What is the World Going to Do, Hate Us?

 

Israel is facing any number of hard and soft threats. The hard threats are such items as the Syrian War spilling intentionally or inadvertently over our border, the nuclearization of Iran, especially when combined with the Iranian threats to annihilate us, and other threats to invade or otherwise cut Israel from the rest of the world, the end result if the BDS movement (boycott, divestment and sanction) ever succeeded in their efforts. There are some more distant hard threats such as complete sanction under Chapter Seven by the United Nations Security Council with their declaring Israel to have been formed illegally and stripping Israel of any recognized borders and calling for her isolations, their recognizing the Arab claims for Palestine replacing Israel with this new entity or simply demanding Israel withdraw to within the Green Line making that the recognized border between the two states. All of these threats would not hold complete validity until the United Nations would begin to form a military alliance to force such a resolution upon Israel or if any of the major powers such as Russia, Chins, the United States, the European Union or any group of nations capable of fielding a sizeable military force intent on forcing the issue upon Israel. Most, if not all, of these scenarios hold no possibility at this time and some are items for future sleepless nights if not prevented before their initiation. The nuclearization of Iran at the very top of that list but there we should have allies as such a threat to Israel being launched would establish the Iranian intent to use their nuclear weapons status as a weapon with which to threaten or annihilate any of their adversaries which includes every Sunni State, every non-Islamic state and most obviously the United States, Europe, and eventually China, Russia and the rest of the world on their way to world domination, one of Iran’s previously stated goal as their part of completing the commands of the Quran as they interpret it to demand of them. These threats can only be defeated by military readiness.

 

Israel had faced such threats in the past and fared poorly for quite some time. What the Jewish people are more threatened by is the same threat they have faced since the beginning of history, the threat of annihilation being bandied about as a stated goal by groups or nations. There have been times throughout Jewish history with the earliest being the enslavement in Egypt. This led to some of the most influential experiences of any people on the remainder of the world throughout the rest of history. The Bible as in Old Testament was a direct result as was the New Testament and Christianity and later the Quran and Islam and there have been a few other offshoots of these into separate groups through history. The Ten Commandments were given at Mount Sinai which has often been referred to as the basis for much of the body of law in the Western World. There was also the idea first given that a King or any governing body must be made to live under the same code of laws as anybody else and that no ruler should become wealthy off of public service as enriching oneself at the public’s expense is the worst form of tyranny, that of separating the rulers from the peoples. The concept of a day off from work, the weekend, the concept that slaves must be set free and the rules set forth for the humane treatment of a slave where they are to share and eat as does their owner and their family and other similar laws. When one comes across the law which states any slave may choose to remain as a slave with their master for life must so mark himself with a mark on their ear that one realizes that slave was more of a reference as a worker more so than a slave. There are numerous other concepts drawn from the Jewish writings which are still seen as appropriate today, it is really a shame that many are not extended to the Jews or Israel.

 

Most of the problems Israel has deal with the Arabs, the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Hamas and Islamic Jihad and how the stories related to these are retold in the world media. One might safely say the majority of the media, particularly the more leftist leaning media have a real hard time with Israel basically discounting anything and everything they claim. These same news outlets copy PA, Hamas and other propaganda casting Israel as an evil entity word for word with absolutely no check on the validity. The claim that had these news sources have stated has been the rapid speed of the news business today and that getting the breaking story out is often a greater demand than checking its validity. Of course any commentary released by Israel must be checked and rechecked and then weighed for its imperative need to be given any priority. That is the longwinded way of saying whatever Israel claims is invalid. Some of the reporting of the current Arab war on Israel which has escalated once again where there are at least an average of three to five assaults per day not even counting the rocks, large rocks hurled at vehicles hoping to cause them to cause the driver to lose control and crash and possibly kill any number of passengers. The claim given by the PA is that these attacks are completely unplanned and they have no control over the perpetrators who are acting out of frustration with the settlements and the inability of Israel to make peace. This is obvious as it is exactly what the media throughout the world has had to say. The fact that Mahmoud Abbas and the PA are running and indoctrination assault using social media, television, radio, music, the school curriculum and virtually every other ploy to instigate a many attacks as possible. That truth is also missing from reporting. One of the best headlines which had since been scrubbed as it was replaced with one somewhat less negative. The initial claimed that two Palestinian youths killed on bus, twelve injured. The part left out was that the two ‘Palestinian youths’ were cousin age fourteen and sixteen were armed and stabbing their way through the bus until they came upon police who ended their rampaging through the bus terminal. They had managed to injure to varying extents twelve people and were charging the security officers who ended up shooting them ending their stabbing their way to martyrdom. This is the other fact often left from the coverage is that these youths, and they are unfortunately youths, will continue to assault people and kill people until they are rendered incapable of continuing which too often equates to dead. Even Mahmoud Abbas stated that these young people were seeking martyrdom and lauded them for their courage. I have come over the years to realize that though the officers, the hierarchy of Arab Palestinian society constantly congratulate the suicide bombers and the current trend of stabbing suicide martyrs claiming how glorious such a death is and its rewards in heaven but do not appear themselves all that anxious to lead by example and place themselves in harm’s way. The leaders and much if not all their family members remain safely locked while building themselves some really luxurious palatial homes. Below find Mahmoud Abbas’s plans for his new residence and some of the other opulent houses, chalets, palaces, not sure on what the best word is to describe such homes. Abbas’s compound will cost around thirteen million dollars.

Perhaps it is because of the nice homes that these men do not volunteer for martyrdom attacks. Where that may appear to be an argument for economic development to improve the situation of the average Arab, that might not be the end all because nobody no matter their business acumen can make their employees as wealthy as the people whole homes are pictured. The one thing that can be guaranteed about the owners of these homes, they are either higher-ups in the PA government or are close friends with people in the PA government as nobody gets that wealthy without Mahmoud Abbas and his henchmen permitting such which means there has to be some I scratch your back and your scratch mine going on. The one item never explored (I hear it coming that I have said this a gazillion times and I will probably do it a gazillion more) is exactly what the PA would accept as a final, repeat final, solution with Israel. Once upon a time a PA leader named Yasser Arafat, you may have heard of him, answered the question of what would it take. His answer was half of Jerusalem, and over 95% of the West Bank. That response was given to President Clinton who rushed to Prime Minister Barak and presented the terms. After that the PA has refused to give any real set of condition and will never give their actual demand. What is their actual demand, you ask? They want a State of Palestine replacing Israel from the River to the Sea. This demand also means that they are honestly aware that Israel has legal international claim to all the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. Mahmoud Abbas knows that he has to demand all of the lands such that Israel cannot acquiesce as the next step once the world, or the United Nations, fits them their demand and the world powers are finally willing to commit massive troops to enforce such a deal and understand that what that means; the annihilation of over six-million Jews and almost a quarter of a million Christians being likely to be murdered as soon as the PA is replaced with Islamic State/Hamas.

 

The really big secret in the Middle East has been how Hamas is burning the candle at both ends and likely to get away with it for the time being. Hamas is cooperating with Islamic Jihad in the Sinai while also accepting funding from Iran as well as Muslim Brotherhood. Hamas is linked to Iran and is playing a second front with which Iran can harass Israel with. Hamas also takes direction from the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda, and Islamic State. All of the above except Iran are Sunni while Iran is Shia. The question is where will Hamas fall when Iran and Islamic Jihad lock horns? Our feeling is who care as long as they destroy one another. I apologize, that was not nice, how about only cripple? The problem is the world will denounce Israel because they are seen as the stronger force picking on powerless Arab Palestinians. The reality is that the PA goes through a budget of trillions of dollars each year and still has the audacity to claim they are broke every three or four months. Israel also receives support from the United States with a small iron bridge support cable namely they must spend the funds in the United States on military equipment solely while the PA gets to use their money, a measly half million alone from the United States plus whatever the United States pays to support UNRWA plus the unpublicized funding from extremist sources such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Turkey and who knows where else (Qatar maybe or are they too mild). The forces surrounding Israel are dangerous, well-armed and immune to any sanction from the United Nations or any Western Powers, bit that most would denounce, let alone harm, any of the forces challenging Israel.

 

Let’s take a quick tour of the forces threatening Israel. The PA which received more money than anyone can track and pays all of the Hamas government salaries, the Hamas and Islamic Jihad forces used as Gaza Security (or in otherwords all of them) and likely helps with everything it believes it can legally and not anger the United States. Hamas gets funding from every direction in the Arab and Islamic worlds as well as European governments (many of whom have demanded Israel negotiate with them as they believe they are just one of the boys who really hate Israel) and UNRWA as well as many other United Nations funding options. Hezballah is the attack puppy of Iran and runs Lebanon with an iron fist and, as the Syria war has proven beyond any doubt, is at the beck and call of Iran to perform any service they require and anyone other than Iran will have to stand in line until Iran is not using Hezballah, otherwise they are in the clock and you can just wait. These are some of the threats Israel faces. There is also Islamic Jihad, al-Qaeda, Islamic State, IRGC and the Muslim Brotherhood financed forces as well as some other lesser forces. With these forces threatening Israel on every border Israel needs to redefine their borders such that they are far more defendable. What does that mean? The first step is that as long as the PA is encouraging stabbing, vehicular, rock throwing, firebombing and other assaults with the intent of murdering Israelis, everywhere else in the world that is an act of war which is responded to forcefully. The new border after everyone known to be attached directly to the decision making processes of the PA driven beyond Israeli borders and any terrorist having them and their entire family, cousins, uncles, aunts, mother, father, brothers, sisters, wife, children, and other first step family members all deported. Then, when Hamas and Islamic Jihad take their next missile and rocket attacks and using tunnels to attack inside Israel and possibly attempting or actually committing kidnappings, then Gaza should be pushed into the sea or Sinai with the Egyptians warned ahead of the assault so they could be stationed at their border to arrest all the terrorist and others undesirable refugees as they crossed their border as they will more likely prefer being arrested by Egypt than Israel. What can I say about the last comment about preferring Egyptian arrest, everybody is permitted one mistake. Finally, when they return from the Syrian war Hezballah will need to regain their street cred with the people of Lebanon and they will turn on Israel to get their support. Israel should let the Christian, Druze and Sunni Muslim who all are subjugated by Hezballah that this would be the time to clear the Becca Valley and place sufficient forces to arrest all of the remaining Hezballah forces at the Litani River and once and for all having destroyed Hezballah, Israel will be assuming the Litani River as their northern border. The immediate response from the world, the United Nations, the European Union, the United States, Russia, China, Vanuatu and who knows who else will be to denounce the Israeli aggression, disproportional force, and expansion of borders. The problem is that when attacked a country is permitted to retain the lands from which the attacks were manned and launched and establish a border which is defensible which usually means holding the high lands (Golan Heights), a river (Jordan and Litani Rivers), larger bodies of water (Dead Sea) and other strategic lands granting the ability to see attacking forces at a distance (areas beyond the Negev Desert into the Sinai Peninsula). These are the natural borders Israel should implement if attacked from across her borders and let this be known ahead of time as a deterrent. Those who will claim Israel will never hear the end of such overt moves, let us ask, and we are hearing the end of our defending ourselves from Hamas and a thousand rockets a day and from the PA with their all-out attack backed by instigations from government media and with government social media blitz and financial rewards yet Israel is attacked for killing homicidal maniacs demanding to be stopped and who when shot and injured lunge at victims until shot repeatedly and killed. We are being victimized by the world for defending ourselves within our current borders so why care what the world thinks as they already condemn us for breathing. We want secure borders on all fronts and we should take them as they become necessary. Nothing less than knowing attacking Israel will cost the attacking forces land, period. We tried carrots, now is the time for sticks.

Red Flags Facing Israel in Every Direction

 

With Mahmoud Abbas one week threatening to quit and hand Netanyahu the keys and the next week announcing that the Palestinian Authority (PA) will be issuing Palestine Passports in six months, what is Israel to expect and react without appearing ridiculous? Perhaps that is the entire objective of Abbas’s schizophrenic actions. Then there is the situation with the European Union with their two pronged assault on Israel, one economic and the other territorial. The economic assault has been prevalent in the news with their vote demanding separate labeling of all products coming from east of the Green Line. This will next morph into a demand that any product with X percent, eventually becoming any amount even having a single item from east of the Green Line. The inevitable end result will be a complete embargo of all Israeli goods as a precaution of any part having come from the ‘Zone Which Must be Free of all Jews’ as the Great and Powerful European Union has so decreed.

 

The territorial assault has even been ruled illegal by courts but when you are ‘The Great and Powerful European Union’ such trivialities hold no power over their edicts of what must be as they said so. This territorial assault has been the European Union’s building of Arabs from within the PA areas homes and other structures and land from within Area C which the Oslo Accords reserved to be completely under Israeli control. The Oslo Accords stipulated three zones which the parties agreed to their stipulations. Area A was given to complete PA control, both security and administrative; Area B was given to joint security jurisdiction with PA having administrative control and Area C under complete security and administrative control. The intent of the Oslo Accords was for Area A to result as an Arab state, Area C was to be annexed into Israel upon settlement and Area B was to be negotiated between the two parties, the PA and Israel. The whole idea of the Green Line which was actually the armistice line drawn when the combined seven Arab nations’ armies were unsuccessful in their efforts to completely eradicate the nascent Jewish State during the hostilities during 1948 and 1949. During this war which Israel euphemistically calls its War of Independence, the war was initiated by the aforementioned Arab armies which were perched on the Israeli borders, the current borders with Lebanon and Egypt, all of the Gaza Strip, and along the eastern shores of the Jordan River as these were the determined borders from the British Mandate and reconfirmed by the United Nations. The so-called occupied territories or disputed territories were according to all treaties including those signed by the Arab League by King Farouk recognizing the Jordan River as the legal and internationally recognized eastern border of Israel. So that raises the question of exactly who is occupying whose lands?

 

Should there be any moves by the PA to declare a state in any parts of Judea and Samaria, the actual given name throughout history of the so-called West Bank, other than in Area A, and especially and expressly in Area C, that would be tantamount to a declaration of war as that would entail taking lands which are considered to still be contested. This was what their rioting and forced occupying of almost all of Hevron as well as every desecration of Jewish holy sites and structures such as the ancient synagogues which they claim will destroy the al-Aksa Mosque despite there being miles from the Temple Mount and some not even located within Jerusalem. These accusations of Israeli or Jewish attempts or even intentions to destroy Islamic holy sites is one of the best and most egregious examples of projection as this has been their modus operandi exampled by their numerous desecrations of Kever Yoseph (Joseph’s Tomb) and destructive excavations on the Temple Mount destroying antiquities from the last three thousand plus years of Jewish artifacts. This has been proven beyond any shadow of a doubt by the finds made in Operation Sifting which is an attempt to salvage even the smallest of antiquities out of the rubble piles where the crushed remains dug from beneath the Temple Mount by PA excavations.

 

Then there are the constant terror attacks which are either not given any coverage by the world’s media or is given such a slanted and misleading coverage as to be beyond credulity. An example comes from a stabbing attack near the Old City’s Yafo Gate from yesterday where the Arab attackers murdered one Israeli, severely injured a second Israeli and one Israeli was accidently shot and killed when Border Police officers were attempting to end the attack in which one of the attackers was killed and the other injured and taken into custody. The coverage was so slanted that Israeli officials have felt it necessary to register complaints over the network slanting of the news. CNN reported the attack reporting there were four dead without differentiating between attackers and victims with a banner stating “four dead in violent stabbing at Jaffa Gate” but CBS was not to be outdone in this false implications when their screen titles with two strangely amorphous or simply misleading as with the initial title. CBS began coverage with the title “2 Palestinians killed after stabbing attack in Jerusalem” and later changed to read “2 Israelis dead after stabbing attack in Jerusalem; 2 Palestinian Assailants Killed” which was slightly less ambiguous or misleading but there is no excusing the initial reporting title. These are far from the first of the litany of misleading titles and reports with one of the more famous the Jerusalem reporter on a split screen reporting that the Arab ‘Palestinian’ shot dead was running unarmed and definitely did not have a knife which he reported repeatedly even after being told that the video was in the split screen and it showed the Arab charging baring a knife over his head in his raised hand and still the on the scene reporter refused to change his slanted reporting. This was so telling of who and how reports from Israel and especially reports from areas where terrorism is a definite threat and the average Western, especially European, reporters feed their feelings of trepidation hiring local reporters willing to report from these ‘dangerous’ locations which more often than not are Arabs and too often they have a slanted view which taints their reports. This sits just fine as the reporters themselves find such reporting believable and in tune with their line of reporting, thus much of Europe and the world, especially those relying on the BBC, AFP, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS and even at times and becoming more prevalent with FOX, are receiving slanted news on which they then base their feeling on the conflicts in Israel. They are all guilty of slanted reporting which is far more often than not against Israel and supporting the ‘under dogs’ Arabs despite their being supported by the entirety of the Arab world, much of the Muslim world, and by many from Europe and other Western nations and solidly by the European Union. Even the leftist media in Israel is just as guilty as any in the international arena.

Since the Duma arson attack and the following detention and rumored mistreatment of even some minors in efforts to force confessions and fortunately there will be a trial which will hopefully bring into public review exactly what techniques were used to gain any confessions or not get a confession from many who still might be called to attest to the methods used. If the rumors which have circulated turn out to be true, then waterboarding would have been hazing compared to the techniques used here which came closer to the methods of Tomás de Torquemada. Where we would prefer to keep my faith and belief that the state is honorable and would not act in any way dishonorably which is something the recent reviews by a select board of former and active commanders and select officers who are responsible for similar review of troops in combat who reviewed the past war in Gaza which presented a report which lauded the IDF actions and gave special note to the review internal to the IDF and their review procedures in cases of accusations or internal reporting of misuse of power or other abuses. We will need to wait and see what develops but an open and transparent review would go a long way to belay our doubts and fears.

 

There is one thing that we feel great embarrassment and sorrow when we hear about acts of violence by fellow Jews against other Jews especially as well as when such violence is directed at Arabs who are innocent of any aggressions against Jews as such actions work against any possibility of settling our differences peaceably. If it proves out that Jews were behind the Duma arson attack which murdered an entire family, we support the prosecution to the highest charges and highest sentencing upon a conviction for each offender. Equally important, if it proves that no Jews were found to be guilty and that evidence points elsewhere that Israel not permit the PA to whitewash an investigation and do whatever is within their abilities to find and bring the actual perpetrators to justice just as they would prosecute any Jew responsible for such a horrendous crime. Any crime of such viciousness must be researched and investigated to the utmost depth and chase down every potential lead until every last detail is known and all involved are persecuted. There is no reason for murdering an infant and an entire family no matter what the reasons and those involved must be brought to justice. The same needs to go for these terrorists who have been attacking Israelis need to be brought to justice and made to serve their entire term ending these releases just to have Abbas and friends kick us in the face for yielding to his demands. We, meaning all of Israel are fed up with the world always demanding Israel make concessions until we have no concessions left, period. How about instead of asking Abbas for some promise he never plans to keep or honor, we simply demand that he state explicitly exactly what terms would he be willing to accept for an end to all hostilities and borders such solution would demand to satisfy all the Arab demands.

 

Perhaps having Abbas advertise exactly what terms would be acceptable to him would finally present the real reason there has been no peace and there can never be peace as long as Abbas or any of his minions are involved with the peace process as they refuse the process and demand all or nothing. It is time they were told either they compromise or they will receive nothing and be removed from power along with all the rest of the people behind thus intransigence allowing calmer and more reasoned and rational minds to come to the fore who can reach a compromise. If they also prove unable to make peace, they too can face the same answer as above and continue the willowing until somebody is found willing to reach a fair peace. The only solution to the Arab Israeli situation will require honesty from the Arabs, their speaking honestly, and finally the settlement of the Arab Israeli conflict which will require a desire from the Arabs and reasonable demands from the Arabs otherwise Israel will be left with little choice but to reclaim all the presumably contested lands which were recognized at the time of her birth with her eastern border being the Jordan River and not the Armistice lines reached with the Arab world after the six plus national armed forces stood ready to do battle the morning of her independence where Israel managed to survive losing much of Judea and all of Samaria to Jordan who occupied these lands from May 1948 through June 1967 when Israel regained these lost lands and has been attempting to manage a peace treaty with the Arabs who remain intransigent, refusing to compromise on their maximalist demands. Until the Arabs compromise, they should be made to lose land and eventually their continuing to refuse to compromise from their demand to replace Israel choosing to fund a terrorist state over a normative functioning state, then they will destroy any hope of there having a functioning state, there will only be the functioning state of Israel.

The Life and Death Difference

 

The recent escalation of Arab Palestinian violence and homicidal rage which had claimed too numerous Israeli victims’ and Palestinian attackers’ lives, caused untold misery, left scores injured and disrupted all activity in Jerusalem and beyond has had some telling differences in how they have been covered by the respective media outlets. The Arab Palestinian coverage had emphasized the glorious carnage which should fill every Arab Palestinian great pride and desires to emulate these shahids and their great courage committing these acts of vengeance and for the protection of the Arab Palestinian cause and the area of the al-Aqsa Mosque which they are protecting from being “defiled by the Jews and their filthy feet.” The Israeli coverage has decried the carnage and mourned the deaths of every victim including the Arab Palestinians who needfully were killed as they would not cease their homicidal rage even after being shot and wounded and already having murdered numerous others and injured far more. Our coverage of these events has spanned the past week starting with our article, “Intifada or No Intifada, Media Keeps Silent,” where we discussed mostly the incitement coming from Mahmoud Abbas amongst other Arab Palestinian spokespeople, “Terror War Escalated with Calls for More Stabbings,” where we discussed some of the attacks, both current and historic, the escalating rhetoric and instigation with stirring anti-Zionist, anti-Israeli and anti-Semitic broadcasts and Imam’s sermon on the attacks thus far and the need for more Arab Palestinians to emulate with their own bodies and lives and finally “New Day and Terror Attacks Increasing,” where we summarized a single day’s attacks and where we gave special mention to the needless death and concurrent loss of Rabbi Yeshayahu Krishevsky (pictured below), his murderer by a radicalized Israeli Arab and a short video of those gathered towards the end of that fateful day with the crowds spilling into the streets in an attempt by many to honor and pay their respects for Rabbi Yeshayahu Krishevsky as he was lain to rest. The instigations and encouragement to violence by Imams and Arab Palestinian Authority terror instigators including Mahmoud Abbas and others has shown no signs of decreasing and could be summarized as increasing and it must be pointed out these calls to murder Israeli civilians have been echoed in sentiment if not outright calls from Arab and Joint List Knesset Ministers knowing they will never be made to pay a price for their traitorous activities as they too break Israeli laws against incitement to violence. Opposing the Arab Palestinian and Arab Israeli calls, which include an Imam brandishing a knife and using motions to indicate its use in a stabbing (though his form left room for improvement), were the calls from Israeli politicians and enforcement personnel who have implored people to avoid places where violence had been occurring such as traditionally parts of Eastern Jerusalem including the vast majority of the Old City of Jerusalem particularly on and around the Temple Mount, and the other areas from Ra’anana just outside of Tel Aviv to the rest of the locations of the other attacks.

 

 

Rabbi Yeshiyahu Krishevsky Was Run Over by the Terrorist Vehicle after which the Arab driver took to the ground with a meat cleaver, not actually though technically the knife the media referred to the weapon as being, chopped at the Rabbi assuring he had died and then took after the other person he had struck and chasing the others were injured through stabbings until the terrorist was shot by a security guard as well as several border police who arrived ending his continued attempts to kill people

 

 

The definitive difference between the Arab Palestinian and the Israeli broadcasts is one of implications looking back as well as going forward. The Arab Palestinian views have been all about further instigations and the demand that Arabs, both from the Palestinian and Israeli coverage made inflammatory rhetoric in attempts to encourage far more violence, death and destruction from Arabs coming from Judea and Samaria locations beyond the Green Line which demarcates the 1949 Armistice Line from the 1948-9 War of Genocidal Intent launched by over a half dozen Arab armies and several militias all attempting to decimate and commit a genocidal war against the State of Israel from the day of her inception and even before she was able to fully organize a military to defend the people of Israel and repel the invaders. The Arab broadcasts since day one encompass calls to arms and the instigation of Arab attacks against Israelis of all kinds though more often than not the calls are made to target Jews first and foremost. The Israeli broadcasts give pertinent information of locations where assaults are taking place so as to warn Israelis against walking in on a potentially deadly situation. The Israeli broadcasts reverently lists the dead and stricken victims from these attacks speaking of their accomplishments and the loss felt by the society with interviews of those who know the victims. The Israeli broadcasts beseeched that Arabs cease their homicidal attacks and allow for a return to normalcy.

 

So we have the Arab Palestinians calling for more violence whether the broadcasts originate from the Gaza with Hamas or Islamic Jihad spelling out their designs of incitement meant to encourage violence against Jews in particular and any Israeli generally even if they are sympathetic to the Arab cause as unless they are committed to acts of violence against the Jews they should feel unprotected from the potential of Arab violence being brought to the fore by Arab acts of violence. On the other side are the Israeli calls for calm and an end to the violence which has caused so much uncertainty and misery due to the deadly attacks. The Israelis decry these attacks, especially the suicide attacks, as antithetical assaults on society and the individuals, both those who perpetrate the attacks and those made to be the victims of these attacks. The Basic messages from the two sides are such polar opposite as the Arab Palestinians glorify the death of both the shahids who give their lives for the cause and their victims claiming such are the ultimate form of Jihad and support for the eventual formation of their state of Palestine replacing the state of Israel. These actions which are demanded by these calls for violent jihad really will not be successful as the threats of death will not prevent the Israelis from living their lives to the fullest. Such is the ultimate futility of the Arab Palestinian violence that the Arabs committing what is for all intent and purposes have all been a form of suicide attack as in almost every case as long as the terrorist is capable of movement of any sort they continue to grab their weapons, the knife, hatchet, meat cleaver or firearm and continue to attack until rendered completely neutralized which is a euphemism for dead. The Israeli response until very recently was to try and take the terrorists into custody almost at any cost. As incidents continued to rise both in lethality and numbers of attacks the Israeli response has also slowly been ramped up both in manpower and firepower. The real difference comes when one determines the intent of those involved. The terrorist has only two modes, the one where they continue to be a danger to those around them and the one where their threats have been mitigated and they are no longer a threat to the rest of the public body. The Israeli side aims for a continuation of life and the celebration of all the aspects and potentials in life and the loss to all when somebody’s life is interrupted and even terminated by an act of ruthless and wasteful terror. The Arab Palestinians worship the sacrifice just as their predecessors who also worshiped death and they commit their lives as had their idolaters with their human sacrifices to Ba’al and other stone edifices. The Arabs terrorists are the sacrifices to their false gods and their political leaders who never make such sacrifices with members from their own family, or at least extremely seldom use their own family members, play the part of the medicine man or priests from the idolatrous temple who commit the final act of sending the sacrificial individual to their death, be it on a stone altar or be it in some display of suicidal homicidal rage, the result is the same, a violent act of worship to their false god which demands sacrifices of death.

 

The Jews on the other hand celebrate life and believe that all lives matter in every situation. This drives the ethos where the emergency personnel and physicians treat those needing medical interventions suffering life threatening injuries before treating those with lesser wounds or suffering from shock. There have been the few who have called for the physicians to treat the Israelis first and leave any terrorist for last treatment if receiving any treatments at all. Those supporting such a heartless response are just further down that slippery slope where some lives are treated as more important than other lives, something which is counter to much of the ethics taught the world be the Judeo-Christian ethos. A life is a life and as we cannot know, fathom or even begin to understand the ramifications of any act when compared to Hashem’s plan for the universe, we cannot begin to claim to know whose life is most important. We are always joyous when the character in some fateful event is a person we can all use as an inspirational person to be held in high regard but we are far more challenged when the hero or the one responsible for some great consequence and the advocate for this betterment of society is somebody no one would ever mistake for an admirable person around whom would desire their child to emulate. Anyone who has ever read any Charles Dickens novels is familiar with the anti-hero, a person who does great acts of kindness and gives people assistance without asking for the monies to be repaid and we find often that the person behind these admirable acts is one of lesser morality who was particularly disreputable in their early life which has acquired for them quite a deal of wealth and then we find they are often doing self-imposed penance. This is given as the reason our learned rabbinic sages hold that all lives are precious and that we have no right to take a life unless it is to save lives.

 

Judaism has held for millennia that all lives matter, even that of the enemies of the Jews. Torah teaches the Jews and its students that one may not know or even recognize the hand Hashem as He manipulates and controls certain outcomes and guides everything such that all results as it should. This also means that we will not know who Hashem has great designs which will be placed upon their plate to be accomplished which will benefit all, and such will more often than not be beyond the capacity for mankind to understand and especially predict from whom and from where the next miracle may come. For these reasons and the other peculiarities which are just as far out of our cognitive investigative prowess as anything performed by Hashem and as such should never be questioned as all in the end will be as it should. Still, mankind was taught by the original codification in the Noahic Code which contains seven laws which are pretty much the same as the Ten Commandments minus the first three commandments. The Noahic Code is considered to be one of the earliest definitions of a basic framework for modern civilization as it calls for a fair and unbiased judiciary, basic rules which spell out protection of property, the sanctity of the marriage bond, and even one law against certain mistreatment of animals, thus the dictation that all lives matter as if a simple animal is worthy of our mercy and respect; even an animal we will be consuming as our meal. This is where the originating basis for the Jewish ideals of life as a sacred gift which we have no capacity to fully understand how each animal’s life is worth. There are boundless specifics in Judaism on even which animals one may consume and which are not for human consumption. This might beg the question as to why all the animals which Jews are restricted from eating are banned or why the clean animals are permitted for consumption. There are those who try and depict the laws as a simply guide for eating a safe diet which will restrict the possibility for food poisoning. This had been fed further by the standard claims about the difficulties with pork and the potential for salmonella should dairy product remains seep into the crevices in either wood or unfired clay bowls and then at the next meal that same bowls used with meat, possibly then the bowl could continue poisoning the person using it over a long period of time such that when the person does finally become ill, there would be no accurate way to discern what the poison was and from where it had come. The one overriding theme in Jewish culture and laws is that life is precious and a gift to be treasured and used respectfully of others such that every life is capable of fulfilling Hashem’s plans as directed.
