Pro-Palestinian Pressure Pushing President Obama

 

The hounding of hate is hammering President Obama to act unilaterally to recognize the Palestinian State and declare the borders as the Green Line before it is too late. The claim is by taking on such a bold endeavor he will forever place his name into the history of the Middle East as the man who achieved the impossible. The two leaders have already launched their opening salvos with President Jimmy Carter sounding off in the New York Times with two days later Dennis Ross following up in the Washington Post with both sounding their same sirens song of doom. President Jimmy Carter never misses an opportunity to display his visceral hatred for the Jewish State while Dennis Ross is simply a misguided soul forever attempting to make right his deep and enduring trust that Yasser Arafat and, by inference, his understudy Mahmoud Abbas are statesmen who have forgone their terrorist pasts and become men in the mold of Gandhi. Needless to point out that both we here at BTC and history have proven both men horrifically misguided. In the case of President Carter it is a true hatred while Dennis Ross took a wrong turn back around 1990 and has never recovered and found the highway to the future and continues down one dead end after another. The real problem is that President Obama shares both men’s shortcomings when it comes to Israel and particularly Prime Minister Netanyahu. The question is does this situation portend some imminent disaster or will Israel survive these last six weeks unscathed by the wrath of the White House.

Truth be told, it does not bode well for President Obama to actually make good on his indications that there is no last minute surprise in store for United States policy in the Middle East, particularly for Israel and the Palestinian situation. The problem comes to a head the day after Christmas and was set in motion by the Israeli Supreme Court. According to a ruling by the Supreme Court of Israel, in response to a leftist petition claiming Arab ownership of lands which the community of Amona is using, with an absentee deed issued by Jordan during their illegal occupation of Judea and Samaria as the proof of Arab ownership, the community has been ordered destroyed. The owners of these lands never built any structure there, likely never tread their feet on said soil, probably could not locate their land on a blank map of the area and were given honorary title largely to make claim to prevent Jews from ever owning the land. Jordan gave out such deeds in name only covering the majority of the lands of Judea and Samaria as a reward and as a stop against squatters while they possessed the lands and now this ploy is being used against honest development of the area by post-Zionist leftists. The sickening part of all this is these are Israeli Jews whose NGO’s are largely European supported and have next to no Israeli funding but register as Israel due to lack of legal requirement for NGO’s to have predominately domestic funding, a law found in the United States and virtually every European nation but denied Israel by Western, mostly European, demands and protests every time the Knesset considers such a law plus the Israeli Supreme Court, ever the backer of all idea European, threatens to negate any such law which is made into law. This is an example of another problem brought on by an out of control judiciary where the Supreme Court has taken on the position of final arbiter of all things legal to such an extent as to have negated laws they disagree with politically and writing new laws they believe are necessary to extend and further empower themselves. When additionally, the Supreme Court itself has veto power over any proposed sitting of Judges replacing any jurist who dies in office or steps down, plus also appointing their Chief Justice; this has produced a Supreme Court which rules as if the year is still somewhere around 1970, standing immeasurably to the left of the Israeli public and governance who are all but powerless against this abuse of power. The runaway Supreme Court relishes handing out destruction orders for any Israeli development, even to include legally built communities which were granted government approval and have every piece of paper required for ownership, simply by any NGO claiming they know of previous Arab ownership of the land in question and ruling without any process to determine whether such deed exists or right of ownership. According to Justices sitting on the Supreme Court it is not their place to determine ownership and they need not question such claims as who would make such a claim falsely. Well, as it turns out, these NGO’s would and have done so with actual cases where they found an Arab who would claim ownership, nobody along the way required proof and when the suit of ownership finally reached a lower court the claimant usually is nowhere to be found fearing filing false claims charges. This has occurred more than once and more often than not no claim for ownership is ever filed by the supposed Arab claimant in most instances.

 

With the Supreme Court demanding the destruction of this community on December 25th, the day after Christmas and the second day of Chanukah, the pressure has come upon the Knesset to reign in the Supreme Court and their presumed power using this case as the weapon of choice. The Prime Minister has attempted to mollify the situation claiming that the community will simply be moved a few hundred meters away from the lands behind the order and the community of Amona will be saved as if a community can be moved by waving his magic wand. The promise of moving homes and communities to new locations close to their former location have been proffered by Israeli politicians before and then the feasibility study renders such impossible or far too expensive and the community gets destroyed and remains destroyed. This ploy will not be accepted as the viable magic solution once again. The sole solution which should be implemented by the Knesset is the issuing of a Basic Law which empowers the Knesset alone in the determination of legality of any Israeli community and its structures and that once the community has been properly filed and plans set then the Supreme Court will be prohibited from making any destruction orders without first a settlement of proper claim has been made and verified settled by lower courts. This would make a great first step in solving a serious problem within Israel and allow people residing in these challenged locations who possess righteous claims under the law to rest easy at night that the next day bulldozers are not going to come and destroy their lives.

 

Subsequent to such an enactment of a Basic Law, sort of a constitutional set of laws which can be enacted and amended by simple majority, another problem for another time, there need be a resetting of the selection process for judgeships, especially for the Supreme Court. The legal community could and should have input as to who is eligible to be placed on the bench and who can be elevated to the Supreme Court. Their input need be as part of the selection committee but not the validations process or even the majority decider in said committee. Further, the Prime Minister should be the originator of a list of acceptable names worked out between him and the leaders of the ruling coalition and with input from the leader of the opposition. This list should then be passed to a committee made up of perhaps nine electors; three from the judiciary, three from the Knesset ruling coalition, two from the opposition and one representing the Prime Minister. Once these committee members have decided on the judge, then the Knesset should decide needing an approval of seventy-two Knesset Ministers (60%) with Supreme Court nominees required to have eighty Knesset Members agree to their appointment (2/3). Such a procedure would provide for adequate Judicial input while leaving the final appointment up to the representatives of the people of the State of Israel and not permit the tyranny of the robes continue unabated. This ruling need also be included in the Basic Laws and should serve as the template if and when a Constitution is finally permitted to be written.

 

Still, should the community of Amona become another battleground between the Supreme Court and the elected governance, especially if it becomes a battle between the Supreme Court and the Prime Minister, then it could explode initially in the Israeli media with Haaretz leading the cheer for destruction and supporting the Supreme Court, it would soon be picked up by the European media and them the United States mainstream media and the howling worldwide would begin. The European media would be demanding the Supreme Court order to destroy Jewish homes be upheld immediately as they always have and in the United States the left leaning media would likely follow suit while right leaning media would support the residents of the community and the Prime Minister and/or the Knesset as they represent the will of the people. Such a brouhaha exploding in the media might be the impetus supporting the demands of Dennis Ross and President Jimmy Carter and demanding the destruction of what will most certainly be labeled a “settlement” might prompt the White House to take action to settle the entire controversy.

As President Obama has consistently implied that the border for any Arab Palestine should be the 1949 Armistice Lines, the Green Line, and the division of Jerusalem to be the shared Capital of each nation; the immediate problem is Jerusalem which Israelis feel militantly strongly must remain in Israeli control such that the Holy Sites in the Old City, including the Temple Mount, are open to all people of all faiths and not once again become a closed area where only Muslims are permitted to tread as it was under Jordanian Rule and would return to under Arab Palestinian rule. This would present a breaking-point which would have no means of breaching to reach a settlement. This would bring down any government prepared to give away half of our Holy City and Capital City for three-thousand years and never having been the capital city of any other nation. Jerusalem is the beating heart of Judaism and the Arabs are aware of this which is why they are demanding it be broken in two as should such come to pass the wound to Judaism and religious Jews would be insufferable and could not be permitted to stand. That is the plain and simple truth and no Israeli government could stand after suffering such a proposal even for consideration. This strong and unyielding attachment was best described by the Song of Babylon written as a response to the demand of the Babylonians that their Jewish Israelite captives who were being sold into slavery in many a case sing for them a song as the Jews, especially the Priests, were renowned for their love of song and singing abilities. One must remember that the young King David played the lyre and was sweet in song such that he would be called to sing to King Saul to soothe the King in times of distress. There is one of the most famous lines within this song of distress which read “If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill (lose its strength). May my tongue cling to my palate, if I do not remember you, if I do not bring up Jerusalem at the beginning of my joy.” That is the importance of Jerusalem, that and so much more. As might be said in less formal a situation, dividing Yerushalayim be fighting words.

 

Of course there would be no dividing of Jerusalem nor would there be the acceptance of the 1949 Armistice Lines, the Green Line, and no acceptance of an Arab State by any name unless that state replaced all of Israel either through the return of over five million Arabs into Israel all steeped in the same indoctrination by UNRWA as the Hamas and PLO terrorists the Palestinian Arab schools churn out year after year with their textbooks filled with hatred of Israel and Jews, all Jews everywhere and anywhere. Mahmoud Abbas has already declared all the lands from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea as an Islamic Sacred Waqf. By his own declarations he is religiously tied to refuse anything short of the complete destruction of Israel. If Abbas were to accept the 1949 Armistice Lines as borders, even temporary borders, he would be hung from a crane by noon on that day and the entirety of Judea and Samaria, and we’re afraid parts inside Israel, would briefly turn into a redux of Syria with all the violence and a heated war waged between the PLO against Hamas with Islamic State trying to take control as well. Granted such lawlessness inside Israel would be rapidly quelled and the areas within Judea and Samaria where Israel is responsible for keeping the peace under the Oslo Accords would also be pacified but until the world demanded, the area presumably controlled by the Palestinian Authority (PA) would remain a lawless land of strife, struggle and death.

 

Press Abbas to accept such a declaration and one is lighting the fuse on a dangerous situation which would explode as the people within the areas ruled by the PA and Hamas in Gaza have been indoctrinated such that few under the age of thirty or forty would stand for such and would immediately replace whoever from the PA agreed and this would decapitate the PA, PLO, Fatah and the entirety of PA run lands where these groups as well as Hamas and Islamic State would immediately vie for superiority and you would have instant Syria, just add a forced peace settlement. Very quickly allowing Israel to do whatever was required and to declare all the land as Israel would become acceptable even in the United Nations as such added violence in an area already steeped in violence and failed states, one more which could be handed off to Israel to handle, would almost immediately be handed to Israel with European and American blessings. Where this would result in all of Israel as promised by San Remo conference, Treaty of Serves and even after the White Papers and the United Nations failed partitioning which the Arab League flatly refused and invaded Israel immediately the first morning of her statehood and a series of failed peace plans including the disastrous Oslo Accords and Israel total unilateral withdrawal from Gaza, finally being established on all of the lands actually remaining as Israeli under existing international law. The reality of the River to the Sea is that it all actually belongs legally to Israel and only Israel can allow any other entity to establish any otherwise ordered autonomy. The PA exists by the good graces and permission of Israel and should that fail the lands resort to Israeli rule.

 

So, if the prodding of President Jimmy Carter and Dennis (I never met a peace plan I didn’t back that didn’t fail) Ross along with the internal Israeli coming dust-up over the legality and existence of Amona all presses President Obama to actually make a declaration recognizing anything more permanent and fixed concerning an Arab State within Israel, this will soon devolve, especially if borders are set or implied heavily enough, into a violent struggle to determine who gets to demand the annihilation of all the Jews in Israel leading to IDF intervention and very likely Europe demanding Israel take control of the situation before it spreads into Jordan and beyond. Even President Obama might be pressed but President Trump will definitively decide that the easiest solution is for Israel to annex Judea and Samaria and settle everything down restoring peace and replacing the indoctrination centers with actual schools teaching skills other than bomb making and stabbing 101. President Obama is fully aware of the reality which is why he will most likely let sleeping dogs lie rather than start a war on his way out, especially an unnecessary war.

 

Eventually somebody will have to realize that the actors on the Arab side of this equation have yet to keep a single promise, yet to meet a single requirement, yet to apply actual rule of law, yet to hold another election since electing Abbas dictator, yet to fulfill even the most rudimentary requirements for statehood, but have fully gone to great extremes to demand that they be credited with having completed every requirement to establish a state. The Arabs in Judea and Samaria have indoor plumbing throughout most of their communities installed and supplied by Israel, get the majority of their water, gas and electricity, if not all, from Israel and have yet to pay for any of it since the year 2000 and before, rely on Israel for security to keep the PA in power and prevent Hamas or Islamic State amongst others from conducting a coup (Israel has prevented at least half a dozen coup attempts by Hamas which the public has been made aware), rely on the cash in the millions per month to run their area the size of a midsized city as the majority of the international funding goes for two main products; bombs and weapons along with graft taking a large share right off the top, have never actually prevented any terror activities carried out by the PLO (they have prevented a few Hamas operations which have been classified as terror but could have been coup attempts and not attacks on Israel), when forced to incarcerate a terrorist they go in the front door to serve a multi-year sentence and are released through the back door in a couple of weeks if not days or even hours, and had one of the most disturbing displays of animal hatred and bloodletting when an Italian photojournalist caught the picture below with the story here, here, and finally here, plus they have seldom missed an opportunity to have invented and exaggerated stories of Israeli malfeasance such as Jenin, and we could go on and on.

Beyond the Cusp

 

Peace Farce Being Pushed Again

 

Mahmoud Abbas has been a busy beaver running to and fro pleading for anybody to press Israel and squeeze more concessions which he can gather for free and brag that he is the hero of the people. He has been pressing the French with a modicum of fruitfulness. He recently ran off to Cairo pestering President Sisi to also press for a renewal of a peace he will never accept. Abbas has no ability to accept anything less than the complete obliteration of the Jewish State, Israel, or as he refers to it, the Zionist Entity. Mahmoud Abbas has made it clear to the Arab world that he is aware that the only peace he will allow is for the replacement of Israel with an Arab state and the Jews liquidated. This is the only promise Abbas feels he need honor and any agreement with anyone else including the French, Sisi, the United States, The United Nations and any other entity are to be a ruse towards reaching the desired end of Israel and that is the only truth. But Sisi has enough on his plate and needed Abbas pressing like he needs a hole in his head. Possibly just to clear his plate of this annoyance or possibly in earnest desire to do what is right Sisi made a statement pressing for a restart of the “Peace Process.” Now the circus begins anew and Israel can only now attempt to mitigate this renewed threat taking as little damage as possible.

 

The immediate reaction to Sisi’s pressured request has been as expected. Mahmoud Abbas is delighted and immediately took to demanding that Israel prepare to restart the peace process and take the required steps to allow for the negotiations to begin. This is not what many will think it is as it is most definitely not a demand to schedule a meeting as that had been offered and on the table for the last sixty years if only the Palestinians desired peace rather than conquest. This desire for Israel to prepare for negotiations actually means for Israel to start making offers of concessions until Abbas decides which concessions he desires to accept and may even add a few suggestions of his own. He might even renew his demand that Israel permit a land connection between Gaza and Ramallah a mile wide across Israel as dividing the two Palestinian entities is unfair to any who have family in both sides. That such a grant would divide Israel in half separating the north from the south is, of course, of no consequence as only Abbas and the Palestinian desires to be considered valid and Israeli rights as secondary. That has been the basic rule of the game when the outside world intervenes and takes to pressing for progress, a word which has come to mean Israeli concessions and Abbas lies and deceptions accepted as progress.

 

But Abbas was not the only one pleased with this request. Another took full advantage of the ploy to pry concessions from Israel in a naked political maneuver hoping to gain advantage in any coming election at the potential cost of the safety of the nation. This advantage was pressed by the leader of the minority party leader, the Labor Party leader Yitzhak Herzog. This was of no surprise as Yitzhak Herzog has never missed any opportunity to direct pressures against the government and risks the safety of the Israeli public if he can make any political points. The real shame of Herzog and his jumping excitedly on this Abbas attack on Israel is made all the worse as the mood of the peoples of Israel as proven in the last election and has only deepened has been towards the Zionist and nationalist camp as well as becoming more religious. Herzog and his party are socialists and internationalist and has teamed up with Tzipi Livni and her party, which has all but collapsed, and in an attempt to mislead the public adopted the name “Zionist Union” despite being anything but Zionist and running claiming to be the peace party which could lead Israel and the Palestinian Entities, Hamas and Abbas’s Palestinian Authority, to a peace agreement and willing to make whatever painful sacrifice necessary for peace. Perhaps he is not aware that to make peace he would need to sacrifice the entire nation but if that is true then he is completely unaware of reality or is being deceitful, neither of which is a good qualification for leading the nation.

Then there is the French call for a peace conference to discuss the Israel Palestinian Peace Process where they have pressed for numerous countries to send representatives to make discussions as to what steps need to be explored for restarting the peace negotiations. It has been rumored that a number of Arab nations are sending representatives as well as many European nations, all of which are at best questionable in any list of friends of Israel. Further, the United States is debating having Secretary of State Kerry giving the French initiative the boost of their participation. There is one country which has been expressly not invited and will not be admitted even if they desired to join the confab, Israel. What devilish schemes are going to be considered that Israel is expressly excluded from a peace conference under the banner of making peace between the Arab world and Israel starting with the Palestinians where everybody is welcome except Israel? Israel should make it known that they will not be considering anything coming out of the French initiative without allowing the Israeli public and their representatives in the Knesset and the Prime Minister and his Cabinet have reviewed and seriously considered any and all consequences of the prospective solutions.

 

The one item which appears to have escaped everybody was the offers already made in the past which during the peace talks sponsored by President Clinton had been told by Yasser Arafat he would accept and after pressing Israeli Prime minister Ehud Barak to accept the night before. When President Clinton and Secretary of State Albright presented Arafat with the deal he had told President Clinton he would accept just twelve hours or so earlier, Arafat replied by stalking out of the talks refusing to return or make any further demands returning to Ramallah and starting the Second Intifada which murdered over a thousand Israelis and injured innumerably more. Since then there have been at least four more offers made which were comparable or even surpassing that deal and all have been refused out of hand. All included sharing Jerusalem between the two states as their Capital. All included ninety-five percent of Judea and Samaria with equal land swaps making up the remainder. All were thought by the United States to be sufficient to initially meet with their approval. All were rejected by Mahmoud Abbas as insufficient without so much as even a hint at what would be acceptable. All were then declared as failures by Israel to make sufficient sacrifice for peace by the media and all of Europe, the United Nations and even the formerly approving representatives of the United States.

Why Israel should even pretend to accept such overtures knowing that Abbas will never make peace and any agreement made Abbas demands that terror attacks be continued, demands for more sacrifices from Israel meaning giving up land that the Palestinians never resided on, knowing that in the Palestinian schools they teach the children that they are from cities and towns inside Israel and that they will return to their homes which in most cases never existed, and knowing that the world would gladly sacrifice Israel in the hope it would spare them future terrorist attacks, which is beyond any reasonable doubt as proven by past actions and statements. Why the world is even wasting time and effort would be beyond understanding except that it is the worst kept secret that they would sacrifice Israel for even the lie that it would protect them from future Islamic terror or subversive acts as part of a civilizational jihad. Israel need save the world from their own foolishness as the truth is that Israel is the stopper in the bottle between the Islamic world and Europe and the rest of the world. Israel may not prevent some incursions by terror but Israel does make such less likely as Israel by her existence is the first target on their list. Further, Israel provides the best intelligence by which some attacks are prevented though an attack prevented never makes any news and thus no news is good news. News of such might compromise the avenues by which the intelligence was acquired, thus no news is doubly good news as it allows for future times of no news being good news. Unfortunately, the aims of these peace initiatives are to make news which eventually will bring bad news as such news serves simply to aggravate the problems and agitate hidden terrorist potentials. The world would be better served by allowing direct negotiations to take place when the Arab leadership is willing to honestly approach a real peace and not just another attempt to destroy Israel first and Europe next. Pray that somebody somewhere comes to their senses and prevents more damage than has already been accomplished.

Israel Must Answer Threats and Enforce the Law

 

Israel is being challenged by what has been termed as the Third Intifada by Israelis and likely a fair to large percentage of Arabs and the Stabbing Intifada by the ever more descriptive and often more morbid Islamists Arabs who are supportive of the violence and actively support the drive to remove the Jews and replace Israel with their mythical state of Palestine. The Arab Palestinian Islamists take great pride and even a morbid fascination in how the world reacts to their violence and extremist demands along with their interactional unapologetic violence and instead of decrying their uncivilized threats to civilized societal behavior by threatening the lives of innocent civilians they decry any attempts to enforce the law or any other steps deemed necessary to protect the public such as adding checkpoints at all places where the public mass such as malls, theaters, bus stops, light rail spots, public functions and other place deemed as potential targets for the extreme terror assaults using knives, firearms, vehicles or potentially homicidal suicide bombers should Hamas suggestions for such attacks and additionally any following of the other Hamas suggestion of placing poison on their knife blades adding to their potential for lethality. Anywhere else on planet Earth which would face such a challenge to the public safety would be met with sympathy and understanding from the rest of the world and there would be unquestioned support for any and all steps used to restore civility and safety for all members of the society. The Israeli public, not just Jews, but the entirety of those living, working, studying or visiting Israel are in risk of being targeted by these horrific terror attacks. One hopes that there exists a silent plurality if not majority who are just as appalled and horrified by the assault on society which has been slowly escalating since immediately before the Jewish High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with much of the violence centered on the Temple Mount with the aim of denying the ability for Jews to ascend to visit the holiest place on Earth in the Jewish religion. From there the violence spread out beyond the central place in Jerusalem out across the remainder of Jerusalem and also out into the areas both within and outside the Green Line, thus so much for it being the “occupation” as some of the attacks occurred within the Tel Aviv metropolitan area and in the central northern Galilee. What has also been omitted from most of the media reporting we have seen from outside of Israel has been the nearly endless rock throwing at vehicles on the roads and highways in Judea and Samaria with many reaching back over numerous years numbering over a dozen but mostly not reported upon because the rock attacks became the definition for normal and thus were ignored by and large. Now the knifing attacks are attempting to follow the same path of becoming a commonplace part of life in Israel and thus not worthy of being reported as such things becoming normative.

 

There will be those who will claim that if Israel would simply give the Arabs their own state then everything would be just fine and the terrorist attacks would end. That worked so well when Israel pulled every last Jew and every troop, police and other presence from Gaza turning it over to Mahmoud Abbas and the Arab Palestinian Authority (PA) who almost immediately lost it in a coup to Hamas who has launched rocket offensives at a rate averaging of at least every other summer with the numbers of rockets per day in the hundreds and exceeding one thousand each week and once Israel responded by using the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) was immediately met with a drastic increase of rockets fired per day. This past summer if not for the miraculous precision of the Israeli developed anti-missile Iron Dome systems and at least one case of divine intervention (the story of how central Tel Aviv was rescued when the anti-missile system failed is worth a read) there would easily have been thousands if not tens of thousands of Israeli dead from the rocket barrages. Of course the one matter during Operation Protective Edge was all about the lack of dead Israelis, or as one media reporter asked allowing a slip of the tongue, lack of dead Jews, compared to the numbers of Arabs that Hamas managed to place in harm’s way by firing rockets from next to or even on top of shelters, schools, hospitals, clinics, residences and anywhere else which would cause damage to infrastructure and homes or place civilians in danger resulting in casualties not to mention the number of rockets Hamas and Islamic Jihad fired which never cleared the border striking instead within Gaza with one striking one of the Gaza Hospitals. If these actions by Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the other terror factions in Gaza act when the Jews and all other Israeli interests have been removed, why would anybody believe for a second that should Israel turn Judea and Samaria over to Abbas that he would not simply hand it over to Hamas or Islamic State as soon as either challenged his forces or that Abbas and friends would be any different. The real problem is Abbas has already promised to continue with the armed conflict, translates to murdering Jews, until all of his pretend Arab state of Palestine has been liberated, and by that he means all of Israel as depicted in the pictures below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The violence has been driven by incitement which has come from the very top of Fatah Party, the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) as well as from the PA itself including Mahmoud Abbas as in the video below where he refers to the “Jews Have No Right to Defile the Al Aqsa Mosque with Their Filthy Feet” despite knowing full well that no Jew has even approached the al-Aqsa Mosque with the possible exception of Israeli security forces though the majority of these police are Druze and other non-Jewish members of the force in order to avoid such confrontations. Abbas also praised the “men and women in rabat. We salute every drop of blood spilled for the sake of Jerusalem. This blood is clean, pure blood, shed for the sake of Allah.” Abbas continues saluting the martyrs and those a who were merely wounded and thus not achieving martyrdom before getting around to denouncing the Jews, but you can read and see it all for yourselves as we again give you the most quoted video of the past few weeks which relates to the instigation which is above and beyond the near constant incitement which permeates the entirety of Arab society in the PA through camps, schools, videos, music and virtually everywhere the youth can be reached and brainwashed. But first Chairman Abbas who heads virtually every organization from the PLO to Fatah to the PA and thus his words carry additional weight, or if not why is he then a partner worth negotiating with.

 

 

 

 

The PA had not been resting on their achievements as Abbas has been active speaking before a special session of UNESCO where he made great efforts to attempt to have the boundaries of the al-Aqsa Mosque increased from covering the entirety of the Temple Mount to have it cover all of the Old City of Jerusalem and specifically the Western Wall and Kotel Plaza where Jews gather to pray as close as they are able to be and still permitted prayer as any Jews ascending the Temple Mount is denied the right to pray and are always under constant observations to assure they do not even squint, close their eyes for more than a second or two or especially move their lips without making obvious conversation and should any Jew dare to pray they are arrested and barred from the Temple Mount for often a minimum of six months. UNESCO refuted the claim for al-Aqsa to include the Western Wall but did grant the coverage for much of the Old City though the definition will need to be granted before any definitive decisions can be stated as fact. Abbas then traveled for a special meeting of the Human Rights Council where he presented charges against Israel seeking their denunciation of Israel, an actual waste of time as they already perform this function regularly as if it was a tradition to be observed. He then pleaded with the United Nations to provide security forces to protect the PA Arabs from the Israeli persecution as it should be enforced that the Israeli security and law enforcement forces are not permitted to interfere with the attacks and murderous intents of Arab terrorists who should be free to do as they desire and murder more Jews without interference, after all, terrorists have feelings too and they deserve to be permitted to realize their aspirations. One wonders how they could ever become martyrs if the Israelis are barred from defending themselves or their enforcement personnel from applying the law throughout the land and protecting all the peoples from threats and attacks from those who are seeking martyrdom to serve Allah. Should the United Nations in their infinite mediocrity decide to actually send international troops to presumably defend the Arabs from some presumably racist squad of murderers who have been shooting innocent Arab men for no reason simply on the circumstantial evidence that they are holding a knife chasing after a bleeding person and blood dripping from their raised knife; what else could be more demanding than for the United Nations to provide troops to protect that person carrying and running with a bloodied blade, after all they might trip and stab themselves as well as any Israeli they can catch. Perhaps Abbas should go straight to the Arab and Muslim world and request they send such troops to protect the right of Arabs to murder freely and bring pride to their family who might have received more money and greater pride had they tripped and fatally wounded themselves making themselves martyrs.

The fear is that the United Nations might take a vote in the General Assembly which would readily pass a resolution approving for any United Nations countries wishing to assist with the keeping of order that protects and defends the Arab rights to pursue their privilege of special recognition within the society and secure their families receive the generous rewards given the most valued family members of those who attain status as shahids. What could be any more obvious that the Arabs must be permitted to become shahids if they so choose as it is the right of every Arab both in the PA controlled territories, Jerusalem, Gaza, Judea, Samaria and even within Green Line Israel to reach for the greatest privilege and respect which a family and individual receive when one achieves the status as a shahids, a martyr in the plain and course languages such as English. What happens when some of these potential shahids find out that the only path open to achieve this respected place of privilege is to attack the protection force placing them in a position where they must defend themselves against such attacks and resort to shooting these attackers granting them their wish to become shahids? We can tell you what will happen. The United Nations approved troops will become the new enforcers of the peace. Maybe it is for the best that the Israelis would never allow these troops entry and the General Assembly does not have the power of binding resolution such that as soon as any member nation declines the resolution from the General Assembly the resolution loses all power and is made null and void, very much like when the Arab League refused to accept United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181 from November 29, 1947 which called for the partition of the lands from the British Mandate west of the Jordan River to form an Arab and Jewish States but the Arabs preferred to attack the nascent Jewish State in an attempt at genocidally removing it from the map on its first day of life. After that idea failed, as did two more attempts to push the Jews into the sea, the Arabs have put forth that they should be permitted to reverse their decision to refuse Resolution 181 and have it enacted today over a half a century later after their decision to reject it actually permanently nullified the resolution making it null and void. Live and learn and watch as the idea of imposing United Nations troops anywhere within the lands under Israeli protection, which is all of the land west of Jordan, and they are not even permitted to exit their plane or cross the Allenby Bridge, whichever route they use to attempt entry, and that should about close the deal right there. Chalk up another failure of either Abbas, the United Nations, or conceivably both.
