred Israeli position. It would be a far worse situation should the Trump initiatives become opposed by the Arabs states and result in them turning into an interruptive force where they completely back leaving Mahmoud Abbas in place and no permanent change to the situation as in such an atmosphere, any Israeli actions would become less probable to succeed. Israel needs to strike while they are in an advantageous position and not allow things to turn in any unpredictable way. Unfortunately, we do not expect Prime Minister Netanyahu to take anything which might be read as provocative, bold or as advantageous as we have been advising.

It’s Nothing Personal, We Just Hate You

Really, we have nothing against you personally, well, unless you are one of those holy religious types, then yes we do. You see it is just simply by having your kind still around despite all we have attempted to do over the years, well, it’s just not natural. And if it is not natural, then it must be supernatural, and you know what that means. That’s right, it means that your claims about Hashem just might ring true and that is something which bothers us greatly. You see, if what you claim is true and there really is a Supreme Being, Hashem, as you call Him, then the Ten Commandments are valid and truly Divinely given and that scroll of yours, the Torah, is also true and Divinely given. That means that there really exists a standard by which we are supposed to live our lives and that just takes the fun out of life. Add to that the fact that our every step and misstep is watched and kept a record of by which we will be judged, where’s the fun left after that? You all simply demand too much of the rest of us and those of you in Israel just make it all that much worse. Let us explain.

You see when you were dispersed throughout our worlds; we could do with you and to you what we pleased because you lacked the will and the numbers to fight back. We could murder you and nothing struck us from out of the heavens, no lightning bolts, no burning hail, nothing. We could steal all your wealth, burn your homes and chase you out of our countries and everything continued without you. We could charge you an extra tax, the Jizyah, force you to walk in the gutter and not contaminate our sidewalks, make you hunch down keeping your heads lower than even our shortest person and deny you any legal rights such that murdering you was no longer a crime. We were free to do anything because our religions which required little of us had replaced yours as the Chosen People; we became the Chosen Ones and you became the cursed, the spawn of Satan. But now you have returned to your ancestral homelands just as prophesized and, according to scholars, you came back exactly as prophesized over two millennia ago. How can we interpret such miracles other than divinely set in stone and executed just as promised by Hashem.

As was set out in a recent post, “Ezekiel said the Jews were to be punished for 430 years because they had turned away from Hashem. This was to become the Babylonian exile. The Persians under Cyrus the Great defeated the Babylonians and freed their Jewish captives about 70 years after Judah lost independence to Babylon. This left 360 years which the Jews would require a second exile to fulfill as one must pay Hashem when one strays. In Leviticus 26:18, Leviticus 26:21, Leviticus 26:24 and Leviticus 26:28 the Torah spells things out quite clearly, should the Jews not fully repent their sins they would be punished increased by a factor of seven. Since most of the Jews freed from Babylon decided to live in the Persian society and adopted pagan ways, which is not exactly repenting, their remaining 360 years were multiplied by seven meaning their time in the Diaspora or under foreign occupation became 2,520 years on the original lunar Jewish calendar which translates to 2,484 years. Count from 536 BCE forward 2,484 years and you arrive at 1948.”

Further prophesies foretold of the events under which the Jewish State would return. One of the most miraculous was from Isaiah 66:7-8 where it states, “Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children.” Israel did come into being in a single day declared a nation holding her Biblical borders from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, some parts of which were lost yet she survived every attempt to dislodge the Jewish People to this day. That too was the prophesy from Ezekiel 37:1-14 telling of the restoration of the Jewish People using the parable of the Valley of Dry Bones. The prophesy tells of the ingathering of the Jewish People being brought from the four corners and renewed. The prophesy also speaks of taking tribes of Israel (Joseph) and the tribe of Judah and make them one foretelling that the House of Israel will be a united house once more as it is. The verse goes on to say that being observant and true to the Mitzvahs, the Commandments, will be made easy for the people in Israel, something we can attest to as this has been our case as religion has come upon our souls and persons and following the Commandments of Torah have been placed within reach.

But these are the exact things which have so frightened so many and within their hearts, a great discomfort lay and for this, they blame the Jews. Blaming the Jews for any discomfort, disease, strife or difficulty had become so second nature that it became second nature, as natural to the non-Jew as breathing. The fact that the Jewish People now have their ancestral lands almost completely returned unto them and they posses a military which is effective so above its level of fighters and equipment that it is sobering and difficult to explain without invoking Hashem. This too has set the gentile, both Christian and Muslim on edge, for if the Jews remain the Chosen People, then what does this do to their claims of replacement of the Jewish People? This sets many on edge, as they must question what this will mean to their faith. But there is a group who are even more perturbed, the secularists and especially the leftist secularists. These individuals and as a group, have replaced the Divine with the mundane, with the government, as the entity which gives life and sustenance to the people. The fact that Hebrew prophesies are being visualized and what was foretold two-thousand to two-thousand-seven-hundred years back have come to pass and not only come to pass but have played out exactly as foretold. They try and explain these phenomena with the directives of the League of Nations and the United Nations but they know that these events come from a far different source. The fact of such frightens them and is shaking the very core of their beliefs. The saddest part is that many of these secularists claim they are practicing Jews but have replaced Torah with leftist propaganda and Marxist principles. These Jews will be lost and never will return without even greater miracles, and we would not rule such out.

Still, what is the purpose of the growing anti-Semitism, the growing hatred shown the Jews? This could be the mechanism by which the remnants of Jews will be forced from Europe just as anti-Semitism along with anti-Zionism and anti-Israelism caused the majority of Arab nations to purge their societies of the Jews forcing them into exile. Most of these near one-million Jews resettled in Israel with small percentages making their way to France, Britain, and the United States, most often only if they had relatives who would sponsor them. Lacking such relatives, the vast majorities are now living in Israel and unlike the Arab refugees, these Jews were welcomed and somehow were managed to be interwoven into Israel despite any inconvenience, cost or other difficulties. This could be what will play out with time in Europe as we can already see areas where no Jew dare tread for fear of life within many major European cities. Such areas are more wide spread than are the Muslim communities as things are reaching the point where many Jews if religious must either hide their religiousness when leaving Jewish neighborhoods and traveling into the general public if they wish to avoid conflict.

But there is far more resulting from the reestablishment of Israel. Many Europeans, Islamists and, to a lesser extent currently, Americans are raising the specter of anti-Semitism once again. Large sectors of this is well disguised and those coming to hate the Jews claim that it is not the Jews they are against, it is the occupation of the Palestinians. They are not anti-Semitic or even really anti-Israel or anti-Zionist, they are anti-settlers, anti-occupation and pro-Palestinian Arab. They will say that all they want is for the Palestinian Arabs to be given their fair share and the small amounts which they claim. If pressed they will claim that all they desire is for the Palestinian Arabs to be granted their state in 22% of the land. They will often, out of ignorance, add just the West Bank and Gaza. The 22% which Mahmoud Abbas demands is the remaining 22% of the British Mandate which is everything which is not Jordan. He states that the British Mandate must be seen as a whole and complete entity and that the Palestinians are due the 22% of the Mandate west of the Jordan River. This leaves no Israel. Many knowingly agree with this demand realizing it would destroy Israel, something they support. They know that if Israel is destroyed, then there exists no Divine Entity and thus their secular beliefs are validated. This would permit them to return to their lives, as they desire to live them, without any overreaching moral code.

The Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments

They desire to live as people lived before the Ten Commandments were handed down at Mount Sinai. They desire to live as did the Greeks, Romans, Persians and those ancient idolatrous religions with their pleasure driven societies. The secularists are opposed to the Jews and also to the Christians who they see as simply a different form of Jewish morality. This is evident in the normalization of homosexual relations to the point beyond where even the Greeks and Romans went, considering same-sex marriages. The Greeks and Romans still married women even if just to procreate and had their young boys for lovers. This was what was stated in all too many schoolbooks even in the 1950’s and 1960’s. The legalization of abortion and the permitting such up until the point of birth with some pro-choice students thinking it’ is morally acceptable to kill a child after birth up to the age of five. Many blame these ideal on the reading of modern ethicist falling after their influences with the likes of Peter Singer as part of required reading in many college courses. How such thoughts are much different from the child sacrifices as were offered to Baal by the Babylonians, another of the wonderful societies from antiquity. Such beliefs run so contrary to the teachings in the Torah and throughout the Bible that they only cause more antipathy towards the Jews as the originators of religious morality. The society, in many aspects, just wish to return to some slightly more civilized form of barbarity where personal pleasure and the pursuit of self-gratification are the only real concerns and let the others take care of themselves. The secularist passes off all requirements to care for the indigent, the elderly, the disabled to the government such that they just pay taxes and otherwise need not care about the plights of their brothers and sisters.

Ancient Child Sacrificial Ceremony Giving of the First Born or Virgin Child to Ba’al so as to Appease the Wrathful Idol

Genesis told mankind that yes indeed, we are our brother’s keeper, and it did not wait that far into the book before making that very point. It was Genesis Chapter 4:9 where it states, “And the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” And he said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”” Hashem goes on to impress that we are indeed responsible for our brethren, all of them, woman, man, child, any who are distressed are our responsibility. That is a great responsibility which takes great effort; it is far more fun to entertain ourselves with distractions. This too is another chapter for the hatred of the Jews and their return to their ancestral homelands making the existence of the Divine too obvious to ignore. Defeat Israel and the prophesies are broken and thus there is no Divine Entity over all creation. Physics, Chemistry, Cosmology, Mathematics and the rest of the hard sciences prove how everything came into being and they do not find anything miraculous about the universe, do they? Well, perhaps science has mathematically proven the existence of the Divine, of Hashem. For the record, Dr. Gödel put it through his equations:

Ax. 1 {P(φ)∧◻∀x[φ(x)→ψ(x)]} →P(ψ)
Ax. 2 P(¬φ)↔¬P(φ)Th. 1.P(φ)→◊∃x[φ(x)]Df. 1.G(x)⟺∀φ[P(φ)→φ(x)]
Ax. 3 P(G)Th. 2.◊∃xG(x)Df. 2.φ ess x⟺φ(x)∧∀ψ{ψ(x)→◻∀y[φ(y)→ψ(y)]}
Ax. 4 P(φ)→◻P(φ)Th. 3.G(x)→G ess xDf. 3.E(x)⟺∀φ[φ ess x→◻∃yφ(y)]
Ax. 5 P(E)Th. 4.◻∃xG(x)”

Clear-cut as it can be and so easily and obviously, honest, we have no clue what Dr. Gödel was even trying to postulate, let alone know what this means, but it just might make more sense to someone else. For us, the return of the Jewish People and the continued existence of Israel despite all the things throughout the world working to destroy her and the Torah are all we require to believe and worship the Divine, to pray and hope that Hashem will treat us with kindness and a forgiving nature. Meanwhile, even should the entirety of the rest of the world stand against Israel, as long as we have Hashem and the blessings which accompany the country of Israel as a result, we will have little cause to worry. It is only if we have transgressed and acted with willful sinfulness that our need for concern should be awakened. Fortunately, Hashem usually sends at least one strongly felt and impossible to ignore warning, somewhat like a divine shot across the bow like say a large meteor striking within Israel or the Earth opening up and swallowing an entire neighborhood, something minor like such. A kind of repent now message from on high. Otherwise, we may just be going to do fine and live here for what will be nearly an eternity, if not an actual eternity.

What is Said About the IDF?

We often hear accusations and denunciation of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claiming the Israeli military uses undue force, excessive force, disproportional force, and cause unnecessary injury, death, damage and destruction while breaking universal codes and laws amounting to crimes against humanity and war crimes and uses methods which can only be termed as collective punishment in order to maximize the pain and suffering of the Arab Palestinians. Such a litany of offenses such that one can only have nightmares when thinking of any Military operations conducted by the IDF would have to be the conclusion reached by any objective research or analysis of IDF operations. So, what have been the results of actual investigations of these alleged criminal offensives committed by Israeli soldiers and forces? Let us look back and see exactly what have been the conclusions of exactly one of these reviews, the most famous, Jenin. But first let us allow an IDF soldier describe the type of soldier serves in an IDF combat unit, and some would say any unit, us included, as he talks to some supporters of Israel visiting the holy lands.

The question-
What makes the Israeli soldier the best in the world?

answered by
Colonel Sharon Gat

One of the supposed famous uses of overt and undue force was the attack on the Jenin Refugee Camp often referred to as the Jenin massacre or the battle for Jenin. The operation took place as part of Operation Defensive Shield which was in response to and in order to bring to an end the Second Intifada after almost two thousand Israelis, mostly civilians, had lost their lives being murdered in suicide bombings, ambushes, shootings, stabbings and many other assaults and terror attacks. Ten times as many suffered injuries of which many were horrific crippling and permanently scarring injuries as a result of explosive devices laced with nuts, bolts, broken glass, screws, metal shards and other projectile some of which had been tainted with rat poison and even with human blood assumed to have carried pathogens such as AIDS infected blood. The use of human blood, even infected with AIDS or other pathogens would be largely ineffectual as the explosive heat would serve to disinfect the blood and break it down making it simply another foreign substance. The Second Intifada was planned to be executed by Yasser Arafat even before his supposed historic visit to Washington D.C. to shake hands with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, thus beginning the Camp David Summit, and work towards a peace with Israel. The Camp David Summit finally collapsed with the end of President Bill Clinton’s term in office after the Taba Initiative in January 2001. The Second Intifada began September 28, 2000 escalating through February 8, 2005 with Operation Defensive Shield executed from March 29 through May 3, 2002 presumably to, according to WikipediA “to catch and arrest terrorists and, primarily, their dispatchers and those who finance and support them; to confiscate weapons intended to be used against Israeli citizens; to expose and destroy facilities and explosives, laboratories, weapons production factories and secret installations. The orders are clear: target and paralyze anyone who takes up weapons and tries to oppose our troops, resists them or endangers them – and to avoid harming the civilian population.” The Arab Palestinian leadership complained to their echo chamber known as the United Nations General Assembly which also allowed the European and rest of the western media, especially left leaning news sources such as Haaretz, the New York Times, the Guardian, France Channel 2, the BBC and so many more, to fill their front pages with horror stories and place large block print headlines to match the hyperventilating verbiage of IDF atrocities of which the largest and most famous was the Battle for Jenin. This is where we start.

Jenin Typical Media Image Shot From One End of Destruction To the Farthest End Making for Devastated Landscape

Jenin Typical Media Image Shot From One End of Destruction
To the Farthest End Making for Devastated Landscape

The claims about the Battle for Jenin grew as the days wore on even after the fight was concluded. The actual battle began on April 1, 2002, April Fool’s Day; so appropriate, as what followed could be the biggest and most destructive intended April Fool’s Day lie, prank, ever perpetrated, and continued until April 11, 2002, and the IDF pulled out from the area on April 18, 2002, after making sure that all explosives, traps and other dangerous items assuring that it would be safe when the people, the Arab Palestinians, returned to rebuild the area, a relatively small area, especially when compared to the reports and media exaggerations. The Arab Palestinian representative and assistants kept their echo chamber filled with ever progressively grim and horrific updates about the events in the Jenin Refugee Camp and the echo chamber, better known as the United Nations General Assembly, reverberated each claim assuring that it would ring around the globe repeated in every newspaper and broadcast. They were especially and dutifully reported in the left leaning media such as Haaretz in Israel, the New York Times (the grey lady) from which others get their marching orders, amongst those the Washington Post, and also France 24, the BBC and a host of others where headlines and too serious reporters on screen told of the daily, hourly reports of civilian massacres, torture and all sorts of depravities presumably committed while the few but determined Fatah and PLO warriors attempted in vain to rescue the unfortunate refugees being subjected by the IDF. Not too much later the United Nations sent its investigators team to prove the allegations that the IDF was a marred and all too human and depraved military oppressing and rampaging in the Palestinian camp. Finally, on April 19, the United Nations Security Council unanimously passed Resolution 1405 to send a fact-finding mission to Jenin.

Abed Rabbo claimed about the mission that it was to be, “the first step toward making Sharon stand trial before an international tribunal.” That was just another of the accumulating charges being barked by the Arab Palestinians from top to bottom. The refugees were the prime players telling the media horror stories about how the bulldozers were collapsing houses on entire families intentionally preventing them from escaping, torturing, shipping bodies out in trucks, mass graves and every other conceivable horror imaginable. The reporting made some wild conjecture over what horrors were to be reported and how Israel was finally going to be found out as finally the United Nations, backed by the Security Council, nothing would stop the truth this time, the reckoning was upon Sharon and the Israelis and their infernal IDF. The moment came and passed anticlimactically as only fifty-two Palestinians died, the majority combatants.

Jenin Battle Map and the Truth

Jenin Battle Map and the Truth

After the rumors rampant before the report continued, despite knowing they would soon be proven a lie, continue claiming that upwards of 16,000 killed and the entire camp all but destroyed. The media in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv reported these claims often as facts. The end result was an area the size of a football pitch was destroyed and less than 100 casualties were suffered combined. The entire build-up crashed in a single hour when the truth cut it to the bone, to the marrow. But the lie of Jenin refuses to die as it is still referred to as the Jenin massacre. Reality rarely shines on the Jenin story as the only thing still massacred in Jenin is the truth and the truth is further wounded every time the lies seep forth being used to rile hatreds.
