It’s Kristallnacht déjà vu all over again, to adjust one of the late Yogi Berra’s famous and odd truisms where this was one of his more cogent statements. The eerie similarities November 9th through 10th in 1938 have now had their first order repeat with modern times now, quoting from Mark Twain who was claimed to have stated, “History may not repeat itself, but it does rhyme a lot.” Kristallnacht saw the Brown Shirts mobs rampaging through the Jewish areas in the majority of German towns and cities destroying their businesses, burned down Synagogues, looted homes, murdered at least one hundred Jews, arrested at least thirty-thousand Jewish men to be sent to Nazi concentration camps, destroyed Yeshivas and there were rumored raping of some younger Jewish women and other atrocities. Jewish stores had already been marked with the Star of David painted in yellow and black across thousands of doors and windows, with accompanying anti-Semitic slogans. Signs were posted saying “Don’t Buy from Jews!” (Kauf nicht bei Juden!), “The Jews Are Our Misfortune!” (Die Juden sind unser Unglück!) and “Go to Palestine!” (Geh nach Palästina!). Such activities can be viewed in Picture below. The boycotts and Kristallnacht did not just burst on the scene suddenly out of nowhere. Just as rising anti-Semitism has led to the European Union voting to label Israeli products manufactured, grown, fermented or having any step of its production or harvest from areas beyond the 1949 Armistice Line also called the Green Line; so had rising European anti-Semitism grown facilitating the imposition of the European Union vote to label these particular Israeli goods as they are intended to force the Jews to leave the ‘occupied’ (legally at worst disputed and honestly Israeli) lands which is nothing more than the European Union agreeing with the Arabs that the lands must be made Judenrein. Think about this one truth, the historic lands which the northern half of these lands was referred to as Samaria and had another name historically, Israel and the southern half was called Judea and somehow the world had decided that these lands never did and never can belong to the Jews and that the ancient Jewish capital Jerusalem and its Old City which was the actual ancient capital must now be given to Arabs who gave themselves a name just to change the image from the Arab countries as the Goliath against little Israel as David into the undefeatable IDF and Israel as Goliath against these few Arabs who adopted the Roman given name for Judea of Palestinia, they modernized it to Palestine to benefit from the British term based on the Roman name as well. So the world wants there to be the Jewish People denied the Old City and Temple Mount of Jerusalem, Judea, and ancient lands which were Samaria and also named Israel, what is wrong with the world.

What has gone wrong is there has been a demonic combination of events which began with the Six Day War in June of 1967 when Egypt and Syria massed troops in the Golan Heights and along the Sinai-Negev borders. Egypt also blockaded the Straights of Tiran blocking Israeli direct access to Asia and also defined as a Casus belli which instituted an Egyptian declaration of war through that act and the massed troops was simply icing on the cake. Egyptian and Syria radio, television and other media carried repeated calls for the destruction of Israel and the genocidal slaughter of driving the Jews into the Sea as was declared by Gamal Abdel Nasser in his critical and historic speech carried in both Egypt and Syria repeatedly every day for over a week. The world was already mourning the end of the Jewish State and lamenting the coming death of near five million Jews with debates of what exactly any nation or organization such as the United Nations might do and these discussions were designed to move mournfully slow until the time had run out and everything was over. Then the impossible and unimaginable happened. Israel struck early one morning with airstrikes which amazingly hit almost every Egyptian and Syrian fighter jets on the ground and shooting down the few which managed to get airborne and mostly left the decoys unharmed sitting between the burning jets on the airstrips. The ground war wasn’t much different as the Israelis launched assaults into the Sinai Peninsula soon surrounding the Egyptian Third Army closed off in the Sinai Peninsula and the Syrian were knocked off the Golan Heights and were slowly retreating towards Damascus. One would be hard pressed to believe the reality as the Syrian and Egyptian media kept reporting their gains and closing on Tel Aviv so the Jordanian King advised by their military decided they were not going to be left out of this historic victory though the Israelis begged them not to be sucked in by the Egyptian and Syrian lies which served to only convince the Jordanians the Jews were losing even worse than the reports and attacked. Israel diverted reinforcements headed for the Sinai and they soon stopped to pray at the Wailing Wall and reported that the Temple Mount was in their hands. By the time it all ended after Six Days, thus the Six Day War, Israel had regained the lands lost in 1948 of Judea, Samaria (ancient Israel), Gaza and Golan Heights and gained the entire Sinai Peninsula and stunned the world. As the Israelis were threatening to cross the Suez Canal and strike into Damascus the world demanded a halt to the war without demanding the Egyptians, Syrians or Jordanians surrender or admit their having been defeated. The Egyptian still teach in their schools about their great victory of June 1967. But it was the world’s reaction which changed the most drastically.

The world for a brief period celebrated the unimaginable and stunning victory by Israel in only six days but then came the old bugaboo about the all-powerful Jew and their eventual plan to conquer the world. This was followed by the Israeli victory again and against the odds as they were caught initially flatfooted and with their military and reserves spread throughout the lands in synagogues observing Yom Kippur; but after Israel gathered her troops and resurged; they again routed Egypt and Syria until the world again demanded a stop without Egypt or Syria accepting their defeat. Then Israel began to have their economy branch out and began to develop a high tech sector, innovative start-up sector and also making discoveries in agriculture, medicine and sciences both hard and soft of all varieties. This suspicions and old misgivings against Jewish excelling and success again nudged Europe to return to their centuries old hatreds which has slowly gained traction and grew. Then it got a massive influx of funding and a serious and well-financed propaganda campaign claiming the Jews were committing atrocities and had used nefarious and ill-gotten advantages in their wars and were using their same old tricks to gain advantages in business and so many other of the old malice and hatreds. Joining in grudges against the Jews was almost natural and with an entire Jewish nation, Israel; nothing could be better or make a larger target. Hating Israel became the low hanging fruit for those seeking a reason for anything wrong with their world. When economic problems struck as in the late 1970s and again in the early 90s anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism and anti-Israelism grew. Eventually the three, though technically separate in some particulars, they all became known as anti-Zionism. This was chosen largely because the United Nations had equated Zionism with Racism under direct pressures by the Arab League nations and was pushed through the General Assembly with the support of the Nonaligned Nations (NAM) which gave the Arab nations an automatic majority to pass almost any General Assembly Resolution which carries the weight of a suggestion which becomes annulled as soon as any effected nations rejects the resolution.

The next situation which cast Israel in an even worse light was the pressures on the media who were mostly too wary to step out of line and eventually the main news services began relying on stringers for their reporting and pictures from the Arab controlled area. Further, some reporters saw an opportunity to make a name for themselves by taking a position in the Middle East and become known for their reporting on the abuses reportedly committed by the IDF and other Israeli security personnel with staged incidents which were at one point actually revealed by 60 Minutes report on what became known as Pallywood as shown in the video below. Despite such damning reporting by a reputable new team, the world found it more satisfying to continue with their comfort zone which believes the Arab falsehoods because it serves their need for a familiar enemy, and what is a more familiar enemy for much of Europe than the Jews, or who are now called the Zionists. This became even more obvious during the Durban Conference in 2001 which was officially titled “World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance” but devolved within minutes into a free-for-all demonizing Israel from where it spiraled completely into an area from which return is all but impossible. This has been proven with ensuing of the Durban series of conferences, each a simple reassurance and restatement of the original anti-Israel hate-fest begun in the first conference. With denunciations of Israel coming from numerous NGOs, being denounced by the United Nations Human Rights organizations at almost every meeting, UNESCO under pressure granting the Arab Palestinians the rights of sole protector of what are Jewish and Christian Holy Sites which predate Islam such as Rachel’s Tomb, Cave of the Patriarchs, Church of the Holy Sepulchre and numerous others and some still to be decided in Bethlehem, Hevron and other sites.

This brings us finally to the European Union labeling of Israeli goods they believe are from areas which the European Union agree that should have the Jews completely removed as there are apparently places where Jews must not be permitted to reside. Europeans demanding that lands be completely cleared of its Jews, sounds eerily familiar. The decision has not been finalized but perhaps we can be helpful and suggest an example which they might decide fit the bill and are sufficiently different than the Nazi symbols such as swastikas or yellow Star of David with JUDE written large within the star center (depicted below). What is most troubling is that the agitators who pushed so hard to get this action from the European Union but that does not mean they are too tired to continue. As a matter of fact, as this effort should have taken much out of the agitators, the decision by the European Union will now see a regenerated, and European Union targeted demonstrations demanding the full range of BDS be imposed on all of Israel until they do whatever it takes to give the Palestinians a state equal to their desires. Do not expect this to be a finished deal for the European Union and even after the collapse before the BDS protesters who are less interested, for the most part, in the forming of a Palestinian state as they are interested in the destruction of the one and only Jewish State. Now that the European Union has bowed before the pressures which included rioting and demonstrations, they will now face added pressures for their adopting a BDS approach to everything made by Israel hoping to cause Israel and her economy to become destroyed and thus bring down the Jewish State returning the Jews to their downtrodden position within the nations where they had been before the setting up of the state of Israel for intended destruction. The question, surprisingly, is not whether the Israelis will survive but rather whether the Europeans are going to be capable of surviving as Israelis are at comfortably higher than replacement levels, something the Europeans only manage through their recent new arrivals and the finalizing loss of Jews and the replacement of these with families of Jews exiting are being filled by Muslims seeking a better life. These new arrivals will likely have cultural difficulties and may never leave the areas in which they feel safest. It is appearing that Israel will easily outlast Europe as the Europeans prove to have more difficulties both economic and with assimilating these newcomers. This time the Jews are armed with an army which is well-trained and dedicated to their safety and proved to be very proficient at that task.

Foil EU boycott by purchasing these EU marked goods, even preferring these goods (the oranges and wines are particularly good), of Jewish products from factories which, as well as being from outside an arbitrary armistice line marking where fighting stopped to end 1948-9 War of Israeli Independence denoting the front line as of noon of a certain day, and which factories employ Palestinians who are not able to work in Israel inside Armistice Lines, and who work peacefully and gainfully side-by-side with Jews and who would lose their employ if these businesses were forced to shut down or relocate. These manufacturers are the exact dream the EU claims they support, Arabs and Jews cooperating to their mutual benefit peaceably and productively benefitting both Arab Palestinian workers and Jewish workers. These manufacturers are the future, if there is to be one, other than a final war.

Anti-Semitism is Singling Israel Alone for Criticism

The old argument of, ‘I am not against Jews, it is the policies of the Israeli Government that I am protesting,’ have a strong stench of anti-Semitism if your group accuses only Israel to protest against. The claims of occupation solely against Israel for having ‘occupied’ Arab lands, and the ‘Palestinians’ are simply Arabs, and are no more deserving of an individual state than are any minority community throughout the globe all entitled to their own nation. The idea of a Palestinian people has solely been concocted for the singular purpose of destroying Israel of its Jewish majority. The proof is beyond their demand for their own state as they also insist that over five-million Arabs be permitted citizenship within Israel in order to vote the Jews from the Government and then take whatever measures they are able to subjugate and then force the Jews to adopt Islam or die just as ISIS has been doing to Christians within their newly declared state, and the Palestinians taking control in Israel would have the identical result within the pre-1967 lines, the 1949 Armistice Lines. Further, if your organization claims they are simply sympathetic to the Palestinian desire for their own homeland being carved from Israel but you have nothing to claim for an independent Basque state, an independent Kurdish state, an independent Islamic state in the north-western province of China or especially the returning of Tibet to their ancestral governance as the Chinese have occupied Tibet since 1951, then they need to widen their demands if they are to be believed as authentically representing oppressed minorities. Is it that you only find problematic any occupation established after June 7, 1967 and before June 14, 1967 as that was a particularly difficult week in human history? The singling out Israel for your Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, the BDS movement, is a ringing clarion call bringing attention to your selective outrage against the Jewish state above and beyond all other disputed territories as having an element of exclusivity that clearly shows the bias as only against Jews and no other groups worldwide. Denying that the Jews have the same rights in their state that is accommodated every other state is anti-Semitism, plain and simple.

The first thing one need to consider is the true intentions of those who form the movement against Israel and only Israel. It is interesting that there is no similar outcry from these righteous and so indignant leaders that have no place in their hearts for the Christian’s being slaughtered by ISIS, Boko Haram, and in the remnants of Syria where virtually every force fighting for control of areas of Syria, with the exception of the Kurds, are all denying the Christians of their human rights within their territorial area of control. There is no outcry from your saintly leaders of the BDS movement for the liberation and return of the lands formerly known before the Ottoman conquest as Kurdistan nor do they strike out for the Tibetans whose lands have been repopulated by Chinese forced into the ‘Province of Tibet’ while tens upon tens of thousands of Tibetan Buddhists have been forcibly relocated to other provinces thousands of miles from Tibet in a calculated and meandered onslaught to eradicate their culture and peoplehood. As a Jew who is Jewish only because of Torah which, as the piece of Judaism which was central in the preservation of our civilizations and peoplehood until we were finally allowed to return to most of our ancestral lands, kept our culture, heritage and collective hopes alive for the near twenty centuries of living in exile. In all honesty, if we were to be permitted only the ancestral lands which made up the lands which were the borders of ancient Jewish lands, this would be sufficient and the lands which Israel has been recognized but are not included in those lands could be given to whichever nation may declare their desires of the lands but this solution would also be refused out of hand because the fight against the Israeli occupation defines the occupation as all of the land, every square millimeter, every grain of sand and blade of grass, this is what is defined as occupied because the actual goal is to force the Jews back into being a landless peoples with no nation of our own left to the whims and indifferences of living within borders always ruled by the other and leaving the Jews to the mercies of those others.

For an idea on what Jews who follow Torah believe is the Promised Land and what most Jews would be within their rights to expect as compared to the maximalist demands of the lands under King David’s conquest and ruled over by King Solomon one gets somewhat of an idea of the differing ideas which can be mixed into the debate, please see the depictions below as we discuss actual current expectations and desires. The reality is that the Zionists believe the Red area on the right side map minus Gaza as we have disengaged unilaterally and gave these lands to the Palestinian Authority which lost them in a coup to the terrorist entity Hamas which, unsurprisingly, then won an election and have not deemed it necessary to hold another being satisfied with their one man one vote one time democratic rule. This definition of Israel as the Promised Lands currently is a compromise where most Zionists today recognize that the Zionist Congress surrendered lands so the British could form an Arab state for the Arabs who had come into the areas from distances as far as Yemen and southern Egypt and Tunisia seeking employment and to benefit from the Jewish rebuilding of the lands starting around 1880 and increasing since until May 14, 1948 when Israel declared independence, the British boarded their boats and planes and departed and at least six Arab national armies attempted to destroy Israel before she could take control of the lands promised her. Israel lost the Gaza Strip to Egypt and the majority of Judea, Samaria and Benyamin to Jordanian occupations. Jordan attempted to annex the lands they had occupied renaming them the ‘West Bank’ as their historical names were a bit too Jewish for their tastes. The only nations recognizing the Jordanian annexation were Britain, who had hoped to depart leaving Israel as vulnerable as possible such that she would be erased by the Arab armies which stood perched at her borders like vultures readying to devour a carcass as soon as it dies. When the British left and the Jews announced their state it was as if somebody had fired the starting gun for a land grab not unsimilar to the opening of the Oklahoma territory in United States history. Similarly, there were those already within the lands who fought with the invaders as a fifth element which led to some unfortunate necessities in order to preserve the state of Israel. Despite these necessities, the vast majority of the Arabs who desired to remain and live peaceably with the Jews retained their lands and became Israelis. The vast majority of those who lost their lands made an unwise bet by leaving their lands and siding, and often fighting alongside, the Arab forces betting they would annihilate the Jews and they would share in the spoils of Jewish property and also the property of those Arabs who had remained seeing them as traitors to Islam and Arab superiority.

Left side map depicts the division of the Promised Land amongst the tribes and right side map compares the modern promised land from the Jordan west to the Mediterranean Sea compared to the maximum of area during King David’s and King Solomon’s reigns.

The problem is there are many forces at work over the centuries who desired to keep the Jews as a landless peoples which some even took to the extreme of forbidding Jews residing under their rule from owning land even including under their house or business. Jews were required to have a Christian landowner or a Muslim land owner who leased the lands to the Jews who in turn paid a rental fee and had no argument when the edict came down to expel the Jews from the areas under some Sultans’, Barons’ or Kings’ lands often making such an eviction order so immediate that the Jews had little choice but to pack all they could manage to take with them and set off to seek another lands where they could be similarly subject to the whims of the rulers. Often the Jews brought with them skills which enriched the area economies but a generation later and the new ruler knew nothing of the lands before the Jews came and saw no advantage to retaining the Jews and much to gain as the ruler would steal away much that the Jews were unable to carry with them. There were times the Jews were not permitted cart or mule such that they had to leave all but the pittance they could strap to their backs. But now we have Israel, a safe place that we can escape to when the local ruler gives the order for the Jew amongst them to be spat out. But now those who would disallow Jews to be their neighbors if only that did not appear honorable, not that such will prevent an eviction forever, they not only wish us no place near their lands, they also want to deny us land anywhere. To so many the Jew as the victim is appealing and the Jew as an equal amongst the nations and with an army no less, such to them is an abomination. This is a part of the hatred driving the BDS movement, the take Israeli leaders and IDF commanders before the world courts for crimes against all that is holy, redefined as crimes against humanity and war crimes because the Jews invested millions to protect the people including the Arab Israelis and Christian and Muslims and all other faiths within Israel we spent wealth for systems to counter the rockets and shelters everywhere for their protection and reinforced schools to protect their children. Israel launches seventy-five-thousand dollar anti-missile missiles to intercept a couple of hundred dollar rockets as it saves lives thus the price is bared gladly.

Meanwhile Hamas, Islamic Jihad and their friends spend their monies on rockets and fire these rockets while surrounded by children and other innocents. They force people to remain in buildings which Israel has dropped leaflets telling the people to vacate the building as it is to be targeted in one hour. Israel sends SMS messages to cell phones in Gaza warning of these impending attacks. Israel takes these steps because innocent lives matter and matter even more than killing the terrorists who are attempting to murder us. This sounds insane and it is an insane way to fight a war. When Israel has a fighter jet in position to make their bombing run there is also a drone high above usually unseen but it can see and at the other end there is an IDF lawyer watching the video feed from the drone and until he gives the all clear the pilot cannot drop his ordinance. When these lawyers call off the attack due to the threat to innocent Arabs the jet has to take a necessary difficult landing still carrying fully loaded racks with bombs and ordinance in place. Even the observers often are completely flabbergasted and blown away by how Israel hampers themselves in order to not harm innocents, even those on the other side of which a good number would not extend the same to the Israel as they have been raised with a venomous hatred towards all Jews. But why should you take my word, so, just in case you have never heard the testimonies from Former British Army Colonel Richard Kemp describing the efforts the IDF takes in their actions against the terrorists during the war fighting let us present his testimony linked and embedded below.

While we’re viewing videos I found this little gem where CNN anchor Elliot Spitzer using the ‘Arab spring’ and the hopes running across the Middle East for freedom and democracy and a western way of life with everything as pure as the spring rains washing across the lands bring justice and transformation as his justification that Brigitte Gabriel is clueless and had vilely abused and insulted the core of Islamic belief and her warnings of an Islamic threat to the United States and Western civilization is wrong, overblown and completely defunct and devoid of any reality in her message, but we will give Mr. Spitzer a break which is far more than he gave Brigitte or would ever grant me if I were in his sights as for him I am the world human being on the planet, an American who made Aliyah fulfilling my life’s dream living now in Israel and never happier. My biggest crime in the eyes of Elliot Spitzer would be leaving the real promised lands, that was twice, when I made Aliyah and earlier when I moved from a Democrat stronghold to a warmer and more polite climate where Democrats are found largely at the 2K fun run/walks held in midtown Tulsa. So, here is the exchange below from March 9, 2011.

Elliot Spitzer is, as you might have surmised, an ultra-liberal Jew and Democrat apostle who loves to use the ‘name one’ attack which is the retreat of the scoundrel as they know that very often when there are movements one cannot give a name as most of those doing the lion’s share of the damage have remained unnamed such that they can be surveilled by law enforcement in order to uncover their entire network. The best example I can remember was an interviewer talking to a police commissioner about the apparent rise in crime due to expected heated rivalries between two drug rings. The police commissioner claimed that they had suspects and were carrying forward with their investigations and hoped that arrest could be made in the coming weeks or possibly a couple of months. The interviewer asked for the police commissioner to provide some names so as to prove they were investigating and potentially making progress and the police commissioner attempted to decline to reveal names for what he stated were ‘obvious reasons.’ The interviewer was not going to let go and kept demanding names until the police commissioner departed quite flustered and the reporter then turned to the camera and stated something like, ‘And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why our city is in so much trouble and crime is rampant, the police do not even know a single name of who is suspected of being behind any of these shootings.’ Every time I hear an interviewer stressing the ‘give me a name’ I reminded of, we are a polite site so I will limit my commentary, a thick skulled Precambrian life-form.

Back to the bad media Israel receives and how that simply feeds the hate Israel blame the Jews firsters. We are seeing one of the fiercest anti-Semitic storms emanating from the White House over the Iran Nuclear agreement. The ferocity with which the President and leftist media have gone after New York Senator Schumer has been vicious. This despite his silence after releasing the news of his choice to vote against the deal, something highly suspicious as Senator Schumer normally has been very active in lobbying people to vote as he prefers, but those efforts have been almost universally in support of White House proposals. All this effort is even stranger as news reports quoting White House sources have assured us that the President has gathered sufficient support to prevent an overriding of his veto once the legislation passes against the Iran Nuclear agreement. Additionally, there have been the linking Republican opposition to be ideological and an extension of their hatred of President Obama and is very similar to the hardliners in Iran who also oppose the deal. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be any hardliners opposing the deal in Iran where it had mostly been celebrated and the P5+1 Western nations ridiculed as inept and weak, completely folding before Iranian pressures. There have also been accusations that any voting down of the deal will be due simply to the unending and vicious assault from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and other right wing and Zionist extremists in Israel which is going to lead to even further isolation for Israel after the Iran deal is finalized in the coming weeks. There have been rumors that some of the pressure on Democrat lawmakers in the House and particularly in the Senate have been pressured by claiming that they do not want to appear unpatriotic and opposing the President. The onslaught on Israel, Senator Schumer and rising tides of anti-Semitism entering into politics and political discourse has raised some troubling questions. This has also led to more threats to bring charges against Israel in international courts and bring Israeli military and political leaders to trial for crimes against humanity, in particular against Arabs in Gaza or Judea and Samaria. There has been a petition circulating in Britain for the arrest and trial for crimes of various international crimes of Prime Minister Netanyahu when he makes a state visit in the coming days. One can only wonder how much longer before even Israeli citizens will be wary of traveling outside her borders for fear of charges being leveled against them simply because they are Israelis. As these political and social pressures which have been growing exponentially over time, how much longer before simply being Jewish, not even necessarily an Israeli or even a supporter of Israel, becomes a liability and eventually a threat to these individuals? There have been increasing assaults on Jews both inside and even more so outside of Israel. Where will this increased hatred lead and how much of a threat should it be considered. If history is any measure, then Israel is essential to the survival of the Jewish People as a safe zone unto which they will be able to escape. That too is another reason that the San Remo and ensuing promises must be honored and this must be demanded leading to the realization of Israeli borders meeting the promised borders from the British and the League of Nations as depicted below.

Map of the lands promised to the Zionist Congress and inviolable and sacrosanct for all time by Great Britain and the League of Nations as an addendum to the Mandate System which makes this promise also enforceable by the United Nations and considered equal to a treaty through Article 80 of the United Nations Charter. This was also considered as an element incorporated to the San Remo Conference which is also applicable in modern times.

United States Anger with Israeli Defense Minister Explains Everything

The first lesson learned one more time from the latest United States-Israeli dust-up is that politicians in office, especially high office such as a Cabinet Minister, need to guard their comments and do so even more so if such statements might go public. This truism holds for anything said in closed conversations, whenever one is wearing a microphone (even or especially if they believe it to be turned off), in any public place where people may overhear or in virtually any place other than home sleeping in bed, and even that might be reckless. Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon broke these protocols when he was heard by Daily newspaper Yediot Aharonot senior reporter Shimon Shiffer. Mr. Shiffer reported that he heard Defense Minister Yaalon state, that “the American security plan that was presented to us is not worth the paper it was written on. It contains neither security nor peace. Only our continued presence in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan River will guarantee that Ben Gurion Airport and Netanya do not become targets for missiles from every direction.” The report continued on Yaalon stating, “Secretary of State John Kerry – who came here very determined, and operates based upon an unfathomable obsession and a messianic feeling – cannot teach me anything about the Palestinians.”

Yaalon was quoted pointing out that Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas “lives on our sword. Once we leave Judea and Samaria, he is finished. In fact, throughout the recent months, there is no negotiation between us and the Palestinians – but rather, between us and the Americans. The only thing that can ‘save’ us is that John Kerry will get a Nobel peace prize and leave us alone.” Yaalon concluded, “I live and breathe the conflict with the Palestinians, I know what they think, what they want and what they really mean,” he went on. “The American security plan that was presented to us is not worth the paper it was written on.” The conversation Yaalon had reportedly with what was described as senior figures in the political sphere, a place Yaalon should have known would likely leak his comments, also included references to his opinions that Abbas will not give up on the Palestinian “right of return” until “the last refugee from 1948 is satisfied, and every single refugee will be able to choose between returning or staying in his current place of residence.” Yaalon continued by dismissing the security plan that was drawn up by US General John Allen experts claiming. “What are you talking about? You presented us with a plan that is based on smart technologies, satellites, sensors, war rooms with television screens – without our forces being present on the ground. And I ask you – how will your technology help us when a Salafist terror cell, or one from the Islamic Jihad, tries to carry out a terror attack against Israel targets? Who will take care of them? What satellites will take care of the rocket industry that is developing in Shechem, and [the rockets that] will be launched at Tel Aviv and the central region? In Gaza, the terror organizations already hold thousands of rockets that cover central Israel. These terror organizations have transferred knowledge and technologies for manufacturing rockets to the (West) Bank.” Yaalon concluded with, “If that does not change,” he said, “then there is no meaning to the satellites and the sensors that the Americans are offering. The five-year-old boy with the explosive belt will continue to try and hurt us when he grows up. We have given enough and received nothing…Let us say to our American friends: enough is enough.”

Needless to say, the response from the people in the Administration of United States President Obama voiced extreme displeasure with Minister Yaalon’s statements. State Department spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki gave a response to the press stating, “The remarks of the defense minister, if accurate, are offensive and inappropriate especially given all that the United States is doing to support Israel’s security needs. To question his motives and distort his proposals is not something we would expect from the defense minister of a close ally.”

This drew further statements from Israeli Defense Minister Yaalon who added, “Some things cannot be solved in one (day). Note that we still we have not solved all the problems of medicine and mathematics; it is not like we don’t have special challenges also facing us.” He also expressed the hope for Israelis, “not to panic and give in to these (comments) and other intimidation, because this is the only way to protect the security of Israel.”

As for the wisdom in airing out these difficulties as the Israeli Defense Minister observes as part and parcel of the current efforts by United States Secretary of State John Kerry and his entire peace forces who have made camp in Jerusalem since the beginning of the year may be questionably, but the sentiments and facts are real and deserve serious thought and not simply be brushed aside and ignored. The problems stated go to the heart of the problems with the so-called peace process from its inception with the Oslo Accords. There have been many quotes reporting in what current Chairman of the PLO and President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas as well as his predecessor, Yasser Arafat, have stated most often in Arabic and translated by MEMRI, (Middle East Media Research Institute) or PMW (Palestinian Media Watch) that their entire reason for entering into negotiations is to replace Israel with a Palestinian State which must be cleansed of all Jewish presence no matter how long such an effort takes. Furthermore, they have claimed that they plan on this destruction to be carried out in stages and that the peace process is but the first stage where they plan to achieve statehood as a beachhead and in the process retain the right to violently resist the occupation which can only end with the replacement and eradication of Israel by an Islamic Arab state. Abbas and numerous Palestinian officials have bluntly stated that they will remain in the current phase of negotiations until they have attained the release of as many of the terrorist held in Israeli prisons are released to continue the terror campaign against the Israelis and they do not plan on remaining at the table one moment longer than necessary. With such stated as the Palestinian goals for the current negotiations, I would love to hear how Secretary of State Kerry plans to arrange a peace with both parties signing even an interim framework agreement short of having a shotgun peace process with a gun to Abbas’s head. The answer, as we have stated before, is that Secretary Kerry and President Obama have no honest intent to force Abbas into any agreement and are simply trolling for how many concessions they can wring out of Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu and get his signature even without any Palestinian signature simply to have leverage to force Israel into their vision of a peace.

The problem which Defense Minister Yaalon alluded to is not at all new and has been the basis of the entire world’s efforts to form some semblance of a peace agreement between Israel and her Arab and Muslim neighbors. These problems go all the way back to the day Israel was founded and then immediately set upon by over a half a dozen Arab armies and militias with the intent of a genocidal ending of Israel and her Jewish population from the very outset. Initially the Arab and Muslim forces made some gains but the battle momentum was reversed and the nascent Israeli Defense Force, which was made up of groups from the underground resistance against the British colonization of the entire area under a mandate from the League of Nations and honored by the United Nations after World War II, and the Israelis were actually gaining ground and pushing their enemies into a retreat. It was almost immediately after the Israelis had achieved the upper hand that the United Nations and almost universally the nations of the entire globe demanded that the fighting stop and the armistice lines be drawn-up along the front lines at a set time after which all hostilities were to end. In the negotiations over this stoppage the Muslim Arab rulers demanded that this armistice line never be considered as a real border as they already were refusing to recognize Israel’s existence, especially as a Jewish State. This is the truth about how the Green Line came into being and explains the complete fallacy that the borders before the Six Day War in 1967 were a recognized official international border for the State of Israel.

The other side of the problem with the entire peace process as it has played out has been that as demands have been extracted from the Israeli side, the Palestinian side has yet to meet even the initial requirements from the Oslo Accords and thus have simply refused any and all demands made of their side. This has resulted in the same demands being made of the Palestinians at every incarnation of the peace process while new and more restrictive demands are constantly added to the litany of already completed and met demands from earlier peace attempts. It is by this whittling down that Israel has been squeezed to the point where we are now debating the division of Jerusalem and the surrender of all lands beyond the Green Line and even some form of Palestinian Arab “Right of Return” into Israel. When the first negotiations were held after the Six Day War none of these positions were even considered to be a logical result of those efforts. Even in 1993 when the Oslo Accords were signed there were no such demands as are being discussed today. The propaganda war against Israel carried out mostly by Muslims, Arabs, anti-Semites and far leftist groups the world over has brought to fruition results probably beyond their wildest dreams at the outset of their efforts. Every United States President who has set out to fashion that ever elusive Middle East peace has done so on the back of additional further Israeli retreats. With each incarnation eroding the Israeli position, why would the Palestinians not desire that every attempt fail so a new round could begin with the next administration in the United States which would simply add to the demands set at Israel’s door. The Palestinians are planning to murder the nation of Israel through countless small cuts waiting for Israel to bleed to death one concession after another. This has been so successful that even the wording of the earliest United Nations Security Council and General Assembly resolutions has been altered to now imply or reputedly state almost the opposite that the originating writers had intended, and many have attested to this strange fact. As Israeli Defense Minister described, the only peace the Palestinians will ever accept is the peace of the grave for the Jewish nature of Israel with it being supplanted by a new state of Palestine. The sole and best way the United States could display their reputed unshakable friendship and concern for Israeli security would be to wash their hands from all efforts to fashion a lasting peace between two states living side-by-side with security and peace for both and simply return home and let the two sides, the real two side of Israel and the Arab world, work out a solution once the Arab world reaches the understanding that Israel will continue to remain the Jewish State or Israel eventually falls under Muslim and Arab hostilities. Should the world continue to blame every ill in the universe, including the eventual death of our Sun, on the lack of an Israeli peace agreement with her neighbors, including the Palestinians, then the world will have the excuse it desires to not bother to ameliorate all the other problems in the world and take the easier route of demanding additional Israeli concessions while throwing more trillion upon trillions of dollars, euros and treasure at the Palestinians financing their terror campaigns. There is but one way this conflict will ever really end; that is with the surrender of one side and a recognized victory by the other side. If the United Nations and the world insist that every time the Israelis attain the upper hand that all fighting must immediately cease, then that sole result will be the eradication of Israel as nothing will stop the Muslim and Arab forces should they ever gain the upper hand. Consider that, all who claim to be friends of Israel; consider that.
