The Jordan Death Penalty Conundrum and Israel

Jordanian law has a very strict, irreversible, strident punishment for any Arab or Muslim who dares to sell land of any sort to a Jew. The punishment for committing such an act of daring-do is death. Where Palestinian courts have sentenced an unknown number of Arabs for selling land to a Jew, also referred to as ‘the enemy’ in another law; there are the Jordanian laws, which change usually becoming more stringent, as well as laws passed by the Palestinian legislators who have made any number of laws which have referenced selling lands, homes, apartments, facilities, and other references to properties which all carry a sentence of death. Often an Arab brought to trial for selling land to a Jew, the enemy, a middle man making a purchase for a Jew, any non-Palestinian and whatever other laws they can find even to accuse them of blaspheme guarantees that a death penalty will be sentenced for multiple offenses. The catch is that even after the courts have sentenced an individual to death, the penalty cannot be legally carried out until the President, currently Mahmoud Abbas who is serving in the eleventh or twelfth year of his four year term, has to approve the execution. Thus far it is assumed that President Abbas has never approved an execution though the BBC claims that he has approved three executions. What is beyond ridiculous is that Israel has refused to apply Israeli civil law and has left the areas of Judea and Samaria under military law but has at least annexed and applied Israeli law to East Jerusalem. The Palestinian Authority has, along with many in the international community even beyond the Arab and Muslim worlds including many European nations, the European Union and beyond, refuses to recognize Israeli annexation of East Jerusalem. This means that in East Jerusalem Jordanian laws no longer applies and an Arab is permitted to sell land, an apartment or any property to anybody they choose. The drawback is that the Palestinian Courts will still hold a trial and convict you sentencing you to death and send that order to Abbas for his approval. The truth is that once one is even suspected of selling property to a Jew, even if only because an investigation has been opened, they are at a much higher risk of non-judicial execution, often at the hands of the Palestinian Security Forces who in many ways are the police as well as the supervising authority. We here at BTC have no doubt that at some point, should things continue as they have over the past fifty years, then soon the Palestinian courts will be convicting Arabs who have lived in Israel and are and have been Israeli citizens all their lives as the Palestinian Authority does claim that all the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea belongs to them, the entirety of the 22% of the British Mandate lands which were not granted to Jordan for the initial Arab state in the Palestinian territories under the British Mandate. Why does Israel allow the continued application of such prejudicial law which targets Jews solely for exclusion from property transactions?

The entirety of this discussion and the institutionalized bigotry at the United Nations, within the European Union and many of its individual nations and throughout the NGO’s professing to be human rights enforcers extreme who have found that all of human suffering and every single human rights violations are perpetrated by Israel depends on a single premise, that being that before November 29, 1947, nothing existed and the world as we know it and all the nations of the Earth came into being at that time just as the United Nations was violating Article 80 of their own Charter and all the laws, treaties, conventions and other international forums which it recognized and made inclusive within the United Nations framework and took the proclamations made by the League of Nations resolving the results from World War I and identifying national borders throughout Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Northern Africa. The reason that the world has to begin on November 29, 1947, is because on that date the United Nations took the remaining 22% of British Mandate lands and divided it in what they called an even patrician with half for the Jews and half for the next Arab State carved from the original British Mandate after the 78% land grab where the British issued the Churchill White Paper which tore that land from what would have been the Jewish State to satisfy a promise to the Arab Hashemites to a homeland in return for their assistance in World War I. The White Paper left the Jewish State to be founded on the lands west of the Jordan River but that was unfair cried the Arabs. The Jews are taking all of our lands, we demand more. So the United Nations took a strong stand and insisted that the Arabs settle for half of the remaining land and allow the Jews the remainder which was divided so the Jewish lands was predominantly Negev Desert (see map below). The Arabs took one look at this United Nations General Assembly Resolution, a suggestion which is only valid if accepted by both parties, and immediately rejected it protesting that it was unfair, they wanted it all, period. They swore they would annihilate the Jewish State the moment dawn broke on its first day of existence.

UN Palestine Partition Versions of 1947 and included within UN General Assembly Resolution 181 which was rejected by the Arab League negating the UN Resolution as if either side rejects such a UN Resolution which is non-binding, it invalidates the entire agreement rendering it mute from that point forward. Jerusalem was to be managed by a corpus separatum (Latin: “separate entity”) set up consisting of an international groups most likely to be rotated. This offer was accepted by the Zionist Congress but having any General Assembly Resolution accepted by one side and rejected by the other is simply one hand clapping, useless.

Their threat was real and over half a dozen Arab armies and militias invaded Israel the morning of May 15, 1948, at dawn, the first sunrise over the Jewish State. Because the Arab League and all representatives for the Arab people rejected the compromise put forward by the United Nations General Assembly, Resolution 181 was voided as if it had never existed. The above map is now always flashed by Arab League members as the actual borders and that Israel attacked the Arabs and gained lands in 1948. The reality is that the World War I decisions which were validated and made enforceable by the United Nations, an obligation and not a suggestion, are the rules which apply and have applied since the start in the 1920’s and is the reason everybody starts in 1947 or even 1948 proposing a lie. The reality is Israel was the Jewish State west of the Jordan River and Jordan was the Arab State east of the Jordan River (see map below). This made the Gaza Strip captured by Egypt as well as Judea and Samaria (West Bank) captured by Jordan were both illegally held lands as they were gained by a war of aggression. Israel responded to the massing of armies on her border by Egypt and Syria in late May and into June of 1967 by attacking a day before intelligence reported the attack was scheduled by President Nasser. Lebanon joined almost immediately and Jordan began a debate and mobilized their forces while Israeli leaders pleaded for them to reconsider telling them the reports on television and radio by Egypt and Syria of great advances towards Tel Aviv were false, lies, and propaganda and that they were being decimated on all fronts. Jordan ignored and assaulted Western Jerusalem forcing Israel respond by diverting troops headed for the Sinai Peninsula and Jordan was pushed back beyond the Jordan River. Israel had liberated the Gaza Strip as well as Judea and Samaria (West Bank) while also gaining the Golan Heights and the entirety of the Sinai Peninsula gaining one bank for the Suez Canal. As these territories were gained in a defensive reaction to impending massive attacks on three borders, the lands gained could be legally retained or a good amount retained providing a case can be made that the new borders would provide greater defense for the nation. Israel used this to annex the Golan Heights from which Syria used to train snipers by having them shoot farmers working in their fields in the Israeli Galilee north. Israel could have retained the entire Sinai Peninsula as the Suez Canal would make for a good defensive front or they could have retained half the Sinai Peninsula holding the mountains and the passes through them. Instead, Israel returned the Sinai Peninsula in its entirety in exchange for a peace treaty with Egypt while Egypt refused to request the Gaza Strip. Israel offered Judea and Samaria to Jordan who refused the area ceding it to Israel. That should have been the end and the map below would have been the result but the world demand that Israel be made to fall all the way back to the original 1949 Armistice Lines which were the line defining Israeli borders before the June 1967 Six Day War. This is unheard of for any nation other than the United States in the latter half of the Twentieth Century. Somehow it is doubtful the United States would want to keep the areas of Europe and the Pacific and Asia they fought within during World War II. Israel would be well served in retaining the lands up to the banks of the Jordan River.

British Mandate as prescribed division between Arab State of Jordan and Jewish State of Israel

British Mandate as prescribed division between Arab State of Jordan and Jewish State of Israel

The first cry which comes from every front is to repeat the big lie that Israel retaining all of Judea and Samaria is impossible because then Israel will have to choose between being Jewish or being Democratic. The added population would only become a threat in twenty to forty years depending on growth rate of populations which you choose, and if you take the most recent and have trends continue one finds that Israel remains Jewish into the foreseeable future. Some claim that this creates a problem because the Arab refugees in the camps who have languished there since 1948 would be left in these camps indefinitely and must be relocated into Israel. This is the reason these Arabs have been kept in these camps which resemble apartment blocks more than refugee camps with tents. These unfortunate people have been retained in the camps for the reason of overwhelming Israel with these refugees and their descendants. The Palestinian Arab refugees are the sole refugees in the world whose status is passed on to their children and their children and their children presumably forever. What has been forgotten is that there were almost one-million Jews forced from the Arab and Muslim world between the founding of Israel and 1960 who relocated into Israel where they were moved into the general population as rapidly as was possible. These Jews now make up close to half the population of Israel and makes another claim a lie. We hear the Jews need to return to Russia and Europe where they all came from. Well, what about the other half who came from Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Algeria, Tunisia, Yemen, Qatar, Kuwait and other Arab and Muslim nations. Does anybody honestly believe that these nations would take their Jews back? When they refuse, then where do the Jews they rejected and their children go? And those Israelis who have one parent from European or Russian lineage and the other from the Middle East or North Africa? Have a lottery sending half to Europe and the other half to where when the Arab and Muslims refuse them? The Palestinian Arab refugees were being absorbed by the nations where the camps are located but when the PLO was founded in 1964, Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas with the rest of the leaders as well as the Soviet Union all demanded these Arabs be returned to and kept in camps so they could be used to inundate Israel and vote the Jews into the sea.

The last item that everyone ignores is that the terms of the Mandates and all the other treaties, conferences et. al. demand that while the Jewish State, Israel, must respect the property rights, the right to work, education civil and religious rights of their Arab peoples, they do not have to extend political rights to the Arab population. That means they do not have to make them full Israeli citizens and could allow the Arabs to have semi-autonomous regions where they rule themselves but Israel retains the right and responsibility for security and defending those lands. The Arabs could be given rights in places to participate in local elections but not in national elections. There are numerous solutions all of which start with applying Israeli law over all the lands and put an end to using Jordanian laws. This would allow Arabs to sell their land and seek a new life possibly with relatives in Canada or relatives in Egypt or anywhere between. This would bring to an end the enslavement of the Palestinian Arabs by threatening their lives if they wish to sell their lands and move. As things stand now, every Palestinian Arab can and many are being forced to remain despite desiring to sell their lands, even if they were to sell to another Arab as the Palestinian Authority and Hamas both desire having as many Arabs remain within what might eventually become Israel as a deterrent against Israeli efforts to purchase much of the lands from Arabs eager and willing to sell and start a new life elsewhere. This freedom to relocate is denied them by leaders who are stealing their future in every way conceivable. Spread fair laws, allow people to use their lands to their best advantage and get the terror fronts off their necks. The worst deprivation in the Arab world outside Syria and the war zones is the life-crippling internment of Arab Palestinians just to spite Israel and their leadership’s willingness to deprive them of a better and free future through imprisoning them in camps or in neighborhoods where cronyism and embezzlement are standards of governance. Even with these problems, the Palestinian Arabs have one of the highest standards of living in the Arab world, though their standard of living is far below that of Israeli Arabs. How often have you heard those truths? You do not hear that the Israeli Arabs have a good life and the Palestinians are all but enslaved by their own people and their own dictatorial leaders. In Syria Bashir al-Assad first used nerve gas on a Palestinian camp and first used barrel bombs on that same Palestinian camp. The Palestinian camps in Syria were bombarded for week after week and in most cases little was left standing. These camps which consisted of cement apartment blocks were levelled almost to the ground and made Aleppo look like a nice place to live at those times. Now nowhere in Syria seems like a nice place to live outside some Druze mountain villages. Even the Kurdish regions have become an intolerable war zone with the Turkish Air Force and Army doing everything in their power to murder even the youngest of the children and destroy all of the Kurdish lands. That is how Turkey is fighting in Syria, telling the world they are fighting the Islamic State when they are making the world safe for the Islamic State as the Kurds were one of the most effective groups fighting the Islamic State. Just another little black and white lie printed in your morning newspapers. Just another brick knocked from in the wall.

Final Weeds in the MENA Garden, Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Iran

In a nutshell Syria has a fair measure of the powers in play in the Middle East and into North Africa. In addition we will also need to mention areas centered on Nigeria where Boko Haram is centrally located making war on Nigeria and all her neighboring states. Then there is Yemen and two straits, Bab el-Mandeb and finally the Strait of Hormuz which are all parts of the Iranian designs which start with the Shiite Crescent from the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea and control of the two most important waterway choke points in the Middle East affecting everything from the eastern tip of Asia to the Western tip of Europe including the British Isles. But it all starts with Syria and the last block to the Shiite Crescent.

Iran sits conveniently at the eastern edge just beyond the Arab Muslim Empire and as such is mostly a different peoples east of the Zagros Mountains which have served as a defensive barrier thousands of years. This was the secret of the Persians and why despite falling to Islam they remained separate and distinct. Still, if Iran was ever to claim the right as the head of a Caliphate they were going to need to establish two things, a connection unobstructed to the Mediterranean Sea and thus full access to North Africa and South Europe and a mass alteration of Islam making Shia Islam dominant over Sunni Islam. The first is a major step towards the second. The hope was once Iran had access to the Mediterranean cutting across the Middle East gaining direct or implied control over much of Iraq, Syria and Lebanon they would appear, as Islam claims to be the superior, the strong horse and thus could influence many that Sunni Islam was weak and Shia Islam was dominant and thus start the conversion of Sunni Muslims to Shia Islam and thus become the dominant force reestablishing both the historic Persian Empire and taking over the new Caliphate and the lead position over nearly two-billion Muslims.

Iran had taken control of Lebanon when they took sponsorship of Hezballah which initially was a universally recognized terror group which was fighting the Christian militias and had also fought against the IDF using terrorist strikes in an attempt to wear Israel down and force their capitulation and return to south of the recognized international border known as the Blue Line. Eventually a left leaning government bent to the protests and declared an end to what they called a tragic period in Israeli history completely forgetting the reasons, the valid reason that brought Israel into southern Lebanon. Israel replied to the hue and cry of the Christians of southern Lebanon as Syrian troops invaded Lebanon aiding Hezballah who were facing being slaughtered and Israel responded to an intense threat of a human disaster in the making as had already been committed to the initial Christian communities near the Syrian border. Israel, Ariel Sharon in particular, was blamed for a revenge strike on Sabra and Shatila massacring the Muslims which were carried out by the Christian militias and not the IDF. Still the world could not blame the Christian militias as they were irregular fighters and as such were not sufficiently organized with a command structure and as such their silence made finding those responsible became impossible so the work picked the next best thing, Israel. Europe had what seems like a default setting that if it happens in the Middle East, then when in doubt, blame Israel.

Once Israel retreated from southern Lebanon the Lebanese military was supposed to move in with United Nations oversight. Neither occurred and in many instances the United Nations aided Hezballah in their efforts to set up a series of tunnels as well as arms caches and command and control bunkers. This eventually led to another Israeli incursion into Lebanon after Hezballah kidnapped, and subsequently murdered three Israeli soldiers and killed five other soldiers at the point of the ambush inside Israel when they caught a patrol vehicle off guard and unsuspecting any incursion across the border from Lebanon. Iran uses Hezballah as their threat against Israel and has armed them to a point which is truly frightening as Iran has stocked Hezballah with at least one-hundred plus long range missiles and uncountable limited range rockets which have as much as a fifty kilometer range. Amongst the longer range missiles are stores of Zilzal-2 and Fateh-110 provided by Iran bringing them into Damascus and shipping them over land often on their own mobile vehicles. This is the threat Iran would threaten to unleash on Israel had Israel actually struck at Iranian nuclear sites and likely will be the first strike against Israel whenever Iran decides that they will attack the Jewish homeland. The total is well over two-hundred-thousand rockets and missiles from ten to twenty kilometer Grads, Fajr series, Shahab series and Ghadr missiles. Then there are the mid-range Scud series of ballistic rockets and then the more advanced guided missiles which the most advanced has two stages and Iran can strike Israel from Iran with these longer range Missiles so Lebanon can not only strike Israel but also northern Saudi Arabia and Egypt as well as all of Turkey and anywhere within Syria or Jordan and much of Iraq. With these longest range missiles stationed in Iran and Lebanon the range brings them to command coverage over the entire Middle East and beyond, a definite threat to the heart of Sunni Islam, exactly what Iran envisioned as their way to claim command over all of Israel. Their problem, Syria collapsed and nobody can claim complete control over Syria as well as over Iraq, the two breaking Iran’s Shiite Crescent in two.

Iran is not the only outside power with an interest in Syria. The most straight forward national interest belongs to the Russians who have one main port at Latakia and potential other locations along the Mediterranean shoreline which provides them a warm water port with easy access to the Atlantic Ocean. The Russian plan is likely to reposition a fair share of their Black Sea naval forces to the Syrian ports thus placing them beyond the Bosphorus which could easily be closed any time that Turkey might decide they are upset with the Russians. The teetering of the relationship between Turkey and Russia became very evident a few months ago when Turkey shot down a Russian fighter jet claiming it had flown into Turkish air space, something very likely as Russia has been bombing locations in support of Bashir al-Assad who has lost control over much of the nation he once ruled unchallenged. Now there are a number of militias and terror groups each commanding their own parts with Assad, the Kurds and Islamic State have the largest locations under their control. Other areas are controlled by the al-Nusra Front, an al-Qaeda offshoot, Free Syrian Army, Jaish al-Izzah, Levant Front, Alotfecat Brigades, and offshoots divided into Syrian Opposition-al-Qaeda network, Federation of Northern Syria, Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant or Islamic State. Each of these groups have so many offshoots that it becomes cumbersome to even begin to list them but for those who desire a detailed list one can be found here With al-Assad opposing these groups are the remains of the Syrian Army, Russian Naval and air support, Hezballah and some Druze militias are fighting in support of Bashir al-Assad whose control is limited to the westernmost areas of Syria including Damascus and the port cities which the Russians are defending with occasional air attacks flown against the terror forces but usually avoiding the Kurds and Islamic State and striking the weaker forces which al-Assad might be better poised to defeat.

Military Situation in the Syrian Civil War Areas of Control
by Major Force Divisions as of June 3, 2016.

The Kurdish Militias are holding the northernmost areas largely against the Islamic State. Turkey has provided bombing targets used for the United States air strikes as President Obama micromanaging their actions by putting their orders for strikes to Turkish intelligence. This has resulted in many of these strikes instead of targeting the Islamic State side of the conflict line are instead striking the Kurdish side making the situation more favorable for the Islamic State. The saving grace was that the Russians protested the NATO air strikes as interfering with Russian air strikes and set where the United States and Turkish fighter jets are restricted to a corridor which has actually favored the Kurdish forces. This became serious after Turkey shot down the Russian Fighter Jet. What is not discussed publically is the agreement between Russia and another air force in the area allowing for Israel to conduct tactical strikes in response to any attacks against Israeli forces on the Golan Heights. This was negotiated between President Putin and Prime Minister Netanyahu in Moscow early in the Russian intervention. This has proven necessary a number of times as the different forces have intentionally fired on IDF troops damaging vehicles and causing some injuries which required at times a more serious response than a couple of artillery or tank shells as a position required removal. These strikes barely make comment even within Israel but there have been some reports in a few of the smaller nationalist and Zionist sources online and in print.

Likely the most notable forces have been those of the Islamic State due to their early success largely in Iraq. They took control of the Sunni northern and central areas bordering southern Syria as the mostly Shiite Iraqi army forces simply fled or attempted to melt into the public. Their difficulty was that many of the Sunni civilians who these troops had tormented got their revenge turning over those Shiite soldiers who were guilty of such inter faction fighting. The Islamic State after their fast conquest of largely open areas and a few key cities in Iraq have now settled into defensive posture as they were close to overextension which had allowed for some key cities and towns being reclaimed. The Islamic State holds large open areas in Syria which are mostly desert and open scrublands which were sparsely populated. Their supposed massive victories were somewhat overblown in the hyperventilating Western media as they were hungry for a big story so every gain of the Islamic State, even those which were made in areas where they were unopposed were claimed to be grand expansion of their military control. The main story they should have never strayed from was the Islamic State’s brutality. This alone is the reason that the Islamic State deserves being liquidated by whatever means are necessary and this fight should be carried out largely by indigenous troops. Any support by Western forces should be limited to providing air support and precision strikes on such targets as command and control facilities and fixed positions as well as taking out the Western armor and other Western equipment. Other than such air support and potential cruise missile or drone strikes the Western ground forces should not be placed in harm’s way as such assistance is more often not appreciated and often used as reasons for protests and resentment. They should not risk being dragged into what may prove to be a prolonged number of operations in order to clear out pockets of resistance. As far as Syria, that too should not require any Western ground forces and be left to indigenous forces with support from Turkey, Jordan, Iraq, Iran and potential financing from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States.

Yemen Battle Map

Yemen Battle Map

The other front that needs addressing also has an Iranian contingent in Yemen. Iran is also attempting to gain the ability to completely disrupt all maritime trade by holding military threat over two of the most sensitive straights in all of the Middle East, Bab el-Mandeb and finally the Strait of Hormuz. The Bab el-Mandeb cuts off Israeli maritime access from the Red Sea on the way to the Indian Ocean and on to the rest of Asia and the Pacific as well as blocking any use of the Suez Canal by cutting off its southern access. The Strait of Hormuz has a large portion of the world’s crude oil shipping. Iran already holds threat over the Strait of Hormuz as one side of the entire Persian Gulf borders Iran (a huge ‘no duh’). This threat Iran has had and used since the Islamic takeover in 1979 requiring the United States to intervene as well as to bring in minesweepers to clear mines which Iran had strewn as part of their cutting off of the Strait of Hormuz. The Bab el-Mandeb sits off the southwestern most border of Yemen which borders the southernmost Red Sea. This is the other choke point other than the Suez Canal itself. The Suez Canal is safely within the borders of Egypt between the Sinai Peninsula and main body of Egypt which has only faced a force other than Egyptian when Israel held the Sinai briefly in 1956 and for a number of years after the Six Day War in 1967 until Egypt and Israel made peace in 1979. Israel never threatened to close the Suez Canal though it may have been risky using the Suez Canal during the 1973 Yom Kippur War as initially Egyptian troops were pouring across into the Sinai and within a few days after Israel mobilized and struck back were crossing the Suez Canal and for a while held both shores but withdrew back across the Canal into the Sinai after the world demanded Israel cease winning the war and immediately stop advancing on Alexandria and Cairo. Funny, there was no call for Egypt to stop their advance across the Sinai intending to strike into Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. I guess Egypt advancing and defeating Israeli defenders is completely different than Israel advancing and defeating Egyptian forces. Should Iranian Houthi rebels take control over sufficient areas of Yemen and a peace leave the areas in the southeastern end of Yemen then Iran would have access to blocking the Bab el-Mandeb and blocking the Suez Canal which would end all oil and maritime trade with Europe forcing those hardy enough to try having to circle the south end of the African Continent. That used to be a difficult and dangerous route before the canal and the main reason the Suez Canal was built. Iran desires to hold a stranglehold over maritime trade and oil trade thus being able to threaten the world and especially threaten Europe. That is why Egypt is assisting in Yemen and the West had best have an interest in what happens in Yemen, even if not as much in Syria.

There Will Never be a Demilitarized Palestine

Let us start this opinion piece admitting such straight out. We will claim this is our view and in no way represents the known opinion by us of any political party or entity within Israel and we doubt it ever will as the world cannot accept reality. Let us also report one simple fact that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s Corp test-fired ballistic missiles that had written on them in Hebrew, “Israel must be wiped off the Earth.” Also, any Palestinian State cannot be ruled separately with Hamas Ruling in Gaza allied with Islamic Jihad and likely in time if not already with the Islamic State (ISIS) and with the PLO terror wing which would subsume the PA which is but its masquerade face painted over the rotting hatreds at its core so as to make them appear acceptable to the Western World, especially the European Union and many of its member states. The Western World likes to believe in fairy tales whereby if a peace were ever reached with Mahmoud Abbas that Hamas would gladly join the party and celebrate an end to its violence against Israel. That is utter nonsense and in the quiet moments when the truth is whispered they admit such. Abbas has spoken the truth a million times in his native Arabic as has the dame fatal who recently serenaded the advisors and other members of the Obama Administration as well as Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR), Hanan Ashrawi, singing a tired old tune calling for the United Nations and Western World to force Israel into reasonableness, another world for complete surrender. The PLO is fully aware that even when Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump or especially John Kasich, Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio is elected, none of them will pose a greater hope for assisting them with the destruction of Israel and their only real opportunity is now with the waning hours of President Obama’s second term. So, what would happen should there ever be an agreement which established an Arab state alongside of Israel with much of Judea and Samaria as well as Gaza all under a single governance stipulated to be demilitarized, that is what needs be answered and in that answer the only obvious plan for a real peace will become clearly revealed.

The one thing which seems to have escaped everybody’s notice started back in 1947 when the United Nations on November 29 offered to divide the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea evenly with two-thirds of the Jewish State in the Negev Desert and Jerusalem as an international zone under United Nations rule. The Arab League refused this offer and their reason defined the entire Arab Israeli conflict. Their reason was they could not accept or permit in any form a Jewish State ever, period. This was further enforced when at the very dawn of the first day Israel was attacked by the combined armies of over a half dozen nations with the intent of a genocidal cleansing of the lands of the Jewish presence, let alone as a nation. Over the next year and a half the Israeli forces not only resisted being slaughtered but at the end managed to break through in the final hours to Jerusalem breaking the siege and permitting both the retention of part of the ancient Israelite Capital City since the time of King David and holding the route from Tel Aviv on the shore through to the Capital of Jerusalem. The Arabs attempted twice more to destroy Israel in the Six Day War of 1967 where the attacking armies managed to force Israel into taking control of the Golan Heights from what used to be Syria, the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt and liberating all of Judea and Samaria from Jordanian occupation and Gaza Strip from Egyptian occupation, that is very important, Jordanian occupation and Egyptian occupation. That begs the question of whose lands were the Egyptians and Jordanians occupying. Wait for it. The lands at the dawn of May 15, 1948 belonged to, you guessed it, Israel. These were the lands lost by Israel to the invading Arab armies back in 1948 when at the very start of hostilities all of Gaza belonged to Israel and the Jordan River was the Israeli eastern border where that morning the combined armies of Jordan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia were perched waiting for dawn to attack with the sun at their backs, and it must have been of great help as they pushed through half way to the Mediterranean before the nascent Israeli forces were capable of stopping the advance and in the process a Jewish force ended up surrounded in western Jerusalem and remained there until the end of the fighting when they were finally relieved allowing Western Jerusalem to remain in Israeli possession. The main point is that the Jordan River and the Gaza were both initially a part of Israel when it was designed and formed by the United Nations. There was another attempt which almost succeeded which came during Yom Kippur War of 1973 where Israel troops held or delayed the attacking forces of Syria and Egypt sufficiently that the reserves and soldiers on leave for the High Holidays were able to form a credible defense. Units were initially mixed as soldiers simply gathered and formed functioning units until order could be restored to the IDF and by the time the war ended Israel was moving on Damascus, Cairo and Alexandria but agreed to return to the final positions from the Six Day War returning vital lands to Syria and Egypt. That also needs to be heeded as Israel had crossed the Suez Canal and rolled off the Golan Heights heading across Syria, so Israel gave back lands even before any negotiations had been held.

A map of Israel should any of the nations of the world actually be honest and truly be seeking peace which can only be attained should Israel have the most defensive borders imaginable.

A map of Israel should any of the nations of the world actually be honest
and truly be seeking peace which can only be attained should Israel
have the most defensive borders imaginable.

When the Arab nations finally resigned to the fact that Israel was not going to be easily overrun militarily they devised a new tactic, destruction from within by political means. Thus was born the Arab Palestinians who were the Arabs who resided in the areas previously occupied by Egypt and Jordan. Odd as it may at first appear, the Palestinians were made up of areas which were held by two distinct nations, Egypt and Jordan. Many of the Arabs residing in Judea and Samaria (West Bank) were actually Jordanians who moved into the area under the assistance of the Jordanian government as well as the original Arabs who would have been Israelis, though over time the difference became a difference without any difference as both groups were Arabs and had all been granted Jordanian citizenship, thus are all previously Jordanians while the Arabs in Gaza were never granted Egyptian citizenship despite Gaza being occupied by Egypt for almost twenty years. The decision was, by assigning to these Arabs who were no different from Syrians, Egyptians, Jordanians, Iraqis, Saudi Arabians or any Arabs anywhere on Earth, the denotation of a new and presumed aboriginal identity. They were assigned a distinction which actually does not exist, but this was necessary to in order to plant a cancer within Israel with the hoped plan of destroying Israel in stages until Israel was so weakened by this disease placed within its borders that the Arab nations could marshal their armies and finally excise Israel from their midst. This was hoped to happen in a reasonably short period but things did not work as well as hoped and instead the cancer also revolted against their masters.

British Mandate as prescribed division between Arab State of Jordan and Jewish State of Israel

British Mandate as prescribed division between Arab State of Jordan and Jewish State of Israel

The Palestinians attempted to overthrow the monarchy in Jordan and then proceeded to Lebanon where they initiated a civil war which resulted in the forming of Hezballah which eventually eviscerated Lebanon changing it from its Christian origins into a dysfunctional terrorist state all but directly ruled by Hezballah, an almost universally recognized terrorist army. The Hezballah terror army had been most evident of late fighting in support of the Iranian puppet state of Bashir al-Assad in Syria or what used to be Syria and have also been reported assisting the Houthis in their war supported by Iran in Yemen. One could easily argue that Hezballah is the Iranian attack dog which will bite wherever directed by Iran which had, until recently, only used Hezballah to control Lebanon and attack Israel whenever Iran wished the world to look elsewhere, anywhere other than at Iran itself. This new and expansive use of Hezballah, one of the most expansive terror groups with cells worldwide, diverted so much of their resources from Lebanon that Iran sought new terror groups to employ against Israel. This created a strange pair of bedfellows as Iran started providing Hamas with funds and rocket technologies to improve their rocket threat to Israel. This was a first for a Shiite nation to be providing such aid to a Sunni group; but when it comes to destroying Israel, sometimes things can override other lessor differences, even some which has existed for many centuries. Iran has been attempting to gain similar inroads with the PLO through which they would gain control of the PA and the assigned respect and support of Europe, the United Nations and even some degree of recognition from the United States through Abbas and the method that first the Europeans and United Nations recognized as the one concept they could support in recognizing a weakening of Israel and possibly its eventual destruction without having to admit their perfidy.

That leads to the central dilemma, how can peace be made and still allow for Arab and Islamic acquiescing to the agreement. This takes us all the way back to November 29, 1947 where the Arab world gave their only and final answer, they would never, ever, ever recognize nor allow, permit, or in any way even negotiate with the Zionist entity Israel. The Arab League held a conference on September 1, 1967 in Khartoum, Sudan and produced what the Arab League called the Khartoum Resolution which stated that the Arab World would hold the line against Israel with no recognition, no peace, no negotiation, period. The full document can be read here. Many Arab League nations initially broke relations with Egypt when they made their peace with Israel. Egypt received the return of the Sinai Peninsula but resigned their occupation of Gaza back to Israel. The Arab League could not long ignoring the most populated Arab nation and the home of the leading Islamic University and after the Arab League relented over Egypt making peace with Israel, Jordan followed suit returning the parts of Judea and Samaria back to Israel relenting on the area they had renamed something less Jewish, West Bank, and reneged on their citizenship including on Jordanians who had relocated to take advantage of lower land value leaving their contribution to the ticking time bomb. Jordan subsequently claimed they had not relented returning the lands to Israel but had given it to Yasser Arafat to form a new Arab nation and thus the Arab Israeli Conflict entered its latest iteration. The one item which must be remembered is that the Arab Israeli conflict is a war, repeat, a war and wars can only be resolved when one side is destroyed or surrenders. Destroyed speaks for itself while surrender means that terms need to be reached which may include deportation or relocation of entire populations. The one other item which is always glossed over because Israel accepted and integrated almost a million Jews who were deported, forcibly removed or left due to threats to their lives from the many Arab and Muslim nations across the Middle East and North Africa. The Arab nations have kept their relocated refugees in apartment buildings separate from their populations refusing them equal if any rights and limited if any employment opportunities leaving them as a weapon with which to demand be resettled in Israel flooding Israel with the original half million which have since included their children and children’s children some to fourth generation now numbering close to five million forsaken souls. These camps are spread between the numerous Arab nations with some coming under assault by Assad and being driven off with the rest of the refugees from the Syrian debacle.

The Arab Israeli conflict, renamed the Palestinian Israeli conflict though still the exact same conflict and set of problems, basically has to reach a decision as to a set of three principle dilemmas. These are the final borders of the State of Israel, the placement and resettling of Palestinian Arab refugees from the camps throughout the Arab world as this is actually still a conflict between the Arab world and Israel, the Jewish state. The first and most important argument made by the Israelis is not a workable solution as even a Palestinian state which might begin as demilitarized, it would not long remain demilitarized as Iran and others would smuggle arms to their allied segments within the state be they PLO, Hamas or any other group or family. This has been proven by the rocket attacks by Hamas, the armaments and over hundred thousand rockets and missiles deployed throughout Lebanon concentrated south of the Litani river and along the Becca Valley Hezballah stronghold and training areas. The arms in numbers and varieties would be provided lavishly quickly ending any hopes of a real demilitarized Palestinian Arab state and instead replaced with one of the most highly militarized states as once the initial arms were provided and any confrontation with Israel is staged, then the Arab world would scream foul accusing Israel of disproportional force demanding that the Palestinians be permitted weapons for defensive usage. From there to tanks, fighter aircraft, helicopters, artillery and anything even including naval vessels for Gaza with the spiral being taken further at every opportunity would logically follow as if fitting an actual plan, imagine that. The eventual end of the whole Arab Israeli conflict, no matter what name one wishes to give the actual events, can only come to fruition in one of two outcomes, the end of Israel or the realization by the Arab and Muslim worlds that ridding themselves of the Jewish state will always be far more costly than they can reasonably accept. In other words, it can only end which one side surrenders and accepts their defeat. As things stand that is a long way from becoming reality. The first problem is that the Arab and Muslim world can fight Israel using their sacrificial pawns the Palestinians and various terror groups such as Hezballah and not resort to using any valuable resources of their own which they would prefer not to risk. Having Palestinians and other expendable assets sacrificed is something the Arab world has been willing to risk for over sixty years through one Intifada after another with their expendables now extending to include some incitable youths residing within Israel. Further, there are the Hezballah terror assets which had been the Iranian weapon of choice against Israel which they have since expanded to include Hamas due to other priorities taxing Hezballah capabilities. In order for there to be any change in the current routine of Intifadas and rocket wars, depending on whether the assaults are coming from Judea and Samaria or from Gaza, the Arab world pays little if any price other than possibly funding and even that they siphon off as much as possible from European, United Nations and United States funding sources. For there to be a fundamental change there would need to be an alteration forcing a price in the greater Arab and Muslim world for their warfare against Israel. Israel has been wary to escalate the conflict in any form but eventually the cost to Israel will force such an escalation.

There is but one single way in which Israel could escalate the confrontations forcing a level of cost onto the greater Arab world and Iran, fighting to win outright and not simply to contain the problem kicking the inevitable down the road repeatedly. The point at which Israel will have little if any choice may be coming faster than anybody realizes. If the United Nations Security Council forces a resolution through Chapter Seven Resolution and is willing to back up such a resolution with military force then Israel would soon be facing the world parked on her doorstep protecting the very lands from which rocket and terror attacks would be emanating and have no other choice but to issue an ultimatum for the world to end the Arab war against Israel or be prepared to remove their forces as Israel had been placed in a position of facing escalating danger that her people were unwilling to permit any further. With the world protecting the terrorists Israel would have no other choice. The other solution would be to give one final warning to the PLO and PA and other terror operatives in Judea and Samaria to cease or face being driven from their lands as Israel would no longer accept the slow death spiral forced upon her by the governing body known as the Palestinian Authority and the various entities it claimed to govern. Once Israel resorts to such an ultimatum there can be no more half measures or backtracking, the full force of the IDF forcing all of the PA and its people beyond the Jordan River and declaring the entire conflict finished and the original borders of Israel restored and final would need to be the unalterable position and let the world say and act as they choose. Such a choice would not come easy but losing three or more citizens to wanton terror is equally unacceptable and no nation would ever allow such a situation to persist anywhere near as long as Israel has suffered such losses. The time will eventually arrive when Israel facing little other alternatives and after having exhausted all other options will need end this conflict and make the Arab world admit their error in attempting to destroy Israel for seven decades and finally accept a reality which is never going to change. What other alternative is there as the Arabs known as the Palestinians have the same position as their forebearers, no recognition, no peace, no negotiation, period. Israel is going to need to alter that formula by whatever means necessary, period.
