Arab Israel Peace Takes Turn for the Worse

 

United States Ambassador to Israel David Friedman and Palestinian Authority President has recently been battling in the media with exchanges of accusations and insult. The exchanges began with Ambassador David Friedman expressing dissatisfaction and sorrow over the fact that nobody from the leadership of the Palestinian Authority had spoken forth to condemn the series of deadly terror attacks that took the lives of three Israelis over the weekend. As a simple review, please allow us to review the events from this past weekend. On Friday March 16, 2018, an Arab terrorist rammed his vehicle into four soldiers and killed two Israeli soldiers in northern Samaria, and injured two more. The terrorist was caught and was injured and hospitalized while also facing interrogation. Our murdered soldiers were Captain Ziv Deus, 21, from the Azor Regional Council, and Sergeant Netanal Kahalani, 20, from the town of Eliakim. A third Israeli was murdered in the Old City part of Jerusalem when he was repeatedly stabbed. The victim was identified as 32-year-old Adiel Kolman, a father of four from the town of Kochav Hashahar. The terrorist fled the scene but was identified as 28-year-old Abed al-Rahman Bani Fa’adal, a resident of the Palestinian Authority-controlled town of Aqraba, near Shechem [Nabulus] and was found to have entered Israel with a valid entry permit.

 

These permits are provided to Palestinian Arabs so they are able to enter Israel and work. In this case the permit was reportedly a temporary entry permit, intended to allow Abed al-Rahman Bani Fa’adal to find work. It is more likely that the entry permit was applied for in order to carry out the attack and the terrorist lied in order to receive the permit. As long as you have no record of terror activity you are issued these permits. Fa’adal reportedly received several entry permits in the past. Abed al-Rahman Bani Fa’adal was faced at the scene of the attack and an officer who shot and killed him. Below is a picture of the knife used to murder Adiel Kolman, the father of four from the town of Kochav Hashahar. The reason behind Ambassador David Friedman’s distress likely stems from that in the past, at the very least Mahmoud Abbas would make some statement condemning acts of terror and express (false) sympathy for the immediate family of those slain. It is realized that Abbas will continue to grant pension style funding to the terrorist in prison or the family of those slain terrorists commensurate with the number of Israelis murdered with other bonuses for special considerations. The lack of even the pretend sympathy is a further sign that all civility between the United States and the Palestinian Authority are gone and the United States will not be considered as equal to the Israelis living beyond the Green Line. These Israelis reside in Area C on lands that are legally intended for Israel to possess. The sliding scale which Yasser Arafat perfected and Mahmoud Abbas has continued has convinced the world that Israel is encroaching on lands which belonged to a nation called Palestine which was a victim in the Six Day War. The problem is there was no nation of Palestine nor has there ever been such a nation. The lands between the Green Line and the Jordan River were occupied Israeli lands by right of the San Remo Convention and numerous treaties since including Article 80 of the United Nations Charter. The occupying power was Jordan who when signing their peace treaty with Israel forfeited any claims to these lands which means there is no actual legal controversy, these lands all belong to Israel unless she recognizes another owner to whom she gifts lands such as was the case with Gaza which was turned over to the Palestinian Authority who subsequently lost it in a coup to Hamas. The rest is, as they say, history.

 

Knife Used to Murder Adiel Kolman the Father of Four

 

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas responded on Monday to Ambassador David Friedman’s comments on the lack of condemnation of the weekend terror attacks. In very informal and unacceptable language, Mahmoud Abbas referred to Ambassador Friedman as a “son of a dog, settler.” This is referencing of Jews as the offspring of apes, or sometimes simply monkeys, and pigs. In Islam additionally dogs are considered an unclean animal which they are advised to avoid contact with. Thus calling Friedman the offspring of a dog, he avoided using the usual denotation for somebody who is Jewish using Dog instead of Ape or Pig. Abbas was still insulting the American Ambassador and went further to call him a settler and his family to be settlers in his Ramallah speech where Abbas said, “The United States legitimizes settlements. That’s what American officials do, and at their head, in Tel Aviv, is David Friedman. He said, ‘They’re building on their own land.’ The son of a dog, they’re building on their own land? He himself is a settler, and his entire family are settlers.” This name calling and using an unclean animal could easily make them a legitimate target for a terror attack in the minds of Palestinians. Some terrorist may go so far as to decide that he will strike this “dog settler” and rid Abbas of this thing which is obviously unclean and residing on stolen lands. The American Ambassador’s apartment is in West Jerusalem, not in East Jerusalem, which does not matter to Mahmoud Abbas as he considers Tel Aviv residents to be Jews living on occupied Palestinian Lands. Mahmoud Abbas and the majority, if not all, of the Palestinian Authority, the PLO and Fatah Party leadership view all of Israel as rightfully theirs. This is what they mean when they refer to the seventy years of occupation as Mahmoud Abbas consistently states at the United Nations without even a peep of opposition. The video below is from the official Palestinian Authority television broadcast station from March 11, 2016, just over two year ago. In this video near the forty-second mark is where Abbas refers to what he called their occupation for 67 or 68 years which takes us back to 1948 when Israel was established. When Abbas states he wants to go back to before there were lines, he desires a return to Ottoman Rule where the Muslims ruled all of the lands from Turkey. Jerusalem was home to a majority Jewish population and Jews were permitted to reside anywhere in Jerusalem. Abbas has even denoted that he desires to return to May 13, 1948, one day before Israel declared her independent existence and when six Arab armies supported by a number of militias all attacked Israel and when she lost Gaza to Egypt and Judea and Samaria to Jordan. But Abbas simply desires to erase Israel from any lands and existence.

 

 

Needless to say, American Ambassador Friedman did not take the slight from Abbas well. As a matter of fact, he made it the central theme of his opening remarks to the Sixth Global Forum for Combating Antisemitism (see video below). Ambassador Friedman stated to the Global Forum for Combating Anti-Semitism, “Three Jews were killed in cold blood by the Palestinian terrorists, and the reaction from the Palestinian Authority was deafening. No condemnation whatsoever. I pointed that out, without further adjectives, without further commentary. Abu Mazen (Abbas) chose to respond. … His response was to refer to me as the ‘son of a dog.’ Anti-Semitism or political discourse? Not for me to judge. I’ll leave that all up to you.” One can easily assume how the attendees at the Sixth Global Forum for Combating Antisemitism would react to this dangerous game and name-calling.

 

 

Meanwhile, Israeli leaders have let their feelings be aired, with Education Minister Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home) saying, “David, after just one year in office, we can already see that you’re going to go down in Israel’s history as a true friend of the State of Israel.” Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu responded, “Abu Mazen’s remarks about US Ambassador David Friedman say everything. This is the first time in decades that the US government is no longer spoiling the Palestinian leaders, and he’s telling them: enough. Apparently the shock of hearing the truth made them lose their senses.” Our additional words will be quotes from Giulio Meotti where in his article 14 New Israeli Orphans in One Month where he states “In just one month in Israel, the same scene took place three times in three different locations: Har Bracha, Havat Gilad and Kochav Hachachar.”

  1) Hundreds of people crowded in a cemetery, sometimes an improvised one.
  2) The victims, all young Israelis, civilians, fathers, husbands.
  3) Killed by Palestinian Arab terrorists just because they were Jews.
  4) Families in agony.
  5) Young wives and mothers in mourning, small communities devastated by the violent death shattering the sense of security.
  6) No condemnation by Palestinian “peace partners”.
  7) Faint, inaudible voices from Europe.
  8) Horrendous newspaper titles.
  “Western ears and eyes are full of images of Palestinian Arab youths, often impostors like Ahed Tamimi, the darling of the “popular Intifada”, but never of these 14 Israeli orphans. Double orphans. Their fathers killed twice. First by the terrorists. Then by Western indifference.”

 

Giulio Meotti struck the vital chord in this saga, the reactions in the Western World and the reason they are so jaded. They are shown scenes of people starving or standing before a half destroyed building weeping for their loss. Every one of these stories tells of Palestinian troubles and hardships. You will see a Palestinian mother whose son, a terrorist, was killed while perpetrating a terror attack aboard a Jerusalem bus in October of 2015 and said she hoped her other sons would follow in his footsteps, and, with knife in hand, announced her intention to carry out her own attack against Israelis. The next video is from July 22, 2009, and depicts a mother before and after her son commits an act of terrorism seeking to be killed by Israeli troops. One might ask what gain is there in being killed by IDF troops or police while you are in an act of terror murdering innocents who are usually not armed. The reason is obvious, it brings honor to your family and guarantees them a far better wage for their son dead than he could make while living. Many of the terrorists when captured claim that there are no decent jobs even with the Palestinian Authority government and the stipend granted the family of a martyr is far greater than even a good job would pay in their society. They give their lives so their family can have a better life. If they commit a sufficiently violent crime killing many Israelis leading to their house, their family’s house, being demolished, the Palestinian authority builds them a new house. So it could be two benefits, a new house and a high stipend salary earned each month by their now dead son. She also states her wish to have one-hundred sons to sacrifice to Allah. What religion do you know where you sacrifice your children to your deity? Think about this religion existing in our modern world where sacrificing your children to your deity, to your god. And this idea of sacrificing children to Allah is not new and exists throughout much of Islamic culture and lands. An entire webpage is dedicated to such exuberance from parents of martyrs, for any wishing to see more. We do not even wish to think about this any further; it sickens us.

 

 

The terror war in Israel is unfortunately continuing at a higher than acceptable pace. Hamas is still taking all the cement and bracing lumber to make their tunnels into Israel and Israel continues to destroy them as they are detected. Hamas has invested anywhere from two to five million Euros on each tunnel and Israel destroys a tunnel almost every week and two on a good week. That is a lot of time and effort and steals from the people in Gaza who also need these supplies to rebuild their homes and lives. Below is a picture of one of the discovered tunnels which was subsequently destroyed.

Hamas could build apartment buildings and it is estimated that the cost and supplies utilized in building one tunnel which Israel finds and destroys could have built three schools or five clinics or almost two hospitals. These estimates do not include the entire network of underground bunkers and interconnecting tunnel structures which are underneath Gaza City, Rafah, and Khan Yunis as well as the refugee camp. Why there is a refugee camp in Gaza is beyond our understanding, as there is little if any difference between the people in the camp and those outside the camp except those inside the camp eat even if they have no job, those outside the camp do not have that privilege. These UNRWA camps have found a means of destroying any possibility for civility between them and those outside their camps throughout the Arab world. Much of this has to do with the refugees selling off items, which UNRWA replaces freely, making a tidy profit off their fellow Arabs. Additionally, the refugees receive a stipend so as to provide them some dignity despite not having steady jobs as these camps often are closed holding the refugees within as in the past when they were permitted free movement a fairly large number fled to start life over and live a normal life. Still, others have adopted the life of living off the largess gifted them by UNRWA and are in their third or fourth generation exploiting the charity of the world. President Trump decided the United States was not going to further invest in this wasteful system and ended United States UNRWA aid monies. We should end on that one good sliver of hope.

Israel Must Answer Threats and Enforce the Law

 

Israel is being challenged by what has been termed as the Third Intifada by Israelis and likely a fair to large percentage of Arabs and the Stabbing Intifada by the ever more descriptive and often more morbid Islamists Arabs who are supportive of the violence and actively support the drive to remove the Jews and replace Israel with their mythical state of Palestine. The Arab Palestinian Islamists take great pride and even a morbid fascination in how the world reacts to their violence and extremist demands along with their interactional unapologetic violence and instead of decrying their uncivilized threats to civilized societal behavior by threatening the lives of innocent civilians they decry any attempts to enforce the law or any other steps deemed necessary to protect the public such as adding checkpoints at all places where the public mass such as malls, theaters, bus stops, light rail spots, public functions and other place deemed as potential targets for the extreme terror assaults using knives, firearms, vehicles or potentially homicidal suicide bombers should Hamas suggestions for such attacks and additionally any following of the other Hamas suggestion of placing poison on their knife blades adding to their potential for lethality. Anywhere else on planet Earth which would face such a challenge to the public safety would be met with sympathy and understanding from the rest of the world and there would be unquestioned support for any and all steps used to restore civility and safety for all members of the society. The Israeli public, not just Jews, but the entirety of those living, working, studying or visiting Israel are in risk of being targeted by these horrific terror attacks. One hopes that there exists a silent plurality if not majority who are just as appalled and horrified by the assault on society which has been slowly escalating since immediately before the Jewish High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with much of the violence centered on the Temple Mount with the aim of denying the ability for Jews to ascend to visit the holiest place on Earth in the Jewish religion. From there the violence spread out beyond the central place in Jerusalem out across the remainder of Jerusalem and also out into the areas both within and outside the Green Line, thus so much for it being the “occupation” as some of the attacks occurred within the Tel Aviv metropolitan area and in the central northern Galilee. What has also been omitted from most of the media reporting we have seen from outside of Israel has been the nearly endless rock throwing at vehicles on the roads and highways in Judea and Samaria with many reaching back over numerous years numbering over a dozen but mostly not reported upon because the rock attacks became the definition for normal and thus were ignored by and large. Now the knifing attacks are attempting to follow the same path of becoming a commonplace part of life in Israel and thus not worthy of being reported as such things becoming normative.

 

There will be those who will claim that if Israel would simply give the Arabs their own state then everything would be just fine and the terrorist attacks would end. That worked so well when Israel pulled every last Jew and every troop, police and other presence from Gaza turning it over to Mahmoud Abbas and the Arab Palestinian Authority (PA) who almost immediately lost it in a coup to Hamas who has launched rocket offensives at a rate averaging of at least every other summer with the numbers of rockets per day in the hundreds and exceeding one thousand each week and once Israel responded by using the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) was immediately met with a drastic increase of rockets fired per day. This past summer if not for the miraculous precision of the Israeli developed anti-missile Iron Dome systems and at least one case of divine intervention (the story of how central Tel Aviv was rescued when the anti-missile system failed is worth a read) there would easily have been thousands if not tens of thousands of Israeli dead from the rocket barrages. Of course the one matter during Operation Protective Edge was all about the lack of dead Israelis, or as one media reporter asked allowing a slip of the tongue, lack of dead Jews, compared to the numbers of Arabs that Hamas managed to place in harm’s way by firing rockets from next to or even on top of shelters, schools, hospitals, clinics, residences and anywhere else which would cause damage to infrastructure and homes or place civilians in danger resulting in casualties not to mention the number of rockets Hamas and Islamic Jihad fired which never cleared the border striking instead within Gaza with one striking one of the Gaza Hospitals. If these actions by Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the other terror factions in Gaza act when the Jews and all other Israeli interests have been removed, why would anybody believe for a second that should Israel turn Judea and Samaria over to Abbas that he would not simply hand it over to Hamas or Islamic State as soon as either challenged his forces or that Abbas and friends would be any different. The real problem is Abbas has already promised to continue with the armed conflict, translates to murdering Jews, until all of his pretend Arab state of Palestine has been liberated, and by that he means all of Israel as depicted in the pictures below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The violence has been driven by incitement which has come from the very top of Fatah Party, the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) as well as from the PA itself including Mahmoud Abbas as in the video below where he refers to the “Jews Have No Right to Defile the Al Aqsa Mosque with Their Filthy Feet” despite knowing full well that no Jew has even approached the al-Aqsa Mosque with the possible exception of Israeli security forces though the majority of these police are Druze and other non-Jewish members of the force in order to avoid such confrontations. Abbas also praised the “men and women in rabat. We salute every drop of blood spilled for the sake of Jerusalem. This blood is clean, pure blood, shed for the sake of Allah.” Abbas continues saluting the martyrs and those a who were merely wounded and thus not achieving martyrdom before getting around to denouncing the Jews, but you can read and see it all for yourselves as we again give you the most quoted video of the past few weeks which relates to the instigation which is above and beyond the near constant incitement which permeates the entirety of Arab society in the PA through camps, schools, videos, music and virtually everywhere the youth can be reached and brainwashed. But first Chairman Abbas who heads virtually every organization from the PLO to Fatah to the PA and thus his words carry additional weight, or if not why is he then a partner worth negotiating with.

 

 

 

 

The PA had not been resting on their achievements as Abbas has been active speaking before a special session of UNESCO where he made great efforts to attempt to have the boundaries of the al-Aqsa Mosque increased from covering the entirety of the Temple Mount to have it cover all of the Old City of Jerusalem and specifically the Western Wall and Kotel Plaza where Jews gather to pray as close as they are able to be and still permitted prayer as any Jews ascending the Temple Mount is denied the right to pray and are always under constant observations to assure they do not even squint, close their eyes for more than a second or two or especially move their lips without making obvious conversation and should any Jew dare to pray they are arrested and barred from the Temple Mount for often a minimum of six months. UNESCO refuted the claim for al-Aqsa to include the Western Wall but did grant the coverage for much of the Old City though the definition will need to be granted before any definitive decisions can be stated as fact. Abbas then traveled for a special meeting of the Human Rights Council where he presented charges against Israel seeking their denunciation of Israel, an actual waste of time as they already perform this function regularly as if it was a tradition to be observed. He then pleaded with the United Nations to provide security forces to protect the PA Arabs from the Israeli persecution as it should be enforced that the Israeli security and law enforcement forces are not permitted to interfere with the attacks and murderous intents of Arab terrorists who should be free to do as they desire and murder more Jews without interference, after all, terrorists have feelings too and they deserve to be permitted to realize their aspirations. One wonders how they could ever become martyrs if the Israelis are barred from defending themselves or their enforcement personnel from applying the law throughout the land and protecting all the peoples from threats and attacks from those who are seeking martyrdom to serve Allah. Should the United Nations in their infinite mediocrity decide to actually send international troops to presumably defend the Arabs from some presumably racist squad of murderers who have been shooting innocent Arab men for no reason simply on the circumstantial evidence that they are holding a knife chasing after a bleeding person and blood dripping from their raised knife; what else could be more demanding than for the United Nations to provide troops to protect that person carrying and running with a bloodied blade, after all they might trip and stab themselves as well as any Israeli they can catch. Perhaps Abbas should go straight to the Arab and Muslim world and request they send such troops to protect the right of Arabs to murder freely and bring pride to their family who might have received more money and greater pride had they tripped and fatally wounded themselves making themselves martyrs.

This was the cartoon which festooned the Facebook pages and homepage of the Palestinian Authority as well as the Fatah Party homepage, both organizations headed by Mahmoud Abbas who has editorial approval for all posts presumably.

The fear is that the United Nations might take a vote in the General Assembly which would readily pass a resolution approving for any United Nations countries wishing to assist with the keeping of order that protects and defends the Arab rights to pursue their privilege of special recognition within the society and secure their families receive the generous rewards given the most valued family members of those who attain status as shahids. What could be any more obvious that the Arabs must be permitted to become shahids if they so choose as it is the right of every Arab both in the PA controlled territories, Jerusalem, Gaza, Judea, Samaria and even within Green Line Israel to reach for the greatest privilege and respect which a family and individual receive when one achieves the status as a shahids, a martyr in the plain and course languages such as English. What happens when some of these potential shahids find out that the only path open to achieve this respected place of privilege is to attack the protection force placing them in a position where they must defend themselves against such attacks and resort to shooting these attackers granting them their wish to become shahids? We can tell you what will happen. The United Nations approved troops will become the new enforcers of the peace. Maybe it is for the best that the Israelis would never allow these troops entry and the General Assembly does not have the power of binding resolution such that as soon as any member nation declines the resolution from the General Assembly the resolution loses all power and is made null and void, very much like when the Arab League refused to accept United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181 from November 29, 1947 which called for the partition of the lands from the British Mandate west of the Jordan River to form an Arab and Jewish States but the Arabs preferred to attack the nascent Jewish State in an attempt at genocidally removing it from the map on its first day of life. After that idea failed, as did two more attempts to push the Jews into the sea, the Arabs have put forth that they should be permitted to reverse their decision to refuse Resolution 181 and have it enacted today over a half a century later after their decision to reject it actually permanently nullified the resolution making it null and void. Live and learn and watch as the idea of imposing United Nations troops anywhere within the lands under Israeli protection, which is all of the land west of Jordan, and they are not even permitted to exit their plane or cross the Allenby Bridge, whichever route they use to attempt entry, and that should about close the deal right there. Chalk up another failure of either Abbas, the United Nations, or conceivably both.

The Great Tragedy Ignored by the Whole World

The situation in Iraq resulting from the Islamists of ISIS and their reign of terror and inhumanity across the swaths they have brutally spewed their own twisted idea of Islamic purity is desperate and getting more desperate day by day. We refuse to give them their claimed Caliphate recognition as these are barbarous heathens without even a shred of humanity or compassion and are worthy only of contempt. Any description I might feebly attempt to describe their barbarity and the horrific treatment with which they have tormented the Christians, Yezidis and everybody else who fail their purity tests proving they practice their exact idea of Sunni Islam would not do their victims torture and torment justice. Perhaps the video below or linked here can provide some degree of clarity which is beyond description.

 

 

What I can express is the disgust and anger which decent people will feel should they actually become informed of the horrors being perpetrated in Iraq and Syria by ISIS over the lack of action or concern by the rest of the world, especially the United Nations and the supposedly advanced and civilized Western nations. Some credit might be granted to President Obama and the United States airmen who are finally coordinating with the Kurdish Peshmerga Militias who have established and are assisting the Christians, Yezidis and others who were stranded among the Shingal Mountains. Instead the European Union and the United Nations are almost singularly transfixed on the Hamas Israel conflict and their desire to execute Israel for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Perhaps these righteously holier than thou purveyors of all that is holy might want to investigate the horrendous crimes in Iraq and Syria by ISIS as well as Bashir al-Assad and the Syrian military.

 

It is not as if there are no authorities reporting to the United Nations and any international leaders who might care to investigate about the atrocities taking place in Iraq in particular. There are the reports from the Special Representative of the UN’s Secretary-General on Sexual Violence (SRSG) in Conflict Zainab Hawa Bangura along with Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Iraq Nickolay Mladenov who have reported, “We are gravely concerned by continued reports of acts of violence, including sexual violence against women and teenage girls and boys belonging to Iraqi minorities. Atrocious accounts of abduction and detention of Yazidi, Christian, as well as Turkomen and Shabak women, girls and boys, and reports of savage rapes, are reaching us in an alarming manner.” Their reports also document that possibly as many as one-thousand-five-hundred Yazidis and Christians have very likely been forced into sexual slavery. Other reports, as seen in the video, tell of young girls who were rape victims committing suicide jumping from the cliffs as they were unable to live with their shamed and damaged lives.

 

The horrors inflicted on these girls were done intending to make them unsuitable for marriage within their society and to shame them and their families. ISIS aims to destroy every fiber of society in order to destroy their capabilities to resist allowing them to rebuild from the ruins a society in the image they believe is demanded of them by their religious beliefs. The challenge for those residing under any area that falls under ISIS control is unachievable as the legions that populate ISIS define Islam in a manner which serves their actions and which may not concur with even other Sunni Muslims thus making it impossible for those they challenge to prove their faithfulness to answer or, in some cases, even understand their challenges, let alone answer them in an acceptable manner. The question which must be asked is will any actions be taken to bring by the so-called civilized world with all their high and mighty indignation over Israeli actions in defending their people actually apply any of that righteous indignation to focus on this real and continuing disaster caused by ISIS. Unfortunately, the answer is likely to be no, nothing will be done to address the horrors resulting from ISIS and the purification of the lands they have occupied because every ounce of their energies and indignations is reserved for Israel and forcing her surrender to the outrageous demands of the Hamas terror masters.
