The Canard of Israeli Responsibility for Arab Palestinians

Roderick Balfour decided to correct his forebearers horrific error of permitting the Jews to have a homeland as long as they allowed for the existing residents to retain religious, civil, property and all other rights with the exception of political rights which would be reserved for the Jews and those whom they decided to permit political rights either individually or as a group. Roderick Balfour has claimed that the reason behind the growing anti-Semitism is the lack of Israel in finding a solution to the Palestinian conflict. Apparently Broderick Balfour believes that Israel could simply impose a solution without the entire world exploding in raucous demands that Israel negotiate before reaching any agreement as the Palestinians must be permitted their input in any solution. Even were Israel to allow for the maximalist solution and destroy the literally hundreds of thousands of Israelis homes and businesses including those in East Jerusalem and returned to within the Green Line and recognize the areas beyond the Green Line as Palestine the problem would be anything but solved nor would the world accept this as a fair solution despite the generous granting of what the world currently claims is the maximalist demand. As soon as this solution would be enacted Mahmoud Abbas would be in New York, Turtle Bay to be exact, before the General Assembly of the United Nations denouncing the audacity of Israel imposing a solution on the Palestinian Arabs which is wholly unacceptable. Then he would ask what is to be done with the eight million Palestinian refugees including the millions re-exiled from Syria because of Israel not recognizing their right to return and live in and around Tel Aviv. The world would then take up the demand that Israel allow eight million Arabs to be resettled within Israel and forcing Israel to grant them full citizenship and then hold an election so they could elect Mahmoud Abbas as Prime Minister of Israel, and that would be the result of such an eventuality. The world would see nothing wrong with such a result as it would fulfill one of what appears to be a main desire of the world as a whole, the elimination of Israel and the eradication or complete subjugation of the Jewish people. If the United Nations could through the General Assembly make one religion a crime it would be Judaism. You doubt that claim but let us not forget the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 3379 where they voted seventy-two approving, thirty-five against and thirty-two abstained declaring amongst other things, Zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination. That vote is all too close to that United Nations General Assembly declaration which chose the nationalist movement supporting Israel, Zionism, as a form of racism is equivalent to Israeli policies being the cause of people having antagonistic feelings to Jews simply because they are perceived to support Israel thus are suspected of Zionism and thus deserving of scorn.

Anti-Semitism, Zionism Equals Racism, Israelis are the New Nazis

Anti-Semitism, Zionism Equals Racism, Israelis are the New Nazis

Here is the reality which so few ever address, the problem with solving the Palestinian Arab problem lies with the Palestinian Arab leadership who refuse to even negotiate. What is even more revealing is the reason why they refuse to negotiate, they are rewarded for refusing to even negotiate, let alone reach an agreement. The original Oslo Accords divided the regions of Judea and Samaria into three sections depending on their likelihood for development and residence. Area A was dedicated to Palestinian Arab political and security control. Area B was left to Palestinian Arab political control and mutual Israeli and Palestinian Arab security control. Area C was given to Israeli political and security control. The intent was that Area A would remain under Palestinian Arab control, Area C would remain under Israeli control and the negotiations would be over where to draw the lines in Area B. By refusing to settle and then even to negotiate the world had rewarded the Palestinian Arabs with now demanding that Israel surrender most if not all of Area A, B and C and give away half of Jerusalem and forcing over three-quarters of a million Israelis to resettle destroying their homes and, for many, their places of work as well as where numbers of Arabs also work. And the fact that as time has passed the world had sided with the Palestinian Arabs and demanded more than the international agreement demanded from the Israelis. Israel lost any part of Area B they might have received in negotiations and all of Area C which the original Oslo Accords would have awarded Israel. But additionally the world had rewarded Mahmoud Abbas, his family members, the top members of his monopoly on power with millions, tens of millions and for the elite hundreds of millions of dollars and continues to do so year after year, month after month. The world spends more on each Palestinian refugee each year than they do on some whole groups of refugees. Further, Palestinian refugee status is the sole group of refugees whose status is passed on from one generation to the next. If a Palestinian refugee were to marry a Hawaiian and had three children who each married, one to a Parisian, one to a New Yorker and the last to a Brazilian and each of those couples had three children, how many Palestinians would that have at the end? The answer is seventeen Palestinian Arabs refugees, the original refugee, the person they married gets refugee status, each of the three children, the three people they marries and all nine children from those marriages. If that makes no sense, imagine the same thing with a Haitian refugee and the end count with the same mathematics and you end up with one Haitian refugee.

Yes, that did not help much. All the world’s refugees except the Palestinian Arab refugees are cared for by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), also known as the UN Refugee Agency. The Palestinian Arab refugees are cared for by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). They are the sole group to have their own refugee agency. According to the figures for 2014 UNRWA received $1,342,180,849 to cover just over five million refugees which provides per refugee just over two-hundred-fifty dollars while UNHCR $3,055,908,219 to cover just over sixteen million refugees which provides per refugee just under one-hundred-ninety dollars. Despite this and the fact that the Palestinian Authority, the governing body responsible for governing all aspects of the Palestinian Arab refugees in Judea and Samaria, receives additional hundreds of millions if not billions per year from the European Union, United States, individual European nations, numerous Arab nations every year resulting in far greater available funds for these refugees. Additionally, there are some of the largest Palestinian Arab refugee camps located within Gaza which is governed by Hamas, a Palestinian Arab group recognized by most as a refugee entity, though that has become debatable in much of Europe and another few located in areas under Palestinian Authority governance. The difference between these refugees and the presumed Palestinian Arabs, who are also technically under United Nations definitions, also refugees are, well, which side of the barbed wire and which are permitted freedom of movement and which are restrained at gunpoint. Mahmoud Abbas and his security forces enforce a difference between the Palestinian Arab refugees residing inside the barbed wire and the Palestinian Arab refugees residing outside the barbed wire for one reason only, the ones located inside the barbed wire are left from when Jordan held the region illegally after the 1948 war with Israel and are denoted to be relocated within Israel. This makes them a form of weapon against Israel so that no matter what Israel does, as long as Israel remains the homeland for the Jewish People, then Israel has not sacrificed enough.

Israel cannot resolve the Palestinian Arab conflict simply because the problem is not the fact that there are Arab refugees but that there is a Jewish State. The Arabs decided back in the Khartoum Resolution of 1967 and the Three No’s; NO peace with Israel, NO recognition of Israel, NO negotiations with Israel. Please explain exactly how Israel can resolve the problem under these conditions, and Mahmoud Abbas has assured the Arab World that he will abide by the spirit of these restrictions and will never settle for anything less than the complete destruction of the Jewish State and the Jews either scattered to the far corners of the world or exterminated. This was the promise made originally by Yasser Arafat and has been continued by his understudy, Mahmoud Abbas. This is why the Arab refugees are still held in camps. What is interesting is when Kuwait deported every last single Palestinian worker after Yasser Arafat supported Saddam Hussein during the first Iraq War after he conquered Kuwait and upon their liberation by the United States and their coalition. There has been no additional outrage when Bashir al-Assad shelled the Palestinian Refugee camps within Syria, did you even know there were Palestinian refugee camps in Syria and that they were shelled? Assad actually shelled them before any other location simply because he figured they would oppose him naturally and why not simply make sure such could not happen. We do not really know the why al-Assad decided to bomb and shell the camps before anywhere else including areas where he knew that his opposition was located. Why was there no anger throughout the world and Resolutions from the United Nations General Assembly against Kuwait or Syria over the Palestinian Refugees? Perhaps because they were not Israel? If you doubt that as the reason, well, hate to burst your bubble but that is exactly why there was no world reaction. As for Roderick Balfour and his claim that Israeli politics is responsible for growing world anti-Semitism, well, that is about as true as claiming that Canadian politics is responsible for people denigrating Canadians or Putin’s intervention in Syria is responsible for anti-Cossack feelings. Roderick Balfour ends by stating his unwillingness to participate in the Centenary Celebration of the Balfour Declaration unless Israel takes unilateral action to end the conflict. One wonders if Israel took the only unilateral measure which is within her power to end the conflict would pass Roderick Balfour’s sensibilities, unilaterally deporting the Palestinian Arabs to Syria or whoever else might take them.

What the Guilty Verdict of Sgt. Elor Azariya Will Mean

Military court handed down guilty verdict finding Sergeant Elor Azariya guilty of manslaughter. The verdict was in at his arrest, with only the formalities left to complete, in this most obvious result in the universe. The media tried this case before the first military hearing or first witness was called. There was never the slightest doubt in the media, neither the Israeli nor the world, as the left slant of the media will always side against the military because they use violence instead of talking things out in a reasoned manner like they would as the real adults who keep us safe. The media has some less than reasoned beliefs; especially when it comes to the military, law enforcement or any other use of violence performed protecting the public. It’s that reasoned thing where adults would resolve such serious and difficult problems such as the five day weather forecast, political elections, budget issues and arresting violent, armed and dangerous felons or preventing terrorist attacks; oh, wait; the media run and hide when such problems arise and only come forth to complain about how law enforcement or the media used any amount of violence in resolving such situations. We are not going to debate the verdict or whether Sgt. Elor Azariya was justified or not and will leave that to the media, they will be salivating over this, and the demonstrators who will present the opposite views. Our apologies to the few media such as Arutz Sheva which will give all sides all the print they need to tangle and dice the verdict and evidence into second-by-second slices and view them from top, bottom, right, left, front, back, outside and inside and any other manner conceivably possible.

Our concern will take us on a different tack. This verdict will place the fear of imprisonment above and beyond the already burdensome Rules of Engagement (ROE), a military hierarchy which either fears or aligns themselves with the left, political establishment which also fears the media or is elected by them, and a public which is almost as equally divided. The losers from this verdict, other than Sgt. Elor Azariya, will be the soldier in the field who when facing any questionable situation where there might be any doubt or opening for leftist outrage will have an extra question in his decision protocols, will I face charges and is it worth my life to act or simply take cover and be safe from prosecution. Remember that at the other end of the infantryman’s rifle are very often terrorists who will have absolutely no decision protocols, they simply shoot first, second and continue to shoot until stopped, stopped by that soldier working through the ROE and now the political and legal challenges which are distractions far outside the norm for soldiers in what is in all honesty a combat zone. These soldiers are actually volunteers in a manner of speaking as if any Israeli teen upon graduating High School can find a means of avoiding military service by one of three alternatives, civilian service or seek some deferment or a long overseas vacation. The most honorable is civilian service but most Israelis choose the IDF and many religious Jews apply for the elite infantry units knowing they will face the harshest of training rigors and an uphill battle to meet and exceed all qualifications as well as have to compete against one another for the limited slots available. The highly motivated, altruistic, selfless, servants of Israel carry the weight of protecting their nation and its people on their shoulders. Now they also need to gauge the emotional state of the world, the probabilities of some prosecutor deciding to make a name for themselves before leaving the service and entering the work force hoping to polish up the resume and hoping if they do decide to use their weapon, whether the media might find reason to explode an expose doubting the need for discharging their weapon.

What seems to get lost in this mix is that these young people are facing terrorists who do not have ROE, do not wear uniforms, hide behind civilians, ambush civilians, hate life and worship death. The situation often is not cut and dry; and doubt, if permitted to permeate any situation, can be fatal as when fighting terrorism, delay results in the soldier’s life. These are the truths and we can rely that as time passes this decision will cause some unfortunate soldier to delay, consider one too many consequences, figure one too many angles, second guess before shooting and never get off that saving shot. It may well cost that soldier their life or worse, watching a civilian they were sworn to protect lose their life which would haunt them for the rest of their life. These are the stakes which these youth face regularly and adding more tension to their young lives is criminal, and we do not need any trial to figure this out. Was there no other means for the IDF handling this difficult situation? Unfortunate truth is, probably not after the media made such a monstrous crime of the century uproar about the shooting of a terrorist, injured and presumably subdued though not yet restrained, who had just stabbed another soldier and attacked others at the scene. Is such a mitigating factor? Apparently not in this or any case as they are enforcing the toughest and most moral code of any military in the world. For potentially making the IDF a target for recrimination by the world, its media and propaganda for the terror masters to radicalize more and more terrorists, Sgt. Elor Azariya may end up spending the next twenty years of his life in a military prison and his life will never be the same nor likely ever recover from this ordeal.

Knowing some will demand our opinion, I will speak for myself and not the remainder of our small staff, though the staff likely would agree. Was Sgt. Elor Azariya guilty of the manslaughter charge? That I cannot tell as I am not and never was a lawyer, intellectual, judge, politician or part of a paid media. Some of the above mentioned have the legal knowledge and possibly the background to judge fairly while others are simply presumptuous enough to claim that right. I can only speak as one who has carried a rifle and was in a combat unit though I fortunately never had to shoot any enemy targets, and in war that is what all enemy are, targets. The first thing in a case where an enemy has been taken prisoner but is not yet secured as they are seriously injured requiring medical attention, one must know the mind of the enemy. Would they still pose a threat and are they sufficiently guarded to prevent such threat. From what I have read, the terrorist in question was not being actively guarded, though there were sufficient soldiers that should he become a menace by one of their judgements of the terrorist’s acts and movements, then the terrorist would be neutralized, killed. This is what occurred and what was on trial here was the danger level the terrorist posed. Here we need consider the motivation to kill us the terrorists keep within them. We know they viscerally despise and hate us wishing us all dead. They would do anything to hurt and kill us. I guess the best way I could describe the level of animosity held by the terrorists is to point out that they would be willing to die to kill a little girl’s puppy because it would make her cry and place them in paradise as is his sick, perverse and beastly interpretation of his religion, and that level of hatred is only prevented from performing more acts of hostility and illogical violence when they are completely neutralized either through restraints or death. The terrorist was not restrained, you figure it out.

From Israel for Your Information

Just as the world’s media downplayed or simply ignored not only the massive forest and other fires where many were proved to be arson, there are some other stories which might not have reached the rest of the world we thought you might desire hearing all about. We will start out with lighter fare and work our way through to wherever it leads us. One factoid which became known this week has supposedly struck some in the Arab world as distressful, that there has been a steady increase of Israeli Arabs joining the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Another was the breaking up of a terror cell of eight Hamas backed Arab residents from the Sur Baher and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhoods of East Jerusalem. The cell was preparing to carry out shooting attacks in the Israeli Capital of Jerusalem and surrounding areas, including against an IDF base and targets on Mount Scopus, home to the Hebrew University and Hadassah Hospital. The cell had reconnoitered some of their targets and were about to attack the IDF base in North Jerusalem on Mount Scopus. The cell was apparently started by Hamas back in 2015 after many of its members were released from serving their sentences for previous “nationalistic” crimes, a euphemism for terrorist attacks. A statement released by Shin Bet reported, “The disruption of the [terror] network preventing a number of serious terror attacks in Jerusalem and its discovery again highlights the danger posed by terrorists with Israeli ID cards, who benefit from the freedom of movement and access to firearms, making it relatively easy for such individuals to carry out terror attacks.”

In plain English the point was that the instigating tactics and inflaming of anti-Israel and anti-Semitism exists and has been growing amongst Israeli Arab, especially those who received citizenship when East Jerusalem was formally annexed and the residents granted Israeli identification cards. Many of these who have taken to terrorism were initially educated by the Palestinian Authority (PA) and never were honestly integrated into Israeli society and still dreamed of the destruction of the Jewish State. This was also a further warning of some of the problems which now exist after so many decades of Arab incitement throughout their society and particularly in their education indoctrination schools and camps. The silence from the world’s media on these two stories stem from the same inadequacy, or better put, were filtered from the news by the same principle, no news which backs the Israel or Jewish side of this conflict must be permitted. On the other hand, every time an Arab is harmed even through a verbal slighting, no matter what the reasoning this must be blown out of proportion and be used to show the racism in Israeli reporting by the European and leftist world media. The simple fact of breaking up a terrorist squad one would think could be a good news story but only if it takes place in Paris, Rome, Berlin, London or any other Western metropolis as preventing terror in these parts is part of the “War on Terror” while the same events in Israel is part of “other news” and not the slightest degree of equal importance. The media would have you believe that terrorism in Israel is separate and totally different and unrelated to terror outside of Israel. According to too many media news editors, Israeli terrorist attacks are deserved while all terror outside Israel is horrific and actually Israel’s fault in the first place and thus can be reported and even blamed upon Israel if even the most tenuous connection is possible.

This brings us to our last story before more opinion comes your way. The United Nations, that great arbiter of beneficial actions has decided to vote next week in the General Assembly to fund a blacklisting of Israeli and international companies operating in Jerusalem, the Golan Heights and in Judea and Samaria. There will be no distinction as to whether these companies employ Palestinian Arabs or that by boycotting them they are acting in a hurtful manner as we can assure you that in virtually every company which had facilities outside the Green Line is employing both Israeli settlers and Palestinian Arabs. Why, you may ask, would the international community boycott or otherwise target Israeli companies who employ Palestinian Arabs with equal rights and salaries as Israeli citizens possibly causing these Palestinian Arabs who this is done to support their good paying jobs. The reason is as sick as it is disgusting. These Arabs, who work alongside Jewish workers, hold management and supervisory position in equal percentages as Jewish workers with some supervising Jewish workers, despite what you may have been told, are not helping the cause of proving Israel to be an Apartheid state which segregates against Arabs. All Palestinian Arabs must be dependent on Mahmoud Abbas, Fatah, UNRWA, and be providing ample fodder for the terror mills. Israeli employed Palestinian Arabs make often half again higher wages that even the PA security forces are paid and this makes for bad news. These Palestinian Arabs are considered by the world media to be collaborators and that can only be an evil Zionist plot to employ these Palestinian Arabs and provide them jobs and equal treatment and what would happen should the world find this out. When SodaStream was boycotted and maligned sufficiently that they closed their Judea plant and this cost nearly a thousand Palestinian Arab jobs but this was heralded as a good thing as it presumably cost the Jew settlers their jobs, but it did not because they have Israeli Identification Cards and thus just had a farther distance to drive to work and kept their jobs. The Palestinian Arabs would need to receive special work permit identification cards which would also have required clearance from the PA as well as Israel and these papers were slow if ever coming at all thus all that was accomplished by the boycott of SodaStream was the loss of Palestinian Arabs’ jobs making for another group of PA Arabs that Israel would not permit to work. Now there is a story they did report but did so making it seem like SodaStream had simply fired their Arab workers at their Judea plant and never noting it was the media that hounded them in closing that plant.

Many of these to be blacklisted Israeli companies will either move their companies within Israel or simply go bust and close up all together. Palestinian Arabs will lose good jobs and Jews residing now near their work will need to take transportation or drive further to reach their work. This blacklisting makes for some added stress for the Jews working in Judea and Samaria for these companies but it denies the PA Arabs of jobs which serves the propaganda campaign against Israel. If PA Arabs must suffer so Israel will look bad, well then to help these PA Arabs we must first destroy their jobs and lives. They are destroying workplaces where Jew and Arab work together in peace and with mutual respect in the name of helping the Arabs who without this help would have nowhere to turn, but it is more like because of this help they lose it all and then have nowhere to turn. These lost jobs are then trumpeted in the media of a wickedly evil within Israeli society refusing to hire Arabs despite the reality that it was the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanction) Movement which stole the existing livelihood from these PA Arabs who they now lament lost their jobs. It is one of the worst cases of it works so let’s fix it which leads to destroying a better life for PA Arabs because the story line must read Israel denies PA Arabs the opportunity to work. How can these NGOs demonize Israel if Israeli companies are treating PA Arabs as equals in their factories in Judea and Samaria, those “settler” companies? That is a question the media refuses to admit to facilitating.

The reality that the world is not being told about is that it has been the PA leadership which has refused to make any deal with Israel as they still adhere to the Khartoum Conference’s Three No’s which are, No Peace with Israel, No Negotiations with Israel, No Recognition of Israel. This was the agreement reached in an emergency session of the Arab League. It was his going against these agreements for which the Muslim Brotherhood, potentially but unproven assists from the Arab League or other Arab nations, arranged the assassination of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat after he Negotiated with Israel, made Peace with Israel and thus Recognized Israel. Anwar Sadat was a brave soul who knew he was tempting fate when he initiated talks with Israel meeting in Jerusalem with Menachem Begin. For reaching an agreement with Israel, Egypt was returned the entirety of the Sinai Peninsula with its small but profitable oil fields, its Sharm El Sheikh Resort community and with the destruction of twenty-plus Israeli settlement communities being removed and the Israelis taken back within Israel. That last bit is proof positive that the “settlements” are not an impediment for peace. If a true and real peace required their destruction, then such would become a definitive possibility, but the world does not want a peace or any settlement of the Palestinian Arab situation, the world wants it to fester and to become ever more dire with the Palestinian Arabs without jobs such that the destruction of Israel becomes the cry of the day. Mahmoud Abbas has flat stated that he will only accept a peace which destroys Israel as a Jewish State and is perfectly fine with an Israel ruled by Arabs. The fact that the Arabs he desired be moved to Israel include every Arab in any refugee camp including the camp in Jenin and the camp outside Nablus and even the camp attached to Gaza City. Yes, there are three massive refugee camps for Palestinian Arabs with their being held prisoners within lands under Palestinian Arab autonomy, complete rule when speaking of Gaza under Hamas. These Palestinian Arabs are guarded by Arab security forces and some even meet with family through the barbed wire topped fences. One need understand that these Arabs must be kept separate from their brethren because they are the political hammer and crowbar with which Israel is to be destroyed and as such they are only useful if they are kept as refugees in their own lands. And yes, the media, the Western governments, and the United Nations all know about these refugees left in these camps for the purpose solely of bringing about the destruction of Israel and they all agree that this is the end to be desired even if it leads to every Israeli Jew and Christian being slaughtered along with many Arab Muslims who are deemed to be traitors to the cause for being Israeli citizens and having a good life with all the benefits of being an Israel over being a Palestinian Arab inside the fences of Jenin, Nablus and Gaza City. Oh, and one last thing, there are no Arab refugee camps within Israel and Israel took in the same numbers if not more refugees of Jews forced to flee their homelands in Arab countries across the Middle East and North Africa. None were placed in refugee camps and left to languish in misery just to make a political point, they were taken in as brothers and sisters as they are just as much family as the Ethiopian Jews who were airlifted to Israel when their homelands turned on them and they needed a new home. These are all realities you will never hear from the media hype of mean horrible Israelis victimizing Palestinian Arabs with genocidal rage and hatred.

Israel being the good guys is rarely covered and when it is it has often been Israelis rushing to some of the world’s worst disaster places to assist in helping in any way possible. Israel has civilian corps and military units which are trained to provide assistance, do search and rescue, set up and man a complete field hospital including OBGYN, delivery rooms and a nursery as well as fully capable operating rooms and clinics which can treat people where they live and are injured plus perform triage of a sort for the main field hospital. One of the best examples was Haiti after their devastating earthquake and the Philippines after a horrific typhoon. Israel was at Japan after the earthquake and tsunami which destroyed the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant meltdown and destruction. Israel assisted in New Orleans after Katrina and in New York City and all its affected surrounding areas after Superstorm Sandy. Israel has assisted in Turkey, Nepal and just about every nation willing to accept Israeli help.

Israel has a group of heart specialists who assist with special cases where children require specialized help. The group is known as Save A Child’s Heart (SACH) and will go to any length including flying children and parents to a third country or even a fourth in order to bring them to Israel to receive the medical care not available to them at home. SACH also trains pediatric heart doctors the world over, especially the developing world, sets them up with entire treatment facilities and thus spreads their good work to many more children the world over. For any wishing to enjoy a benefit symphony to benefit SACH being held Sunday, January 29, 2017, in the Los Angeles area, please find information and link at the very bottom of this article and please visit the SACH link above if you are at all curious of their entire range of assistances provided.
