The savagely and horrifically butchered Jewish Rabbis murdered in their Jerusalem Synagogue in the midst of morning prayers resulted in wild and joyous Palestinian revelry replete with the handing of candy to the children and sermons from Imams praising and lauding their heroic martyrs with political and religious leadership calling for more acts of such violence on Twitter, on Facebook, in religious services, in schools, on giant murals with the faces of the cousins who committed these savage acts and across all forms of media. The tepid denunciation given by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas resulted from direct pressure from United States Secretary of State Kerry and was drowned out by all the reverie and elative celebrations in the streets of Judea, Samaria (West Bank) and Gaza. Then there was the reaction from United States President Obama who after meekly referring to the terrorist slaughter of holy men in a house of worship with the following statement, “I strongly condemn today’s terrorist attack on worshipers at a synagogue in Jerusalem, which killed four innocent people, including U.S. citizens Aryeh Kupinsky, Cary William Levine, and Mosheh Twersky, and injured several more. There is and can be no justification for such attacks against innocent civilians. The thoughts and prayers of the American people are with the victims and families of all those who were killed and injured in this horrific attack and in other recent violence. At this sensitive moment in Jerusalem, it is all the more important for Israeli and Palestinian leaders and ordinary citizens to work cooperatively together to lower tensions, reject violence, and seek a path forward towards peace.” Did this oral equivalence of a stock announcement lacking any moral indignation or revulsion by President Obama really end warning and calling for, of all things, in his own words, “more important for Israeli and Palestinian leaders and ordinary citizens to work cooperatively together to lower tensions, reject violence and seek a path forward towards peace.”

Then there were the mainstream media reports of these absolutely detestable, abhorrent, gruesome and vile slaughters of four Rabbis in their Synagogue in the middle of their Orthodox Jewish neighborhood in West Jerusalem and nowhere near the so-called ‘occupied lands’ which either worded their report in such a manner as to imply these murders and the injuries, many so severe there may be others who will succumb to these acts of terror, as being understandable and possibly deserved. One report in the mainstream media of one European nation actually used the lead-in to their commentary stating that Israeli police killed two Palestinians in a gun battle and only well into their coverage did they manage to include there had been a terror attack committed by the two Israeli Arabs who died resisting arrest, something they likely had decided they would do in order to cement their status and shahids. Almost every report mislabeled the two terrorists as Palestinians ignoring the fact that they came from East Jerusalem and were Israeli citizens, as are all who live in East Jerusalem. When Israel annexed East Jerusalem they granted those Arabs residing to receive Israeli citizenship as was considered proper and decent handling of the people whose homes were now considered to be within Israeli borders. One of the consistent Western politicians complaints is that Israel would need to grant the entirety of the Palestinian residents citizenship if they annexed any of Judea, Samaria or Gaza, which is exactly what Israel did when they annexed East Jerusalem restoring wholeness to their capital city and also to those living in the Golan Heights which Israel has also annexed. Probably the most insensitive act was committed by the Spanish Parliament which held their vote and passed recognition of Palestine within hours after the news of the savagery committed in the Jerusalem synagogue.

These actions, statements and media coverage by the Western World has proven to any rational and sane observer to have proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that Israel has been deserted and become a pariah amongst the nations and no longer can expect any fair and levelheaded treatment, judgment, considerations or interactions for the foreseeable future with the exception of Canada and the small minority who have proven by their past support to be capable of equitable treatment. What Israel must now consider is what actions are warranted and develop sufficiently thick skin and begin to turn a deaf ear to those who have proven their inability to think objectively when Israel and her foes in the Arab and Muslim worlds including and especially when it concerns the people invented by the Russian intelligence agencies, the ‘Palestinians’. So, that brings us to the question of what exactly are the causes behind these terrorist actions and is there any way to prevent them or what deterrent could be enacted which would make the price for any act of terror against Israeli civilians so dear and severe that the Palestinian leadership and Imams no longer glorify terrorism and martyrdom attacks.

The first thing which must be made clear is that the incitement which causes these murderous terrorist acts refers to the intended victims by a select set of terminology which also is informative. In the incitements they call for the murder of ‘settlers’, ‘Zionists’ or ‘Jews’ but seldom is the identity of the targets for terror referred to as ‘Israelis’. This is not a war over land, water, self-governing or any of the pretenses which the world has decided have to be the valid and sole categories which drives terrorism as these are ideas the Western minds can handle and they refuse to view these acts truthfully for what they represent. This is a war of ideologies, of religions, of the means to fulfill the prophesies of the Quran and the Hadiths. The driving impetus behind most of the actual acts of terror and definitely behind the impetus for the incitement which nurtures the societal elevation of those who die and thus receive eternal life as they have exalted themselves into martyrs, into shahids are religious and presents the murdering of Jews is an act of great honor by the Quran and dying while committing such acts guarantees one’s acceptance to heaven where they receive great gifts and servile women. This is a war to prove that Allah is greater than Hashem, that the god of Abraham, Ishmael and Muhammad is greater and the only true deity and rules over the G0d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and thus the Muslims will defeat the Jews and such is inevitable because Allah wills this and has set the eradication of the Jews as one of the steps to world domination. No amount of land that leaves even a shred of Israel and any Jews inhabiting the entirety of the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea will satisfy the bloodlust and religious fervor which drives their terrorism and satisfies the demands for vengeance in the name of Allah their Imams fill within their sermons. In the charter of Hamas it calls for the eradication of Israel and of all Jews anywhere in the world and the establishment of a caliphate which will rule over a Muslim world. Fatah only wishes to eradicate Israel.

So, what could Israel do which would possibly have the effect of ending the incitement or at a minimum reduce the quantity of such incitement, especially in the schools and in children’s programs. While giving the Palestinians land would have little if any effect on the war, permanently annexing lands inside of Israel thus expanding her borders would have severe ramifications as such an action would restate that the Jewish People and the Jewish State not only stay here but it expects to grow and fill all of the land with even more Jews as well as Christians and other religions even to include Islam. Perhaps a sliding scale with even a terror attempt which had failed triggers the annexing of a quarter of a square kilometer all the way up to five square kilometers for each fatality caused by any act of terror might dissuade the instigators from pursuing further horrors. After annexing a full square kilometer for every four rocks which are thrown at vehicles it might actually spawn attempts to curb the calls for such attacks as the cost would be very steep for minimal effect and damage. The total area of Judea and Samaria which the Palestinians reside is 5,860 square kilometers which would rapidly shrink unless there was a change in the programs reducing much of the incitement and glorification resulting in a reduction of the violence. Such a program would need to be announced and implemented without even a shred of timidity. It should also move anybody whose family was ever found to have a connection to terror outside the altered borders to a sufficient distance to avoid a repeat of relocating them too quickly in the future. If this placing a cost for terrorism on the Palestinian lands results in Israel acquiring all of Judea and Samaria, then that is where it will lead and it will have removed the terrorists from that land making it safer and will provide Israel with the defensible borders she actually needs and resolves the peace process. Should Mahmoud Abbas or Hamas leaders be responsible for allowing the terrorism to continue, this form of punishment will eventually, and more likely quite quickly, resolve the problem and Israel will have incorporated the Arabs of Judea and Samaria who were not part of the terrorist structure, a laudable goal if ever there was such out of the morass which the peace process has produced.

Predicting Next Arab Incitement, Just Listen to Their Accusations

If you want to know what the Palestinian leadership has in the planning stage, all one need do is listen to what they are claiming Israel is doing to them. It pretty much is that simple. The occasional exception comes when there actually is a lone wolf perpetrating an original act of terrorism which they will then in turn call for others to also act in kind. The latest example of this came when a Hamas member ran down people waiting at a light rail station. The very next day Mahmoud Abbas and other Fatah along with Hamas leadership called for more terrorist strikes by running people over with cars and there was a second similar attack that day. The latest invective came from Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, via Twitter where in a series of tweets he threatened Israel as he claimed in one tweet, “This barbaric, wolflike & infanticidal regime of #Israel which spares no crime has no cure but to be annihilated.” And in another tweet he called for the arming of every Palestinian because of, as he tweeted, “The only means to confront a barbaric regime like #Israel is arming West Bank.”

As the Iranian leader continued he accused Israel of murdering Arafat in the tweet that claimed, “We’ve seen 100s of times that #Israel doesn’t abide by #peace. They didn’t even tolerate Arafat who cooperated w/them & poisoned him to death.” Then Ayatollah Khamenei got to the point where he actually signaled Iranian intentions to include Abbas and the West Bank Palestinians as an additional arm of the Iranian terror machine in a tweet reading, “#West Bank should be armed just like #Gaza. Friends of Palestine should do their best to arm People in West Bank.” This is simply a more official statement by the Iranian leadership laying down their idea of a moral defense for the arming of the Palestinians in the Palestinian Authority, Fatah and other terrorists operating in Judea and Samaria, or as he refers to them using a Jordanian invention, West Bank, to be armed which now the Iranians will take upon themselves to so arm the Palestinian terror forces as they have the Gazan forces of Hamas and Islamic Jihad. This will hopefully be taken by Israeli security forces as a warning of things to come and will strengthen their border personnel who are responsible for surveillance and interdiction of smuggling of arms across the borders into Judea and Samaria.

The probable intentions of the Iranians is to transform Judea and Samaria into a heightened and more armed terrorist state which will drive the Israelis out of any places beyond the Green Line, the armistice lines from the 1948-9 war to annihilate the new state of Israel which failed despite the forces from a half-dozen or so nation’s armies attacking the nascent state of Israel the very day of her founding. These threats were also the anticipated response to the recent news reports that United States President Obama had written a letter to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei offering him a more general acceptance for granting Iran a sweeter nuclear deal in exchange for their active participation in the efforts against ISIS in Iraq. This was simply a sign of the lack of cooperation the United States could expect claiming that Iran would assist the United States efforts by doing only those acts which would expand Iranian influence and hegemony in the Middle East.

Part of this defiant Iranian message may be a negative response to the advances of President Obama; it is also a bald-faced and open threat to Israel and must be taken only as such by the Israelis. Israel shares little concern for the half-hearted support being given to the forces fighting ISIS though any support for those opposing ISIS is a step in the right direction. Israeli attentions and concerns must remain for now somewhat closer to home as these were not idle Iranian threats. It has been a known fact that Mahmoud Abbas was jealous of the aid and training offered by the Iranians to the Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorist forces in Gaza and wantonly desired the same deal for arming for his own terrorist forces, such as the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, in the West Bank. Now it appears that Abbas has gotten his wishes fulfilled at the price of now joining the other terror forces allied against Israel and under Iranian control, the price for the arms and other support from Iran. Nothing comes free of strings attached and arming the Palestinians of the West Bank, who are actively fighting Israel, is no exception and now Abbas will need to accustom himself for taking orders on when to attack and how to attack Israelis or their interests as well as when they are free to launch major offensives which intensify such attacks.

This may also be the final straw declaring another Intifada has been officially launched. Many Israelis already knew that the current increasing in rioting, assaults, rock throwing and other attacks in Jerusalem and beyond were being generally orchestrated through the incitement by the Palestinian Authority and its component terror organizers. They started referring to the increased levels of violence as the ‘Silent Intifada.’ Where many of those who were the first to reference acts of violence as the silent intifada referred to the escalation of the rock throwing from roadside attacks to more sophisticated jousting rocks assaults where a concealed lookout would signal their accomplices of a car with Israeli license plates passing their position which started the attack as the vehicle containing rock throwers accelerated to high speed heading in the opposite direction of the target vehicle where the rocks were launched right before the two vehicles passed one another aiming most often for the driver’s side of the windshield. The added speed from using a moving vehicle added great amounts of momentum making the rocks and even cinderblocks more effective and definitely potentially fatal if they struck people inside of the victim’s vehicle.

The terminology silent intifada gained wider acceptance as assaults by groups of Jerusalem Arab teens would assault individual Jews, couples, and even small numbers of women in areas of Jerusalem near the Arab neighborhoods and often on the Mount Scopus Campus of the Hebrew University. The general acceptance of the terminology came with the increased and obviously premeditated and highly organized daily rioting on the Temple Mount which ran in congruence with propaganda by Palestinian Authority, Hamas and other terror leadership claiming the Jews must be denied access to the Temple Mount by any and all means necessary. Abbas went so far as to refer to the Jews in derogatory terms referencing Jews visiting the Temple Mount as the equivalence to herds of beasts stampeding on the al-Aqsa Mosque. The reference of al-Aqsa Mosque has now become defined as anywhere on the Temple Mount. This allows for the claims that the Jews who come onto the Temple Mount are entering the mosque and defiling the mosque simply by their presence within the boundaries of the Temple Mount. Using such terminology is also a coded message for preselected groups to initiate a prolonged series of violent riots on the Temple Mount which is almost always rewarded by the security forces closing access to the Temple Mount for Jews.

So far the response from Prime Minister Netanyahu has been to promise the King of Jordan and even the high officials of the European Union that Israel will enforce the status quo on the Temple Mount. The status quo is politic-speak for surrender all rights to the Temple Mount solely to the Arabs in general and the Palestinians in particular. The fact is these statements are a confirmation of acceptance of Dhimmi status for Jews specifically and all non-Muslims in general when it comes to being permitted access to the Temple Mount and assures that as Dhimmis Jews will never ever say prayers or otherwise defile the Islamic purity and holiness of the Temple Mount. Thus far a number of Ministers of the Knesset have defied the suggestion from Prime Minister Netanyahu to avoid making the situation worse by refraining visiting the Temple Mount, and never mention the idea that the Israeli government would ever pass a law granting all equal rights on the Temple Mount. They and all of Israel have been told by their Prime Minister that the Jews have given their claims to the Temple Mount to a small council appointed by the government of Jordan called the Waqf and that Jews are to accept any decisions regarding their rights to visit and even, dare I say it, pray while upon the Temple Mount. The supposition is by surrendering completely the violent riots will cease and everything can calm down and return to normal. The problem is this surrender by Prime Minister Netanyahu makes return to normal impossible as he has basically stated that the government of Israel agrees with the Islamic demands that Jews be forbidden from defiling the al-Aqsa Mosque by which the Waqf, Jordanian King Abdullah II, and the Palestinian leadership mean the entirety of the Temple Mount to be completely off limits to Jews.

The surrendering of Jewish rights within Israel and making the Temple Mount outside of Israeli laws is a dangerous step and will not accomplish the desired end to the rioting on the Temple Mount or elsewhere in Jerusalem. The rioting is designed to drive the Israelis from not only the Temple Mount but from all of East Jerusalem, the Old City, Judea, Samaria and eventually from all of Israel itself. There will no longer be any act which the Israeli government will be capable of doing that will satiate the Arab hunger to drive the Jews from what they believe is their holy lands from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. Prime Minister Netanyahu gained nothing and may have instead further reinforced the Palestinian tactic of excessive violence by rewarding them with surrender. Now the Palestinian leadership will continue to broaden and intensify the violence in order to gain further concessions which will only whet their appetites for more concessions through violent rioting. The only way to end this cycle of violence is to firmly enforce Israeli rights and equality before the law. The Supreme Court of Israel has already ruled more than once that the Jews have equal rights to access and prayer on the Temple Mount as it is within Israel thus must confirm to Israeli laws of equality, which means equal rights, equal responsibility and equal treatment under the law. This was applied strictly to Jewish rights to visit and to pray on the Temple Mount with no regard to any wishes or dreams expressed by the Waqf or anybody else. This rioting must not be rewarded otherwise we will start to see such rioting in Tel Aviv, Netanya, Haifa, Ashdod, Eilat and across all of Israel which will lead to a confrontation Israel has worked so diligently to avoid. Israel can no longer avoid the coming waves of violence by timidity; Israel must meet the coming spread of riotous violence with firmness and enforcement of the rule of law fairly and equally against all violence be it committed by Arabs, Jews or anyone else. For the immediate future expect to hear Mahmoud Abbas not only preaching violence for the Palestinians but also calling out the Israeli Arab population to riot and throw the Jews from within their places and eventually from all places. Eventually surrender will no longer be possible so it should not become Israeli policy now or at any time as if Israeli leadership behaves as would any Dhimmi would be expected to act, how then can any Israel retain their pride and by consequence their rights as equals. We can only be as strong as our government so our government must be as firm in enforcing Israelis rights so that Israelis themselves can be expected to hold their own against these threats. A strong backbone and firm reliance on our sacred rights, honor and the virtue of prayer will see us through this coming crisis. One last thing Mr. Prime Minister, if you will stand proud we will be there with you, if you fail us now we will be there without you.

Nairobi Proof al Qaeda not as Dead as President Obama Claimed

With al-Shabaab striking the Westgate Mall in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi the world was reminded that al-Qaeda still has the ability to strike targets and murder those they consider to be infidels contrary to the pronouncements made by President Obama who had announced the end of al-Qaeda. We have to give some limited credit to President Obama as he was talking about al-Qaeda being defeated in the areas where the United States military had been fighting them over the past decade and here he was partially correct. Al-Qaeda has been driven from Afghanistan for the time being and had been defeated and sent scurrying from Iraq but even these claims will only hold for a brief period. Unfortunately for President Obama, going forward now that the President has failed to negotiate a reserve military presence for the United States which would have had the ability to effectively prevent the reentry of al-Qaeda into the areas where so much effort, time, lives and treasure was invested by the United States, his claim will prove to only have a temporary validity and we will soon witness the return of al-Qaeda in both venues. We are already witnessing increasing violence in both Afghanistan and Iraq though much of the mainstream media in the United States tends to try and ignore these apparent failures of policy.

The assault on the Westgate Mall in Nairobi was horrific in lives lost, property destroyed, confidence shaken and future implications of the possibility of more attacks of a similar nature becoming something we need to address. The lesson that needs to be taken from Nairobi is that authorities, especially intelligence agencies, need to be constantly on alert and expecting an attack at any time. This means that they cannot stop for one moment from being on heightened state of alertness and constantly keeping their eyes, ears and electronic surveillance all at a high level as such attacks will find any time when your guard has been allowed to relax. It is as has been stated by almost every expert and politicians (and we try never to confuse the two) when they talk after events such as we just witnessed and they excuse their being unprepared by reminding the people that where the terrorists only have to succeed once in many attempts while the authorities must get it correct every single time every day and night throughout the year and that it is a thankless never-ending task of immense proportions. I would never think to argue that point and would agree. The task of preventing a terror success if it works is something we never hear about, or at least should never hear about their successes as to brag over a single success only serves to give away some hints as to the sources and abilities of our protectors and redoubles the effort of the terrorists to strike us even harder, and we really do not need to encourage them, do we? The best anti-terror intelligence agency is the one you never hear about and who never needs to explain what went wrong. That is asking for a very high level of expertise and dedication and those who are on the front lines of this war, and it is a war, should receive our gratitude though they neither expect such nor would acknowledge it as those in this fight need to remain nameless. They are also the people who are feeling the failure over the lives lost at the Westgate Mall in Nairobi very personally and have likely gone over their data and efforts looking for what it was they missed in order to assure themselves, not just the rest of us, that they will never miss such a sign ever again.

Having served in the military I am familiar with and have known some of the men and women who are members of the ready fast response teams. These units take turns on a rotation being the tip of the spear on alert status where they do not leave their deployment station and have their gear ready to deploy anyplace within their command at a moment’s notice. These brave souls will try to smile and make light of the pressure and the tension they feel when on station, especially if there has been reason for heightened alertness, and that happens far more often than we in the citizenry will ever be allowed to know. In the current world I cannot even begin to imagine what it is for those who are holding the watch over our safety knowing that at any moment they may be called upon to act realizing that their actions will very likely make a critical difference in the eventual results. This must be even more difficult after the failure in responding to the battle in Benghazi. Whether it was those on alerts fault or the fault of somebody high in the chain of command, such things do not matter when you realize that you might have made the difference and because you were not permitted some may have died. That is the worst you can make these service members go through for they prepare and train and they know that others depend on them just as they at times must depend on others. The question is where will the next terror strike come, will they be prevented, and if not will first responders arrive in time to save the lives of many of the innocents, because that is why they train, to serve and save lives. Despite what Hollywood paints in so many of their movies that the soldier’s job is to kill the enemy, that is not their first and most important job. Their primary job and the one that gives them their ultimate pride is that of saving lives and keeping the innocent safe and alive at the end of the mission. It is about guarding more than anything else.
