One would have thought that the President would have considered the possibility that he might lose the game before initiating a game of political hardball with Prime Minister Netanyahu on Netanyahu’s home court. From all the hurtful reactions and threats that he be declared the winner and have his way or else one might also begin to question the sanity and ability to command the largest and most powerful military on the planet. For all intents and purposes, President Obama has truly lost his mind over losing an election in which he was personally present but not an actual candidate. Is it beyond the ability of the childlike man sitting in the most powerful position in the world to accept that the citizens of another nation might decide independent of his desires when electing their nation’s leader in times where that nation possibly faces some of the most daunting challenges to its existence in its ever so fragile history? If such a contingency was not considered as even possible, let alone probable, and thus comes as a total surprise and impossibility to comprehend or accept by President Obama, such that in reaction to this reality he now threatens Israel with annihilation, must be taken as evidence that the President may suffer from debilitating imbalances and is now a threat to not only Israel but the entire world going forward. The reaction to something that had to at some point have been contemplated, that playing hardball politics against a seasoned and proven adversary might not be decided as the President intended, was at best childish and unwarranted from such as the President of the United States. That despite sending the best of the best of the available political operatives, the ones who were to be credited with engineering President Obama’s reelection campaign in 2012, backed by millions of dollars and euros from the United States and European governments and still being unable to defeat Netanyahu had to be an option to the situation even if an unexpected option. That President Obama would take such a defeat so intimately personal is the surprise even beyond the failure of such an overbearing effort, but perhaps it was the overbearing nature of the effort which enabled its downfall. Simply described, me thinks the man doth protest too much.
What is necessary now is for somebody in the White House to fall on their sword but still attempt in doing so to explain to the President that sometimes in life one will eventually, no matter how seemingly impossible, actually come up against an opponent who will prevail even against one’s best of efforts. I realize that this may just be the first time that President Obama had somebody, or around four-million somebodies, go to the polls and refute his wise and sagely advice and instead vote for somebody whom President Obama finds beyond distasteful all the way to an adversarial pain in the derriere. But to then demand that despite the people of Israel in an open and free election choosing this person as their next Prime Minister that this person must now act as if the other side won and is dictating policies is beyond arrogant and just a bit pedantic, unwarranted and beneath the office which Obama holds. That President Obama apparently intends to punish Israel and use the full force and power of his office to do so is as frightening as it is unwarranted. The comments that the United States, meaning President Obama without consulting either the peoples or the Congress of the nation he presumably leads, is reassessing relations with Israel and intends to quite possibly force a solution upon Israel against the desires and will of the Israeli government and to do so unilaterally and by any and all means at the disposal of the President of the United States and his administration using international bodies and alliances which will knowingly place Israel and her population in dire peril of loss of life and nationhood is simply unacceptable use of the power of the President. Does anybody honestly place forcing Israel to completely surrender all points and be forced to not only surrender all points to an adversary whose stated intentions is the destruction of Israel and the murder of its predominant population and to do so unilaterally and without receiving any assurances or even any hint that such surrender of all points of negotiation produce an end to the violence against Israel from these Arab entities is more a declaration of war than a diplomatic seeking of a resolution. Does President Obama honestly intend to use force of arms to insist that Israel now comply with his standing threat to pull back unilaterally to the pre June 1967 war lines, also called the Green Line, without any guarantees or concessions from the Arab side by Mahmoud Abbas and then begin to negotiate the remaining issues such as dividing Jerusalem, final borders and other issues. This was what was presented to Netanyahu as a potential solution being considered by the White House. The unanswered question of what remains to be negotiated once Israel has ceded every inch of lands which are contested beyond Israel pulling up her roots and moving to Madagascar or wherever as the only remaining issue at such a point is how many Arab refugees will be shoved down Israel’s throat destroying any and every last vestige of the Jewish nature of Israel and one more time sending the Jewish people out into the Diaspora begging the permission of others to survive in a world which is closer to the next Holocaust than it is to accepting a Jewish state despite the actual, and hopefully not temporary, state for the Jewish people.
What is beyond belief is that President Obama honestly expects Prime Minister elect, he will not actually be the Prime Minister until he has been tasked with and successfully forming a coalition of minimally sixty-one Minister of the Knesset, to commit national suicide just so President Obama can claim another Nobel Peace Prize while claiming to have untied the Gordian Knot which has proven to be the Arab-Israeli peace. The problem with this solution is it resembles exactly the method used in legends by Alexander the Great when he cleaved the Gordian Knot in two claiming to have untied it though use of force was not considered a proper method and thus Alexander would eventually fail in his efforts to conquer all lands the knot represented. The use of force or threat of force will not be any more successful in untying the Gordian Knot of the modern world any more than Alexander’s skillful use of his strong sword succeeded in ancient times and will only make matters closer to all-out war. Israel will not go quietly into the gentleness that good night, but into her old age will she burn and rave at close of day and rage, rage against the dying of the light. Israel has waited her sons’ and daughters’ return to once again be blessed by this land and this land will remain our succor into eternity for as long as the sun does rise and the winds gently caress these lands will it remain our home to even our last dying effort will we hold to our rightful inheritance. The land is ours by right of promise from Heaven echoed rightfully by men of courage whose efforts and love of Zion engaged and brought forth the Balfour Declaration which was then universalized and made the law of the lands under the auspices of the League of Nations who adopted the Balfour Declaration word for precious word written into the San Remo Conference and ratified unanimously by the League of Nations and adopted by the United States by the Anglo-American Convention on Palestine in 1925 and confirmed in 1945 by Article 80 of the United Nations and has never been abrogated thus still is applicable under International Law. President Obama should be informed exactly what he is intending by his actions, that should he persist then his actions will be interpreted as a declaration of hostility and an attempt to abrogate standing International Law and also to have taken actions against a standing treaty which as such is the law of the land for the United States. The areas into which President Obama, in his obsessed mind, plans on treading is thin ice due to the roiling boil of the waters beneath. Should his plan include use of the United Nations Security Council, let him be warned that the United Nations is also bounded by the San Remo Conference and under its own Charter in Article 80 these promises were reaffirmed and ratified once again entering the conclusion of San Remo into the present framework of International Law. With such justification and the righteousness of our claims to this our lands will Israel stand against any efforts you may intend to sanction in your name. Remember that without Congressional actions the President of the United States may not declare war or deploy troops and doing so against treaties entered into by the United States and ratified by Congress that the President might once again find himself standing lonely on the battlefield of ideas without a clue. No, President Obama, you may not take your vengeance out on a nation just because they did not heed your presumably sagely advice and instead elected a leader who will serve Israel and Israeli interests the world be damned if that is what is required. And if this leader fails in that task, then we will elect a new leader more attuned to the needs of the day and sworn to protect that which is rightfully ours by treaty and, more importantly, by the will of Heaven. Would you like to see our deed? Well, it can be found in Genesis where Abraham was promised all the lands where it states in “Genesis 17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” Is that easy enough because if not there is more even to include the treaties of man which promise the same and more, but you already are knowledgeable of such things being the most able man on earth. After all, according to Patrick Gaspard, your first White House political director, in an interview with The New Yorker in November 2008, he quoted you having stated, “I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that I’m gonna think I’m a better political director than my political director.” With minimal extrapolation we can guess you exceed at all things mortal and border on the realm of the immortal, still, Israel will not be pushed. We are a stiff-necked people and even more-so when our own beloved Zion is up for presumptive discussions. Do not doubt that for a moment, simply do not transgress there and think real hard as to whether such threats and actions will be worth the price you will pay when all is said and done. Just go repair Syria, ISIS, Libya, Yemen and the other problems which cry so much louder for your attentions, but those would require heavy lifting and you see Israel as an easy target, the low hanging fruit but you are mistaken, very mistaken. One would have thought you might have taken the hint from the election, leave well enough as is and go tackle some pressing problem and leave us to deal with our situations. Bye-bye.
