Hamas-Fatah Union Job Finished

The Union between Fatah and Hamas we reported on in the first article of our three part report on the situation in Gaza, Judea, Samaria and concerning Israel and beyond. Their intent was to make and peace proposal impossible to implement, as all efforts were formed targeting Judea and Samaria and the Palestinian Authority (PA) and never to include Gaza or Hamas and Islamic Jihad. The main item which Fatah and the PA wanted to gain was a simple quote saying there could be no peace as long as Hamas rejects Israel and has the destruction of Israel and the death of all Jews as their main goals. Well, they have their quote from which they will pluck the juiciest part to use to further their own goals. The magic phrase came from Prime Minister Netanyahu when he wrote on his Facebook page following the end of the Simchat Torah holiday, “Reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas makes peace much harder to achieve.” Prime Minister Netanyahu later added, “Reconciling with mass-murderers is part of the problem, not part of the solution. Say yes to peace and no to joining hands with Hamas.”

Just wait for it and sooner or later we will hear from Mahmoud Abbas misquoting Prime Minister Netanyahu by taking parts of his Facebook statements such as claiming that Netanyahu says, “peace much harder to achieve.” Then Abbas will add to the quote with something misleading such as “Israel” adding and according to the Prime Minister, “is part of the problem, not part of the solution.” The Palestinian leadership has used partial quotes before to paint Israel as the problem while Mahmoud Abbas refused every opportunity for peace demanding that the only true peace includes the eradication of the Jewish State and that the entirety of the lands from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea be cleansed of the Jews. When the leaders of Fatah, the PLO, and the PA speak to their people, they sound exactly the same as Hamas states. They tell them how they will drive the Jews into the Sea or other similar messages denoting the eradication of Israel as it now exists. There are two storylines they tell. The first is the simple war where Israel is defeated and the Jews made to submit or die. Another is they receive their peace treaty allowing for five to eight or even ten million Arab refugees to be resettled inside Israel as full citizens and demand an immediate election where they will vote to join the PA and the Jews will be subjugated. You may have noticed that they both have the same ending. The supposed reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah will also now come to a bitter end as they agree to disagree on just about everything except the death of Israel and the Jews.

The truth of the matter is the leadership of the PA, Fatah, PLO, Hamas et. al. are counting on the world’s basic historic anti-Semitism, especially European anti-Semitism and United Nations with all its departments, NGOs and related agencies, to erode and sap the will of the Jews and through demanding concessions after concession to whittle Israel to the point that she become indefensible and then with the rest of the Arab world or with Iran and Hezballah, they will have a final war where Israel can be eliminated. The Arab world has assisted greatly by financing propaganda such as the BDS movement (Boycott, Divestment and Sanction), International Solidarity Movement (ISM), Stand With Us and numerous other organizations all done in concert with far leftist groups such as Jewish Voices of Peace (JVP), New Israel Fund, and other such groups whose main efforts is to drive a wedge between American Jews and Israel. This effort to drive Israel and American Jews apart has, very sadly, started to pay dividends as it has managed to even split the campus group Hillel such that numerous Hillel houses on far left leaning campuses have renamed themselves as Open Hillel, just like Open Orthodoxy has done with Orthodox Judaism, they have both turned against their origins and joined the other side and then demanded that their former origins now accept their rules and forfeit their basic origins and beliefs. The Open Hillel takes the post-Zionist viewpoint which claims that Zionism is a form of imperialism and colonialism and thus a form of racist imperialism and oppression. They are leading Jewish college students away from supporting Israel to actively opposing Israel.

This problem also exists in the Democrat Party except for some of the older representatives and the minority of Jews in power with the Party. Much of the farther leftists who have risen to be the future power within the Democrat Party are virulently anti-Israel and many also anti-Semitic. This was evidenced in 2012 when the Democrat Party floor voted to include G0d and place Jerusalem as the Israeli capital was an indecisive vote but definitely not the two-thirds required for placing it on the platform. They passed it anyways. Further, the recent Democrat Party election for chairman between Tom Perez and Keith Ellison was excessively close such that Perez won in the second vote, after missing out by just one vote in the first round of voting so they gave as a consolation the position as Deputy Chairman to Keith Ellison. Representative Ellison was amongst those who voted against resupply to Israel for their Iron Dome anti-missile systems, a purely defensive weapon which was preventing Hamas rockets from killing Israeli citizens. That is just one example of Representative Ellison’s disdain, or should we call it what it is, hatred for Israel and Jews. Things have been changing in the body politic in the United States and the support for Israel. The main party supporting Israel, as it is no longer a bipartisan supported item, has gone over to the Republicans and the major support from the public is no longer with the Jews as even if every Jew were a supporter of Israel, their two percent of the population cannot even dream of competing with the Evangelical Christians with their consisting of one-fourth of the population and strongly conservative supporting the Republican. The truth behind the United States support for Israel does not come from the Jews, though they may often be the loudest, but from the Evangelical Christians who are more serene, calm and sedate but just as vehemently strong in support of Israel as the most Zionist Jew.
