The Storm Before the Calm

President Trump was quoted to have made mention that we were experiencing the calm before the storm, and at the very point one might say started the storm before the calm. The media went into a feeding frenzy making all forms of predictions of doom, World War III, nuclear Armageddon and the end of all sanity. Some predicted that, finally, President Trump had gone too far and this had to be impeachable material as if a President can be impeached because he said something that some, or many, or even most people found offensive. For all we know, President Trump could have been referring to the calm in the media who had found nothing he had said worthy of impeachment in the last twenty seconds, and now he had so the storm was sure to ensue. That would have been an accurate interpretation, as any, of the media eruption over the statement, “calm before the storm,” words which Trump had spoken. But let us assume that President Trump meant that things were starting to look quite dangerous in the world. Well, can anybody say that such a description of the current state of the world was exactly wrong? There is an upstart young and rather unstable fool firing rockets over the Islands of Japan and across areas of South Korea out into the oceans and seas surrounding these nations while exploding nuclear weapons and having restarted the plutonium producing reactor, making fuel for more such weapons ruling North Korea. There are some rather less than stable religious fanatics very likely making nuclear weapons and testing ever more capable missiles threatening to destroy the Great and Lesser Satans of the United States and Israel and then launch their troops to conquer the world. There is a war still raging in Syria where it appears that a murderous dictator backed by Iranian Mullahs and their IRGC troops and Hezballah terrorists will win the day backed with Russian air support. Libya is still in a state of chaos with intertribal fighting and Iraq is in a state of unrest with Iran and the Iraqi government about to go to war with the Kurds in the north just as Bashir al-Assad also may be fighting the Kurds in his north. As far as fighting Kurds, there is Turkish President Erdoğan, who has been at war with the Kurds of his nation as well; yet the world refuses to allow a state for the Kurds where they would live in peace if only permitted such a privilege.

Perhaps President Trump was being too kind referring to the present state of the world as calm. Anybody calling the present state of the world as calm might just be as daft as the media claims. Europe has an economy which has been steady in its inability to show much in the way of life. The new infiltrators and immigrants in much of Europe have brought with them crime and unrest and threats of revolution and jihad with an ending target of the imposition of sharia. China has been spreading tendrils building islands in the South China Sea which will lengthen a main trade route between the Indian and Pacific Oceans or potentially giving China complete control over this trade route while they also tend to solidify their claims over islands also claimed by Japan, Viet Nam or the Philippines. China apparently has decided to try their hand at hegemony themselves and is still spending like there is no tomorrow on their Navy and Air Force. Russia is continuing their agreement with Syrian dictator Assad in exchange for the use of Syria’s Mediterranean Sea Ports while Iran consolidates their Shiite Crescent across the Middle East (see map below). Turkey’s Erdoğan still sees himself as the next leader of the renewed Caliphate. President Sisi in Egypt has made all the right and noble statements of reforming Islam such that they learn to prefer their Mecca verses of coexistence and tolerance over the Medina verses of war and conquest until the entire world submits to Allah but has been dreadfully reticent about taking stronger actions than a speech or two at Al-Azhar University in Cairo while Coptic Christians remain targets for murderous jihad. India and China, the world’s two most populous nations and both nuclear powers are in a standoff over their border as the Chinese are constructing a road into the disputed province. Meanwhile, in Kashmir, India and Pakistan are still standing armed to the teeth and both with nuclear weapons in their standoff over who actually owns what once was an independent nation. While, what we presume, most probably accurately, is a nuclear power, Iran is rushing towards a war potentially with Egypt and more definitely Saudi Arabia, which could get nuclear weapons from Pakistan amongst other places, over who will have control over the Muslim Middle East and be the preeminent power of all Islam. Iran and Israel are in standoff mode as of the reality spoken of above where Iran has promised to wipe Israel from the map while Israel prefers to remain where she stands. And there is the growing threat globally of terrorism.

Then there is the threat of a civil war in the United States. The media is fanning the flames and leftists worldwide are willing to pay any price to be rid of President Trump. There is presumably a plan for a full-blown nationwide uprising in protest for November 4th hoping that it will grow in proportions until President Trump has little choice but to resign in order to save the nation. Somewhere in this plan, there may be a small problem though we would be hard pressed to point it out. Such a demonstration could be seen as an attempt to overthrow the government which would permit the President using any and all power at his disposal to end the uprising, but other than that, what could go wrong? Meanwhile the media is fanning these flames for all the ratings they are worth even to the point of Jimmy Kimmel crying over spilt milk. What else could go wrong other than perhaps a flu pandemic if they got the flu shot formula wrong?

There is a coming water shortage in many places on the planet and despite clean water technologies being available, little is being done to distribute it where needed as the cost would be rather daunting challenge. Funny how people are willing to spend billions to pursue political ends but they find it difficult to spend even thousands to benefit all mankind. There are also threats of famine from crop failures from poor land use and so little is being done to teach the farmers of the world better techniques let alone getting them the equipment necessary to increase yields. Israel is working in Africa and elsewhere with assisting in such efforts but cannot reach everywhere and the United States also has taken up efforts worldwide but they could use others to help more with these efforts than in starting revolutions. There will be weather and other natural disasters which the world will need to give their assistance. And there are so many other areas in which the world could be improved such as providing medical assistance to the world including such things as Saving a Child’s Heart which not only saves children with heart defects from around the world but trains surgeons and sets up hospital departments to treat children around the world. Yes, we thought ending with hope would make more noise than another story over a Trump gaff.

North Korea Sending Threats to United States, Japan and South Korea

Let us start with the news as reported over the past few months including accusations by Kim Jong Un accusing President Trump is the world’s modern Hitler comparing President Trump’s proposed partial delay of permitting refugees as equal to Hitler racial profiling. He claimed that President Trump was willing to sacrifice the rest of the world just for the betterment of the United States. Kim Jong Un insisted that the world must unite against the United States first policy, which is just like Hitler, and the Nazi policy of a supreme Nazi State. There is no doubt that there has been a consistent ramping of accusations and bristling of North Korea and their missile testing with a string of launches including a possible ICBM test which might have the ability to reach Alaska and possibly the West Coast of the United States mainland. Kim Jong Un claimed that President Trump has been enforcing fascist policies, which place people as either friend or enemy, and Trump has following Hitler’s policy with his two state policy dividing Korean Peninsula into two camps, friend and foe. The ramping has also included the placing of three nuclear powered aircraft carriers into the Sea of Japan off the North Korean coasts. The problem for South Korea is that one of the world’s most heavily populated and crowded cities, Seoul, the South Korean Capital City, would be simply decimated should North Korea launch all of their rocket artillery and regular artillery targeting the city. This threat has left South Korea in an antithetically nervous positioning as the risks it faces against any attack launched by Kim Jong Un, despite their weapons systems being of older technology, have such massive numbers already targeting the South Korean Capital City of Seoul that the risks are terrifying. The ability for the United States to intercept all or even the vast majority of these projectiles would be limited leaving the only option being an American launched preemptive assault to destroy these weapons before they could be used. The remainder of such a war would be difficult but air power could make all the difference providing it is used intelligently and only to prevent artillery being moved into position as well as mobile missile launchers to protect South Korea and Japan. Invading North Korea would be more difficult than such gains would be worth, unless you are a North Korean who would be greatly assisted once such a war was completed and they were united with their South Korean fellow Koreans in a newly united Korean Peninsula which could be known as Korea without any need for a North or South denotation. The freeing of the North Korean people who have been held prisoner by their oppressive dictatorial family regime of the Kim’s since the division of the Peninsula after the Korean War will remain impossible until the world is willing to face the evil which has abused these unfortunate victims of the Kim’s. Now let us present the initial videos.

The frightening escalating rhetoric between the two leaders, President Trump and Kim Jong Un, can only be seen as troubling as this may at some point reach a point where neither man cares to back down such that the simplest of changes in the stance of the opposing forces could lead to a full-fledged open warfare. The reason that Kim Jong Un is seeking a reason to open up warfare against South Korea, as he has often made the same claim as his father, is that the entire peninsula belongs to their regime and that the division is an artificial and temporary situation. They both have promised to rectify this false line drawn at the 38th Parallel. Where Kim Il Sung used the threat of forcibly unifying the Korean Peninsula as an agenda designed to force bailouts from the Western World to climb back down from these threats but his son has been less measured. He did this a number of times with each one following a similar scenario but Kim Jong Un has gone off the tracks and started entering areas not before taken by his father. The threats against Japan could be excused as a limited raising of the threat level to justify receiving funds and differentiating his style from his father, as his seeming desire to prove to be willing to enter into areas that his father had not would have been satisfied by such threats. His direct threats of the United States is an entirely new and dangerous escalation, and his making it personal by bad-mouthing President Trump is treading on ground which may prove impossible from which to retreat. Further, his challenging President Trump by deliberately crossing every line almost as rapidly as they are set, whether they were set by President Trump or by the United Nations and even seemed to challenge the G-7 when they discussed Kim Jong Un and his response was to launch two missiles while the nations were meeting.

The other point which sets a level from which President Trump will have a difficult time backing away from was his claim at an interview during the G-7 meetings where he stated that the problems with North Korea will be settled. President Trump was not more detailed than stating that the problems would be settled during his watch. When you add to this the unprecedented level of naval power placed in the Sea of Japan of three aircraft carriers (pictured below) and their escorting vessels, that places a ready and floating attack force capable of operating as the tip of the sword which would be capable of making an interdicting attack potentially capable of preventing any North Korean attack on Seoul. The secret for the success of such an assault would require complete surprise, which would require using stealth aircraft for the initial attack and taking out all radar and command and control systems as well as destroying communication lines. This would depend heavily upon intelligence work in identifying such targets and also the ability with night sight targeting using helicopters such as the Apache which was designed for just such use and is also a capable attack craft which also is capable of defending itself as well as in anti-armor warfare. There are areas that the United States would be advised to be very wary and careful before considering getting that involved in any conflict with North Korea. The one thing the United States need avoid at all cost would be a ground war involving large numbers of American ground forces, especially United States Army other than possibly Special Forces.

Talking about a ground war, the United States should make it known to the South Korean government that such an idea is not within the United States plans. The rumors are that there are forces in South Korea who desire making a united Korea one of their major elements as a target they wish to accomplish. There are some who are willing in making concessions to a larger extent than what the United States commanders believe is wise. Whether these individuals will gain sufficient political influence is something that will need to be closely monitored but not necessarily be a determining factor in what the United States is planning. Granted, South Korea is an ally and major partner and everything that will be done need be discussed with the South Korean leaders only if they are of a similar mind to the United States intended efforts. The other ally who also need be considered and kept informed with the same provisos as South Korea is Japan as North Korea has threatened them as well. Truth be told, there is nobody in the immediate area other than China and Russia that North Korea has not threatened, and the jury is out as to whether China has escaped Kim Jong Un’s ravings and threats. Looking at the map one sees that with each new missile, North Korea reaches further out and can target more and more nations making their threats all the more viable and increasing the nations who are concerned. With their latest missile, which they touted as an ICBM, though it is actually more of a continental ballistic missile, they now can target all of India and most of Indonesia along with Viet Nam much of eastern Russia and in theory might reach Anchorage and southern Alaska and definitely the Aleutian Islands and with just slightly more range the West Coast of the United States. Of course since North Korea has proven their ability to place satellites into orbit, albeit low earth orbit, this would allow them to be capable of striking anywhere on the planet with some minimal degree of accuracy though such a projectile would be best used to detonate as it was entering the atmosphere, as it is unknown if they have developed a casing capable of surviving reentry, which unfortunately would also be the perfect EMP device if the warhead were a low yield with high EMP discharge capability, just the variety of warhead some scientists and experts have claimed that North Korea and Iran have perfected. This makes North Korea a threat that must be addressed and defanged as Kim Jong Un has passed all requirements at almost every level of the crazy ladder.

Map of Approximate Missile Ranges of North Korean Missiles

Map of Approximate Missile Ranges of North Korean Missiles

The one item which actually serves to make the problems stemming from North Korea and particularly Kim Jong Un’s unstable personality less of a sole responsibility of the United States is that even his presumed friends, Russia and China, cannot be completely at ease with his increasing ranges for missiles and their ability to carry ever heavier payloads while he is also perfecting miniaturizing his nuclear warheads as even they could fall on his wrong side on just that one bad hair day when he just has to launch a surprise at somebody, and whomever got his attention that morning and is within range may just win a prize care of North Korea and their crazy man, Kim Jong Un. Now since for the moment the mainland United States is beyond direct missile range and can only be struck by a satellite which would be detected long before it could be delivered and might simply prove the adequacy of perhaps some space based interception system which the United States has kept under wraps and waste a good temper tantrum and would just upset poor not-so-little Kim Jong Un even more. The real problem as we currently view this situation is it has been slowly accelerated beyond the point where the normal brakes will prevent an open military clash. This might just be what all sides desire just to get the problem of North Korea settled on terms which do not include an all-out nuclear conflict which will place civilization of two continents, Eastern Asia and Western North America, in jeopardy. Simply to prevent such a nuclear contest it might be best to defang Kim Jong Un while his fangs will cause minimal toll in human lives though the potential to sacrifice the twenty-five and a half million lives residing in and around Seoul, South Korea and endangering the fifty-one million lives in South Korea plus the one-hundred-forty million lives in Japan plus whatever additional casualties Kim Jong Un would be capable of inflicting. However, many of the nearly twenty-seven million North Korean lives which could be lost might be a lesser cost than adding the four-hundred-twenty million Americans plus another three-hundred million in Europe and whomever else would be targeted should Kim Jong Un develop full range ICBM’s and thermonuclear warheads. The death toll might be less if instead Kim Jon Un were to use EMP devices in addition to more limited use of warheads such that he would continue to have a viable threat and such attacks could leave entire continents without electricity for decades leading to mass starvation, wide spread diseases and no means of combating almost any threat as there would be no refrigeration and little to no modern life left and transportation of goods would be massively interfered as such an attack would wipe out most of the modern vehicles including the long haul trucks and diesel electric trains which includes bullet trains as well as mag lev trains. The modern world could be brought to a level similar in nature to the conditions in North Korea and Venezuela only actually worse. Such a world would be a desperate place and even more so should industry in Japan and Germany be struck, as they are the major manufacturers of the modern large electrical transformers, the items that would be most required for rebuilding the world’s electrical infrastructure. These are some of the considerations which need be faced concerning Kim Jong Un especially since his nation has little to lose from any such conflict and might be the major beneficiary as then he could use his military and strike out to conquer much of the world. The main forces of the rest of the world would be any submerged submarines that include Boomers, nuclear powered submarines that can launch nuclear missiles.

Nuclear Missile Carrying Nuclear Powered Submarine

Nuclear Missile Carrying Nuclear Powered Submarine

One would have to figure that these are the ultimate answer to any attack as there would be no opportunity for any aggressor, no matter their size, no matter where on the earth they may be. Once these submarines are given their targets, all bets are off and the aggrieving nation disappears. These ballistic missile carrying submarines, depending on class, carry between twelve to as many as twenty-four multi-warhead ballistic missiles, which they can deliver to any point on the globe. The placement and locations of these nuclear powered submarines is a well-guarded secret. Once they leave port and submerge, they remain under and often go very deep and the only proven technology for even having a remote chance for tracking these are sensitive listening devices on hunter-killer submarines, special magnetic anomaly detecting satellites and special sonar equipment on the submarine chasing ships specially designed to locate submarines. The modern submarines have extremely quiet drive systems and are coated with a rubber-like substance that is also smooth, which makes them silent killers. These submarines are just as impossible if not more difficult to locate than depicted in Hunt for Red October. They are the ultimate answer for the nations who posses them.

When Lies Bury the Truth of Promises Given

Should Europe along with potentially Canada, Australia and/or the United States decide to go down the multicultural route to suicide, please do not try to demand the same of Israel and definitely please do not attempt to drag us down with you. Stop pretending that there were no promises made after World War I and that the San Remo Conference, the Treaty of Sèvres, the Treaty of Lausanne, the League of Nations affirmed Mandate System and Article 80 of the United Nations Charter by which the United Nations assumed the responsibility to enforce the League of Nations Mandate Systems was simply some myth. Many of your leaders signed these documents and now you pretend they never existed and that there were no guarantees given the Zionist Jews who even agreed to let seventy-eight percent of the British Mandate be used for an Arab state which today is Jordan. In exchange the British, that’s your nation Prime Minister Theresa May, that is the Crown of England and the British Isles, would guarantee that the Jewish State would be the remaining twenty-two percent which consist of the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea and that these lands would remain inviolate. I know, it was a promise to Jews, who keeps promises to Jews. Well, perhaps the time has come for the world to start keeping its word even to Jews and perhaps the Kurds and all the little people who those bigger and more powerful and numerous nations decide are not worthy of receiving respect, perhaps that time has finally come. The Kurds have defended their land and pushed the Islamic State terrorists from more land and stopped their advances before others had even attempted such and now is the time to fulfill the promise the British gave the Kurds before oil was discovered near Mosul and the British cut a deal with King Feisal giving Iraq the majority of the Kurdish lands in exchange for oil rights leaving the remainder to ne swallowed by Syria, Tukey and Iran. Let us have the world finally keep their word and while they are making deals allow the Middle East to decide their own borders by clans and tribes instead of arbitrary lines sprawled on a map by French and British cartographers making nations which were designed to tear themselves apart such that they would never rise or band together as each would have to be ruled by dictators with iron fists or monarchs equally stifling. It was a brilliant plan except that it made for destitution and failed nations in its wake, but that was the plan, was it not. The time has come to make amends and allow for a new Middle East that can grow and develop a future for its people who are homogeneous.

Even if the world is unprepared to redraw the entire Middle East, perhaps a few smaller steps can be a start. First, give unto Israel and the Jews that which was promised and free the Arabs who became Palestinians in 1964, that is 1964 AD and not 1964 BCE, to relocate if they so choose with a generous buyout of their lands and homes and a nice relocation bonus plus air fare to either their new nation of choice or a neutral nation and tickets on an airline which will take them to their new location and transport of their possessions to their new home if they choose to relocate and promise to not return to Israel or make further claims. Permit the Arabs who are kept in camps for no reason other than to use against Israel, to reside in their host nation with a generous stipend given to these nations to resettle these people with half of the stipend given to the refugees directly through UNRWA. Then perhaps the world could spend the energies and efforts wasted in an effort to destroy Israel and destroy the Jewish State to solve the problems in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and South Sudan. After these, there are the African States along the African Transition Zone (see map below) where terrorism has been tearing these nations drawing them into civil wars and strife where innocents are the main victims of the violence and destruction. There are so many places on this tiny little rock spinning in the vastness of space in need of humanitarian relief efforts and restructuring of their governance to better serve the people and use their natural resources and potentials for a more optimum level leading to better lives for their people. These are the challenges that the world could be fighting instead of trying to destroy one tiny little sliver of a nation sitting on the eastern edge of the Mediterranean Sea. It is not difficult to find the areas in trouble, what is difficult are caring enough to repair their problems. It has always been easier for mankind to destroy than to build; to wreck what others are building than to worry about building for others; to tear down rather than build up.

African Transition Zone

African Transition Zone

The Earth has gotten very much smaller with no place on the Earth more than half a day jet travel from every other place on the Earth. Missiles, ICBM’s in particular, can reach from any point to any other point in less than thirty minutes. This means that as more and more nations develop miniaturized thermonuclear warheads in the tens of millions of tons of explosive power and the ICBM’s with which to deliver them, every city in the world faces annihilation with next to no notice. With ship-board and submarine-based nuclear missiles, the warning time comes down to next to nothing. War is quickly becoming something that best be made obsolete or else people may become extinct along with much of the life upon the planet. Things are becoming tense in too many places around the globe for comfort. President Erdoğan of Turkey has recently taken near total control of his nation and has in the recent past declared interest in extending the borders of Turkey to include Aleppo, Syria and Mosul, Iraq in the name of defeating the Islamic State. Instead of attacking the declared target of the Islamic State, President Erdoğan has instead targeted mostly the Kurds who are located far to the north of the Islamic State forces, so much so that these attacks cannot be construed as mistakes or missed targets but only as intentional attacks. North Korea has in the past used nuclear and missile testing in order to blackmail the world in order to force aid payments or relief from sanctions. Its dictator Kim Jong Un currently rules North Korea. This dictator has ordered one of his top generals executed, his own uncle executed, his half brother living in another country assassinated and has exhibited behavior which, to say the least, has been very troubling. Take one Kim Jong Un and mix in nuclear weapons with ship launched missiles and a satellite which passes over the central United States and could be dropped to an optimum altitude to explode and EMP pulse which could, and probably would, take out all electrical service in the northern hemisphere of America. The one further problem is nobody knows exactly what this satellite has or what was the purpose of placing it in orbit such that it would cross the United States coming from the south, which is the singular direction for which there are minimal defenses. North Korea may only be a singular and presumed minor problem, but with the world wound up tighter than a drum it may only take a small drumbeat to poke the initial hole and from there who can tell how big a tear will result.

For one the Middle East is simply a sideshow as the bigger problems are in the Far East and Europe. Europe is collapsing and will eventually fall to the Islamic influences that have been brought into Europe to replace their lack of young adults as Europe has had a declining population trending since the mid 1980’s. Russia would like to reacquire their influence over the easternmost nations that were once part of the Warsaw Pact and spread their influence into the Balkan States. Further, due to the passivity of the United States, Russia has reestablished ties in the Middle East including naval bases in western Syria, strong relations with Iran which include weapons sales that included the S-300 anti-aircraft systems, and have opened relations with Egypt in the area of weapons sales denied by the United States in a reaction to President Sisi replacing the Muslim Brotherhood government. China has expanded into the South China Sea with such maneuvers as building manmade islands and weaponizing them with aircraft and other military assets. China has also laid claims to islands that are also claimed by Japan, the Philippines, and Vietnam. China has also pushed back more than expected or desired on pressuring North Korea to calm down on threats and belligerence.

Economical problems are also pressing a number of nations. Leading the parade is Venezuela where there are next to no goods available even if one had sufficient money to buy things including food, medicine and other basics including toilet paper. Coming in a close and desperate second and the longest member of the destitute and bankrupt nations is North Korea where there have been desperate times where there has been next to no food for those outside the military or ruling elite who live extravagant lives. There are close to another dozen nations who are facing serious economic challenges whose people deserve a better life and more effective governance. Then there are the nations where major powers have caused grief through incomplete planning or total lack of planning. Such places were part of what was mislabeled the Arab Spring. Egypt was barely able of escaping disaster but is still a nation where the people are in need of education if they are to ever be capable of a better life.

The lack of education is a problem through much of the world and is one place where all of the developed nations could give so much which would result in paying dividends beyond measure. Another place where the developed nations could assist the third world nations is in agricultural technology and practices with which the farmers could contribute greatly to the national wealth and feed their own populations far more than under current conditions. Also by introducing industries, which could provide both jobs and needed services and equipment such as tractors, plows and other farming equipment, would allow their entire economies to be initiated and placed on a path which would assist their development. The leaders of nations have often made speeches about how the world could be made so much better if we could cooperate. Why not try cooperation instead of tearing one another apart. Even if only the nations who have democratic governance would cooperate, they could accomplish so much more and through leading by example, they might attract other nations into the sphere of democracies. Well, if nothing else, can we at least allow Israel to solve her problems in peace and without constant attempts to undermine her very existence. End playing games pretending that Mahmoud Abbas and his merry band of terrorists are desirous of peace and not the destruction of Israel. It is understandable why European governments are so enamored with the Arabs and their desire to destroy the Jewish States. You need their oil and they are simply attempting to finish what Europe worked so feverishly to accomplish just over three-quarters of a century ago, and blaming Germany is a muted means of attempting to pretend that they were not aided with every effort available by the majority of the nations they conquered. The French often rounded up twice the number requested begging the Germans to take the children as well and they were just one example, the Vichy French. The Netherlands were not much better and the Balkans had their own SS battalions to hunt down Jews and Slavic people. Poland had little choice as the Nazis took complete control but then there were those Polish towns that had their own pogroms when their Jews who survived attempted to return home. Almost all of Europe contributed either actively or passively with select exceptions of whom many have been recognized by Israel. As one who was interviewed stated about her working to save the Jews she could stated that she simply remained sane, Christian and moral while society went over the cliff. From what we have seen, the world is once again rushing to go over that same cliff.
