Where Could We Put One and Have it be Safe?

Whatever you think of the current American President, there is one fact that cannot be contested, his has been the most reviled, contested, despised and opposed Presidency by everyone except the electorate, and even there his supporters are from that group properly called the silent majority, or silent plurality. One thing for certain, those who are lamenting his election are boisterous, vociferous, persistent, and completely unhinged. No previous President has faced such obstruction from the existing bureaucracy, the opposition party, the Resistance (as they call themselves), the media, academia and so many other areas. Certainly there should be a monument to the least deserved and least desired and most unlikely President in all of American history. He is loathed more than Abraham Lincoln was by the establishment in his day, been called nastier names than even Jimmy Carter received, had more calls for his impeachment than did Richard Nixon, accused of more scandals than Ulysses S Grant, and been considered to be the greatest usurper in all of history. Any single person capable of exuding such emotional outbursts from so many people sending them into such beyond reason convulsions of pure insanity must be deserving of a monument, and something more glorious than simply tall buildings with his name on them, Trump Towers. The only other entity who has engendered equal disrespect and admiration at the same time was Homer Simpson, and he had to be invented, where Donald Trump invented himself.

Perhaps such a monument could be designed so as to satisfy both the detractors and supporters. That would be a challenge but somebody just might be up to the challenge. But while the Secret Service, right, we’re kidding, is out seeking this design genius, why not work on the big problem, location, location, location. Obviously the Nation’s Capital Washington D.C. is out as it is Deep State and far-left central, these would never accept such a monument. Factually, both coasts and large cities in the north of the mid-west such as Cleveland and Chicago are completely out as being Democrat central locations which went totally Hillary Clinton in the election and are still suffering withdrawal and reality deprivations syndrome (RDS). Perhaps the monument might be erected outside of Reno or Las Vegas, Nevada where it might simply appear as another attraction and would receive minimal notice in a century or two, until then the protesters trying to burn the monument to the ground might just draw some undesired attentions. There is a location outside Tulsa, Oklahoma nearest to Sand Springs, Oklahoma where there was planned to erect a 217 foot (66 meter) bronze statue of a Native American called The American which was never constructed and is kind of out of the well-beaten-path to satisfy the leftists who would demand such. Such a monument would serve the original purpose of the American and the statue or monument commemorating Donald Trump might even continue to have the same name, if Congress could ever come to realize that Donald Trump actually is an American. If we are not mistaken, Oklahoma went for President Trump and was recently rated as the second most conservative state behind Wyoming and slightly ahead of Mississippi (see map below). Actually, there we have three states which might actually compete for the honor, in their opinions, to host just such a monument and see it as a great honor, though Wyoming is population challenged and would lose any write-in contest. But this article couldn’t be about a monument or statue to President Trump, so what could we be trying to say at this point? Well, continue reading my friends.

Conservative and Liberal Ideology by State 2016

Conservative and Liberal Ideology by State 2016

There have been calls across Europe and the United States to remove every statue of any person who offends the sensitivities of anyone who matters, translated meaning anyone from the leftist side of the political spectrum, though if things were permitted to be close to fair, then each location would be permitted to retain the statues they value, but this is not about fair, it is about imposing the rules designed by the left, for the left, to promote the left and give the left supremacy over conservatives and all else. The southern states who were part of the Confederacy and value their hometown heroes for fighting the righteous fight against all odds are never to be permitted their history, as they have been deemed evil by the overlords of propriety. The leftists do not demand much, just the right to determine what can be taught to the next generation, what is permitted in the newspapers of record (NYT and close affiliates), what can be permitted to be shown on cable networks, and who can be permitted to be immortalized on monuments and statues using not the standards of their day but the leftist standards of the moment. What they are unaware of is that as time passes and the ideals and standards of the future are revealed, even their heroes and most wonderful of individuals will wilt before the changing values and progress will sooner or later bring them into disregard and thus destroy all records of the past. Were the world to fall into this trap it would face an even worse and catastrophic reality, the past would be erased and all its warnings would disappear with it and this would open up doors to disasters beyond imagination. If anyone could find something from the past over two hundred years of age, that will stand the test of time, please suggest them in our comments, please.

We thought we might give a list of things from such a past which there have already been calls for their elimination and to be thrown into the dustbin of history, as they no longer make any contribution to our societies and the modern age. The Old Testament tops the list in items demanded to be thrown out, as it does not measure up to modern standards. The Magna Carter is another of those old, dusty documents which are no longer necessary. There was one professor who decided to make the call easier for all of us and simply stated that any document written on animal skins was an abomination and insult to the modern mind, which of course means that anything written on parchment must go. Let us give you a short list of such items, Torah, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. The Second Amendment and of late the First Amendment, especially Freedom of Speech have all come under attack with suggestions that all firearms and weapons be kept safely by the government, and speech be limited and altered to read freedom from offense. Unfortunately for conservatives and the religious, their sensitivities are not amongst those to be considered and when they suddenly find themselves offended they will be informed that they are not being insulted but rather they are being instructed and educated in the proper means of how to think. The society will be facing right-think which will only encompass, indulge and convenience leftist social contrivances and traditions be damned, and they would become exactly that, damned. Belief in the Creator would be ridiculed and disappear from all polite conversation and those speaking of such would result in reeducation or complete exile from society. There would be reservations where those who held to provincial ideas and ideals and whose minds were stuck in the past would be relegated so as not to contaminate their betters in society who were the deciders of all which was to be considered acceptable. Societies where the leadership believes that they are the holders of the sole truths and cannot ever be countered and they are correct beyond question are societies which will soon find themselves falling down a rabbit hole never to return.

Every great document allowed for some measure of interpretation which would permit changes with time and the finest of documents left hints as to the best paths to pursue and which travels should be avoided at all costs. The item and concept of slavery has been a hot button issue in the news of late and was implied to be used as a filter for the expositor of propriety. Let us begin with what the Torah stated about slavery and its properness for the future. Slaves in the Torah were to be freed and returned to their lands every seventh year. This was intended to make slavery less enriching and temporary and with an intention to eventually make it no longer have any relevance. Torah gave a strong hint that slavery was not something to be permanent and that it wished for a future, the sooner the better, where slavery was no more. The United States Constitution also made it such that slavery would not become a means for attaining power. The three-fifths rule has long been misinterpreted. Frederick Douglass probably had the most to say and understand having suffered slavery and educating himself becoming probably the greatest spokesperson favoring the United States Constitution and the three-fifths clause as the greatest anti-slavery document in history which he explained and can be read here. The Torah and the United States Constitution were both written with full knowledge of the savagery and dehumanizing character of slavery and intended to destroy the institution using time and limitations which would permit the natural demise of slavery as society and human nature matured and realized the inhumanity of the practice. Slavery was going to reach the end of its usefulness with the coming of the industrial revolution when machines would outperform hundreds of people and the operators of the machines required particular skills which would garner a salary. Their designs to end slavery were subtle and encoded in such a manner such as to appear acceptable to those who demanded slaves to make their wealth while always allowing hope to those who opposed slavery as an inhuman practice. Still, these two documents have always been falsely decried as supportive of slavery when in fact they were designed to be exactly the opposite.

There is also the confusion over the Bill of Rights. There is confusion over Freedom of Speech versus Freedom from Offense and the even larger misconception that the Second Amendment is about hunting or protecting one’s home from criminals. The Second Amendment is all about protecting the individual from the overbearing interventions of the government and was meant to permit the people the ability to resist government. The idea is in a society where the people have firearms the government fears the people but in a society where the government had the weapons then the people fear the government. The United States was designed for the government to fear the people, not the other way around. But these and other such misconceptions and lies must await another time as we are attempting to be less wordy and having unfortunately limited results, but will continue to try.

If We Lose then Everybody Loses

The demonstrations (riots) occurring across the United States largely in the major cities, especially Democrat Party strongholds claiming that Trump is not, can not and never will be their President refuse to abate. Apart from this being a definite example of delusional denial, it is also much ado about nothing as the rules on how the office of President is chosen has been known for well over two-hundred years and all contenders understood the rules going in. It is not like Hillary Clinton has even shown the slightest designs or desires to challenge the results. There has been a number of disgusting results turn from these examples of bad behavior with one of the most egregious was the beating of a fifteen year old Rockville, Maryland High School student by numerous classmates for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat. This was far from the only casualty from the protests where stores have been breached with their windows smashed and merchandise stolen. In one case a Starbucks Coffee store was broken into and coffee mugs were stolen and used as projectiles thrown at the police. Numerous other reports have surfaced of Trump supporters or just some refusing to join the protests being pummeled and beaten simply for not agreeing with the mob. For those who agree with these activities I have a simple question, what would your reaction have been if Hillary Clinton had won the Electoral College vote but lost narrowly in the popular vote and Trump supporters took to the streets rioting and beating Hillary supporters? If that would have struck you as indefensible, as I would hope it would, why are the current malcontents then tolerated. If Hillary supporters and all who voted for any of the candidates other than Trump, especially respected members of those groups, would come out and denounce these rioters then perhaps the United States could start working towards healing.

Civility is the basis for civilization and what allows disparate groups to coexist despite differing opinions. Elections are presumably the peaceful means for choosing leaders which has presumably been accepted as a replacement for generals or others leading their band of armed insurrectionists and taking the seat of power by force. That is the alternative which these demonstrators, especially those causing damage and beating anyone thought to be from the opposition, and the reason elections were initiated. Changing government by revolution every time a sizeable and well-armed group decided they should lead coming in and murdering the current leaders and destroying much of the capital city and sometimes leading to a major civil war destroying much of the kingdom all just to make a transition in power might be considered paying too high a price when compared to simply voting. Is this the system which is now being proposed by those rioting in the streets? Do any of them really believe they are going to get their way and Hillary Clinton will suddenly become the next President because they are rioting and destroying property? Lastly, what gives with the governors and mayors who are permitting such lawlessness? And lastly, enough with the ridiculous Trump supports the KKK or the Nazis or white supremacists of any stripe. That is no more true than Hillary Clinton being called a Communist or an Anarchist simply because some well-know Communist sympathizers or Anarchists came out supporting her, as I am sure there were at least a few. Just because some malcontent from any extreme on the political spectrum comes out in support does not make the candidate a supporter of the extremists represented by the particular claim of support. We do not control which crazies support a candidate and often cannot fathom even why there might be any reason for such support. Donald Trump has little to no actions in his past which infer in the slightest that he has a bigoted bone in his body. He is not a racist, anti-Semite, homophobe, sexist or even misogynist, though some might try to argue the last due to his action in decades past when male-female relations were quite different than today.

Then there is the claim that the Electoral College is unfair as it grants a resident of Wyoming as carrying greater weight than a resident of California or Texas or New York or even Alaska. Oddly enough, that was the whole idea of the Electoral College. When the Constitution was drawn up the founding Fathers realized quite quickly that any candidate for President if they could win New York and Virginia by wide margins could lose nine of the remaining eleven states and still win the election. This, in their thoughtful minds, seemed to give Virginia and New York far too much power and they needed all the states to sign onto the new Constitution. Remember the Federated States of America was the dysfunctional governance where the Federal government was too weak to run the nation and the country was disintegrating. The Constitution was the grand compromise which gave the smaller states significant additional representation in choosing a President simply by adding two Electoral Votes, one for each Senator, to the number of Representatives and thus making it so all the states would be represented in the White House. As the United States grew and Wyoming became the least settled state per square mile, Wyoming receives the greatest benefit of the Electoral College system and California is likely harmed the most followed by Texas, but it all works in the end as Wyoming still has but three Electoral Votes and is seldom the deciding state. We need remember that without the Electoral College system the United States would never have come into being and the Federated States of America would have dissolved into individual states and more resembled Europe economically, militarily and in all too many other ways, Alaska would still be a part of Russia, Hawaii would still be a Spanish colony or an independent nation, Texas would either be its own nation or still part of Mexico after Santa Anna beat the Texas militias. And Wyoming would still be Wyoming all alone and pretty much ignored as nobody would want to take the time or energy to conquer her. Wyoming would be pretty much unchanged as any invading army would need to defeat a number of states before reaching Wyoming and then would stand little chance against the mountain men who know their woodlands and highlands very well and live as they please even now. Lastly, Wyoming has some of the most breathtaking views that can be found anywhere within the United States, and that comes from having lived there.

In closing, can we do something which has gotten the United States through tougher and more distressing times than anything a President Trump can cause. The country is nowhere near as divided as many seem to wish to have it appear. You might have heard of this other time when brother took up arms against brother and the nation was divided into the blue and the grey and we fought a Civil War, a real Civil War and not just civil unrest. We realize you believe you are fighting a civil war, but trust that you are not and should you actually become that violent, well, let us just warn that you would not like how that would end. The United States survived President Grant, it survived President James K. Polk who did not even campaign but was elected due to two things, the party he represented had the election in the bag and his opponent ran on the slogan of, “Who the h3ll is James K. Polk?” Perhaps if his opponent, who is just as nameless today as then, had campaigned with his name in a slogan instead of his opposition, perhaps he might have won but instead all anyone knew was both sides were preoccupied with James K. Polk. He ran against Henry Clay who was one of the founding members of the Whig Party. We even survived a President who pretended to have a middle name, well, middle initial because all the great Presidents had a middle name. Thus we had President Harry S (for nothing) Truman sometimes stated by his contemporaries as Harry ask for nothing Truman because persuading Harry Truman was wasted effort as he drew his own course and never deviated from a decision and was the reason for a sign on his desk which faced the door reading, “The Buck Stops Here.” We survived a President who was an avid big game hunter, went hunting with the Czar of Russia and spent as little time in Washington as possible, a man who despite great wealth gathered a group of roughnecks and went to war because it would be jolly fun, yep, President Theodore Roosevelt. The United States has survived virtually every kind of President imaginable, Harvard educated, Yale educated and self-taught, raised in luxury and poverty, military men and pacifists and somehow the United States has developed a life of its own which manages to always return to a central pillar based on equal freedoms being granted to ever wider portions of the nation’s peoples. One example was due to President elect Donald Trump who opened his Palm Beach resort called Mar-a-Lago; he insisted that it be opened to everybody including specifically Jews and Blacks, something never permitted in “exclusive” resorts, clubs and other venues breaking this barrier which held into the 1990s. The outrageous fact here is not that it was Donald Trump who broke the barrier and fought a running battle with the city officials for over a decade because of his inclusive policies but that Palm Beach had such rules in place into the 1990s and was still regarded as an all American resort town, now that is unbelievable and a truth that needs more emphasis. Still, if we all calm down we will survive the coming four years and then we can review whether Donald Trump was more President or clown and if clown, replace him and get on with life. Thank you.

Republicans Need a Real, Honest and True Blue Candidate

The Republican establishment is obviously and understandably troubled about the primaries thus far and the results. There is the obvious problem when Donald Trump, not even a true moderate conservative, takes about the thirty to thirty-five percent or potentially more in the primaries thus far. Then there is Ted Cruz who grabbed second at the Iowa Caucus and will present a problem in many southern and mid-western states even into western states and past the Rocky Mountains. Ted Cruz is also not of their favorite centrist mediocracy. That leaves them bouncing around with their earliest choice of Jeb Bush failing in the early primaries needing to have a large showing in the upcoming South Carolina primary or his candidacy will be in dire straits. The next two hopes for the party elite are John Kasich and Marco Rubio and one had best excite the people sufficiently to become the sole opponent who can take on Trump and press the rest into the background if not out of the race. Ben Carson was a dream which honestly had next to no chance as we discovered with my House of Representatives campaign, the parties make sure that no outsider can break into the top tier as they keep the media concentrating where they desire and never ever will light fall on those not already in the game or wealthy enough to demand a place as that is the sorry case of politics the world over.

Now, making such even more obvious is that only those of the game or of great wealth may play in the political arena thus making all others unacceptable. Carly Fiorina has more management experience than all the candidates with the exception of “The Donald” and did something almost unheard of; she mastered the first debate winning herself a place in the top tier for debate number two. They likely believed that in with tougher competition she would wilt and they would be done with her challenge of the real politicians and actual worthies of high office. Carly Fiorina did not wilt but rather rose to the occasion in the second debate and received some recognition. The opening came in the third debate where her one slightest miscue and the combined accusations repeated and repeated and then came the silence, the dreaded silence from which her candidacy could never return, she was locked out. Now the Republicans are reaping what they sewed. They are stuck with a choice of political mediocracy versus, one fanatical religious moralist and one wealthy, boorish, unhinged faux-conservative and an unexcited base. Donald Trump has cornered approximately one third of the electorate with a fair number being new voters who would simply lose interest as soon as Trump leaves the candidate field. Ted Cruz has another third in the most religious conservatives who also might remain at home come the election if their demanding concerns are not met. The remaining third divided amongst the “mainstream candidates” will only matter if they are whittled down to a single challenger. As long as there is no singular candidate the division changing from one primary to the next leaves the Republican elite in an uncomfortable quandary about whom to promote above the others. That is their problem going forward with their hopes pinned on somebody breaking that stalemate and doing so as soon as possible.

Republican Candidates into South Carolina

Republican Candidates into South Carolina

There is a malady, a malaise if you will, and there are dark forces not the least of which is Iran once again and American hostages and the propaganda showing the United States as bent and broken by the masters of Iran. These Iranian leaders now believe their time to rule all has come. The United States has been humbled before the world once again just as they were in 1979 as United States President Jimmy Carter was stymied and unable to liberate the fifty-two hostages (the names of the hostages can be read here) of the original sixty-six who were captured United States Embassy in Tehran on Nov. 4, 1979, and including three who were at the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the last of which were finally released on Jan. 20, 1981 as the inauguration of Ronald Reagan was scheduled for later that day. At least the most recent incident with the capture of ten Navy seamen and woman did not devolve into an extended hostage crisis leading to months of captivity as the Iranians await the election before deciding whether to continue the crisis or not as in 1979-81 ordeal. Instead the Iranians exploited their time while holding the American Naval service personnel starting with the released pictures and videos of the Americans with their shoes removed, kneeling and hands raised behind their heads with armed Iranian IRGC (Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps) intimidating and despairing them including one video of one sailor in tears. It was later learned that the Iranians had paraded their Hostage Navy personnel through the streets further humiliating them and making a spectacle of their detainment. We could label this President Obama’s hostage crisis which he resolved much faster than had President Carter, but at what price?

The Republican Party elite may be consoling themselves feeling confident whichever candidate comes out the far end of the primary election will very likely be capable of defeating Hillary Clinton as they perceive her to be an easy candidate to defeat and the chosen one of the Democrat Party. They could be wrong on both counts. First off, if his early success in the Democrat primaries is any indication, Bernie Sanders could easily become the Democrat Presidential Candidate as he has drawn the youth vote out in massive numbers, much the same as elected Barack Hussein Obama twice. I am still having difficulty wrapping my arms around twice as if they did not learn. But then again the heirs of Obama’s policies will be out voting for his philosophical cousin, Bernie Sanders, making it appear to be a lack of worldly experience. So, a Bernie Sanders candidate facing the Republican with the same devotion of those too young to be trusted with the office voting for him in droves along with the normative thirty-to-forty percent Democrat voters makes for an impressive obstacle. Truthfully, Hillary (at this point, what difference does it make) Clinton would be a far easier candidate against which the base would come out and vote if for no other reason other than to keep her: abortion at any date even to include ten minutes after giving birth to as much as three weeks afterwards, guns only for the privileged and government, public schools including colleges for all except the elite, and taxes on all but the very poor but never to raise and probably lower capital gains taxes so the rich can remain untouched, kept out of ever walking in the White House other than a guided tour, and strictly checked for stealing more silverware, with the rest of the unwashed. The republicans have to face reality that should anybody other than Trump get the nomination two-thirds of his supporters will remain home disgusted with the process and if Ted Cruz does not get the nomination almost all of his supporters will remain home, and that holds true even for Marco Rubio. If you need proof of what we claim simply walk amongst the denizens of Oklahoma, the second most conservative state and ask the people in Tulsa or Oklahoma City to name the Republicans vying for their support and should it be Trump or Cruz then ask who it is they desire to win and finally ask them which one of Kasich, Rubio or Bush they might support and you will receive your answer.

So, the dilemma simply put. The Trump base will not support any other of those still considered viable and the Cruz base likewise will not support any others and what you have is a wholesale defeat against Clinton who Democrats will vote for even if they must close their eyes and hold their noses making sure not to breath for thirty seconds before pulling that lever and a full minute after. There will be special schools in freediving booked by Democrats simply to master holding their breath. So, your base and best candidates are poison to one third of your base and without them we get four and likely eight years of Clinton or worse, six years and a month of Bernie Sanders as he serves a term and a half after reelection, Socialist with that capital ‘S’ with Hillary as his Vice President and then just the slimmest margin less than a decade of Hillary as President of what is left of the United States. What is it that the Republican base is really seeking? Here is your question Republican elites, what will be the force which can galvanize the party and to be fully and completely supportive and actively campaigning for the candidate and include those Trump supporters as well as the Cruz supporter even if neither end up their choice for Vice President and who if even they pick Chris Christie as their running mate they lose not a single vote or supporter? So, what would such a candidate look like and what qualities should he possess?

Let us build that perfect candidate. First and foremost he has to have a background of some form of personal motivation and business savvy unto which Trump would bow with respect. He would need to be a true through and through conservative whose sweat of their brow would dissolve Roe vs Wade and to whom Cruz would move aside graciously. He would need to be one who in that pivotal moment where he cast all he had ever dreamed of aside for the merit of what Hashem would hold as noble came almost naturally. This person would only not be faulted if he was incapable of walking on water yet many would believe he not only could but has whenever he chose. A military man (and it could also be a woman), as all recognize the need for such as is necessary in these times of great challenge and unbelievable provocations could stand easily in the breach. A candidate whose mere presence on the stage would coerce any moderator to act deferentially and silence even the shrew that is Hillary and make Bernie Sanders be as a cartoonish character on the stage of debate. What it would take is a candidate with an impeccable character, a near perfect past, the respect of people across the political spectrum and an unparalleled grasp of the current impasse which threatens our world and the ability to explain it such that even the slowest of wits could grasp. We have mentioned our choice which is Lieutenant Colonel Allen West. Unfortunately for the Republican Party their elites hate this man so much that they agreed when reapportionment meant Florida lost one Congressional district to divide his district such that it would lose in both districts to Democrats so as to be rid of him and turned down the other plan which still cost them a seat to the Democrats but preferred to retain a solid lead in a seat where the current candidate was retiring but also did not include Allen West’s neighborhood making him ineligible. He ran in the contest in which he resided and necessarily lost just as the elites desired. Morality is a thing not only not revered but accursed to politics. Should a man have honor he will not be controllable and will do as he sees as honorable and correct while the rest will follow directions. Allen west will not follow direction as his life story has proven and his early retirement from the military, though disgraceful for the military, bears out. They claim he broke their rules but he claimed guilt as he did what he did to protect the lives of the men under his charge. Following the ROE (rules of engagement) and ROI (rules of interrogations), he put the lives of his men before his career which was pitch perfect and proper to that one fateful day when he made the career ending choice (read about it here). We are open to others and may one be found acceptable to the Republicans should they reach a brokered convention, something none of the political class desire as it leads to unpredictable results.

Men of Great Stature Reagan, Eisenhower, Allen West

Meanwhile, the Republican Party is adrift with not only no one who knows the path to relevance nor anyone who will unite the many strands of its base but only with candidates who will, out of their actions past and present, alienate one third of their base of support. We have covered this numerous times but why not; once more into the breach we go. Contrary to that which Republican Party elite tell us time and time again, we cannot win unless we get the vote of the enormous middle. The Democrats talk this line up but deny it by the candidates they present which do not chase the middle vote and only ply their wares to grasp their base, as fractured as it may be. As long as a Democrat candidate is accepted by three or so of the many disparate groups, the rest will fall in line as such is what is required so when their candidates run they too are supported. This means that any Democrat needs to hold true to a fair number of beliefs to reap a wide consensus of their base and cruise on to victory. Republicans need one who can light the imagination and gracefully support the mainstays of the Party and be sufficiently conservative that they satisfy the purists that the entirety of the base comes out and supports them. Thus was the now immortalized Ronald Reagan, though he began his life as a Democrat and Unionist, and before him the man responsible for winning the War in Europe, General Dwight David Eisenhower. Both were men of courage and ideas and there are but a few born to every decade and it is up to the public to find such men and follow their lead. For the record, the “Reagan” Democrats were actually the extremes of the Conservative base which underpins the Republican Party. The extreme conservatives who voted that year along with the more socially moderates who voted that year were still largely not normative leftist Democrat Party supporters. They may have been had the Republican placed Pat Buchanan or other paleo-conservative on the ballot on the top spot as they would be unable to couch such a person as President. Such a choice would scare that end of the party and they would likely remain home. Still, there is not a single candidate left in the contest rigged by the party elites who could gather the entirety of the Republicans across their span and have them appear at the polls and without the base you lose, something the Democrats understand and the Republicans constantly claim is beyond their ability as they always for the most squishy of conservatives attempting to grab that middle and least left Democrats, two targets where the first does not exist and the other is too well trained to stray from their posts in supporting their party, period. Again the Republican elites have decided to field a candidate they are comfortable in having and ignoring the desires of most of the base in exchange for the chimera of the soft middle voters, a phantasm which exists only in the minds of the foolish and the delusional and through who elections have been lost for generations past and to come as they will never learn that which they refuse to believe actually exists. These New England conservatives, people who would be leftist outcasts in Oklahoma or Wyoming, cannot begin to fathom the depth of voters so conservative as to be beyond their understanding which is why they lose election after election for the Presidency which actually includes the flyover states, imagine that.
