The Eventual, Irresistible, Unstoppable and Inevitable Liberal Society

The last election, which pitted two unsavory and undesirable candidates as the major party candidates for President of the United States, became a test of philosophies. What we learned was that the United States is relatively evenly divided between elitist and leftists on one side and the unwashed and presumed lowbrowed on the other side. One group lives in the large metropolises and the other in rural farmlands and the lesser cities and towns. The future of the United States is written in the flow of people and the surges about to be made in automation making ever more of the society run eventually completely by machines from concept through manufacture, distribution and finally sales. Amazon is one side of this new form of retail from warehouse to your door free of any middleman and with the latest in automated delivery systems. The greatest automation of the past two centuries has been in farming such that today a single farmer produces and farms an area of land which took almost a thousand farmers a mere and short two-hundred years ago at the turn of the eighteenth century. This sent the initial wave of people from working the land to working in a city and these became the megalopolises of the world today. The current political battle can be seen as a struggle between the major cities and those who remember a time where things were simple and everyone needed to have a certain level of self-reliance. All of this is what is changing and what all the fuss is about and there is going to be a winner between these two different societies.

First, allow us to paint a simple picture which explains the difference between these two groups, a horrible oversimplified picture. One group not only knows how and is capable of the following tasks, but they more often than not actually perform these tasks. They change their own flat tires and many can even repair the tire if the damage is from a nail or other type puncture and not a tear in the sidewall which means the tire is scrap. They can perform a tune-up on their vehicle as it is older and does not have all the fancy computer controls. They change their own oil, repair shutters from wind damage, can rehang a door with a friend, can build a deck or storage shed, and mow their own lawns. Those on a farm can repair many of their pieces of equipment on the fly either to complete the job or to at least get them back to the barn for repair. They can perform many simple and some not as simple plumbing repairs and are the people you can find early on a Saturday or Sunday morning at the local building supply store with a pickup truck or car and trailer loading up supplies for their latest project around their or their friend’s home. This is the group who are mostly self-reliant.

Opposites

The other group resides in the city or suburbs and have a handyman they can call to make simple repairs around the home. If they have a flat tire, they call for a tow truck or service advised by their auto insurance company to come and change their tire. They go to a service station or oil and lube service when they require an oil change. For a tune-up they go to a specialty shop or their dealership. When the vehicle breaks down such as will not start, they have the vehicle towed to the dealership. If they need a deck or storage shed built, they call a few contractors to get bids and then decide which one they trust the most to do the job for the estimated price. These people are not self reliant and their own ability might be sufficient to find and reset a tripped breaker in their junction box, provided they know where the junction box is located. They probably do not mow their own lawn and have a service which weeds, fertilizes and mows their yard for them. If they reside where snow is a problem, they have a service to clear their driveway and walkways when it snows. They cannot even hire a neighborhood youth to clear the snow as used to be the case as such things have been regulated all but completely out of any possibility. They live in an area where self-reliance is often made illegal by a homeowners association which demands you keep up your property but often demand you hire someone reliable and licensed and will punish those attempting to do the work themselves. Others reside in apartment buildings in their condo and have building maintenance fees to cover building maintenance.

The world over their has been and will continue to be a ceaseless flow of people from the rural areas and small towns to ever larger cities. This migration will eventually lead to next to nobody residing outside the major metropolitan areas. We already have spoken about the future where robots and artificial intelligence (AI) will have taken over almost all the jobs with only those humans who desire work actually being employed. There will be a core of people who will be required until some future where the AIs are capable of matching human minds to a very high extent. The reason human beings will always be required for certain positions will be due to the fact that humans are capable of making leaps of logic finding solutions which are not necessarily reached through step-by-step logic, or as a friend puts it, human beings can take fact A and fact B and then come to a new fact Z without any steps or obvious logic. The word most often used is that human beings have intuition, a way and form of solving problems which defies scientific explanations but manages to function despite no actual logical means. What is nice to know is that there will always be a need for the most illogical of all things, human beings who often will need to be placed in control or at least in a position which makes them above question by their AI coworkers.

This flow of people is such that the masses will be residing in megalopolises and very few will be needed to reside in rural regions. Farm equipment will run huge corporate farms using full automation, GPS positioning, satellite monitoring, fertilizer with irrigation computer regulated and minimal need for any human intervention with crops being planted, raised and harvested with full automation. With more people residing in the largest cities and the need, due to limited land space, to maximize population density placing much of the population living in high-rise apartment buildings, the numbers of the old variety self-reliant people will naturally decline. As people become more dependent on specialists and others to perform repairs and other services, the more they will also become dependent upon government and the more they will expect and demand from government. This will lead to people electing leaders who promise to provide them with the most amount of assistance with their lives. There is one more factor which will lead to these changes coming to pass, the current education system. The public schools currently are teaching their students to expect government to care for their requirements and needs. They are not teaching some of the most necessary lessons which might tie their students with the kind of self-reliance expounded by the Founding Fathers. They no longer teach civics, traditional American and world history or the Founding Documents of the United States. Their students are not introduced to the Constitution, Bill of Rights, or especially the Declaration of Independence. Instead, students are taught the entire socialist agenda where everyone must be made equal with government redistributing wealth, providing security and performing almost every needful comfort and function of life. Today the student is taught dependence and little in the way of critical thinking.

Those of us who are of sufficient age, we have already seen this slide to the left by the entirety of the developed world and their societies. The Republicans today are holding the positions very similar to the Democrat Party of the 1950’s and 1960’s. The Democrats, at least, are treading in new territory well to the left of their former selves. Roseanne Barr responded during a Jimmy Kimmel interview about her having been a liberal by stating that she’s “still the same” socially liberal person she always has been, telling Kimmel that “you all went so f—king far” to the left that “you lost everyone.” See video below for the quote at the more interesting repartee around 2:45 in the recording.

Perhaps having Roseanne Barr backing one side it is time to just let things stand. There will be some times when the people will say, slow down, let us not change so quickly and take a breather and think about things for a while. That might be what the Trump election was, a call for things to slow down as people were having difficulty keeping up with all the changes made during the Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama and desired a pause to straighten things out and make whatever adjustments might be required. The slide leftward will continue as the people become more addicted and dependent upon the government. Also the federal government will slowly eclipse the state governments taking power and responsibility from them making them simply the training league for future Federal office holders. What will be the next big wrinkle will be the usurping of power by international governance. The leader in this is the European Union which has been taking away the independence and powers from the individual member governments. This too hit a snag with BREXIT and the British deciding to pull out from the European Union for the moment. Expect Britain to return in time going crawling back to the European Union. Eventually, there will be world governance which eventually will become the power center of the planet. The best hope is by that time the AI will be those in charge of governing and the people retired from holding such power. Potentially, the AIs will be the first where power, even absolute power, does not corrupt partially and especially not absolutely. The future will be interesting and socialism will be the future in some form but there will be a capitalist venture system with entrepreneurs and those who wish to explore their abilities and chase the golden ring hoping to grab ahold. Let us hope we live to see a hopefully glorious future where humanity finally rids the world of want, hunger and poverty.

The Destruction of Civility

Some cynics I know whose idea of civility is simply saying, “Who cares,” claim that civility is overrated and not really required in the world today. Our thought when hearing this is that we have a question we silently pass over in our minds of whether civilization is necessary in these people’s world or is that too overrated and not really required in the world today. We believe that civility is a prerequisite for civilization for without the cooperation and polite exchange of ideas, civilization ends up in tatters and will not function. The United States and much of the world are heading for a collapse of their common civilization which in the end will be traced by those who come along to study the failings of Western Civilization will conclude that first there was a breakdown in civility which was instrumental in the downfall of the civilization. There will likely be many theories on what drove the people to such a point that they no longer could find any common ground and to totally dismiss one another leading to total societal dysfunction and dissolution breaking the civilization down. The common theme will likely include the breakdown in communication where the various divisions in the society would refuse to accept any contrary view demanding that only they have the right path and because they know they are correct, they never need to tolerate the idiots on the other side or who hold contrary opinions.

In the United States, the lack of civility is so obvious that it has caused people to actually unfriend people on Facebook and other social networks banning receiving any posts from these former online friends. Europe has suffered from varying degrees of political poisoned discourse where political differences would lead to uncivil behavior between groups. What is even more worth noting is that some of this behavior can occur between groups whose politics appear to be of the same ilk, either left or right, nationalist or universalist, libertarian or authoritarianism or other definitions of political thought where two parties fall into the same general definition yet go after one another as if they were opposing adversaries having disagreements over near everything, not over slight differences. The levels of incivility in politics has reached levels not seen since probably the 1860’s and the slavery abolition movement. According to Wikipedia, covering political incivility, “Eight out of 10 Americans believe that the lack of civil discourse in the political system is a serious problem. Eighty-two percent of American respondents to a 2011 survey felt that political advertisements were too “nasty” and 72 percent believed that political commercials that attacked the opponent were “inappropriate”.” The levels and amount of political and public incivility have become even more overblown and in some ways appear to be cracking the very fabric of the society. When marriages have broken up over the spouses having voted for opposing candidates in the last Presidential elections, business partners have dissolved their businesses in order to go their separate ways after their disagreements in the last election, and family members have declared other members of their families dead to them over their votes in the last election are all signs of excessive dysfunction and an excessively high level of incivility to points where it could easily become harmful to the society itself. Such fracturing in a society has to be something very dangerous and destructive which could lead to a societal breakdown or a breakdown of the political system.

Either societal or political fractures are of such destructive capabilities that either can lead to the destruction of any nation no matter its size or presumed sophistication. The United States is one nation to have survived the ultimate fracturing of their nation which resulted in their Civil War. The recovery from that division and war took a great deal of effort and time but was facilitated by an eventual forgiveness between the two sides and the coming industrial revolution which massively altered the face of the society and the need for slaves to work on the plantation farms. They were replaced by tractors and harvesting machinery which replaced manpower. America had entered the age of machines and she never looked back. Now their society is facing new threats where the two sides in the political front have drifted so far apart that there appears to be no common ground. Politics is dependent upon there existing neutral ground where the two opposing parties can meet when designing and passing legislation and keeping the government functioning. When the two separate sides, be they a ruling coalition and the opposition as in much of Europe or the two main parties as in the United States, there need be some area where the opposing sides can meet finding common ground for the common good of the nation. But when the two sides feel that they must oppose everything from the other side no matter what because their voters refuse to admit there can be any agreements, then the attitude is poisonous enough to cause a complete breakdown of function by the government. All which would be required to bring such a government into collapse or bring a coalition to calling for a new set of election is for a few members of the majority to fall out of line and join the opposing side ending any majority.

Civility

Civility

This is partially what President Trump has been facing with the ‘Never Trump’ Republicans throwing the Senate completely beyond any ability to accomplish anything meaningful. When one political party is voting as a block against every effort and a sector of the majority party have decided to support the minority party, such a situation easily would lead to what appears to be a virtual coup. But the problems in Washington D.C. are a small part of the problem which could be resolved by the midterm elections, especially if President Trump can gain support in the Senate against historic records. But the political split which is so severe in the United States is also echoed in the public. The split in the United States is easily defined, the people on the coasts and living in the major cities and the more rural citizens and those in smaller cities and towns. The split also is between those who are religious attending church or synagogue and those who are secularists. This might be another reason why the two sides are so far apart and cannot find anything in common. One can only guess whether the split will heal or if one side of the political split will become preeminent and eclipse the other side. We anticipate that the arguments currently invigorating the United States may subside once one side prevails. The one thing we can likely guarantee is this conflict will continue throughout the entire Presidency of Donald Trump and possibly beyond should President Trump be reelected and Vice President Pence follow him into office. We can see the eventuality of the Republican moving even further to the left while their base moves further to the right which will destroy the party. Once such becomes apparent, then the Democrats will begin to win every election as why vote for the Republican if they represent pretend Democrats when you can elect a real Democrat. Eventually the former and now disgruntled Republicans and the remnants who remain truly conservative establish a new party, the Republicans will merge with the Democrats and a new split will appear, but this may be too late to prevent the United States becoming exactly the same as the European nations which will be the end of the Western World as they will no longer have any military to protect them. Without the United States military, the West will collapse and fall to whoever decides to take them over and that will be the death of democratic governance.

No, We Have Not Lost Our Trust in the FBI or America, Yet

Representative Adam Schiff suggested Sunday, talking to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, that the GOP-crafted memo released Friday could lead to an Oklahoma City-style bombing because people will have lost trust in the FBI. His incredulous claim was if one witnesses their neighbor buying excessive amounts of fertilizer, yet has no lawn, they would hesitate from calling this in to the FBI out of fear that the Congress would release their name for political reasons making you a target. Fear tactics, we have always loved it when any political argument falls to straight fear tactics, the last argument of the scoundrel. The Democrats are running around pretending that the Constitutional release of information to the people by the Congress and approved by the President has irreparably harmed the safety of the nation. We find this almost amusing after the Democrats slow leaking of information from the very same FBI and DOJ investigations throughout the campaign and usage of these agencies’ highest officials to massage and manipulate information to allow Hillary Clinton avoid prosecution for treasonous acts of playing fast and loose with secret, Top Secret and even higher classified letters, memos and investigative reports on her “personal mail server” which she used to avoid any ability for any investigation to look into her actions while she was Secretary of State and from which she lost or misplaced many thousands of e-mails, many of which were found on other personal computers and communications equipment such as Anthony Weiner’s notebook which he shared with his wife, Huma Abedin, long time Hillary confidant and close friend as well as appointed to a high position aiding Ms. Clinton as Secretary of State. Their complaining falls on deaf ears after the interference of Attorney General, Loretta E. Lynch, in the investigation on Hillary Clinton’s behalf after her meeting serendipitously with former President William Jefferson Clinton on his private jet on the tarmac of Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, Arizona, on June 26, 2016, while the FBI investigation concerning Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server was still underway.

The leaks and misinformation and secretive meetings surrounding the questionable lack of calling for an indictment of Hillary Clinton which astonished many observers even including some Democrats and was but half of the story. The leaks concerning the Russia probe into their interference presumably to throw the election to Donald Trump were intentionally damaging and completely illegal, not legal and above board as was this document release. The near constant dribs and drabs of presumably damning information proving coercion and influence of the election by the Russian government presumably at the behest of Donald Trump continued with new updates coming out weekly, then twice weekly and by election week the revelations were almost twice daily. Fortunately, most of the leaks were unlikely to cause any damage to the Trump campaign, as they were either inconsequential or concerned items which threw more doubt on Hillary than they did Donald Trump. What has been learned since the election through reckless leaking of information by largely Democrat and Hillary and Bill Clinton functionaries has raised doubts about Hillary Clinton and her time as Secretary of State, her and Bill’s parts in what appeared to be a donate to their charity in order to influence Hillary as Secretary of State and gain influence on President Obama. And as far as the collusion with the Russians, that now appears to have been part of the Hillary Clinton campaign as well as funded and arrange by the Democrat National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta. There is the Steele dossier arranged by the investigative agency ‎Fusion GPS who were hired to dig up dirt about Donald Trump and his dealings with the Russians and their undo influence over Donald Trump concerning questionable actions which the Russians could hold over him. The entire mess was all too contrived and manipulated to be believable and had little if any influence on the election except to hurt Hillary Clinton and to bankrupt the Democrat National Committee as well as Hillary’s campaign. In the end, all these nefarious efforts are coming home to roost and perhaps in the end Hillary Clinton will get what so many believe she deserves, an orange pantsuit, actually more of a jumpsuit, and some nice accommodations at a Club Fed facility for the politically connected.

Club Fed or Club Med?

Club Fed or Club Med?

As far as Americans losing faith in the FBI or in America herself, not even close. Americans, especially after the recent State of the Union Address given by President Trump, are more invigorated and have more faith in the possibilities for their futures than any time in the past decade; well, unless they are a Democrat in the Congress who were obviously very dour and dejected. But there are some things being circulated in some circles which are anything but true. The first is that President Trump now has the Republican Party backing him. A Republican source has stated, “Mitt becoming Senator Mitt Romney and chairman of the NRSC elevates Trump’s biggest intra-party foe. This is not the outcome Trump wanted when he encouraged Hatch to run again.” He also noted that it would elevate Romney’s stature as an anti-Trump colleague within the party. Why would a Party presumably now in line with the President be elevating a credible alternate candidate into a position from which he could challenge Donald Trump in the next election primaries? The answer is obvious, the elite in the Republican Party still desire replacing Donald Trump as soon as the opportunity presents itself. The question then becomes, what if these elites succeed and manage to place Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio or any of their other favorite sons onto the ticket in the 2020 elections?

The result of such a coup in the Republican Party will be a complete turn around from the election of President Trump. One item which has not been discussed very much is why was the media so assured that Hillary Clinton would win and why was the Clinton campaign nonchalant about even bothering to campaign in places such as Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and the remainder of the so-called battleground states and instead spent all her time basking away before cooing crowds in New York and California where she was guaranteed large adoring crowds and easy victories. The campaigning answer is she was attempting to appear confident and as a winner with the adoring crowds arranged for her and as far as also the media, the fix was in, sufficient votes had been fixed where necessary and Hillary Clinton had the necessary votes to defeat Donald Trump assuming he got the votes they believed he deserved. Do not believe that Donald Trump lost the popular vote, at least not the actual popular vote, as he had to win and win so big that all their vote stealing and other cheats were not sufficient to prevent his victory. As far as malfeasance and mishandling of vote tallies, all one need do is research the accusations and actual findings which are always minimized by the guilty party and as very seldom does an election turn out so close that there results challenges and hand counts which often have varying results on each recount. The Bush-Gore Florida fiasco was a perfect example of the mess that comes when the actual votes are to be tallied and even then, there are games played such as divining who someone actually desired voting for when there was no vote in the Presidential boxes and other shenanigans. It is an unfortunate thing when a nation gets to the point where the omnipresent main parties have so rigged the election games that they remain relatively unchallenged and can even alter the results of elections.

So, what will happen should the Republican Party use the primaries and the alignment of the Super Delegates and other contrivances in order to remove Donald Trump and replace him with a mainstream Republican in good standing with the progressive elites who believe it is their fishbowl and they can control who is permitted to play in it? The people who elected Donald Trump will become disenchanted and very likely remain home and some may even decide that the Democrat Party candidate is less offensive than the candidate the Republican elite selected. Such an eventuality will prove to be an extreme disaster for the United States as should the Democrat Party ever get sufficient power in both the Congress and holding the White House and have sufficient State governments to pass an amendment to the Constitution despite any opposition, then we can expect some dire changes to occur. They might do away with the Electoral College and replace it with a straight popular vote for the electing of a President. People claim that such changes to the Constitution are impossible yet back in 1913 the Progressives won sufficient power throughout the nation that they changed how Senators were chosen making it a popular vote instead of allowing the State legislatures or Governors or some combination where each State chose how to select their Senator with the Amendment XVII. This made the Senate a smaller version of the House of Representatives and permitted the Federal Government to literally walk all over the States Rights, which had been protected through their selection of Senators to represent each state. The Constitution initially made the two houses of Congress for two entirely separate duties. The House of Representatives was to be the people’s house and the Senate was to be the States representatives. The Seventeenth Amendment ended that and turned the Senate into simply another popular people’s representative leaving the states powerless to prevent the Federal Government from usurping their power. It was the year 1913 with the two presumably ratified Amendments, numbers XVI and XVII, the income tax power for the Federal Government, as before 1913 there was no direct Federal Tax on the people, and the direct electing of Senators. Now the Federal Government had complete power over the individual states, began usurping all power to Washington D.C., and used the income tax in order to bring all finances to Washington D.C. This was the point where the Deep State began to take shape and it would take the repeal of the two Amendments, Sixteen and Seventeen, to bring sanity back to the government and permit the states some semblance of their power back with which they would hopefully whittle the size of the Federal Government back down to where it was almost harmless.

Another result if the Republicans deserted their base by replacing Donald Trump on the ticket by whatever means, no matter how proper and natural such was performed, this would lead to a Democrat taking the White House. With the now seeming complete power which has been consolidated in the Presidency, initially by every President since Washington but rapidly accelerated by President George W. Bush after 9-11 and then by President Obama to get all of Obamacare into law and amended as he saw necessary; the Royal Presidency has been furthered by Donald Trump in order to undo much of the illegal items done by fiat by President Obama. President Trump has simply validated much of the powers usurped by the former Presidents and possibly even added to them himself. The Presidency has been granted power to accomplish desired goals almost through pure will of the individual holding the office. Such power is defined as accomplishing the desired goals by fiat all but challenging the Congress to stop the President. The problem there is the Congress had grown lazy and no longer even wields the powers which remain within their purview. No longer does the Congress write the laws, they simply define that which they desire, the President signs off on such legislation, and then the departments are assigned their sections of the legislation to write the particulars, which are the regulations. These regulations have replaced what used to be laws. Congress used to define the goals and the means for accomplishing such goals and every specific step required. Now it is the Deep State that spells out the specifics after Congress has given them a general gist of their ideas. No longer are the people’s representatives responsible for the enacted implementation of the laws and thus they do not even know what their legislation has wrought. They will campaign using glorious sounding words telling about the legislation and what it is designed to accomplish when they have no idea what it actually will accomplish because they did not write how the legislations was to be implemented. This is the Deep State which President Trump desires unraveling such that the government can be returned to the people. President Trump does not agree with the lazy Congress and desired making the legislators actually write the codes of each piece of legislation and not passing off to unelected bureaucrats to enact the often-onerous regulations which supposedly derive from the Congressional direction in each piece of legislation. The Republican Party along with their allies in the Democrat Party do not desire that Congress actually work at their jobs as they see their jobs as being the social calendar and the reelection efforts. It is uncertain which they place first. The members of Congress, for the most part, simply desire to pass high-sounding legislation and not get their hands dirty working out the minutia. They leave that tedium to the Deep State of bureaucrats who often decide how much control they can grab and claim it fits the spirit of the legislation. This is the evil of the Deep State. This is something the progressives have wrought and the sad truth is that both parties are run by progressives. They love big government because that permits them to have control of the people and for the most part the people are too busy simply trying to survive the mess made by the Deep State to actually realize they are being had. The reason that even the Republicans desire the end to President Donald Trump is simple, he is not one of them and he is actually working for the people, the unwashed masses with whom the powerful in Washington D.C. prefer not to have to deal with. That is the sad truth and once President Trump leaves office, that may be the beginning of the end of the United States of America and, if we be permitted to slightly alter a great quote from Abraham Lincoln, this will be the end of the “Government of the people, by the people, for the people,” shall now perish from the Earth. We changed one letter of one word, we changed a ‘t’ to a ‘w’ making ‘not; into ‘now’ and that makes all the difference.
