Why Am I not All That Worried?

Everyday I hear a similar question in several parts. Perhaps writing articles here at Beyond the Cusp makes them believe I actually know and understands what is going on in the world and especially in Israel. It might also be my record of making predictions which have a great amount of veracity and often coming true almost exactly. Whatever the reason, I realize these questions are posed hoping I can ease their minds or accurately warn them when to start to worry and make plans accordingly. The first part of the question is worded something like, is a war coming in the near term? This is usually followed by asking for clarification as to where. This is when I have had to provide some not so great news. The reason is that Hamas in Gaza in the south has stated that they will join in any war should Israel engage with Hezballah in Lebanon to the north while Hezballah has promised to join any war Israel might engage with Hamas. The answer is it matters little where the next conflict starts, it probably, thanks to orders from Iran, will encompass a two-front war against both Hamas (with Islamic Jihad) in the south and Hezballah in the north. This, fortunately, may not matter for the remainder of this year as my feelings are that there will not be any all-encompassing conflict, or this is my wishful thinking.

There have been a slowly increasing escalation from out of Lebanon and Syria where Hezballah and the IRGC are aiding Syrian forces loyal to Bashir al-Assad along with Russian air and defensive support. The escalations by these forces have gone from single or twin drones to a drone swarm and single rockets to multiple rocket launches and the use of guided anti-aircraft missiles against ground vehicles. Hamas in Gaza use rocket launchers, anywhere from two or three to as many as a dozen or two. On both fronts, the Iron Dome has intercepted the majority of these projectiles projected to strike populated regions at an unreal excellence and proficiency. There have been threats made after every exchange with Hezballah always making the claim that Israel started everything and thus they will respond to the Israeli belligerence. The only problem with their claims is that the exchanges are almost if not always initiated by Hezballah or Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Hamas also has their weekly, of more accurately daily, rioting along the border replete with launching of kites, balloons and the occasional drone with explosives and incendiary packages aimed for the destruction of Israel. They love the land so much they are willing to completely destroy everything such that nobody can use the region. These are the situations which many in our circles are concerned about, even to the point where it dominates conversation more than the coming election, but not more than the general banter which makes leaving the house worthwhile.

To the best of my discernment, many in our circles are displaying a level of tenseness and apprehension noticeably higher than usual. They claim that my lack of uneasiness with what I write and apparently obsession with the news cycle is unexplainable, even considering that I do not believe a war is inevitable this summer or until late next spring. Tomorrow morning, I fully expect to have this conversation within fifteen minutes of meeting the first of my regular circle leading to the same reaction of head shaking and pressing their feelings of ill-at-ease adding an, are you sure, to the conversation. If I am fortunate, others will not overhear our conversing as that almost inevitably brings others echoing the same questions and disbelief and even some expressing concern for my levels of sanity. I always assure them that I am still as unbalanced as ever. The upside of this tense situation surrounding us guarantees that people will want to converse so they can ask and be reassured that there is nothing coming in the immediate time-frame as none of the enemies of Israel desire having everything they own broken and having to wait for Iran to smuggle in a resupply of the necessary components for their rockets and drones. Outside events often supercharge the conversation and the number of scenarios discussed and presented as reasons why I am confused and unfounded in holding such an optimistic, almost Pollyannaish, attitude regarding the danger level around the threats which are thrown around weekly if not daily some weeks. Between Nasrallah boasting of the competence and preparedness of the Hezballah military units being capable of returning the Galilee to Lebanese control, read as Arab control, from the occupation by the Zionist Entity and Yahya Sinwar who leads Hamas insisting that the Friday (and often other days just peeking on Fridays) rioting will continue until the occupation by the Zionist Entity has been destroyed, we are pretty much guaranteed two to five threats each week depending on the need to distract the people from their poor governance. When one includes spokespersons from Islamic Jihad, commanders of the IRGC, Iran itself and Mahmoud Abbas and the rest of the Palestinian Authority (read PLO) circus all coming at the same demands, that the Jews take their rightful subjugation by their Islamic superiors, we seldom go two days without some threat raising concerns.

Hezballah is a terror army with all the abilities of the Lebanese Army in addition to their own forces as two-thirds of the Lebanese Army are members of Hezballah or sympathizers and thus do pose a credible threat. The IRGC is a second military fielded by Iran and are Islamic hardliners with radical beliefs. They are well trained and receive the same if not better equipment than the Iranian Army. This provides them with all the same capabilities as the Iranian Army with the possible restriction of less air support. Add in the Iranian Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei with his and the Iranian fanatics chants each Friday after religious services screaming, “Death to America, Death to Israel,” there is an additional guarantee for my conversation. The way I figure things, if there really was a threat of a war coming in the near period, they would have displayed a far higher rate of increase in the attacks and terrorism. There was the latest attack by Hezballah where they fired anti-aircraft guidable missiles at an IDF base targeting the vehicles and striking a field ambulance which could be claimed was an attempted escalation, almost, as they struck a converted Merkava I battle tank, which are obsolete as a main battle tank but make for a far safer ambulance for the rescue of injured soldiers in an active battle scenario, and claimed they had injured numerous IDF soldiers and claimed possible fatalities. The entire scene at this base was set up with mannequins which were evacuated as if being actual injuries. After Hezballah made their bombastic claims, IDF spokespeople revealed the reality that no Israeli was injured or killed and that the entire exchange was a trap which Hezballah took the bait, hook, line and sinker.

Still, the situation which Israel faces on a daily basis is serious and threatening. In the Middle East, threatening is the natural condition, and not just between Israel and her neighbors. Syria is in the midst of a long-running civil war, Iraq is fighting its own Kurdish citizens in the north securing the northern routs for Iran to provide supplies, forces and weaponry for the IRGC, Hezballah and forces fighting supporting Bashir al-Assad, Yemen is in a civil war with the Houthis attempting to overthrow the elected government with Iranian support provided by both the IRGC and Hezballah forces, the Jordanian King is facing the threat of massive unrest from the Arab Palestinians plus all the other conflicts surrounding the MENA nations and the remainder of the world. This is also another reason why I doubt that there will be any conflict this year. Iran is behind almost half of the conflicts in the Middle East. The other violence is mostly Islamic forces attacking those of Animist, Christian or other non-Islamic faith across central Africa in the Transition Zone (see map below). There are also conflicts between India and Pakistan as well as the civil unrest on Mindanao in the Philippines among other regions of strife. With most of the Arab and Islamic world facing internal as well as external conflicts, Israel has become less of an issue throughout their world.

This lowering of the level of concern and hatred against Israel as there exists an even more menacing threat, Iran. This has sent Saudi Arabia and many Gulf States to form an almost speaking relationship with Israel. There is far less mention of the Zionist Entity and threats with an exception for the Imams whose entire repertoire consists of hating Israel and Jews. This has caused the uninitiated to express their prediction that Israel will ally with Egypt and Saudi Arabia in order to counter the Iranian threat. Put absolutely no credence in this theme as everything will revert back to hate for the Zionist Entity as soon as Iran ceases to threaten the Sunni Islamic world. Simply put, take Iran out of the equation and the Sunni world will return to their emphasizing the destruction of the Zionist Entity and the return of the region to Arab Islamic rule, their defined norm for not only Israel but to the remainder of the world. Islam has a very simple definition for the world. They divide the world into two camps, Dar al-Islam and Dar al-Harb; being defined as the world of Islam and the world of war respectively. Making this slightly more complicated, the Sunni Muslims and the Shia Muslims each consider the other to be heretics and thus part of Dar al-Harb. This also explains the high level of animosity between the Sunni Arab states and Shiite Iran. With Iran actively holding heavy sway over Iraq and their total control of Lebanon through Hezballah and Syria where they are assisting al-Assad defeat his opposition for control of Syria; this forms what many refer to as the Shiite Crescent and has all but encircled Saudi Arabia potentially explaining their sudden affections for Israel, the sole military which is capable of restraining Iran from doing whatever they please.

There is one other reason that we doubt that there will be a war this year, and this includes elections. We can gladly say that the Israeli elections are not the main criteria but the 2020 American elections. Iran is aware that should they be caught pressing for a war anywhere in the Middle East, even Israel, then President Trump would have a free ticket to pose a massive assault on Iran destroying their nuclear program and military ability. As long as after hitting Iran and dealing them a definitive and debilitating strike President Trump departs Iran, then this would leave the rebuilding and possible selecting new governance for the people to do as they see fits them best. Should Iran return to being ruled by a governance nearly identical to their current theocracy, then they would face the same policies from the Trump administration. If the Iranians built a representative governance and called for recognition and relations with the rest of the world, this might be accomplished once their new governance was solidly in place, a constitution or similar document designed and order restored allowing for free and open elections, then perhaps Iran might join the rest of the world. This would require their disbanding the IRGC, ending all support for Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezballah and all other terrorist organizations, ceasing their support and control over Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen and liberalizing their civil laws allowing for greater human rights and other freedoms. Then the Middle East could return to their natural positions of complete and total rejection of Israel. This would work to relieve some of the terrorist threats on Israel, but all of them would remain and simply be seeking new backers such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Saudi Arabian entities and other support even to include the European Union, United Nations with accompanying agencies, European nations and others around the world. Things would take a while to settle into whatever the new conditions would become, and things would become more unstable as the terrorist groups would start to compete with one another while seeking funding and support. This would make things unsettled and far more dangerous and quite possibly could press a war with Israel to prove they are the real and true threat to the Jewish State. That is the Middle East, “It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma,” the description Winston Churchill gave in a radio broadcast in October 1939 talking about the actions the Russians might take in World War II.

To Make a Safer Israel

We will take a look at what it would mean to make Israel safe for all such that none need fear a knife in the back, a gun in their face or any other threat to life and limb. Such an Israel would make life better for both Jew, Muslim, Christian, Arab, Pilipino, Druze, Bedouin and anyone else be they temporary workers, tourists and especially people living inside the borders of Israel. This will not be an easy task nor will it come without some actions guaranteed for brandishing against Israel by her consistent detractors worldwide. The storms which will follow actions intended for mutual advancement and insuring safety for all will be portrayed as racist, the favorite charge of those opposed to equality for all and seeking only power for themselves. You will not have to believe us on this as if and when any of these ideas are adopted generally within Israel, the screaming which will follow calling the people behind the changes racist will be just the start. There will be meetings demanded in the United Nations General Assembly, the Human Rights Commission, petitions of the United Nations Security Council, claims filed with the Israeli Supreme Court, emergency sessions of the European Union and these are but an introduction before the storm of protests in every western capital and major city by all the usual suspect NGO’s. Still, the safety concerns and threats to all residing between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea must come to an end.

The main threat to all these people is terrorism. Terrorism affects every part of the Israeli community from the Jews to the Arabs and everyone inbetween. This scourge should never have been invited back into Israel with the return of Yasser Arafat. We now know that he did not return to be a partner to building the best Israel for all its peoples but as a conquering hero to deconstruct everything which had been built and accomplished by Israel and prevent all which was still to be accomplished by Israel. Oslo is now a sad fact of history and unchangeable. The Second and Stabbing Intifadas are two more sad facts of history which are not going to be easily erased. But as much as these events tore great wounds in the Israeli society and destroyed lives, we would rather not count, and been the cause of too many funerals on all sides; there is no longer reason to continue with this farce, this charade, this war by peace process. Israeli governments had every reason to end this at its infancy and at every painful growing step inbetween and must finally put this monster in its grave. Jews have born the brunt of the damage in deaths and maimed citizens. Arabs have born an unintended damage of lost trust, lost opportunity, lost liberties, loss of freedoms and loss of trust by non-Arabs. The casualties from this monster cut across racial, gender, ethnicity and religious grounds and have taken a toll on all. This must end and end immediately.

The initial step will be the most difficult, it always is. As every paratrooper learns if they have never jumped before, the hardest part of that first jump is the step off of a perfectly functioning aircraft. That first step is a crucially necessary yet frightening step, as are all first steps as they take us from what we were comfortable with, even if uneasily so, and place us in a new and uncertain future where things are going to need to change. The same will be true in making Israel better and safer for every one of her peoples. The first step in this case comes concerning Mahmoud Abbas and his concert of fellow terror masters. They need to be returned to where they were before Oslo, not necessarily Tunisia, but definitely exiled and persona-non-grata from Israel. Then the remaining leadership of Fatah, the PLO, Palestinian Authority, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, officers from security forces and everyone who is a known participant in the terror campaign to force the Jews from Israel and replace the Israeli democracy with an Islamic Sharia tyranny will need to be removed. This step will be opposed with force often using the very weapons Israel provided the security personnel. At the start, let it be known that every person, both Jew and Arab and all others will have a simple choice, which side they stand with. One side will be represented by the IDF and Shin Bet security agency and the other by the terrorists and their supporters. Those deciding to stand with Israel should let this be known at their earliest convenience to an IDF soldier or Israeli security personnel and you will be located in a safe place for the hopefully fairly short duration. The leadership is known to Israeli security officials and will be located and sent into exile with their ill gotten gains and can live the remainder of their lives in wealth. Those who decide that they would prefer to go out in a blaze of glory, the IDF is fully capable of providing that blaze, as far as glory, the IDF is not in the glory business, just the saving of innocents to the best of their ability.

Terrorism is Light’s Out

After the leadership has been removed, the remainder will be more at ease and able to decide their own future. This offer will be made to all residing between the Jordan River and Mediterranean Sea, and it will be a one time offer for each to choose including those who are Jews as we would not desire to leave out any from even amongst our own who have questionable loyalty. For Israelis, it will be assumed that you are loyal to Israel and if this is a problem for you, it would be to your advantage to avail yourself of one of the deals which places you outside Israel; otherwise, it will be assumed that you have accepted the loyalty oath. For those residing in Palestinian Arab regions, if you desire to remain within the borders of Israel (River to the Sea), then you will be required to sign a loyalty oath where you are simply promising to never take up arms against the country of Israel nor intentionally harm those residing within her borders. What are the other alternatives should you decide not to sign such an oath? They are very simple. There will be an offer to buy your properties for which you can prove ownership and then you can leave Israel never to return. It is likely that there will be a sliding scale bonus which is intended to make any relocation more easily accomplished. This relocation bonus will start at some set figure and then each month that passes it will be reduced by ten percent and after the tenth month will no longer be available, so if you are leaving, haste is to you own interests. After a year has passed from the completion of removal of the leadership and known terror planners, bomb makers, rocket makers, terror trainers and all the other people deeply entrenched in the terror trade, those remaining who have not signed the loyalty oath will be found and forced into exile as they will be assumed to be sympathetic to the causes of terror and intend to destroy the Jewish state. From this point forward, any act of terror will result in exile with no opportunity for return for the terrorist and every last person who aided the terror. Those who decide that Israel was joking about permanent exile and return into the borders, they will be arrested and their penalty will be simple, first offense will result in exile and second offense will have a sentence of life imprisonment or the death penalty. The latter will be more likely if the return was with the intent of causing an insurrection or for the commission or coordination of acts of terror.

We can propose what we view as the best hope and opportunity for the Palestinian Arabs as have a number of other editorialists and political scientists, and each of our plans will give a disparate group an idea of how their area would best be served, and their situations may change while they adjust, but they all have the same shortcoming, they are not able to be implemented as long as Mahmoud Abbas has the heaviest and largest group of guns and the thugs to use them. Nobody is going to step forward to take any of these opportunities is doing so will only get them dead. That is where Israel will need to step up to the plate and remove the threats hanging over these people’s heads and give them one final shot at freedom and the management of their own lives. They will also need to understand that this is their last and final shot at living real, ordinary lives and that it is going to take all of them working to realize a true and tangible, honest and viable peace with Israel or they will force Israel’s hands, and those hands have even more and bigger guns than Mahmoud Abbas, the PLO, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and all the other terror and criminal gangs combined. Israel can and should offer the Palestinian Arabs willing to sign an agreement where they will no longer wage a war of any kind against Israel in exchange for the managing of their own lives freely and with the rights they are willing to grab. If the Palestinian Arabs cannot take over their own lives and allow criminals or terrorists to take over once again, then they will have spoken for their area and will face the appropriate action in return. Mess up this opportunity and lose your opportunity to remain within the borders of Israeli provided protection and the result is you will likely find yourself in Jordan if lucky and Syria if not or potentially anywhere inbetween where somebody is willing to take you. But this final opportunity will obviously not be won independently by the Palestinian Arabs without Israel first removing the threats from around their collective necks. Initially, this will be peace at the end of a collection of IDF bayonets as Israel provides the initial fertile ground for the Palestinian Arabs to show their true colors.

Israel will need to remove the PLO, Fatah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and everyone else who refuses to permit the Palestinian Arabs their right to freely choose their new leaders for possibly the first and definitively their last time. Either they choose leadership capable and willing to work with and reside peaceably under an Israel security umbrella which will keep out the rain but also not permit threats of any kind from within the Palestinian Arab population. The people of Gaza were presumably given an opportunity to build the perfect Palestinian Arab society and they did this by throwing off the Palestinian Authority and PLO largely and for the main reason that they were not killing Israelis fast enough and they chose Hamas to lead them. Well, this time there will be no PLO, no Hamas, no Islamic Jihad, no Islamic State, no Iran and nothing to prevent the Palestinian Arabs willing to sign a loyalty oath declaring their intention to live at peace with Israel from choosing leadership and a form of self-governance which will work for their benefit and pose no threat to Israel. Of course, some groups of Palestinian Arabs will choose to continue the old habits under new leadership. The first ones caught heading in this direction will hopefully serve as warning to how this will end for any others contemplating their own extinction event. Israel has run out of patience with those dead-set on attempting to murder every Israeli and some even every Jew in the world. This is the one thing which will be evidenced as the quick way to lose everything. This will be the final opportunity to have self governance and for remaining within these walls. Any attempts at choosing a terror based governance or other governance evil in its outcome will result in the elimination of that group of Palestinian Arabs as they will be deported. Any group deciding to elect Barghouti or similar anti-Israel, anti-Zionist or anti-Semitic leadership will find themselves under close scrutiny and if some form of general insurrection is their true choice, well, that will be their last lost hope for independent and a free existence. Israel should be prepared for anywhere up to half of the disparate Palestinian Arab choices to result in a simple continuation of the same embezzlement and rampant violence forcing the Israelis to act immediately to counter such a choice from initiating a more dangerous and well armed core group. Any such group should be treated as the pariah as they have earned to be treated. Israel is under no real suffocation and need not permit any rejectionist groups from operating within her borders and posing a danger to her people. Any township, city or other entity resulting within the Palestinian Arab leadership inimical to Israeli interests will be removed along with those who support them. Should this result in the exile of the entirety of the Palestinian Arab population, then that will just have to be the result with which the world will simply have to adjust, even the European Union. If the European Union truly cares so deeply for the Palestinian Arabs, then perhaps this could be the place to put those whose final choice was to one last time choose those who would work to destroy Israel.

There have been ample opportunities for the Palestinian Arabs to find a suitable form of governance which could provide them with the means for productive lives posing no threats to Israel. Even so, this will necessarily be their final shot at a decent life of self-respect, self-reliance and peaceful coexistence with Israel. Choose poorly and one can expect consequences as the Palestinian Arabs will not be provided any more opportunity to choose wisely, carefully and fully cognizant of what a poor choice will bring upon them. Still, we figure at least one third will still choose leaders who desire to bring Jihad against Israelis before even thinking of their responsibility to govern the people for whose lives they are responsible. These will be sent to join the initial wave who voluntarily decided to leave. There will not be any further games or failures of leadership as the safety and opportunity to live full and productive lives is also the right of every Israeli. Far too many Israeli lives have been lost or shattered being sacrificed for the sake of Palestinian Arab freedoms. It is far beyond time that Israel acted solely for the benefit of her citizens and made a future for their children free from the fear, war, terrorism and the other pestilence which have plagued Israeli society as they wore the albatross of the Palestinian terrorist debacles around their necks. Israel is and always has been and will be a beacon of life and opportunity and must no longer suffer these defeatist attitudes. This may be the last time Israel will have the backing of the White House in taking such steps to bring an end to what has been the most intractable problem of the last hundred years. None of this means that Israel must act rashly or vindictively out of desires for revenge. This is an opportunity to give doing the most for the Palestinian Arabs this final time before simply cutting them out no longer permitting them the free range to harm Israeli citizens. Israel need not suffer any more deaths, kidnappings or even holding the bodies stolen from the field of battle as hostages. The time to push a new dynamic is long overdo and if Israel misses this golden opportunity, she very well may never see another such opportunity come her way for the foreseeable future. Israel no longer has any time to count her blessings and must realize they need to strike while the opportunity is available with a guaranteed veto of any Security Council sanctions. Israel, if required, must act in her highest interests which must be her own people and especially her children. Israel must suffer no further Fogel family slaughters or Salomon family slaughters who were assaulted at their Shabbat evening dinner meal, deaths of infants such as Adel Biton or Chaya Zisel Braun’s whose family were struck as part of a vehicular ramming attack at a Jerusalem light rail disembarking point (see video below), no further Park Hotel Massacres where people, largely older people, siting for a Passover Seder were gunned down where they sat or any other of the nearly uncountable terrorist attacks which have plagued the Israeli people since this war against the Jewish People began around 630 A.D. in Medina, Saudi Arabia. Israel need not lose another soldier to terror and its ramifications.

This must, by necessity, be the absolute final opportunity for the Palestinian Arabs to get their governance correct. Should they at any point going forward allow terrorists to take over their government, then they will have earned Israel sending their entire village, city or area into exile. It is well past time for Israel to simply say, ‘Enough,’ to all the terrorism and violence. There is no other viable option than to pacify the Palestinian Arab population by destroying their ability to do harm as well as removing those communities which pose a threat. This can be accomplished by new governance but should they choose to remain ruled by terrorist masters, then they will be ruling themselves from outside of Israel where such actions would be able to be considered an act of war, and aggression from a foreign nation upon Israel. If it becomes necessary that Israel take the position and the world be damned, then such need be the case. Anyway one slices this cake, it is the last opportunity for a group which has been granted several such opportunities and never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. No more.

Abbas Going on Anti-Trump Tour

Mahmoud Abbas has a whole new reason that every world leader needs to recognize Palestine, preferably with Jerusalem as its capital city, because doing that is just so in your face Trump. He will be heading to the European Union (EU) Foreign Policy Ministers’ monthly meeting and starting with the top Foreign Policy Minister, Federica Mogherini, following up with the other twenty-eight Foreign Ministers on Monday. Riad al-Malki, the PA official in charge of foreign affairs, said Abbas will tell the EU, “Since Trump’s decision has altered the rules of the game, he expects the European foreign ministers to come forward and collectively recognize the state of Palestine as a way to respond back to Trump’s decision.” Wow, now that takes chutzpah! Now Mahmoud Abbas is not only declaring that the United States is disqualified from moderating anything of the Arab-Israeli Conflict, but is now inviting the EU and member states to replace the United States as the moderator and to do so they will qualify for this honor if, and only if, they recognize the new Arab State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital. It is still unclear whether he means Eastern Jerusalem or all of Jerusalem which he has claimed before. Abbas elaborated on his theme from last week’s Islamic Conference Organization emergency meeting in Istanbul stating, “We have to take legal, political and diplomatic measures. The US has chosen not to be a mediator for the peace process. We reject it as mediator. The US is with Israel and supports and backs it.” Abbas added that, “Every Monday we will join another twenty-two or thirty organizations. There are five-hundred-twenty-two organizations, and we have the right to be members of them. Injustice has been committed against us, and the peak of the injustice is the US declaration that united Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.” What our benighted ruler of the Palestinian Authority (PA), PLO and Fatah very intentionally left out was the fact that President Trump’s declaration refers only to Jerusalem and specifies that its borders are to be determined in negotiations. Technically speaking, President Trump’s declaration was no different than the Russian recognition by Putin of West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Israeli Channel 10 News reported on Sunday that Slovenia is expected to recognize the State of Palestine as a response to President Trump declaration of Jerusalem, plus there were reports that three other European nations, Luxembourg, Ireland and Belgium. The Foreign Minister of Luxembourg several days ago called for the recognition of Palestine, in an effort to persuade France to take the lead of a group of European countries. A number of European nations have recognized the State of Palestine in largely symbolic moves. This anti-Trump tour by Abbas actually may have found the one chord which will reverberate in Europe, especially those with leftist governances which hate President Trump more than they desire to accept reason. We have seen many examples of such overreaching hatred of Donald Trump daily in social media posts, a hatred which apparently does not weaken with time. Mahmoud Abbas is working this angle as his former argument that the Jews, Israel, is the central cause of the wars, chaos, terrorism and everything else going wrong in the world thus if only the world would recognize that Israel must be replaced with Palestine such that the world will be corrected. If only these lands, which are an Islamic Waqf, meaning that it had once been conquered by Islamic forces and thus must never be ruled by any other, were returned to Arab Islamic rule with Mahmoud Abbas as its caring and compassionate ruler, then all would be right with the world. Well, almost everything as there is also the matter of that other Islamic Waqf of Lands known to most of us as Spain. Islamic leadership has never forgiven the Christians of Spain for their expulsion in 1492 and claim that Andalusia must be reinstated and Sharia, Islamic Law, must be restored. But now Mahmoud Abbas can use both arguments and play of the many Europeans who, largely secretly, hold anti-Semitic beliefs and feelings and now add to their anti-Trump dispositions to the pot and stir it well. Abbas has come to tell them he has a new idea where he intends to “See no Evil, Hear no Evil and Unleash His Evil.”

Abbas’s Promise to “See no Evil, Hear no Evil And Unleash His Evil.”

Abbas’s Promise to “See no Evil, Hear no Evil
And Unleash His Evil.”

He knows that his time is short and that once he has accomplished his state that if he establishes this state without making it demilitarized and allowing the Israeli Defense Forces and other security groups to guard his domain for them, then without the Israeli overview, Hamas will remove him and take his life in a mere matter of weeks if not days. Abbas had best remember the lessons of Gaza and how merciless Hamas was against their own brothers simply for the sake of power. The real problem is the reality should any form of Arab nationhood beyond being granted a semi-autonomous region under Israeli domain much as they actually have currently. What the world appears to be missing is the reality that the Palestinians in Judea and Samaria already are apart from Israel outside of security agreements and live under the laws and rules made by their elected legislative governance. The world has always simply blindly accepted Mahmoud Abbas description that the Palestinian Arabs have been denied the right to vote since 2005 and that this is the result of Israeli perfidy. The problem is that the reason there has been no election since is because Mahmoud Abbas has refused to allow elections. The last election came when Israel turned all of Gaza over to the PA. In this election, Hamas won with by a healthy margin. Mahmoud Abbas having Fatah lose the election for the Parliament made his rule difficult. The conflict for control went on until Hamas took complete control over Gaza leaving the fortunate Fatah and Abbas supporters fleeing to Judea and Samaria. Then Abbas expelled as many Hamas followers that the PA knew about leaving the Hamas part of the legislature ruling Gaza making it a no-Fatah-zone and the PA ruled in Judea and Samaria evicting all Hamas and Islamic Jihad members and Abbas’s Fatah Party ruling there. Israel does not rule over any of the Palestinian Arab populations. So, the Palestinian Arabs have two separate governments with one, Hamas and Islamic Jihad, ruling Gaza and the PA under the Fatah Party ruling in Judea and Samaria. The PA rules Area A and selected areas of Area B and Israel rules Area C all according to the Oslo Accords. As both governances, Gaza and the PA, have devolved into dictatorships both on occasion actually having their parts of the Legislature hold a meeting, usually as part of a photo opportunity and a way of pretending that they have any normative governance. These shows are used to blame Israel for preventing their actual rule or to make believe they have kept a promise such as altering their Charter from stating their intention to completely destroy Israel and kill every single Jew in the process. This coming show is no different from any farce put on by the PA. Unfortunately, this new ploy may just work better than their previous attempts to destroy Israel. There is one saving grace; Mahmoud Abbas has guaranteed the Arabs he rules that he will only accept the complete destruction of the Zionist Entity, or Israel. As even with all the European recognition in the world is not going to destroy Israel thus Abbas will reject any agreement offered no matter how generous, as he has already proven. It is so odd that the person who is often the saving grace for Israel ends up being Mahmoud Abbas. How ridiculous does that sound? We agree.
